I just got our service with VGI set up by Che, VGI technician, today. What an impressive company and technician! From the first phone call to todays awesome service I look forward for the first time in doing business with an internet provider! I am already running speeds in the country I never received from our previous internet provider the entire time we had them at a much better rate! The customer service is outstanding and the technical understanding is above reproach! Che listened to my requests, answered all my questions, and set up everything for us with such courtesy and skill that I just need to say WOW! Thanks Che and VGI for setting the standard above all others!!!
Daniel and Che came by around 11 (came early which was awesome!) both guys were super friendly, knowledgeable and did a great job explaining everything to me. Thanks VGI for hiring good employees!P.S put up a Tower in Carlsbad
I set up the appointment and received reminders the week before, day before, and day of with a tracker to show a much more accurate timeline for when the tech was likely to arrive for install. Daniel arrived a few minutes early which was great and then proceeded to review the set up procedure in case there were any concerns. Daniel was very friendly, courteous, and professional through the duration of the install. Answered any questions we had and gave a thorough explanation for easiest way to connect to new service. Initial internet speeds are so far perfect for our needs!
This is an update to the review I wrote on Thursday, 23 September. After reading the Owners response I agree with him and want to correct my rating. Daniel, the Tech was very courteous and apologized for not being able to connect me to the VGI system for internet. I remarked to Daniel that I suppose I will need to build a tower to get reception. We both laughed.I was unable to have service installed for WIFI because I live in an area that can not receive a signal from the tower. When the Tech arrived at my property he informed me that the Radio signal is weak in my area. He got up on my roof and checked for a signal. Result was a weak signal. So he told me sorry and that he could not do anything. We both said goodbye and he departed.
Daniel was very efficient and hard working technician but most of all was very kind and charismatic person! Very happy with him and the work he did. Was on time and done it a timely matter
Che, arrived on time and ready to get to work. He presented himself in a highly professional manner complete with well dressed uniform and a clean vehicle that was clearly marked. When responding to my questions he said Ill take care of it And he did...WELL! Additionally he went above and beyond and removed an old satellite dish that was no longer needed off my roof. Very polite and helpful. Made sure our internet was working before he left. If I two more hands, I’d give him 4 thumbs up!Bravo Zulu!!!
The phone contact to set up appointment was very good and went smoothly. The installation crew led by Dean was excellent, extremely helpful to a web novice - could not have asked for better. Advice on computer interface and suggestions to remove irritating problems with Microsoft Edge were all extra, above and beyond and i will recommend to neighbors and friends.
The customer service and service technicians for this company is one of the best Ive ever had to deal with. The service is great when its working properly. But I cant fully give it a 5 star rating due to the mount of times I have to deal with fluctuating speeds or shortages..Its not often. But enough to be annoying.But out of the other services Ive tried. Like Rise. Rhino, Texas communications etc these guys so far have been the best for my area.

Great, friendly Customer Service. Good communications on appointment status and professional install. Took the time to explain technology, options and cable routing in house. Requested antenna relocation to another VGI tower to allow install at back of house and was completed 2 days later. They even filled previous holes in fascia with silicone saving me a trip to the roof! Testing of speed indicates we are getting what we requested (so far, so good). Glad to get out of terrible reliability with other provider. Much better value than other local options. Wish we had come across VGI on our initial ISP search in rural Central Texas.

All the personal I spoke with was very professional, courteous and knowledgeable. I liked how you had an appointment time instead of a 4-8 hour window of showing up. They were running early so they called to see if I would be available and it worked out I was. It was very helpful how Aaron and Dean helped me with the best option for locating my router. Overall experience for the information and installation that VGI gave was great.

I had this service installed a few days ago. Everything works exactly as advertised. The appointment for installation was easy to schedule, the technician (Install Tech 1 - DM ) showed up on time, answered all of my questions with knowledge and intelligence, did exactly what he said he was going to do, and was extremely pleasant and professional. The internet service works seamlessly with no issues at all. I can highly recommend this service/company and Install Tech 1 - DM!

Very pleased with the install. The work was clean and no shortcuts were taking. I have an AV cabinet that was tricky to run cable to but the installer stuck it out and didn’t leave until he got it right; good cable management too.
People are nice but the internet is absolutely horrible. I’m paying for the 50mb per second speed yet I cannot get over 7mb per second on a good day, I really don’t understand. Had 2 different technicians come out yet had the same outcome. If they could fix this issue and get me some decent internet speeds, I may come to like this company but as of right now seriously thinking of canceling my whole plan. Not even worth the frustration. If I get charged the 150$ for 50mb I should be getting the 50mb but I can’t get over 10mb so…

We live outside of the city limits where internet options are few. We’ve had VGI for a while and they are constantly working to provide better services for their customers. The newest updates have definitely been noteworthy! Our speeds have been great with minimal interruptions. I am able to work from home on my computer without concerns.

Dean and Aaron arrived and installed the receiver and wiring for our new home. They gave me choices for receiver and wire run locations to minimize view distractions and were very knowledgeable. Aaron stayed and set up the main wifi router and its two companions in order to get the best whole house coverage. Dish installer was present at the same time and they worked in unison to set everything up and were professional.
Fast and efficient.. I don’t think I’ve ever scheduled an appt. with a cable company and had them actually show up at the actual scheduled time! The tech consultant, Chay(I hope I spelled that right), was so helpful and well informed with answering all of my questions. Definitely an A+ In my book!! And if they are this great from the get go, it’s already a win! Thanks so much!

I pay 70 something a month to have my internet throttled and maybe have consistent access for a week or two of the month. No notice when service is out, no info on repair time. Ive contacted customer service only to get the usual they are required to tell us if the speed is slow everything looks perfectly fine through our end. Maybe its the connection to your router or a device so what youre basically saying is that your technician intentionally connected everything wrong? Because i have changed nothing at all and Im wired in to the devices i use. How about dropping the monthly payments according to the internet we do have or be an honest company and work to please the people who pay you. Honestly sad when suddenlink becomes a possible -extremely unwanted- alternative.
They were on time, fast, polite, followed directions (husband didnt want roof penetrated), compentent, and they cleaned up after themselves.
I called about my internet outage late in the evening. Daniel showed up the morning after and spent about 2 hours figuring out the problem. He was helpful and polite. He reset my radio and after I replaced my router, my internet is back up. Ive never had any problems getting help when my service goes down.

Internet signal is very unreliable. I am without internet way too often for the $100/month i pay. On the bright side the customer service is decent as i have had to call them so much.

The service goes out almost every night. When customer service, for once, answers the phone they ask how Im using the internet when it goes out and when I say that I use my cellular hotspot that I have to pay for they suggest I keep doing that, which is ridiculous why would I have your terrible service then. They lie about the speed and functionality of their service. You do not get what you paid for.

Weve had problems with our service with this company but my wife and I are both nurses and havent had a lot of time to deal with our home issues especially with this pandemic. We have been working 160 hrs OT a month. When we started having issues they really took care of us!!

At first the service was top notch and bested only by suddenlink due to where I’m at this is all I can get but 3 days of having my internet messed up and being told by several techs it would be fixed by today and yet still nothing makes me start to believe differentDaniel And lynsi in the tech dept how ever y’all spell your namesyour promises and Guarantees mean pretty much nothing if the problem is still hereI hope this reaches someone who can solve issues or at this point answer a phone
We joined VGI several weeks ago. The techs have been nothing but professional while personable, efficient and helpful. The actual service itself has been great, too. The speeds are as advertised and we have yet to experience any problems or delays. I noticed in other areas when there’s been any outage, VGI is prompt to inform customers and repair any issues and then promptly inform again when it is fixed. Our family has been very pleased with the decision to join VGI. Thank you for the great service!

I’ve been with VGI for about 6 months and pay for the 15M service and I only get about 1-3 at most whenever I test the speed. I’ve brought the issue up and they want to charge a ridiculous amount for them to come out and test themselves. Terrible service.
Really great experience. The technicians came out even though it was raining. They will have to come back to complete the install when it is dry, but i am pleased with the level of customer service already. Very friendly, professional, and knowledgeable.

I cant speak for their security services, but their internet service is pretty terrible. At best, I get ~ 2 mbps download speeds, and at times Ive tested it and received results of 0.1 - 0.3 mbps. A good example is Im trying to download a 74 MB file for my homework right now and its estimating 30 min remaining (I started downloading it 10 min ago). To download a similarly-sized file two weeks ago took over an hour. For $75 per month, I would expect better.
I was having some unresolved problems with another company. I called Ricky Gonzales and he was able to switch my service and the tech fixed the issue left from the other company. We felt confident to leave the state on vacation knowing our house was safe!! Thank you VGI and Ricky!!

Their home automation and security systems are truly first class, and the service and support is local, highly skilled and always pleasant to deal with.
I thought living beyond the service area of a major cable provider meant that we had to use a satellite based high speed internet. I can tell you with complete certainty that satellite based high speed internet is far from high speed. I heard about VGI from a couple of rural customers and decided I give them a call. A couple of technicians came out to my house and within a few minutes they had us up and running. I am now kicking myself for not making the move earlier. Im able to consistently test at speeds around 30mbps and we can finally stream Netflix and Amazon Prime movies. Having true high speed internet has made living in the country that much better. Thank you VGI!
We had VGI at our company for around 6 months, service started out ok but gradually got worse as time went on until we lost internet all together. I called 4 different times with a call back number and sent an email directly to our salesman over a 2 week period and got no response or call back. I highly discourage using VGI if internet service is a must. On top of all that they want us to pay out of our contract. I thought a contract was dependent on a service being provided.
I received phenomenal customer service from VGI - from the individual who took my service request to the installers. This was surpassed only by their online service. I could not be more pleased - I recommend it constantly to anyone looking for an internet provider in my area.
