LOVE THIS COMPLEX!!! They made moving and signing the lease so effortlessly. We were approved the very next day. They were so kind when showing us the apartment and answering all my questions! Both ladies at the front are very kind! The laundry facilities are great and updated, the two pools are conveniently located along with the basketball courts, and they just put in a new grill. All of our neighbors are so nice and friendly!!! They really try to make the complex feel like a small community!!5 Stars all around!!

We had a leak about 1 1/2-2 months ago. It was fixed after about two weeks. Now I have called them once every week to get our water damage and the hole in our ceiling fixed. Bugs are coming in from the ceiling. The office lady is very rude and always tell me “we can’t get to you yet” or “I’ll call you when we’re ready”. Our carpet is stinky and stained from the leak as well and nothing has been done. I don’t think they plan on doing anything till we leave and it’s sad, we just got here.

If I could leave no stars I would. My boyfriend apartment has been without AC for over a week now. 99 degrees today and only going to get hotter. Apartment is currently 86 degrees. Management has done nothing unless we call the emergency number to complain, therefore they send someone. Been told portable acs/ fans will be brought and have received nothing. 10/10 don’t recommend this non updated and professional complex.

Deceptive. Before leaving Florida, called and confirmed on multiple occasions, before signing our lease, that the apartment is renovated with hardwood floors. - it was not. Kelsie was extremely rude, unprofessional, and would not take responsibility for the all the lies we were told. She was unhelpful and refused to allow us to speak with management. Never in my 10+ years of renting have I experience such a deplorable experience with a leasing office, guess theres a first time for everything. Welcome to TX.

The management is the reason why all of the residents don’t want to live here and the reason why nobody wants to work for CHW. In the past three weeks two maintenance employees quit and about two months ago two other maintenance employees also quit. Work orders and serious health and safety issues aren’t resolved in a timely manner. The swimming pools the laundry rooms public areas are not taken care of. The pool usually has empty beer cans and random trash in it not to mention the bird droppings all over the concrete and in the pool. Overall this apartment complex is really bad. Two thumbs down.

Worst customer service ever. Ashley Steele the district manager doesnt care about any of her tenants she just wants to get the open apartments filled so she can start getting that money. This the reason for the 0$ deposit. Once you get moved in they wont care about you and will not care to fix any of your things unless its convenient to them. We had damages from a water leak in November that lasted 3 days with constant leaking that still have not been completely fixed.

Great customer service, and quick to respond to apartment work orders. It is also very conveniently located near several shopping areas, not to mention the large park across the road.

!! TERMITES, WATER LEAKS, BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE !! The area manager for these apartments is very rude and always has a bad attitude, you will never catch ASHLEY STEELE in a good mood, she hangs up on tenants, using condescending language, and writes rude emails to tenants. The new front office person was obviously not trained for the job correctly, it’s obvious they don’t care about their tenants and are only doing this for the job and money. Complained to corporate on this and nothing will ever be done since it’s the company CENTRA that doesn’t care. The people who run these apartments are incompetent and inconsiderate. The apartments appear to not have been updated since the 70’s, the maintenance requests that are put in are put off until as long as possible, laundry rooms are not kept up to date and often don’t work, the turnover rate in the office is astronomical, the pool is never open, the 2 maintenance men are over worked and it shows, There is no “basketball court” it’s just two poles and concrete, and water pressure is terrible due to old pipes (which are always busting). They left termites untreated and wrote an ugly email when we kept reminding them about the insects. Water is leaking into my apartment as I write this and I have been begging them to fix it for two days and nothing has been done. Don’t waste your time to even think about these apartments!!! Wouldn’t recommend to my worst enemy. Update: they’ve now turned the water off over 4 times this MONTH without giving us notice! When we had this water leak issue they said they couldn’t turn the water off without notice, yet they seem to turn it off once a week at least without notice. Also this water leak left stains in the carpet and a disgusting water stain on the ceiling, with no plans of fixing it until we move out! Seriously these apartments ARE NOT WORTH IT.

Been here about 5 years, office staff amazing maintenance staff responds quickly. Very friendly and safe area. Perfect location for people with pets. Ive enjoyed my stay here and look forward to many more years.

Run! Since the management has been here everything has gone down hill. We pay for amenities that dont even work or exist anymore.

I have been here for 3 years now and I love it here! My apt is updated and super nice. Any problems I have had, they have resolved them immediately. Plus the ladies in the office are super nice and helpful.

I’ve lived here for a little over a year now and I never want to move! This isn’t just any old apartment complex. The office ladies and maintenance really go above and beyond and make you feel like family. There’s multiple community events going on, issues are fixed same day, and they really look out for you as if you’re family!

We havent been here too long yet but definitely a good place to live. The price is a little scary but its worth it because of all the benefits. Shout out to the awesome office staff and my bros on the maintenance crew!

The customer service is excellent! Always a friendly welcome and quick to fix issues (not that there has been many). The only improvement I can see is that they may need to improve on the dishwashers installed into each apartment. Overall, I have thoroughly enjoyed my stay at College Hills West!

I have lived at these apartments for 8 years and was happy until the new owners bought the place and then raised my rent from 805.00 to 955.00 for a twelve month lease. This used to be a good place to live but College Hills West does not have the integrity one would expect from apartment staff and owners. I would not recommend this place to anyone. It is also a shame that the rate increased during a pandemic when I was laid off from my job

I posted the below review after living at College Hills for almost a year. Shortly after, they changed management. Now they have shorter hours and are difficult to get a hold of. We called and went in person for a work order and it was still a battle to get it done. We’re so disappointed with this change.College Hills West Apartments has been a phenomenal place for me, my roommate, my cat, and her large dog. We went to so many apartment complexes only to be told that her dog was too big! College Hills West welcomed us with open arms from the very first meeting, and we could not be more grateful for this amazing community!

Been here 6 months now and couldn’t be happier, perfect spot close to everything raised a concern and it was fixed same day. They just re did the parking lots and it looks amazing. Wish there was more lighting in the living room area but I’m not in there often enough to care. They are beyond pet and resident friendly!! Likely the nicest people I’ve met in texas!! The only issue I have is the dishwasher doesn’t clean the dishes or dry them.

This is my first time ever living the apartment life and couldnt be more happy than choosing College Hills West. The office staff is wonderful and very helpful! Perfect location for shopping, restaurants and grocery stores. Family and pet friendly. Glad to be apart of this little community.

When we moved in our fridge was broken and they got us a new one right away which was awesome! Friendly staff, great location, and well maintained apartments compared to others weve looked in to. A little pricey but definitely a great place to live.

We love collegehills west apartments. I have recommended CHW to a few friends. Some highlights thst makes CHW Great..the atmosphere the Staff-Kayla, Tori, Ana, Phillip, Tyler, Dexter, Isabel, Doug. They are more like our second family. They make living here great,from the events they put on for CHW and the kids, lets not forget for all our furry animals also. When ever we need them they are always there. If we have a maintenance emergency the come quickly even after hours. My Neighbors are Great. I have lived in this community for a long time. Kayla, Phillip, and Isabel have seen my daughter grow, if it wasnt for them and the whole crew I might of moved already. I cant imagine this place without them. They have made CHW what it is today and we ❤it here for that reason

I LOVE the location, and have lived in this area for ten years. I took over the lease on this apartment for a friend in June of 2017. When the lease was up in September, the rent went up. The cheapest lease renewal was for 10 months, after ten months, I had to renew, the rent went up. My lease is up again in April, again, the rent has gone up. I dont understand why the rent keeps going up if nothing has changed in this apartment! Ive got the old ugly green 70s tile in my bathroom (which is about the same size as my closet! Both bathrooms are)Some genius decided to paint the bathtub and now its peeling and looks ghetto, as well as the out of date medicine cabinet above the sink which is rusted and peeling. My 6yr old nephew can probably wash dishes better than the dishwasher. There are CONSTANT plumbing issues and you receive a ten minute notice, if anything, that youll be without water till its resolved! Ive had times where maintenance just comes right on in without so much as a notice or phone call to work on something! I have to place a folded paper towel on the front door to secure it even when its locked cauz the insulation is terrible and you can hear every time someone enters or exists the building from the air pressure! There isnt even lighting in the living room! I had to buy a lamp, otherwise the dining area lights are all I had. The windows have terrible insulation and are growing mold from the condensation during the winter. Even tho all bills are included in the rent, they tell you that you cant have your AC set lower than 73°? They are good at responding to work orders. Dont get me started on the washers and dryers in the laundry rooms tho! If you can wash clothes at ya mommas like I sometimes do, thats probably best! Lol Parking really is a pain if you have more than one vehicle. I really like the property manager, Kayla tho! She is the sweetest person and tries her best to make sure youre happy, but if my rent keeps going up and my apartment stays the same, I might have to relocate 😕 They keep renovating the office, but what about the apartments!? 😒😒

Having all bills paid was convenient, but that is the only positive thing I can say about this complex. Our downstairs neighbors smoked so heavily that our clothes smelled like an ash tray. The maintenance staff came in all the time even if you asked for a moment (to get dressed). When we moved out, after being told the carpet hadnt been replaced for seven years, we were forced to pay over $800 to replace it. The office staff was really nice until we moved out, and then they had us pay for any and everything the complex couldnt afford. The appliances were from the early 2000s. The parking lot was full of potholes and loose gravel.

My wife and I have been living in College Hills West Apts for nearly three years, and were finally getting ready to move out. The parking lot is still littered with potholes, and the grounds are covered in trash blown from everywhere (not to mention all of the dog poop everywhere). The maintenance staff is nice and does what they can to help fix things, but the complex might be a sinking ship at this time. It would need some serious capital invested into it to update a few things before I would recommend this place to somebody.

Most of the apartments are newly renovated, they mainly just painted over everything including the cabinets. Ive had no problems with bugs or anything, and the apartments are clean. I was told by the staff that they were built in the 1970s.Since cable is free, all you have to do is go to the Suddenlink office in town and tell them your apartment number and they will add internet for a small discounted rate since its your 2nd service with them, super easy, just go to the Suddenlink office, it took 15 minutes, they will hook you up, I was impressed. College Hills West gave me contact information to a sales representative via phone, and it made everything ridiculously complicated as I had to accept phone calls from several different offices that dont communicate with each other very well. I knew I wanted their 50Mbps lowest package, but I was told that it wouldnt be able to handle Youtube, Netflix, or even Xbox Live. Knowing better, I went to the Suddenlink office where I had no problems.The Suddenlink office even gave me a free cable splitter and cables and told me how to set it up as I already had my own modem and router.I was also told that online payments would be free, however you will pay a hefty $20+ fee if you are going to use a credit card. The only free option is if you provide your bank account information. I again felt like I was a bit deceived. This might or might not be an issue for you.The covered parking spaces are hard to get into depending on where you live.Other than that, they were very customer service oriented and were able to give me a lot of information about the surrounding area. Im glad I moved here for the time being. I will be paying attention to what the other reviewers posted as well as the end of my lease draws near.
