My background has a couple years of Karate and Kung Fu. When I moved to SLC, I was shopping around, trying to find a place that matched my ideals for a martial arts studio (fitness, mutual respect amongst students, motivation, and practical wisdom). I was underwhelmed after trying kickboxing and jujitsu. But, Sensei Faber (and mrs. Sensei) run the kind of school where you are going to mature and likely make good friends. I enrolled January 1st 2020 and have enjoyed it so much my 9 year old is coming now as well. We both leave our classes sweaty, challenged, and happy 3 times a week!

Mr. Faber is the best teacher. If you want to learn martial arts, if you want to be stronger, fitter, and more confident. This is the man to learn from!

We are so grateful to have this amazing studio in our neighborhood! Sensei Faber has a talent for working with the four-five year old age group. He is patient but strict and the kids definitely respond to it. My son is progressing with each class and the positive results outside of the studio are noticeable. I highly recommend United Studios of Self Defense in SLC.

One step in this studio and immediately you know this place demands respect. Aaron Fabers masterful woodwork and design of this studio creates a sense awe thats exciting. What a great grand opening!

Love This Place! Sensei Faber is amazing. Ive been going for a couple years, lost tons of weight. You get what you pay for... and its one of the best decisions Ive ever made Going to United Studios completely changed my life, in a good way. It really effects everything in your life, training in Martial Arts is like a full body meditation. Ive tried several places, but United Studios is hands down the best.. Plus its the only Studio in America certified to teach Kung Fu from the Shaolin Temple in China. I could go on and on, but lets just say. I would rate Sensei Fabers Dojo, with ☆☆☆☆☆☆(6 stars) if I could. Changed my life, hopefully itll change yours too :-D

This place is amazing

I first tried USSD 18 years ago(the free lesson)and I had a life changing experience, I knew I wanted to take lessons here. Im an adult now and well I was finally able to do it, walked into a different dojo than before, but tada! Same Sensei. Sensei Faber inspired me 18 years ago, tried other places,(community centers, tae kwon do, etc.) nothing compared to Sensei Faber... I was 12 years old for that first lesson. It my dream as a child to take lessons here and sometimes dreams do come true... Now after all this time I returned, since I started, Ive lost 100 lbs and weigh less than I did when I was 15.. Dare I say, I feel better than I did then too.. All around amazing.

My daughter and I have been involved with USSD and Sensei Faber for over 5 years. My daughter had tremendous benefits from being part of karate. I too have had positive results. He is not only the best Sensei around, but he is one of the best people I have ever met! He is honest, genuine, funny, and very talented! He truly cares about you and your fitness and self defense journey! I am so glad to be part of the USSD family again...especially part of Sensei Fabers life and journey as well! So lucky to be part of it. Go for it...you wont regret it!

I am extremely excited for the Grand Opening of the Salt Lake City USSD dojo. The building has been extensively renovated to provide the best martial arts training area available. More over, Mr. Aaron Faber will be the Chief Instructor at this location. My conviction and dedication to USSD & Mr. Faber’s teachings have not only provided the martial arts that I’m seeking but given me a sense of companionship and positive reinforcement as USSD works hard to provide a family friendly and open space for self improvement without judgment in all of their locations. I am not just another client with USSD, I am a life long member and that relationship has been earned by years of teaching from dozens of high ranking instructors and countless functions that USSD provides. While the closest USSD location is fantastic, I purposely drive the extra miles to train with (in my humble opinion) one of the best martial artists and instructors that I have met. Thank you Mr. Faber for all your instruction.
