I have loved this place for years, but they closed on March 31st of this year (2021). The family has retired.
$1.75 top load washer.25 per 8 minute dryNot sure how long they have had wifi, but they have wifi now, and it works well so I can watch Netflix or live stream a football game while Im waiting on the laundry and folding my clothes. Its in a safe feeling area, and Ive never felt uncomfortable doing my laundry here or had any worries about leaving it for a while. People generally leave you alone. I love the old quarter arcade games that they have, Ive wasted far too many quarters setting the high scores on all the games. Pretty sure Im the only person that ever actually plays them. Some of the machines work better than others, same with dryers. I think thats true of any old laundromat you find. After a few visits you learn which ones to use and which ones to skip. Theyre good about marking if theyre out of order though. I mentioned when the dryer wasnt working correctly once, and it was fixed by the next week when I came in.They have detergent and dryer sheets available in the vending machine but not bleach which is an issue Ive heard some people complain about. Not sure about the washing service or dry cleaning as I havent used that ever.Another upside is that there is plenty of parking in their parking lot or on the street next to the building. Its never an issue so Im not lugging my laundry basket back and forth up the street. The biggest downside for me is the hours only being until 11pm. Sometimes I end up going down the street to Sugarhouse Laundry since theyre open until midnight.
Great place. Reasonable prices. Eems secure. Lota of washer and dryer options. Generally there is an attendant onsite which helps us feel more safe and secure.
This is my favorite laundromat to go to. It is spacious, has a lot of machines, it is a great price, machines are clearly labeled (out of order, no blankets, price, etc.), and it is alwayd clean. I personally havent used the wifi but free wifi is available. It is in a great location between downtown salt lake city and the heart of sugarhouse.
Excellent little coin op that hosts my friends non profit every Wednesday and Saturday with plenty of machines to spare.
Really not sure why this place had such great reviews. The layout isn’t the most functional (especially if you are parked in the back and have to climb up and down stairs) the place is old, dryers took a while to dry, and there was no AC. I went a few days ago when the weather was in the upper 90s- 100s and it was so hot that people were sitting outside in the shade around 4pm. The only plus is that they are pretty cheap.
I’ve been bringing my pants here for alterations for years. While the prices have increased a little bit over time, it’s still the best option that I’ve found. And they’re really friendly people that I like supporting.
First time here, really clean and the machines worked great! Brought in my very big and heavy queen sized denim quilt. Fit perfectly into the blanket sized washer and dried in 1 hr (took it our every 24 mins to rotate so it dried evenly). Place is quiet and wasnt too crowded around 3 pm. Took about $12.25 to clean and dry my quilt, which was fantastic! Ill be back for sure!
Great lil place to do your laundry, friendly husband and wife owned. There laundry service is excellent if your in a pinch and don’t feel like doing it lol 😂 need hours of operation posted online.
I dont live super close to here anymore, but will still make the drive. Reasonable prices, clean, smells good, and just overall like the feeling of this place. Also good hours so that I can do late night loads of laundry.
I work as a massage therapist and have my sheets professionally cleaned at the Sunshine Center. I make 2-3 visits a month. My sheets are always really clean, folded perfectly (even the fitted sheets) and the service is incredible! Fast, efficient, and I am still in awe that they help me take my clean sheets to my car if I need/want. I really appreciate this place! 5 stars all the way.
Staff is super friendly and the washers are high powered. My things get super clean.
This is a good, locally owned laundromat. The machines are pretty reliable and you can do your own laundry for a good price. There is also free WiFi, vending machines, magazines and a coin-operated massage chair to use at your leisure. The environment is comfortable and the place is patronized by respectable people.
Absolutely love it here! Super cheap and clean! The woman I see that works here is always so nice and is always cleaning and making sure everyone has a nice environment. Using the big washer and dryer its only an hour to do all my laundry and I love it! Its in a nice neighborhood as well, I really recommend coming here, its not usually busy and theres nice shady parking as well in the mornings
This is the cleanest smelling and most well-kept laundromat I have ever visited. I was shocked and impressed to see the owner on his hands and knees scrubbing stains from the carpet while I did my laundry. The top-load washing machines only take around twenty minutes to wash your clothes, and the clothes come out very clean (no weird smell as is the case with some other laundromats). Best value in town at only $1.50 per wash. Highly recommended for anyone in need of a laundromat in Sugarhouse or SLC.
Absolutely HIDEOUS!!! Floor is torn all to hell, lumber laying around and wheeled carts very scarce. Also EXTREMELY cold in there. Asked owner to turn the heat up and he pretended not to speak english! So I said it in spanish and he said; IN ENGLISH; its fine.
This is the best laundromat. I drive out of my way, passing 3 other laundromats to come here each week. The place is always clean. It has an on site attendant and the machines work well. Plus, it has a few jumbo washers that do a byways job on comforters and other large items.
Pleasant place to do laundry. The couple who run the place are so kind, and dont mind having kids run around the place. Very kid friendly!
Well i do like this place is now my #1 to go to to wash my clothes. It is clean. Washers are in working order. Some dryers dont work. It get busy around noon so i try to avoid that time. The washers and dryers are cheap. The owners which i think they are since they are are nice and friendly.
Cozy and their machines actually work good unlike most other places.
Always clean. Large assortment of machines
This is a laundromat where everything works. Its clean and laundromat like. A real person was there to break my 20 for the change machine. Some driers work better than others. Good luck!
Old building, but I was very happy with this laundromat. There are a lot of machines, and you can tell that things are well cared for. I would definitely use it again.
The washers and dryers work very well and the price is very reasonable. Its $1.75 for a top load washer and $0.25 per 8 minutes of drying. The staff is very friendly and the place is kept clean and in good order.
I really needed to find a drop service laundry that would wash and fold at a reasonable price. This place was convenient, fast (even same day service) and the price was a little over one dollar a pound. Wow. Look how well they folded and put away for me. Thank you
Even when its busy, theres plenty of machines open. Owners/staff are very nice and helpful.
Much bigger on the inside than it looks from the outside. A few dryers out of order, but you get 8 mins for a quarter. Feels kind of homey, could be really cool if they would slap a fresh coat of paint on everything and replace the carpet (yes carpet) which is worn out and stained, with some tile or concrete.
I actually love this place. Good prices on washers and dryers, clean, attendants are friendly and helpful, no one ever bugs me here and its usually pretty empty when I do go. Im glad I found this place.
Clean. Hard working owners on hand to help you.
My regular laundry spot. Has all the types of washers, dryers, necessary accessories, and even some extra laundering services.
Awesome place, Firstly its rather clean and welcoming! Secondly the owners / operators are friendly and helpful, they work hard and it shows!
Clean with warm and welcoming staff
This is a nice little mom and pops place...very clean and has dry cleaning. Prices are reasonable and machines really work well...
I go out of my way to do laundry at Sunshine. Its always clean, loads are $1.75, dryers work consistently, theres free WiFi and places to sit while waiting for the machines to wrap up.
Convenient location!
Solid laundromat - pretty clean, they can exchange card for cash and cash for coins, prices are reasonable, friendly staff, and the machines work well.
Better than Sugarhouse Laundry. Bigger, more machines, provided reading material, a decent parking lot, and nowhere near as busy!!
Best laundry mat. Dryer 20 is sooo friggin hot!
This laundromat is nice and simple. It has a very home like feel to it. Ive enjoyed coming here for years now. Its very quiet and I never have to wait for a machine. The prices here are lower than other places Ive been to.They recently put in Wifi which is great when im waiting for my clothes to wash and they also have a TV. Overall, this place is clean and gets the job done and I feel very safe compared to other places. Also, they do a great job with the drycleaning and their drop laundry service is pretty nice when I do have to use it.Cons:There is no attendant in the evenings, the office closes at 6pm, so if you run into any problems you would have to wait until the next day to talk with a worker.
Tons of equipment and good facilities and friendly staff
The place is clean and easy to use
Always clean and the owners are almost always on site and friendly.
They have great prices, lots of machines and free wi-fi. It is cleaned constantly by the attendants so I dont know what the other reviewer is talking about.
Quick and cheap
Clean, quite, and nice place.
Got the job done
ILuv This Place 😘
Great place
Fast machines
