Alyssa did my wax. She is very quick and easy to talk to. My experience was far better than what I expected. I thought my bikini (tight) would be very painful, but she was so quick I just felt a little pinch. I was not uncomfortable at all. She made the vibe super chill and not weird at all. I would definitely recommend Alyssa for your personal bikini / Brazilian appointment. She’s awesome and fevers professional!!

I would give it 6 stars if I could. Shannon did my first wax in about 6 years so I felt brand new. I was so nervous! She made it so easy, casual, professional and quick. Getting a Brazilian is never that comfortable but they make the absolute best out of it! Seriously I’d recommend this place to anyone. They are also mindful of pronouns and gender preferences which I loved! They are very informative and give you after care instructions without pushing “product” on you. The prices are also beyond reasonable.

The people that work here are very sweet and nice. The facility was super clean and everything was well explained. I had Rani and she was great! Personally for me waxing hurt a lot but Rani told me what spots to breath and offered me breaks which was really thoughtful and sweet. Overall good experience despite the pain of waxing 🤣

Previously had given this place 5 stars. After my recent visit and contracting Staphylococcus I will never go back. Management was difficult to work with and not empathetic. Go somewhere else where the name sounds a bit more professional. You’ll likely be better off in the long run.

Theyre pretty hit or miss. Some of their waxologists are super friendly and chatty and good at what they do, others are pretty meh. Ive had some good ones and Ive had some not so good ones. My most recent one on 8/9/21 was unfortunately a not so good one. The lady didnt try to make conversation at all and seemed like she was in a rush to get done. She missed several spots and left a lot of wax on my legs that I am now trying to get off at home. Itll probably be a while before I go back because of this. I was going to rate lower because of this experience alone, but the good experiences I had made me give it a 2 star instead

I’ve been to other Lunchbox locations, but this was my first time here since I just moved to the area. I got a Brazilian and was waxed by Maddie. There are some reviews here that mention how rushed Maddie is. I can wholeheartedly agree - as soon as I walked in, she rushed me into a room and told me to get ready. During the wax, it felt like she was rushing the entire time - wax even dripped on my leg, she was knocking stuff off the table because she was working in such a hurry, and she did not care to make me feel comfortable. I tried to make friendly conversation but Maddie did not entertain that at all. The whole time she was ripping so quickly and it was the most painful wax I’ve ever had - and I’ve been consistently waxing for a while now! I kept thinking to myself, “why are you trying to get me out of here so fast?”When she was done with wax, she didn’t bother moisturizing or giving me any after-care instructions - she just told me she’ll meet me outside. I was in and out in less than 10 minutes. As soon as I got outside, she immediately asked if she could charge my card on file and that was it. No thank you for coming in, no additional questions or comments.I never leave any negative reviews and maybe she was having a bad day. Regardless, I have never felt so rushed and uncomfortable at a Lunchbox wax. I’m not sure if I’ll ever return to this location given this unpleasant and disappointing experience.

Ive always done my own brows and finally after several years of doing my own brows I realized it was time to see a professional. My first visit was amazing and the gal who did my brows is a gem! She made them look better in 30 minutes than I have in years!A super clean, very calming environment. Cannot reccomend this place enough!

Scheduled for a Brazilian with Karlie. She was so sweet and welcoming, and the whole process was extremely quick. The waxing process is really quick and comfortable and much better than other reputable salons. The results at lunchbox were much nicer than previous Brazilians I’ve received from other places. Between skill level, waxing technique and type of wax, I was much happier with my results from lunchbox and I’m excited to keep going back!

I had a Brazilian wax and was a tad nervous going in, she calmed me down and made me feel comfortable instantly! I was in and out with minimal pain and time spent at the studio. The studio was clean and I felt extremely welcome. If you go here, ask for Raini! You won’t regret it!

When a business tags themself as LGBTQ+ friendly, it’s normally a mixed bag. But LunchboxWax absolutely deserves the tag!From when you walk in the door for the first time to when you’re in the room, simple things (like asking for pronouns on the first visit info sheet) makes intimidating experiences comfortable!Definitely recommend their waxing to any queer/gender-nonconforming people in the general Sugarhouse area.

My experience at Lunchbox was unprofessional and frustrating. I’d read good reviews on Yelp and Google. My regular esthetician left the spa I usually go to, so I was looking for a new place to get my legs waxed before a beach vacation.The main issues with the service I received at Lunchbox:- My esthetician kept calling me “Babe” and never confirmed my name or introduced herself. I had to ask her to confirm her name once I was on the table with my pants off.-On the new client paperwork there was a question regarding Accutane, “Have you taken Accutane in the last year?” I checked the “Yes” box. In the room the esthetician asked me how long it had been since I’d taken the medication. I said “at least 6 months”. She then told me that she couldn’t complete the service because it was illegal for her to wax some one who hadn’t been off Accutane for at least a year. (That is not true) I was completely surprised. I told her I had been getting waxed for a while now without issue. (I waited several months after stopping the medication before doing any waxing). I had to convince her to continue with the session.- After rubbing some mystery oil on my leg, she then proceeded to tell me that “there’s another problem, Babe” the hair on my legs wasn’t long enough to wax. Which also surprised me because it had been 4 weeks since my last wax and I could see and feel a good amount of hair on my legs. The hair on my calves and thighs was definitely long enough. Again she relented and said that she’d wax the parts that looked long enough. This ended up being part of my inner thy and behind my knees. I have blonde/light brown hair. She wasn’t using a magnifying light to look at my legs, just the fluorescent light in the room. So of course she couldn’t see all of it.- Although the esthetician was apologetic that she couldn’t wax my full legs and only charged me for what she “could” wax, I was incredibly disappointed and shocked. I told her so when she range me up. She offered a free wax next time, if I scheduled now. I politely declined.- The whole experience was bewildering and somewhat traumatic. The appointment started off without any introductions or kindness and contained a lot of excuses and a lack of skill and knowledge.I won’t be going back to Lunchbox.
