Great service from start to finish-as usual. Landis salon is always spotless. The staff is friendly and inviting. I had my haircut and Maggie gave me a scalp and shoulder massage with a hot towel treatment. It was incredibly relaxing and exactly what I needed. Top notch service and beautiful haircut!

Im really happy with my haircut! We moved here from out of state 4 years ago and finding a new hair stylist is the hardest part about starting over in a new place Harley took extra time to listen and clarify what I was wanting and it turned out great! I finally feel like me again. :)

I havent had my hair cut in 5 years and decided to go to Landis to have it done before a friends wedding. I got booked with Seth and he did a fantastic job. Had a great conversation and felt super pampered. My hair looks excellent! I would definitely recommend this place to anybody.

My sons have long, curly hair and they HATE having their hair cut. But both of them have gone to Jade at Landis and had excellent experiences! They look great and will go back for sure.

I frequently come to the salon and usually don’t have anything negative to say. I decided to go to a different stylists this past time and was massively over charged for services. I have a very simple hair cut which I was billed $65 for (totally fine), but on top of that the stylist charged me $53 for a blow dry and curl, which every time in the past was part of the cut. She did do a good job with my dye and cut, just charged me an arm and a leg for it.

I scheduled my haircut with Tea. She was so friendly and upbeat. I love that her service started with a scalp and shoulder massage with an essential oil of my choice. She listened to my request for my haircut, and she made sure she understood what I was going for. I left the salon feeling pampered and relaxed, as a hair appointment should be. Tea did a wonderful job and I will be returning to Landis again for my next trim :)

I visited Landis in Sugarhouse for the first time and was so impressed by Jade. She was so professional, kind and talented. She did such a wonderful job. I couldn’t be happier with my color and cut. I will definitely be back! The shampoo chairs were also a huge bonus!

Ive been to Landis twice and have had wonderful experiences both times. Maggie has amazing attention to detail, takes the time to do it right, and makes sure that you love your look. I highly recommend her and Landis in general. The salon is well-decorated and clean and they pay a lot of attention to customer service.

This was my first time in and I was thrilled with Sabra. She did a great job with my hair and was willing to go slightly outside her comfort zone to do something I wanted. Coffee was decent but it would have been nice if they had unsweetened creamer. Minor thing though, overall, a very good experience.

I waited in line for a very long time. The desk staff were extremely rude and unprofessional. There were dirty boxes all over the. floor. I have used the Aveda Landis salon for 10+ years and today was definitely my last time. Your business has really gone downhill. Don’t waste your time and money on this awful salon.

Jenni is talented and friendly, and my hair looks great! The high ceilings and fans are great at a time when were mindful of ventilation in indoor spaces. Products are always on offer, but it didnt feel pushy. Ill definitely be back.

I have very fine, thin, straight hair. Thomas always knows how to cut it perfect to give it volume and style. He also gives wonderful head massages, is calm, patient and doesn’t talk too much, but just enough. My experience is always relaxing and refreshing and I always look forward to my next visit. I also like the ambience of the salon and the friendly staff.

The best salon. A relaxing spa experience every time and I always leave sniffing my hair for the rest of the day. With their various training levels you can get a nice price range option for services but everyone I’ve been to in the past 8 years I’ve been going here has been great. While living in other cities I’ve tried out a handful of different Aveda associated salons and none do it as well as Landis. Love!

Joe was terrific. He understood my hair needs, style wish, and added his expertise. He was very careful on cleaning and mask needs. I was anxious heading back to a salon after one year. Joe and Landis made it easy. And I left with a renewed hair style! And it was great to be back at Landis - a place that makes you feel welcomed.

Yikes. Brought my 12 year old for her first professional haircut and it was beyond disappointing. The space is lovely and the person who checked us in was very friendly, but our stylist Shea was not good. She was very unfriendly and unhappy. No chatting, pleasantries, or even any small talk with my daughter (or myself, but that wanst needed. My daguhter was excited to have some hairstylist banter). So sad for a first experience. Shea didnt understand what we wanted and it took an unnecessarily long time to convey the most basic aspects of the cut (e.g style and length of bangs, type of layers). It wasnt even straight or even across the bottom! I could tell the back and sides werent what my daughter wanted but I didnt want to attempt to explain it again. (I cut it again myself when we got home to fix the uneven bottom and correct the layers). Then we had to wait a really long time to check out because the front desk was on a phone call scheduling. It would have just taken a moment for the front desk to put them on hold so I could run card for the tip. Instead my sad disappointed daughter and I stood there waiting. I wont give up on Landis, but definitely will not return to Shea. (I plan to remove this review once Landis sees it - I think it is important for them to know, but I dont want to create any hard feelings).

Got my hair colored by Joe Ramirez last week and he did a fabulous job! I recently moved to SLC and hadn’t gotten my hair done yet, so I took the gamble and he absolutely killed it. Not to mention, he was a lovely companion to talk to during my appointment. Will definitely be back!

Mckenzie is fabulous! I have a pixie cut and it can be challenging to find a stylist that can avoid certain awkward styling phases in between appointments. From the first appointment Mckenzie demonstrated an understanding of how my hair would grow back and how it could affect the look we wanted to create, and maintain. So nice not to have a week or two where I want to wear a hat to hide cowlicks!

I just saw Jenni, a new artist, who provided me with the best stress-relief head and shoulder massage with Eucalyptus essential oil, prior to washing my hair, massaging my scalp again, and then providing me with an adorable haircut. She was only $32, because she is not in the grand studio yet. An incredible experience. Go see her!

Aubree was AMAZING!! I have never had my hair professionally dyed before so I was a bit nervous and really new to everything. She explained the process, products, and listened to exactly the way I wanted my hair done. Usually I have great experiences, but this last time I went my hair was still wet when I left. Felt like the stylist was just trying to get me out of there after the wash. The cutting also took quite some time as it felt like the hair would be in straight, they’d go back to level it out, then correct it again - ultimately making my hair shorter than expected. Again usually I have the best experiences but unless your confident in the stylist you go to, it’s very hit or miss.

After I realized I was in the old bakery I used to visit on vacations to my grandparents, I went and had about 8-10 inches of hair cut off and styled. The sweet gal that did my hair was so patient with me as we looked at different styles because I couldnt remember the word Bob. it turned out wonderful and my daughter said i looked 15 years younger! Thank you so much Chayes (?).

Review for Joe: Male 32 curly hairIm certainly not the normal clientele as I havent had a professional cut in a decade but with my hair growing out longer I decided to give it a try. Based on some reviews I read about Joe I figured he would be a good fit for me. I went in with a picture of what I wanted and he helped me understand what would work best with my hair. He was fun, professional and very conscious about making me feel comfortable especially in regards to cleanliness and covid. I have curly hair and havent really known what to do with it so he showed me how to style it and a few products I could use. As someone who has been to cheap to go to a salon Joe definitely demonstrated the value he offered and made me feel like it was worth every penny. I will be back, thanks Joe.

Totally love this salon! The gals are really well trained and always have great suggestions for hair styles. I also like the fact how knowledgeable they are about product. Only drawback is the cost of hair cuts, etc. and that the Stylists dont get paid enough. With style cut, tips, and product, one can rarely get out for less than $150 per appt. making for less visits. But totally love the Salon!

First time going there, didn’t really feel that welcomed. There was loud construction going on and stylist seemed like she styled my hair in a hurry because another client had showed up and was waiting for their turn. Did not like that my hair was rushed.

I had an amazing experience! The scheduling staff set me up with a great stylist who specialized in what I was looking for. The stylist really listened to my requests. I was really impressed with her skill. I loved the products she used throughout the service. She massaged my head and shoulders during the wash. I truly felt pampered.

I moved to Park City last year and have had 4 disaster hair appointments at various salons trying to find someone who can properly balayage/highlight hair. Someone referred me to Shawn for a color correction and I finally found my new hair person here in Utah. He did exactly what I wanted, was so nice and honest and his focus was making sure I left happy after all the money I had wasted with other salons trying to fix the damage they left. If you’re looking for someone who knows how to properly color hair or color correct go to him and he’ll get the job done! Thank you, Shawn. Feels good to look like me again!

I think something is wrong with your online booking system. I scheduled an appointment online, received email confirmation before the appointment, drove to the appointment only to be turned away because I was not scheduled for that day. Now I have received an email asking me how my visit was….?Word of caution to others out there- it is best to call the salon directly as the online booking tool seems very glitchy

Not only was I pleased with the quality of my haircut and the professionalism and friendliness of my stylist, Jade, but with everyone I encountered at the salon. From Joy, who answered my call and met me at the door for secure, safe entry, to the lovely ladies at the desk who checked me out in a prompt, courteous manner. Everyone is extremely friendly, and I truly appreciate all the efforts the salon has taken to keep their guests and staff safe. Lovely salon, and I will definitely continue visiting!

I lived in salt lake for just 2 months and had to find a new place I trusted to get my hair cut. I have medium-long men’s hair. Marcelle at Landis is INCREDIBLE. I could not have LOVED both haircuts I got from her more. Landis is a class act. Get your hair done here.

I went in to get my hair cut and colored because I’m getting engagement photos taken in a couple weeks, and I did not get what I asked for at all. The stylist was very kind, but I wanted ombré/balayage hair and it turned out stripey and the blonde starts way too high and the layers she put in my hair are very choppy. I started crying as soon as I left. My stylist was very nice, as were other employees I interacted with there, which is the only reason they are getting more than one star. Now I’m going to be scrambling to find someone who can make my hair look somewhat like I want it to before my photo session. For almost $200 you’d expect a lot better quality.EDIT: I was able to book an appointment for a week later with a different stylist to address my concerns. McKenzie was absolutely wonderful!! She made my hair look extremely close to how I wanted it the first time, and was so kind through the entire process. Landis Salon exceeded my expectations in handling the situation, and I will definitely be returning the next time I need to get my hair done.

I get my hair done by Joe and he is the BEST. i’ve gotten perms, dye, cut, styling, even dyed my eyebrows with him and he is amazing at it all. he’s super educated, knows what he’s doing and he is also a super cool guy and easy to talk to! as long as i’m in slc I will always come back to him. 1000% recommend!
