This place is awesome!! Walked in and got right in. Got exactly what I was looking for. Rachel was fantastic, she told me exactly what her plan was before starting so no surprises. She took the time to make sure I was happy and made me feel like her priority! This was my first time but definitely not my last time going here!

I can’t stress this enough how amazing the service and environment is from start to finish. Literally te wait is worth every minute of your time. First time coming to this shop, and I ended up getting a haircut from such an awesome person.I highly recommend you seek out Emerald! When you come in or call ahead. She’s super fun, to talk to and has such good sprint. Literally showed her a picture of what I was thinking and she worked her magic and boom.If the hair wash was amazing and so worth it. Comes with a hot face towel and on the house for first timers.Again her name is EMERALD!!!! She’s awesome definitely will be coming here moving forward. The prices are amazing also just abs FYI.

Alright so Im a fan of Jeds in Sugarhouse my two go-tos for sure are Rachel and Claudia but I can say every stylist here can give you what you ask for. Rachel, l though gets me on the Massages. When it comes to haircutting Im dead serious about it, I used to drive or fly out of state for a good quality haircut. Now I just ask for Rachel and she gets it done right, she a perfectionist, and she will fix mistakes from other stylists not at Jeds and forgive you for stepping out on her, sometimes.I dont wait long as I call ahead and I like that option. Ive use places that you reserve ahead but they never have openings. Prices are great for what I get and the service is always great.

They have been understaffed lately with over 1 hour wait times, which is not so worth the wait. Though they do have very nice service, free arcades, complementary bottled soda, with a free hair wash and choice of oil massage on the first visit. The haircut quality if pretty hit or miss.

It doesn’t take a lot to impress me but let me tell you about puck. That man is THE GANDALF OF BARBERS. I’ve been to MANY barbershops and hair salons and no one compares to him. I’ve had haircuts to the point that I lost faith in barbers until I started going to puck. He is THE ONLY barber that cuts my hair to exactly how I want it EVERYTIME!! His charisma and attitude towards life really tops it off. Never a dull moment and our conversations are superb. We literally talk about anything and everything. It’s always a pleasure to come in and get a very quality cut from him. I would pay top dollar for him to cut my hair for the rest of my life. Unfortunately I will be moving Out of state but if I’m ever in town he is the first place I’ll go too. After a haircut he will have you feeling, as the famous OutKast once said “So fresh, so clean”.

Claudia gave me the best haircut I’ve had in a long time. Love the atmosphere of Jed’s too! All of the employees are friendly and inviting.

This is the Jed’s you want to visit. I have yet to wait longer than ten minutes, have had an excellent haircut every time, and the entertainment while you wait makes for a fun way to pass the time. Jed’s is the only barbershop I’ve found that went out of its way to give a military discount to me, and that meant a lot.I recommend Courtney — she gives me a great cut every week.

Had my hair trimmed and beard shaped. Customer service was fantastic. Staff was very personable and listened to what I wanted to do. They did their absolute best to make sure that everything was clean and sanitized. Would recommend Jeds to anyone and everyone. If I could rate them a 10 I would.

This palce is mostly fluff. They have free arcade games, drinks, shoulder massages, and facials. However, all of these amenities are to distract from the lackluster hair cuts. I asked for a trim to the middle of my neck, instead I was given a bowl cut to the top of my neck. Pretty disapointing for 28$.If youre looking for a basic cut im sure this palce is great, but anything more and youll likely be disapointed.

Awesome place for a haircut or straight-razor shave. I always leave with exactly the cut I wanted and my beard is perfectly shaped. The customer service is top notch and the barbers are highly competent professionals. They provide free soda and arcade games while you wait. They do not do appointments.

My boyfriend loves this place. Every time we go, the people are so nice and professional and have him in and out without any fuss. When we have a pamper me day for us both, he always wants to go here, to get the hot towel shave and for his hair cut. Plus its always nice to wait for him, because they offer free soda drinks in the lobby!

I followed my barber here or I would never have known about Jeds. It would be 5 stars if they had two things, 1) appointments ⌛ 2) senior discount. 🙃 My preferred barber is Jerrica, because she has been doing my hair for a few years now. I dont know how the others are. The soda that you get for free with your haircut is delicious, so be sure to have one.

Recommended by a neighbor, I decided to see Puck at Jeds. April answered and was immediately amazingly friendly and helpful. Made an appointment and headed on down. I was welcomed from the moment I arrived and was quickly ushered to my seat by Puck. I vaguely described what I thought my hair should look like and 15 mins later...magic. First time here. Interesting aesthetic. Everyone was very helpful. Soda (that comes with a cut) was cold and tasty. Free shampoo on the first visit. Had a beard trim and a head shave. Very pleasant, with decent music. Will return. Price was worth the result and the experience.

I went in hoping to get a good cut and a beard trim. Its the first time Ive grown a beard and havent really done much with it. Rachael was able to get my haircut perfect and trimmed up my beard nice. I came out looking even more handsome than when I walked in. I look forward to returning for all of my future trims.

Free Special Soda. Puck took very good care of me. He took my instructions and noted the curl in my hair. He explained what he did to meet my requests. I feel I can express this to the next stylist. I suggest you call before you leave home (15 min) so that you wait less once you get there. The vibrating shoulder massage was a great way to end the cut.

This place is really awesome. And here is why:While you wait to get a hair cut you can play some pool. Or they have arcade games which is a surprise. 😱The decor is really great too. The wall paper are a bunch of random pictures of different things. It’s fun to see what the different ones actually are of. My barber pointed a few of the better ones out.They do have a free glass bottle soda they offer to you once you complete the haircut. So that was cool.If you haven’t yet checked them out then I would recommend it. 👊🏻

Great place for mens, womens & kids cuts. Great relaxed atmosphere. Unique waiting area. Being a woman Ive never had a hot shave here but Ive heard from multiple people Jeds does the best one in the valley. No high pressure on product sales. Took care of my fussy kid with no trouble.

I enjoy Jeds a lot! Great prices for great cuts, I had Lina today and she was really nice and I got a beard trim and a clean up on my neck. Very happy I came, I do echo the other reviews that the no scheduling is a little bit of a hassle but still very nice place. Wait was not long.

****SENSORY SENSITIVE CHILDREN******Im usually not one to do ratings for anything/anyone other than a simple star rating, however, my experience with Jeds and especially one of the stylists there has given me such an amazing experience. First time I went into this location I received a thorough and detailed haircut from Hannah Skoubye. I explained to her my sensitive skin and she addressed that and took her time. Her conversation was light and thoughtful. After this haircut I took my sensory sensitive nephew to Jeds and specifically asked for her, they detailed me her schedule and I brought him to Hannah Skoubye. I explained the situation to her, and she was able to keep my nephew occupied and focused while she addressed the sensory issues that came out every so often during, she went effortlessly through the haircut and it was such a timely haircut considering everything. I cant explain enough how amazing Hannah was during this process; she changed my expectations with all hairstylist throughout.

I’ve usually had good experiences with Jed’s, but today I ended up waiting a total of an hour and a half with only a couple of customers in front of me. I was told 1:00 at 12:00 but there was still somebody in front of me at 1:45. It sucks because i usually have good experiences here but I would just rather get told 1:45 than sit around for 45 minutes after waiting an hour to begin with. I ended up leaving because my haircut would have been done at 2:30-2:45, and if you get told 1:00 you don’t expect it to be done in 2 and a half hours. I understand that it can be difficult to schedule things with walk-ins only but I would much rather just get told 1:45 so i could call a different Jed’s and just drive there instead.

I’ve come to Jed’s for a while, and I usually like the walk in approach to a haircut. However, I do like to call ahead and make sure I’m not just sitting waiting forever for a haircut. The fact you have to come check in within 15 min of calling seems absurd, the point of calling in to be put on the list is so people don’t have to sit and wait for 30 min. On top of that, when I called in, I was told I had 2 in front of me, and a 29 min wait total. So by logic, 15 min later when I checked in I should have a 5 min wait or so. Nope, checked in and was told I still had 2 in front of me and another 20 min wait. It felt as if I just got put on the list when I walked in and my calling ahead did nothing. I waited for at least 30 min after I arrived for my haircut to be brought back still. If your going to offer the opportunity to call ahead, actually make the system work, because it clearly doesn’t right now. The barbers have always been really good, and I’ve enjoyed the cuts I’ve gotten. The front end just needs a lot of help.

As one guy who has beard and has had bad experiences with other people cutting my hair, I really love this place. Its got a great atmosphere which is friendly and fun and not intimidating like some places with cocky attitudes or anything like that. When I called I talked to Garrett, he was super nice and when I walked in he said immediately Hey! Are you Sean?, Kelsey is the one who did my beard and she did amazing. They really get it there and I appreciated the attitude and atmosphere a lot. Will definitely be going back here from now on.

Walkens welcome. Great service. Good atmosphere. Awesome people. Courtney, if I remember her name correctly, provided spectacular service. First timers also get a complementary hair wash if you let your barber know its your first time. Call 15 min ahead of time to avoid extended waiting periodsn- because they have talented, tasteful, respectful, and professional barbers.

Sadly they got rid of a lot of their decent barbers awhile back, and they just havent been as good since.

Ive been coming to this barber shop for awhile now. For my last visit, I was taken care of by Rachel. She was totally awesome. She gave me a great cut, was an awesome conversationalist, and actually put effort into the back massage at the end. Shes the first stylist Ive ever had at the shop that actually cared about that part. She did a great job.

Ive been to this location a handful of times and have always had a pretty successful haircut. The staff is talented and know what theyre doing. The waiting area is unique and cool but almost a little overdone like theyre trying to fit a niche. The staff are really nice and friendly and have great communication. The prices are steep at least compared to other places Ive been to in the area, however you really are paying for the quality of your haircut and the service. With a fair tip and a standard mens haircut Id say youre paying $25-30They should get a puppy to add to their waiting area thatd be dope

So far Ive been happy with my cuts. I dont know if Id consider it a true barbershop - some of the girls Ive talked to came straight over from super cuts. Some stylists use a straight edge razor for my line up (which I prefer), some dont, sometimes my fade is clean, sometimes it isnt - and you can definitely tell which ones are more comfortable with doing fades vs. others who take quite a long time and still miss some spots. Like I said I havent received an AWFUL cut, but definitely had a lot better at other barber shops - but I do like how this one is open later and is usually the only one I can get to with my schedule - staff has always been friendly too.

This is what I expect from a barber shop experience, both the atmosphere and the excellent haircut quality. I’ve had 3 haircuts by Carly and she does an awesome job. Highly recommend the place and I’ll go nowhere else now.

I used to love it, but they changed up a bunch of the way they do things. Its not very good anymore, it used to have a fun vibe but now its got more of a corporate vibe. And it says walk-ins welcome, but what they really mean is, only walk-ins are welcome. Its just too hard for me to not schedule it.

How is this place so well reviewed? I have paid $6 for a much better fade. Only been once so your experience may vary with different stylists/barbers, but she left a big chunk of hair in the back and its basically not even a fade, looks like she went straight from a number 2 to a number 4 and you can see the fade line. $21 dollar haircut... also, dont bother with the free shampoo, the sync gave me a neck ache for nearly 24 hours. How is this place so well reviewed?! Maybe dont spend so much on arcade machines and pool tables, instead invest in a pad for the shampoo sinks and hire better stylists. Id give it 0 stars if it were an option.

I am never going anywhere else for a haircut again in my life. The ambiance is spectacular. They have free arcade games and a (pay to play) pool table in their waiting area, and every time you go, you get a free frosty soda. I never felt like my haircut was being rushed. McEllie made sure I was comfortable and she took her time to make sure my haircut was perfect, and it was!

Jed, your decision to force Walkens show up in 15 minutes has eroded the one thing that makes your shop worthy. Convenience. When it taken me 20 minutes to get there from work or home, my name is removed from the list and I have to wait an additional 30+minutes. You need to decide if you want a walk in barber shop or a hair salon with appointments. Otherwise, the haircuts are decent. Staff nice. Great place, if you live within 3 blocks or want to sit in their shop for 1-2 hours.

Ive been going to the Sugarhouse location for about a year now (I used to go to the downtown location for about 5 years) and I love Jeds. The staff is always friendly and theres hardly ever a wait. The sugarhouse location locations is awesome because they have arcade games and a pool table. About 4 months ago I had a Barber nicknamed Puck and Ive requested him ever since. Puck does an awesome job and always has entertaining stories to tell. He is also very knowledgeable about all things Billy Jealousy and knows how to make accurate recommendations. I dont plan on changing barbers anytime soon.

I have never been there before and I was suprized of how well they did on my sons hair. They are very skilled and fast in what they do. Very nice, and as a perk they give you free old fashioned soda after your hair cut and have free arcade games when you are waiting. I highly recomend.

I dont mind waiting for a haircut thats supposed to be higher end, but it would be nice to be told that theres going to be a 30-40 min wait. Then at the end I mentioned this and I was told that theres a new 15 minute minimum check-in policy? Sounds like you need to get rid of your Walkens Welcome sign. Its cute, but highly misleading if youre going to change your policy.Not to mention the girl cutting my hair couldnt understand the cut I was describing. Ive had it done several times before.I dont think Ill be going to this location any more. And if this kind of wait time is now the norm, I wont be headed to any Jeds.

The stylist are all very good at what they do, the prices are very good and their operating hours benefit all their clients.

The only place I get my haircut. Its kinda roulette as to who cuts your hair, but you can request a barber if you find someone you really like. Very friendly staff and they take great care of you. I like to think of haircut day as my spa day.

This hip barbershop is great for a nice cut. It is about average price and almost all of the stylists are amazing. Ive gotten my hair cut here consistently since it opened and I have hardly been disappointed. (I am someone who hates getting their hair cut.)

Ive been coming here for what I would guesstimate to be a year. The concept is quite a cool one in that it takes you back to the 80s unfortunately they have yet to come up with a solution to the problem created by their antiquated rediculous 15 minute call ahead policy. One that I know causes grief for everyone involved as the ever changing staff at the front counter is always quite well acquainted with the problem, and happy to tell me there is no solution. The problem that compounds the first is they are never honest about how long it will take to get me In I have spent 2x as much time waiting in their silly lobby as I have in the chair getting my hair cut. Unfortunately when I want to get my hair cut I rarely have two hours to throw away to get it done... so if you are lonely and want somewhere to hang out with dudes who are also waiting on hair cuts Id highly recommend this spot. For hair cuts I suggest somewhere that wont waste your whole day.

Used to love this place but I will now be looking for a new barbershop. First of all, the quality of the haircuts that I have been getting here have become more and more inconsistent over the last few months to the point that I dont even know what Im going to get when I go in now. Tried to go in a few times over the last week or so and every time there was an hour plus wait. Today I went in at 3:30 on a week day thinking alright they cant be that busy but of course I get there and get told there is an hour wait. Tired of pushing back getting a haircut I just accepted it and I was told I could go run some errands and come back. I come back 45 minutes later, let them know Im here and then go sit down within easy view of the desk. 30 minutes later the receptionist comes up to me and says Uh can you remind me your name? I give her my name and she looks confused and then I explain everything that has happened up to this point and she says oh sorry, youre now at the top of the list. Another 30 minutes go by, people come and people leave, and Im still sitting there. Went and told the receptionist that they can take my name off the list and then leave after receiving no apology or explanation.

I got some good haircuts when I came here, mostly mediocre haircuts and one really bad one. I found Salt Lake Barber company and have been going there for 1.5 years now.
