I inherited Dr. Kim from our long-time and beloved former dentist, Dr. Lowe. Those were BIG shoes to follow. And Dr. Kim filled them and has taken such great care of me! Paid this company >$1000 for night guard due to bruxism with the last one being a whopping $600. COMPLETE waste of a lot of money. I asked dentist to modify at my last visit which they did not do. Now one of my front teeth is sticking out and need to pay for BRACES for a cosmetic issue I didn’t have prior to the $600 mouth guard. Absurd prices, unhelpful staff, will NEVER be returning here and told my friends and family about this experience. Charging this price during a pandemic to a college student is absolutely criminal. I will be taking my business elsewhere, as well as my family’s.

Suzie is great! She’s very welcoming on the phone when I called to make my new patient exam and she is great at what she does taking the full mouth xrays, presenting the treatment plans & scheduling my cleaning, filling & crown appointments. She answered all my questions & very accommodating when scheduling appointments. I had really good experience! I feel comfortable going there.

I got a consultation, x-rays and teeth cleaned at my first appointment at Salinas Smiles and it was a really good experience! The hygienist Tyson was very nice, caring and professional. Dr. James Kim was really nice and everything was explained to me in detail which I appreciated. It seemed that he was advising me for my best interest and didnt want to do unnecessary things to my teeth. I had to bring my 2 year old and they were even accommodating for her. I liked that they have TVs on the ceiling that you can watch so its not so boring when youre getting work done. Highly recommend!

I would like to thank Dr. Kim and his wonderful staff for helping me in my time of need. They were very polite, and made my visit feel more comfortable. The extract came out well and not too much pain during or after. Ill be coming back for follow ups for sure...Im digging on the TVs on the ceiling so that also helps take your mind off whats really going on.

I came in today to see Dr. Lee for a regular routine check up and cleaning. Everyone was so sweet and kind and very thorough with their work. Chloe and Leslie took very good care of me while I was in their care during the check in and exams. Dr. Lee explained my x-rays and follow up treatments that needed to be done on my next visit and was also caring enough to give me a referral to see a specialist because he was concerned about my sleeping habits. What an amazing experience and I can’t wait to see you guys again soon 😁

I am new to the Salinas area and needed a dentist, I came across this dentist office on Yelp. It had such high reviews it sounded like a good place to start. I called the office and talked to Tina, she was so friendly and helpful! Once I walked into the office they said hi to me by name even thought I have never been there. (Nice personal touch)! Again I was greeted by Tina and she was more than helpful. I had a small problem with my insurance she went above and beyond to help get it resolved! Once I got in to see the dentist, he was also very friendly and made my trip to the dentist a pleasure! He explained in detail my teeth are in great shape and took the time to answer all my questions. I was able to schedule a teeth cleaning before I left, needless to say Ill be back! Everyone in this office was such a pleasure to work with!!!

The receptionist went out of her way with excellent customer service contacting my dental plan and verifying that they were a provider.I was impressed with Dr. Kims knowledge of my extraction procedure which indicated that he went to a good dental school. Best of all there was no charge for the consultation!

I absolutely loved it! As a mother, I was very concerned how they would treat my 5 year old, but they were great and so caring and compassionate. My daughter was so nervous but they made her feel right at home. Really recommend for the first timers. She absolutely loved the goodie bag.

Called this morning, ... in pain! New patient! They worked me into their early afternoon schedule and I am so very pleased! Dr. Kims staff are extremely professional and courteous! Dr Kim saw me quickly and was straight-forward! I really appreciate that in the health profession; when the professional knows his stuff and is assertive with what he knows! He quickly saw the problem and had answers then he sent me on to another dentist that specializes in my particular need. His staff made all the arrangements so by the time I arrived at the other office my records, x-rays and referral, were there waiting I will gladly go back to Dr Kim with my normal dental issues when this problem is resolved.

I personally was scared of going to the dentist but the staff and Dr. Kim were more than helpful. They would explain to me things that I was confused on and would specifically explain instructions to me thouroughly. I am grateful to Dr.Kim and his staff for their patience and kindness.

Do not come here. The dentist professionals are great here but the service from the receptionist and reception like positions are horrible. They do not know how to schedule patients and put customers first. They have customers sign an in-house contract(s) that specify a missed appointment fee of $35 and yet when they schedule you for a routine cleaning they disregard the customers need of service. For example, they will tell you the Dr. has no time and not keep in mind of your time nor will they will pay you a cancellation fee from their end. As a person with a very busy work schedule that constantly changes; I made sure to attend all my appointments and have not been satisfied. WARNING CUSTOMERS do not come first here in this establishment. I will never come here again. Will take my hard earned money elsewhere.

Dr. Kim has changed offices since my first visit and things have changed for the worst. I was supposed to go in tomorrow, March 28th, for my crown and at 2:55pm this afternoon I get a call from them saying that they need for me to go in at 4:30pm because theyre office hours have changed since March 1st. HOW DO YOU WAIT UNTIL THE DAY BEFORE A PATIENTS APPOINTMENT TO CHANGE THE TIME. I work in Monterey and I get off at 4:30! Do they expect my schedule to be flexible to accommodate their new office hours? Now, if their office hours changed on March 1st, why when they sent me on March 20th the appointment confirmation email, which I responded confirming the time of 5pm, didnt anybody get back to me to reschedule. Goes to show that they dont even pay attention to the email responses. And if this isnt bad enough, THIS IS THE 3RD TIME THEY CANCEL ON ME. On November 29, 2016 I scheduled an appointment for December 27th and they called me days before my appointment to tell me Dr. Kim was going to be out so I rescheduled for a 2nd time which was then rescheduled to this last one. The only option I was given today was to cut my 1 appointment into 2 or to reschedule it for a 4th time. Well, Im done with this place and Ill be looking for a new dentist.
