I had the worst experience working with Kim Williams. I’ve been going to Allura for chemical peels for almost a year and this was the first time Kim Williams did my peel. She was so rough and she did not take her time at all. After I mentioned she was rough she became rude! She didn’t even bother to follow up with me after the peel. These peels are not cheap at all and I feel like I really wasted my money when Kim Williams did my peel. I would not recommend anyone getting anything done if Kim Williams is the staff doing it!!!!!!
I’ve been going to Allura for several years. The staff is phenomenal! I truly feel as though I’m in very capable, caring hands with Allura. The receptionist, who knows the product lines and procedures inside-out, and really goes the extra mile to make sure that you get the most cost-effective and appropriate products/procedures. She is so organized, it’s unbelievable! The aestheticians are so knowledgeable and so apparently love what they do. The team is really great. They have kept me feeling young and at my best!
First of all, I would like to say that I have worked for a company where customer reviews were received regularly and were a major evaluation of performance, so I understand the impact negative reviews can leave and I do not personally give them unless I feel they are sincerely warranted.A few months ago I had a procedure done at Allura that didnt go smoothly, to say the least. Due to machinery malfunction it took much longer than it should have and caused unbearable pain. My technician was very kind, however, and I didnt cause any sort of fuss (read: I have manners and have worked in customer service). A few hours after my appointment I received a call from the office manager apologizing for the ordeal and telling me and to make up for it that they would offer me $50 off of my next treatment appointment, making my total cost $100 instead of $150, whether that be in 12 weeks or 8 months (verbatim phrasing from the call). I thought that this was really great of them and I appreciated it and how (I thought at the time) they handled business.A couple months later I book an appointment for the same treatment, expecting the discount as I was told. This time the process went much smoother. I had a different technician who was also very kind and friendly like the first. There were a few minor hiccups but nothing major and the pain was minimal. When I went to checkout, however, I was told my total was $150. I referenced the discount I was told I would receive (which was written in my file and also mentioned to the manager by the technician) and the same office manager who told me that I would be getting the discount, told me that the price of $150 was already a promotional price that could not be discounted. So I paid the $150 because what choice did I have. Later I emailed the office for clarification and I was told again by the office manager about the promotional pricing and that she was sorry for the confusion.I dont think I was lied to or tricked (or at least I hope no one would do that), maybe when I was told the next treatment would be $100 she really thought it would be and later learned that it could not be discounted. However, it was a mistake on their part, not a misunderstanding on mine. They should have either honored the pricing that they gave me (again, as it was their mistake) or at the very least, owned up to it and told me prior to my session instead of after when I had no choice but to pay it. The extra money was annoying, of course, but the fact that they tried to almost weasel their way through their error was unacceptable to me.Had it not been for this situation, I would have gladly gone back to Allura (even despite the issues with my first appointment), but the way that this problem was handled really rubbed me the wrong way and I dont plan to return or recommend them.
When I got to my appointment it was 5:33PM. I walked through the door the lady at the front desk asked me for my name so I told her and her response to me was Youre late in a very irritating tone. I asked her isnt my appointment at 5:30PM. She replied yes so I told her well I already filled out my first patient paper work already online so maybe that wont take up more time in the most pleasant voice. She took my papers so I sat down in the lobby where no one was there but me. A lady came from the back and started having small talk with the rude lady at the front. 13 minutes pass with them still talking finally the lady that came from the back called my name 🙄 I proceeded to apologize that I was 3 minutes late and she said oh youre fine, your my last appointment anyways. She stop me in the hallway to take a picture of me but never said what it was for but Im just guessing for before and after pictures. The lady that took me back was very nice and kept good conversation but was not every much help on which treatment I should get. I have scaring and wanted to talk to someone whats best for me. She only said we have two chemical peels which one do you want. Never spoke about the other treatments that they have to offer that could maybe help. Once she was done with the chemical peel I went up to the front to pay the rude lady and that was it, never talked about a follow up or anything. Oh the papers they gave about what creams I should use after the peel they never told me where I could get the creams from so when I went to the store to get the creams they person at the store informed me that I can only get them from the dermatologist. Like I knew that since that was my very first time going to get my skin looked at by professions. Needless to say I still have scaring and looking for somewhere else to go so if any recommends a different place that would be great! Thanks
