Dr. C and his staff are terrific! I transferred to this practice during the pandemic and after many, many years with my prior dentist. It was a great decision and I am more than pleased with the care I have received to date. Highly recommend!

I was petrified of dentists….until I was brought here by my husband several years ago. I’ve been a loyal patient ever since - through wisdom teeth extractions, some replaced fillings, a root canal, and a crown….as well as regular cleanings. Dr C is funny and caring…he understood how scared I was way back then, and nowadays I go in for a cleaning and a “see you in a few months” with a smile. I love Lori, “my” hygienist - she is great! My teeth always feel terrific after she works her magic. Everyone in this office is friendly - I can honestly say I don’t mind going to the dentist!

This is the only place you should get dental work done from. The dentist Jeff is super friendly and very talented; really a wonderful experience. Any questions or concerns I had was promptly answered by the staff. The hygienists were inviting and made me feel comfortable about my procedure. Get ready to actually enjoy going to the dentist! The whole process from scheduling, check in and the actual work is the easiest and most enjoyable thing I’ve done in years. The whole team is honest, transparent, friendly and authentic. From discussing costs to reviewing the work I needed to have done...I felt like they had my best interest in mind. They made sure I understood everything and kept the conversation light and upbeat. Today was my first visit to Essex Street Dental medicine. Things went very well for me I havent been to the dentist in about 4 years everyone was very polite and very safe Lori did my cleaning. She was excellent. And I would recommend this place to anyone.

As a new client I was lucky to get an appointment at the Essex Street Dental Medicine the day after I called. I had a tooth that needed attention, and I found a great dental office.The dental technician was great. She was gentle and explained everything she was doing. I appreciated the fact that she did not expect me to answer her with my mouth full of tools.The dentist saw beneath the what was visible on the surface or in the x-ray. I appreciated that he let me decide what to do, and did not push me to the most expensive option.Although everyone was busy, I was impressed by the positive atmosphere in the office. I was very lucky to be there.

If I could give negative stars I would. I had a bite guard and filling done here. The bite guard did not fit, so this guy filled it in with some sort of acrylic. The first time I removed it from my teeth, big hunks of acrylic fell off into my mouth. The filling he did has been painful since August. I finally went to another dentist today. The filling is jagged and has a gap/hole in it that has been the source of pain. It also caused a cavity in the tooth next to it. Of course insurance wont cover a refill of a cavity, so I am out $365 for the new filling and a co-pay for the filling in the tooth next to it caused by his filling. Horrible and I would not recommend this place to anyone. Their reply is ridiculous....Your apology does not fix the $554.20 I am out to replace the filling you put in incorrectly or the pain caused by the cavity and filling I now need in the tooth next to it as a result.

Doc is awesome... very cool guy with a passion for music & dentistry! I always put off the inevitable because of nervousness- but once we start & finish a procedure- whether it’s a simple filling or an extraction- I couldn’t be more pleased with the results!As far as hygienists go.... The teeth cleaning I received from Deya was the best Ive ever had. Dr. Consiglia was thorough in my dental examine and answered all of my questions in detail. I am very happy I chose this practice.

All 3 of my kids had appointment with Daya and she was great. I love that she reminds them of good oral care at every appointment.

I have been a patient of Dr Jeff since he opened his practice. I have had Dr Jeff do implants, bridges, crowns. fillings and extractions. He has always shown expertise and compassion (physical as well as financial) and is available in emergencies. In addition, he stands behind his work! If there is a problem it is fixed. Where do I even begin? I have a long history of severe tooth pain and other oral care issues due to medical procedures I’ve had as a child. After some traumatic experiences (to say the least) at several dentist offices, I have totally given up hope that I would have the smile I’ve dreamt of nor fix the severe physical pain I felt on a daily basis. THEN, I found Essex street dental medicine. Dr. Casiglia met with me and got me in immediately for a consultation (and a cleaning with Lori, who was amazing!) to get me started. Dr. Casiglia then set a plan in motion to fix the biggest problem. My severe pain. Knowing I didn’t have dental benefits, the cost moving forwards of course would make anyone nervous. Luckily, Ashlynd at the front desk went over options with me and found the perfect dental benefit program for me that made the cost almost as painless as the procedure. I can now say I am completely pain free and have the smile I have always dreamt of! Dr. Casiglia was so gentle, understanding and truly cared about all of my concerns. He made me feel so comfortable and I truly can’t even put into words how amazing he is. I’m so thankful. Thank you to everyone at Essex street dental, you are all wonderful!

Ive been going here since I was 14 years old after my family and I had been on the search for a good dentist in the area. The staff is beyond helpful and friendly. They take good care of each and every one of us. I usually saw Megan for my 6 month cleanings but she relocated to another state in the past year. But, fortunataly enough I now regularly see Deya for my 6 month cleanings. She is super sweet and make me feel comfortable every time!

Dr. Casiglia along with his staff have always gone above and beyond when it comes to making my dental experience THE BEST! Honestly, I was loathed to find a new dentist simply because I had been with my previous dentist in Boston for many years. But a change in jobs to the Northshore made the commute into Boston difficult. After much research I decided to on Essex Street Dental Medicine which is within walking distance of my home. I was not disappointed. From my first phone call to set up the appointment I found everyone very personable and friendly. When I arrived, Lucy was at the front desk and greeted me like a long lost friend. My hygienist was gentle and knowledgeable. As my teeth were being cleaned I could hear Dr. Casiglia talking with other patients in the office and it was clear that he took a sincere personal interest in them and their lives. When he came in to see me he was just a friendly and welcoming. I was also please to find that they have a dental plan called Kleer that offers affordable plans for people like me who do not have dental insurance. All in all, it was a wonderful experience and I am looking forward to many years with Dr. Casiglia and his staff.

I first went to Essex Street Dental after I had broken a premolar. I initially was anxious facing the unknown of how this problem would be fixed and of course extremely self conscious as it was noticeable when talking and smiling. It was quickly decided that an implant was needed. Dr Casiglia walked me though the process from start to finish and answered any and all questions I had. He made the implant process simple and easy which as a patient I thoroughly appreciated. Dr Casiglia passion for dentistry shows in his work and I am beyond thrilled with my results. I have been a patient at Essex Street Dental for almost a decade. Lucy makes scheduling appointments very easy and has even gotten me appointments on the fly when I’ve had to reschedule last minute. Lori’s cleanings are very thorough and so gentle I’ve nearly fallen asleep. The procedures I’ve had done by Doctor Casiglia have been completed without issue and with minimal discomfort (Even the root canal). I moved out of town years ago but still travel to them because they’re the best.
