The most amazing barbershop I have been to in 40 years. The memorabilia on the walls are everything I have ever loved - from Jaws to The Sopranos to Goodfellas. But it was the service that was most important. They are having a good time there! And a great cut. I don’t write a lot of reviews but this one was necessary!

At first I was excited to be here, but soon realized things were going downhill fast. The barber who I originally booked with shuffled me over to another barber while I was sitting in the shop--10 minutes after my scheduled appointment. No barber here was friendly except Lauren. My haircut was solely based on clippers--no scissors were used. And I did book for a close shave and just got trimmed again with the clippers. Not at all what I expected. Very disappointed and will not be back. I did not feel welcomed, nor did I feel that quality service was given, and I did not get the services I originally booked. I was there early on a Saturday morning and felt rushed. I so wanted this place to work out, but wow. What a first time impression. Buyer beware.

Cam was a mutual friend amongst a set of friends and I told him 2 days ago (the 10th) I needed a cut I’m 2 weeks overdue. He informed me he had a slot for 5pm on the 12th and to swing by. I show up 10 minutes early and he was outside to greet me and show me around the shop. The Gent was absolutely professional, open to conversations and gave me exactly what I asked for without question. Medium fade nothing off the top. If you’re getting a cut from somewhere else you’re probably wasting your time. Go see Cam!!!

I have been going to see Jordan since he used to work for other shops. He is a master of his craft and takes his time. He welcomes everyone in his shop and employs a talented crew of barbers. Cant recommend highly enough.

This place is fantastic! I called up and was able to get a same day appointment from Lauren - she was super friendly and gave me a great haircut. I have had a hard time getting the right cut in the past, scissors only no buzzers, but i showed her a picture of what I was aiming for and she more than delivered. This will be the only place I go in the area.

If youre in the North shore and you want to look super-fly this is basically the only spot you should be visiting. Everyone at the shop is super nice the ambience is laid-back theres almost never, but if waiting is needed there are tons of coffee shops you can walk to. And you dont need to pick anynspecific Barber whoever you choose will give you the perfect cut

Hands down the best barber shop in town! Top notch talent and top notch humans. The atmosphere is very laid back and cool with interesting pictures from horror flicks and various movies. The best part you ask? They actually listen to what you want out of a haircut. All the stylists are good but i vibe the most with Brandon, hes funny and witty and listens to exactly what your wants/needs are as far as a cut. Definitely will be back every couple weeks. Keep up the good work guys!

I love it here. I’ve been coming for just under a year(almost every four weeks). In that time I’ve had three different barbers cut my hair, and they all have given me 10/10 hair cuts! Sometimes I show up early just because I like the vibe of the shop! Get your hair cut here if you’re looking for a great haircut and great people!

I’ve been getting my hair cut here since it was back in the Salem mall and won’t go anywhere else. Not only do these guys do a great job but the conversation in there is always fun and interesting. I used to goto a generic barber and I hated it. I never knew who my barber was and the conversation always felt forced. Not here, Badabing reminds me more of the barbers you see in the movies where everyone is like family and they are all talking and laughing about nonsense all the time, I actually look forward to coming here. Just remember to call ahead of time since this place can be full of other happy customers who also now won’t go anywhere else but to these guys for a great conversation and an even better haircut.

Great people giving great haircuts. I typically see Brandon or Jordan. Also, the atmosphere is top notch. I highly recommend calling ahead to put your name down, though. Since theyre often so busy, getting a haircut as a walk-in at the end of the day is unlikely!

Only place I get a haircut!

I have NO hair, well just very little. I have been to several barber shops in Salem and all have failed me. It has taken me three years to find the one and only BRANDON! I LOVE the quality, care, detail and passion that he invests into my hair cut. He takes his time, and is never rushed. I am very self conscious of having so little hair but he makes me feel just as cared for as anyone with a full head of beautiful hair. I admire his passion that he has for his work. He treats discipline as though it is a work of art. Brandon is truly an Artisan of hair cuts, beard trimming etc. The shop is clean fun and filled with fun decorations and nostalgic decor. If you dont go to this shop you are screwed, bottom line.

I went here with my boyfriend on a total whim during our annual trip to Salem. He always wants to cut his hair when we travel. It was easily the best haircut hes ever had, and double plus bonus, the owner gave us really helpful information about the best cookie spot in Salem. Theyre good dudes who REALLY know what theyre doing with your hair.

Great haircuts at a reasonable price, with a very welcoming and unique atmosphere. Get your haircut here once, and you feel like part of the family. They are seriously skilled at what they do, and provided me the best haircut I’ve had. Heads up; like an old fashioned traditional barber, it’s cash only.

First time I sat in the chair I told Mike do whatever you think would look good and he gave me the absolute best haircut of my life. Never before had I gotten so many compliments on a haircut before, for everyone I know it was the first thing they would say to me was wow, you got a REALLY good haircut. Whole staff is excellent, great spot to hang out and talk, comfortable atmosphere and unmatched talent.

Jordan was insightful, conversational, and (most importantly) gave me a phenomenal haircut. He really made an effort to understand what I was going for, gave honest advice, and generally relieved the whole uncomfortable explaining what Im asking for element Im sure many guys struggle with when going for a haircut. He even managed to recommend a local product that the shop carries without overdoing the sales pitch or pressuring me for a purchase. I get now why this place is always busy, and look forward to returning regardless of the wait time.

Finally found a barbershop I love. Its always been super hard finding a barbershop in the area with super friendly and respectful staff. Every where Ive gone tries to give me super short hair and almost shave my sides bald. Im not trying to get the same generic hair style as everyone else, but Im not asking for anything crazy.I walked out with exactly what I wanted here, actually I walked out with better hair than I was imagining to be honest Haha.

Both Jordan and Brandon take great pride and care in the work that they do, and they reliably deliver top-notch haircuts and shaves. The vibe is relaxed and friendly, and their prices are quite reasonable given the quality of their work. Ive never written a review of any establishment before, but felt compelled to spread the word. We came in from Tx to go to a wedding. I googled barber shops and this was one of the places that came up. There was no real wait and the cut/ beard trim was great. My in-laws live a little over an hour from here and I will make the drive every time I’m close.

Id like to begin by saying that on the phone theyre very friendly and the place is very clean. Between this and the good reviews, I was really optimistic about giving it a try.No appointments here, you call ahead get added to the board, and are told when to show up. I arrive at 5:40 (as advised), someones in the chair being worked on who appears to be at a clean #1 already as I got there.By 6:15, the cut ahead of me still isnt finished (because it was more chat than cutting) and Im not even acknowledged by the barber aside from the hello I recieved and being screened whether I called in or not when arriving.I shouldnt have to wait 40 minutes if youre telling me when to arrive. That might he reasonable on a Saturday, but not on a Tuesday night when its absolutely dead.

I am in the area traveling on business and found the place. One of the best I have been to and if I lived close by this would be my permanent place to go. I highly recommend it and I do not recommend places at all. Just ask for Magic Hands when you go in.
