Oscar was great. Had trouble printing a receipt and there was some confusion about billing the warranty provider for my tires. Waiting area needs to be updated. Under construction for Advanced Auto Parts. No retail parts available from here anymore. Took almost 3 hours to put 2 tires on. Happy otherwise.

Made an appointment 5 days prior. Luckily called in advance to confirm after receiving confirmation email. Do not trust these appointments. Employee on the other line was very well mannered but the online booking is not realistic and he informed me that there was no record of my appointment and due to understaffing they would be unable to service my vehicle. Wish I had known this ahead of time to make other plans.
The store is a joke! I made an appointment for oil change and confirmed before going go to the store. I go to the store only to see angry customers. A guy ahead of me claimed that the employee was missing for 40 minutes. Another customer claimed Grant was seen sleeping in the corner. Anyways, I tell him that I have an appointment and he said okay and starts telling me that he has worked 100 hours straight. Few minutes later he hops on the computer to charge me and presses something and now claims the store has a blackout. The lights were on still and I could see lights on different equipments. He says he cannot do a oil change despite of my appointment and I had drove 30 minutes to get there. Short story less : he says he cannot call anyone, he is the only staff working, he says he is the manager and the manager above him is in Fresno and later changed the story to his boss has covid and cant answer any call. Please do not waste your time going here, I wasted my time, energy, and gas and did not get a single apology. I would have given the rating 0 if I could. For the management, if you see this it is not nice to do this to anyone.
Pretty decent service, the two guys who helped me yesterday were quite amazing. The bill was little bit higher than I anticipated but all in all good experience!

It nearly flipped my car and did thousands of dollars in damages to it. Please do yourselves, and your loved ones a favor, and look at the photos. When I took it in to get the tires looked at just before this occurred, I was told you didnt buy the road hazard, so youll be charged for us to look at it and no repairs will be made without additional cash outlay.

Horrible! I made an appointment for an oil change and when I arrived, I was told it was going to be 2-3 hr because they were booked. Later, I tried again, whoever I talked to on the phone apologized for the previous experience and told me they would get me done quickly that day. When I arrived, I was told it was going to be a 2 hour wait again. How hard is it to keep a schedule or appointment??? Apparently its beyond these guys.
Terrible dont go here you got jiffy lube right down the street, Tire shop down the street also. Over priced and never cleans the funnel when they add oil and if they dont have the filter the mangers tells the tech to leave the old filter on depending on how busy it is... Im trying to say theres better places I can go on and on, if you dont belive me ask me how I know
Had a 12 oclock appointment and when I got there I was told my appointment meant nothing and I had to wait 3 hours. Asked the manager on duty if I could come back at 2:30 and he said no that I had to wait with vehicle or drop it off. I explained to him that isnt fair all he said to me was it wasnt his fault online lets up to 4 people schedule an appointment for the same time and told me I had to leave or come back in which case it would probably be a longer wait. I was completely flabbergasted and appalled at the response, the customer service, and his lack of want to make it right. I went right across the street to Jiffy Lube and was in and out in an hour n half with NO appointment. Will NEVER go back to this one and I advise all to not depend on their appointment scheduling. This is horrible

I stopped here today from out of town because the battery on my car wouldnt hold a charge. I am in town to take a licensing exam for my employment. This was the third shop I had gone to for help, it was Saturday and shops were busy. I explained my situation to Kassaundra who helped me tremendously. I was stressed out and didnt know what to do. You dont find customer service like what I got today, ANYWHERE! She got the battery installed quickly. What a relief. THANK YOU! The other staff I spoke with were very helpful as well.
I came in for tires and had some technical difficulties with the payment processing that pretty much took all day. Michael In the front was outstanding, he was very professional, knowledgeable and handled the situation with a positive attitude even though he had multiple customers with issues within themselves. He is a great asset to this store and is going to be key for the future of this store. The techs in the back were also helpful and even stayed late to help me get my truck going.I am very satisfied with the service here and I know my truck will be in great shape for the drive back to Texas. Went with my somewhat annoying old lady friend (and her chihuahuas) for a diagnostic, everybody very patient and polite. They took the time to explain everything to her, price was great, more affordable than other places we checked. Easy parking.

BIG 4, minus 1 star, they did their best because not enough help. My ONLY complaint, I asked to check my brakes, long story short, past couple times they said my brakes were fine. After my last oil changed couple weeks ago, my car was squeaking, brought my car back a week later to get my brakes done...my back tires were down bald to the ROTORS 😱OMGPepboys manager if any of your costumers asked to check their cars what needs to look at, do SO...BECAUSE someone like I, will pay to get my car fixed by you Pepboys ...thanks

Took my Audi A6 here for brakes and oil. Ended up taking four days for them to “fix it” now my car wont break unless you push pretty hard. After turning the car on for the first time after they “fixed it” the EPC light is now on. My car is leaking oil and I wasn’t even notified and they lost my hubcap when driving it. Also went in on a full tank and left half way to E. Pricing changed from 200 to 500, then from 500 to 800. Only upside is I only paid 570 for all the trouble but the visit 100% was not worth it.
Love this place. What gets me is the boys always provide free air for my tires. Maybe because they know me from years of bringing my car here. They always provide good service. I use the online appointment system, and always get the morning slot so Im done on time. Super happy customer.
I went into your shop to buy four new tires. The lug nuts on my car were destroyed, they only had 4 in stock. They only put on one new tire that day, Wednesday. I had to wait for the other tires to come into stock, Thursday. Then I got a phone call the next day saying that they were doing inventory and they couldnt bring anything in and they couldnt sell anything. Then I was told to come in on Friday. I showed up, they tell me that they cant change my tires after me sitting there waiting for 45 minutes. Because they didnt have any more lug nuts and the lugnuts on the other three tires that I have were also stripped. So all in all it was a big waste of time and no one had any kind of customer service to inform me of change and no customer service to apologize when they made mistakes.
Helpful staff: Lookup for windshield window blades. Easy fast purchase and changed them in the parking lot.

The establishment always has better choices, prices, and its even fun to walk around like a toy store. Some personnel can brush up on some training but overall my preferred auto parts store. Wish there were more though.
They were very helpful not only on figuring out the issue with my vehicle but finding ways to help me save. Darren Dennis was a great mechanic and willing to help when I came back for something simple. Will definitely be back for my regular maintenance! 😊

It still takes 2+ hrs to just do an oil change and get tire rotations... when I lived back in San Diego, the pepboys there literally took only 30 mins to 40 mins to get my car back to me... last time took it to there it took 3.5 hrs.. horrible customer service

He took the time to figure out why the headlight replacement bulb I got wouldnt plug in correctly by unhooking the other side and noticing that the adapter was missing. He spent a lot of time with me and worked on my car in the HOT sun on blacktop. I really appreciate the excellent service!

First of all, I do my own vehicle maintenance. Pep Boys employees have always been very helpful and gotten me the parts or tools I need to get the job done. Admittedly, I usually know what Im looking for before I go in there, but they are always there with a suggestion if theres a better option available and I appreciate that.Their inventory is pretty good, I can usually get what Im looking for. I dont know anything about their service dept.
I walked in store and waited in line on Monday 09/30/19. Made an appointment with the young man at the desk to come in on Wednesday 10/02/19 at 5pm to have all tires changed and an alignment. Made arrangements to leave my work early so that I could arrived 5pm for the service, and an apathetic young girl at the desk told me that I wouldnt get my car serviced because they were, quote, just too busy today. This was absolutely unprofessional. The manager of the store was conveniently not there at the time. I will be calling district management. this is unacceptable.
Im usually in and out of here pretty quick, and if they dont have what I need, they can normally get it by the next day or two. I shop their website first, because they have promotions and discounts, then all for the same thing in-store, and have never had them say no. Customer service is pretty good, and the store is always clean when I go in.
This was the only place I was able to find the auto shade Id been looking for. I was only in the store for about 5 minutes yet was approached by 2 associates ensuring I was finding everything I needed. At the register, the associate updated all of my information in the rewards system. Thank you guys and great customer service!

Almost 2 and a half hours to get an oil change. And that was with an appointment. Whats the point of having an appointment??? I was scheduled for 2:30 pm I show up at 2:15 they didnt pull my car around back to service it until 4. Didnt get the keys back until 4:40.
Not impressed: Price, wait time, and follow through are all very poor. I will go out of my way to NOT recommend this place to my friends and family.
Come in for an oil and filter change. Ended up with oil all over the engine bay. The filter was just wiped clean to appear changed. Had to wait 3 hours for all that great maintenance. Will never return and recommend anywhere but here. Won’t let me post review unless I check one star. I give it negative stars.

I have been to this Pep Boys about 4 times and each time they have been really helpful. they suggest online coupons when available and quote me honestly. I had an oil change done and asked them to check out a few more things I was concerned about and after waiting 30 minutes, Sonny came out and brought me back to the bay where my car was and personally showed me each issue they had found and suggested I get fixed. This was helpful, especially since I know little about anything other than driving a car! They seem honest and care about their work. I will be back.
I have been taking or cars here for over 15 years. This is a great location. All the staff are friendly & helpful.If you have small repairs or you just need a quick oil change. This would be the place for you. Tire prices are comparable to other shops near by.Dont forget to go to the website & check for coupons or sales.

Ive viewed Pep Boys with high regard for years, but after my fiance asked to check his tires, particularly the back passenger side tire, before a 2,000 mile excursion and the Manager so rudely said no because the employees voided the warranty on the tires he wanted checked out by way of taking them off the car the last time he got his tires checked (even though THOSE WERENT THE TIRES HE HAD WANTED CHECKED LAST TIME!) I NO longer view this company so highly! They didnt follow instruction and did something completely unnecessary. Now he is currently on the freeway trying to put on a spare time while nearly getting killed twicw now by drivers speeding past. They dont care about the safety of their product or the well-being of their customers; its all about the money.
This store needs to step up their game. Dont see how they stay in business and customer service is the worst I have seen by a company doing business. Get your act together. Wouldnt recommend this store to my blind, dead dog. VERY POOR SERVICE AND DONT SEEM TO REALLY CARE!!!!! Wouldnt going back again!!!!

I got appointment with these people at 9:00 A.M., I came in and the lady whos name is Erica told me nicely that it takes a couple of our for diagnostic process and we will let you know what do you need to do on your car. I didnt heard anything and I called them at 2:00 P.M. the guy behind the line told me that we are working on it. Again I called them at 4:20 the morning lady said that the technician right now is working on your car. I havent heard anything until I went there (it was 6:10 P.M.) another lady who was working instead of Erica, told me that I am working on your diagnostic report!? 9 hours for just diagnostic folks! These people dont have any respect to you and your time and on top of everything they lie to their customer. Please dont waste your valuable time with this PEP BOYS Location. What a joke!! Brought our old Yukon to have fuel pump changed. They did an engine diagnostic on it. Now how can they do that without starting the car? They told husband it needed a new battery.! It was perfectly fine when it was towed in! We are in parking lot trying to jump it!! Oh thank goodness it started!! No one came to help! Not ever again!! This place sucks!! They just try to bleed senior citizens!!
Thought to give a chance after low google reviews.. ended up learning a lesson … Good bye Pep Boys... (didt like their service, I wanted conventional oil, they chose full synthetic oil, they cant remove oil filter cap, they told its broken by previous service center, but didt discounted the filter cost, I wanted tire rotation, I have to check on my own request it again and send it back for it) .. now I doubt they did break the filter cap.. only god knows ...
Great bunch of gals and guys! Got 5 holes patched on my tires they had me in and out in no time. Veterans discount saved too. You m.j ay think high prices I did too but she gave me a further discount. It was still expensive but the experience was almost painless too close to payday.. :-)
I only needed to pick up a four dollar part but the guys at the store are super cool and really helpful… I recommend this store to anybody even if you’re handicapped… More handicap spaces that I’ve ever seen in a parking lot! LOL.

As a more DIY person this location used to be great until they remodeled the store and began focusing more on business accounts and services. If you go in looking for a part and they dont have it they just say nope we dont have it and thats it. Other places on Northgate will at least check their stores other location and either offer to have it sent over or tell you which of their other locations do have it in stock without asking. Personally the only time I go here is if none of the other places have the part I need in stock. Also their parking lot is pretty small and has this weird steep incline to it which can be cumbersome to some people.
Place needs help! Service desk is extremely slow! The lady helping me was working hard as she can. She was on the phone, helping a customer and taking care of the information for each car on her own! Very friendly lady and I commend her for her hard work. Get another service desk employee! Only one person doing this job is unacceptable, especially on a Saturday.
I am at pep boys right now been here since 8am with an appointment for a tune up.. it is now 1:10pm and i am still waiting... they are not consider of customers time especially if we made an appointment... i cant believe how long im waiting for a tune up i understand 3 hours but 5 hours going on 6 hours!!! Pep boys needs to be evaluated by Bureau of Automotive repair make sure they are doing there job efficiently and professionally!!!! We spend our hard working money here we expect to be treated like value customers not animals
Not super professional as a lot of younger kids work there but the ones that helped me and other customers today were very helpful, yet playful. they had a lot of patience when i was ordering my items from the online site for in-store pick up bc of the 20% off promo code. they patiently waited as i added the items for ordering, even giving me part numbers to make my search easier. very positive experience.
Went in for tires, they have an amazing selection of rims. I found the exact rims I was looking for and got a great deal! Best deal I found around all Sacramento.
Made an online appointment for an alignment at 2:30 PM. I didnt get an email confirmation. So I called the service department and was placed on hold for 15 minutes. Hung up and called again only to be placed on hold for another 5 minutes. Called again and after another 8 minutes finally spoke to the service department to confirm the appointment.I went for my 2:30 PM appointment only to find out my appointment was not in the system and I would have to wait until 6 PM.
My car wasnt ready on time, and no one called when it was ready. I waited for 20 minutes for someone to assist me at the service desk when I cane to pick up my vehicle so I was very annoyed at this point. When Kevin came to assist me, he was very polite and helpful. He helped turn a very bad experience around. Pep Boys is lucky to have Kevin.
They charged me $100 for labor to install a new gas cap. Seriously?? The cap itself was $10. They are all about the money and not customer service. Not going back to them.

Their staff doesnt have the knowledge you would hope for I asked for points I took home a condenser. I took it back the points they sold me were faulty. Not happy i will pay more at napa just because of the knowledge and service.

Id do 2 1/2 stars if I could. Still not stellar. Not bad, but not great.My beef isnt even all on this location, though some is. As I said, not bad, not great. Beef with the location specifically is that it wasnt particularly timely or communicative.I had called most of the week trying to get a leaky brake line fixed the same time I came in to get my tires installed. The service department was awful at calling back. Twice I left a message for the supervisor with no results, so I was hoping the tune would change upon arrival. The very first time I called, they talked so fast with the spiel I couldnt hear any of it, so I asked if they could repeat it. They did with a teenage-esque huff, and a clearer can you hold please. Fine, Im not really known for my bedside manner or customer service skills, but dont have people like me answer the phones.While I understand Pep Boys wont install aftermarket brake lines a customer brings in, those are the cards I was dealt-- it leaked, the manufacturer sent a free replacement, and the wheel would be off and itd be a big shop. Corporate needs to evaluate such safety related emergencies, though.Furthermore, with said warning that the brakes were bad, and that they should note it on the work order, they didnt. And I could see the workers flying through the lot into the service bay like it was fine-- I know damn well that brake pedal is about as soft as Sponge Bobs politics, and it shouldnt be anywhere near that last-minute for slowing. Then the guy who pulled it out and checked me out, same thing in terms of haste and last-minute slowing (he didnt really seem like he was as awake as maybe he should be, either).While I was there, I wasnt the only one frustrated with service, and I know that the ratings for this location are yet lower from where I had my tires bought and shipped from, and I see why.
Went to get an oil change. Stood at the service counter for 5 minutes while 2 guys were helping a lady. I asked if there was anyone that could help me or if there was time for an oil change, was told they’d be right with me. 10 more minutes go by and they are still chatting with the lady. I asked if it would be much longer. Guy says “I still have to write her up and take care of another ticket.” Neither of them either acknowledged me, I had to ask them for help. Do not go there, they would rather socialize and talk about fishing and where they get to travel to, than help a customer. Never again!!
I bought 4 brand new tires from this pep boys. I had previously bought a tire a few weeks before that. I Asked that they take that tire and put it where the spare goes. They also told me that it would take 30 to 45 minutes I was there for 3 hours. And they tried to keep the spare tire. I had to point out that they had not put back on before they drove it out of their garage. I paid to have my front end aligned too because it was bumpy when driving on the freeway. Now, today I took my as suv to a Jiffy Lube to have the oil change and they informed me that the tires are almost completely worn out on the front on the insides. They informed me that I needed to get the front end aligned! I will never go there again.

I scheduled service for today. When I arrived I had to wait in line for probably 15 minutes only to be told that theyd need to reschedule.They took down my number when I made the appointment so Im upset that I took the time out of my day to make the appointment and show up only to not receive service at my scheduled time.They provided no excuse for the reschedule. If they had called me once they knew it would need to be rescheduled I would have been happy to reschedule. But since they didnt value my time enough to give me a heads up I simply cancelled.They should know that not calling customers for reschedules is costing them business.

We were traveling from Oregon to LA for College interviews and the engine light came on at 7:00 p.m. on a Saturday evening. Found the closest Pep Boys to our planned stop. The manager Larry Chalker completely took care of us. The were only able to do a check on the engine but promised to do their best to fix the vehicle on Sunday so we could be on our way for our Monday interviews! They even drove us to our hotel and picked us up Sunday morning. I couldnt ask for better treatment. THANK YOU PEP BOYS for going above and beyond!
If wasnt for the convenience and decent pricing on the oil change price, i would not frequent Pep Boys. Why make an appointment online only to wait 2 hrs for my service? Walk ins fair better.
Went in for oil change and vehicle inspection. Waited for 3 hours. When checking out I was told that my tires were rotated. Total lie. I marked a tire...they didnt even check the air pressure. It was low.
I had an appointment this morning for an oil change and to get a new tire mounted. Took over 2 hours, they blamed website overbooking and workers not showing up for work causing the delays. Once I got home, I looked at my newly mounted tire to find a date code of 2913. Yes, thats right, Pep Boys sold and installed a five year old tire on my rim!! Unbelievable. I called as soon as I realized it and Im still awaiting the managers call back. Buyer beware, no tire seller should ever sell and install a new tire that is over 1 year old.
