If youre looking for a place to without, get strong, and get fit then this is the place for you. Great location in sacramento near downtown. Programming, coaching, equipment and the members are amazing. Its definitely your one stop shop for your fitness needs.
By far the best facility around. They keep it clean from the equipment, to the facility itself. By far the nicest and most knowledgeable coaches. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend ISC to anyone. I am certainly satisfied thus far and have been blown away by my experience at this facility. Hands down, best choice I’ve made training at ISC. I look forward to walking through the doors and always feel amazing when I leave.
1 of the best decisions Ive made is joining this team. Married and a father of 2. No dad bod for me!
Been to many gyms in Sacramento. This place is seriously a hidden gem. I only found out about because I live nearby and saw people working out outside. This place will get you into amazing shape. This is not an open gym, it is strength and fitness classes. There are trainers that run classes 6 days a week, Monday - Saturday, closed on Sunday just like chick-fil-A. At this gym you pretty much get personal training in the form of a class working out with other people in the class, its a really good environment. This gym is just really really great, some people think the classes are intense, but once you actually workout in them, its not that bad. Also, classes are always 1 hour, so you cant a lot done in a hour.
Oh! This was 1998! You should seen me in 1998! I was Killin It!!! One of many quotes you may hear during the challenging workouts. The coaches are great, people are great, workouts are great. Thank you very much have a wonderful day
I needed to get fit on a crash-course pace, and Coach Singleton designed a program in consultation with Kiki, their nutritionist, and in under four weeks, I gained 4.5 lbs of muscle and lost 1.5 pounds of fat, dropping an inch on my waist. I had physical limitations in my knees and shoulders, and they devised alternative routines to safely work the same muscle groups. There is no doubt I’ve never been stronger, and during my training, we almost never did the same exercise twice. But what I liked most is that the classes were co-ed (mostly women but some dudes, too), and they were very supportive. If you come here, you don’t just get a gym, you get a workout family.
ISC changed my life! Not only physically but mentally. This is not your average gym, ISC is team/ family of individuals with different goals that come together to motivate and help one another. The trainers are great and if you need accountability this is the place for you. My advice, DONT BE INTIMIDATED! There are people of all fitness levels and everyone is welcoming!!
Been searching for a place that resembled workouts I used to do for training in the military and fire department. I can now say I found that place at ISC. Their program is a good for similar strength & conditioning workouts I missed during my physical occupations. After working out on my own for years, the ISC group class is high energy with others pushing their limits. A great group and staff that helps you get back on track or reach new goals. People around me noticed a change in my physique within a few weeks. Thanks to ISC I couldnt have done it on my own. Go try a class. Youll get hooked if you are the type that knows when you walk away feeling smoked.
Stop what you’re doing and check out ISC!! Motivating environment, totally judgement-free, alllll levels of experience and expertise. I showed up with no experience and the coaches have patiently shown me how to condition, strengthen - and even eat - for a healthier lifestyle. I did my research to find fitness options in the land park area and this is truly the best bang for your buck! Coach T keeps it interesting and always has fun programs folks can participate. If I can do it, you can do it! Added bonus: you make friendships that will last a lifetime. This isn’t a gym, it’s a fitness family.
Stumbled across ISC and soooo glad I did! Such an enthusiastic fitness family to be a part of! Coach T and the other coaches always keep the workouts interesting and innovative, ensuring you use proper technique and get the most out of each session. Everyday is unique. I’ve gained so much more strength and confidence since becoming a member. I always look forward to the next workout and leave feeling better than when I came in. Thanks for all the words of encouragement team ISC and keeping it real!
This is not your average Gym! You have to visit to see what I mean! Personalized training with true fitness experts! Its affordable and fun!
I love ISC! These workouts are legit. Theyre fun, functional, and I always get a great pump. The coaches are knowledgeable and patient. The equipment is clean and perfect for beginners and advanced athletes alike. If you dont put your equipment back the coaches WILL catch you and make you do burpees! Coach T runs a tight ship: he expects a lot but he motivates. If youre not putting out, one of the coaches will call you out. But its not uncommon to hear the music get loud and to watch the coaches and a few athletes break into dance. This is a gym for those eager for fitness and gainz.
I have never been more motivated or committed to a gym than ISC. Phenomenal and super motivating coaches/trainers!!
This review took many months for me to decide to post. I like the trainers & never want to hurt someones livelihood, but I believe in accountability. Many people wouldnt want the judgment from writing a poor review of charasmatic, well-liked guys but I dont want them to continue to take advantage of people so this is straight up.First, I gave them 2 stars for Toraino & Austin being really good trainers & likeable people. Other than that, this place is very poorly run. The workouts were great & if you are a young attorney like most of their clients & money isnt a concern, itll probably be great for you.Heres my story...I met Austin at a community meeting where he was doing some PR for the gym. I asked him if they had any fitness/agility classes for kids. He said they did & I should bring my son in to talk. He talked us into an introductory month for $70 or $80. They didnt end up having any classes for kids so I cancelled my membership, rather than jump to their usual rate somewhere above $150 just for me.A few weeks later they asked if I wanted to do a team challenge. It sounded like fun & it was $160 for 6 weeks with a chance to win $600. It was fun but it was an absolute unorganized mess. Rules were not predefined so we had no idea how we were being scored for the competition. The guys kept making up rules throughout the contest, contradicting themselves & each other. It was chaotic. They might as well have drawn the winning team out of a hat.During this contest Austin told me they would be starting up a kids class on Mondays and Wednesdays for $100/month. I signed my son up & he loved it. I decided to continue after the contest for $160 for both my son & I (Austin looked at it as my son getting to work out for free). Then two weeks after we started this arrangement, a few hours before class, Austin texted me that he was cancelling the kids class effective immediately. I texted him back that I wanted to cancel our membership because the main reason I was doing it was for my son & Id never pay over $100 for myself. He said I needed to email the gym to cancel & said they had some 2 week policy for it to take effect (ironic how they can cancel classes with hours notice but clients have to provide 2 weeks). In my email I suggested they do the right thing & refund me at least half my $160.I never heard anything back from my email so I texted Austin a week or so later to make sure it was received. He said it was & that my membership was frozen until I decide to come back. With the lack of organization, commitment, & integrity Ive seen from this place, I dont think Ill be going back.
The challenge and motivation is endless at ISC!
Great facility and awesome trainers.
