Im really on the fence on this place. I take excellent care of my teeth and always have but every time I come here, they have nothing positive to say about my home dental care. It gets harder and harder to keep my appointments here. My long time dentist retired a few years ago and I miss him terribly. He was always so positive and would tell me I was doing a good job brushing and flossing. At Capital City Dental, its doom and gloom at every appointment. They literally have nothing positive to say about my teeth. They also damaged one of my retainers when they cleaned them which cost me $250 to replace. On the plus side, they were willing to take a reduced number of x-rays when I expressed concern about radiation exposure.

I’ve been a patient for over 10 years and always receive top notch dental work (and compassion due to my anxiety about dental procedures.) Staff is friendly and professional. Hygienist Remy is excellent! She is thorough, knowledgeable, thoughtful, and super efficient. Highly recommend.

I found out about this place through my client (Im a barber) Dr. Scott. Sorry I dont remember his last name lol. I have only been to this office three times. First two just for cleanings and was very impressed by their customer service as well as how they cleaned my teeth. Im one of those patients that had tons of cavities as a kid, so I was very familiar with how fillings are suppose to feel after. Well I had gone to place before Capital City Dental years ago and had fillings done. Knew something was off almost right after he was done. Anyway fast forward to a year later and it chipped out! So after finding this awesome place,I finally had that fixed along with some other problems lol. Dr.Lia was the one who did the work and she was amazing! Didnt even feel the numbing shots or anything after. Her dental assistant was awesome as well. All in all I am very happy with the service and their work. I will never go anywhere else now. 😁

This is my favorite and best dentist Ive ever had! Everyone there is so knowledgeable, helpful, and friendly. I never thought Id actually kind of enjoy going to the dentist. Ive been going here for about five years now - highly recommend!

Excellent dental care. I had a replacement crown done. Fits perfectly! They took great care at Capitol City Dental to make sure that I had absolutely no discomfort and that any appointments I needed fit in my schedule. All personnel very pleasant and professional.

I love my hygienist Rachel so much. She cleans my teeth better than anyone has my whole life. Plus she’s fun and a dog lover! Dr. Lai is an awesome and thorough dentist who knows her stuff. The girls at the front desk have a thorough knowledge of insurance and work hard to make sure you don’t pay more than you should. Plus they validate your parking! A+ dental office!

I have the best hygienist in town! Please dont ever lose her! She takes excellent care of my teeth. She does a thorough job every visit and is always concerned about my well being.

I went to get a cleaning, wanted to cancel. Because I didnt want pain or more expense. The cleaning was painless. The exam felt Honest.. the dentist didnt seem to be looking to charge me anything extra. That made me respect her more.It was a warm environment .

I have been going to Capitol City Dental for more than 3 years. I am practically a family member because of how involved I am with the staff and the history my family has with this dentist office. You get in and wait a few minutes, then you can get out approximately an hour & a half depending on your appointment. I appreciate the feedback and help the staffs give back to me about my dental conditions. The pre-scheduling appointments and parking validation process were also swift & smooth.

Overall I have had a good experience. The new location near the Capitol...has been one of the motivators for me to move on to another dentist.I do have to say that my last cleaning was incredibly painful. I felt mauled! The suction device got placed on my lip...and I had a sore there for 24 hours. The hygienist “kind of” said she was sorry. The cleaning was done in 35 min....normally takes 50 min. I mean, who doesn’t like to be in and out quickly? BUT...some things should be done with care...and perhaps less vigorously?Anyway, this was the only poor experience after several years of decent care. Sorry Capital City...I just had to say something.

Excellent customer service at the front desk. Calming voice and pleasant smile. Exactly what you need if youre not happy about visiting your dentist or hygienist. My hygienist was knowledgeable, pleasant and actually put me at ease by explaining what she was doing while asking me the dreaded flossing questions,. She never made me feel like I was being punished. Her name is Remy. Very strong hands, but extremly gentle. I didnt flinch one time. I highly recommend Capitol City Dental.Julia Bluford

I started going to Capitol City Dental in September. I love how much they care of the well being of your teeth. I have learned so much more about my teeth in the last two months, than in the years I was going to my previous dentist. I was surprised when I went in the other day and Dr. Lai saw me in the reception area and knew me by my first name. The entire office makes you feel welcomed and at home.

Staff and hygienist were excellent. Due to lifting a couch earlier, however, my back chose to go out during my teeth being cleaned. I will watch what I lift and look forward to finishing my treatment as soon as they have an available time!! To all who who came to my rescue there! Great people!

I didn’t have the best experience at this dentist. I had several cleanings, fillings, and a crown done here. While the dentists and technicians are fine, I felt like they were constantly pushing more costly procedures on me and not being upfront about how many visits and the cost it would entail. (Even with me constantly checking in with my insurance company about everything.) When I expressed my concerns, the front desk staff was quick to tell me to find a new dentist and they’d be happy to send over my records to a new office. I personally wouldn’t recommend them, but it seems like others have had a positive experience.

The dentists and staff are first rate. All are very knowledgeable and very personable as well. I have been going here for almost 20 years and would highly recommend this dental practice.

Your management seriously needs work. Immediately. This place needs immediate attention. Capitol City Dental is incredibly disorganized. Here’s the deal:I called one week ahead of my appointment to confirm my appointment details and see how much it would cost to make sure I was fully prepared on my end as a patient. The attendant on duty told me I was simply getting a cleaning done and that it was covered by my insurance. I asked,“Are you sure? There has been miscommunication in the past and I don’t want that to happen again on my file.”“Yes, I am positive.”“Can you make sure to note this in my notes on my file so there is no confusion?”“Yes I will notate your account.”“Thank you.”I get to my appointment a week later, checkin and confirm my appointment details. This attendant says that I am getting an X-ray (which I knew I already had done back in January) and that it would cost me over $300.No. This was not okay. I corrected it and went on with a cleaning... that they said I’d still have to pay $97 for if they couldn’t get it covered. This was a huge mistake of the dentist office and for this mistake they are not even covering the cost of the cleaning.I have already made myself clear with the office but truly feel they should hold themselves accountable for the mistakes they make like these.

I recently had my teeth cleaned for the first time here. People were nice and it was an overall good experience. A couple of weeks later, I got a bill in the mail saying I owed $50 with no description of the charge. I called about it and was informed that I received a fluoride treatment (without my knowledge) and then was charged on the back end for it. The office manager refused to take this off my bill because the service was already rendered. How shady is that? I guess Ill be switching dentists...

Don’t like parking! Plus multiple returns for a temporary cap as they couldn’t get the ‘Bite’ adjusted!! I’ve been in SO much PAIN in 5 months ! Dentist SAID I needed a root canal on bottom tooth and gave me a Referral- I went and was told by the Root canal SPECIALIST - I DID NOT need a root canal - I was sent back to Capitol City Dental and at that time was ORDERED a NEW cap. After it arrived in. I was called to return for the new install. THE NEW CAP DID NOT FIT! Dr Snyder stated the system had the info and did NOT need a new set up! WRONG! They re did the mold and sent me home! A couple of weeks later the called to let me know it was in. I return and the Final Cap was installed and has been working OK. Not perfect. Have problems chewing on hard items - still sensitive after a MONTH later! Im hoping over time it will be ok!

Dr Hanefields office is always impeccably professional. As he is easing into retirement, he has partnered with a couple of other dentists, whom Ive also had good experiences with. Down-to-earth is how Id describe this office of dentists.

Hygienist is amazing… The way she uses her tools and the way she talks you through everything makes it easy for me to not have anxiety about sitting in the dentist chair and just let her do her job… I have a couple places in my mouth that have exposed roots and I’m always terrified of cleanings… But she Was very mindful about where my pain is and she cleaned around without touching once

Dr. Hanefield is retiring, but still works there once a week. Honest dentist & great guy. His replacement Dr. Victoria Lai is brand new, but is eager to serve. The other staff like dental hygienist, Emily, are great and do a wonderful job.

Dr. Hanefields office and Kaur Dental group are awesome. Ive been coming to this location for the last two years. They have done excellent work and dont overcharge as some dentist offices do. Emily the Hygienist (the Asian one, as there are two) is the best and is so gentle and efficient on cleanings. I would recommend this office to anyone that would like quality and affordable work done. You will not regret your choice.

Kelly at the front desk was very rude to me over the phone and when I came in. I was sick and did not think I should come in. She told me that she really wished I would have called her because she has a waiting list and would not let me speak then hung up the phone.So I came into the office she laughed at me and gave me a weird look. I continued with my appt even though I was sick. My cleaning went very well and I do like the high end technology and the doctors however, I will not be coming back. The rude service at the front desk from Kelly and the overly priced quote I received for the services they suggested has made me realize I need to find a new dentist.
