I do not recommend signing up with LA Fitness if there is ever a chance that you will need to cancel. Their cancellation policy requires that you fill out a form and mail it in or that you visit a club. However, on two separate occasions (years apart) I have gone in to a club to cancel only to find out that my credit card is still being charged. In the most recent occurrence, I called in and was told that most of the people at this particular club are new and they cant really do anything for me as that happened under the previous regime.The gym facility is nice, but if you ever have to cancel, expect to continue paying because their staff cant complete a process.

Very impressed with this gym. Definitely one of the nicest LA Fitness facilities I’ve ever been too. It’s very large, with a great variety of exercise equipment. Not very many people working out at 6am, which I like. The place is clean, and they keep the a/c fairly cool (although it should actually be a little lower). I will give them poor marks on their TV channel selection on the cardio machines though. Only a few to choose from. I was also disappointed in the front desk staff. I’ve never been in any fitness center anywhere that the person at the desk wouldn’t even look up to greet people coming in, nor to say goodbye and wish people a good day as they leave. I guess they pay the staff here to sit at the front desk and watch movies on their iPad? Overall a great fitness center though.

Only has 2 squat racks. If you need more explaination this gym is right for you.

1. When my son made membership he was explicitly told that he will be able to transfer his membership to another family member, however, when he came to do it - he was refused2. Then he wanted to cancel the membership and cannot do it for a week! Last time manager has sent him to sales consultant to do it, but he was not able to cancel, and when my son returned to helpdesk, it appears that the manager has left meanwhile. Totally outrageous!

There isnt enough information about membership and amendment on their website. When reviewing group classes there were classes mostly during the day when most people work.

It had been a while since I stepped in a gym. I chose LA fitness over Gold’s because it seemed more cleaner based on past experience at another club than Gold’s which was where I used to go to. I was given a blue voucher for a free session with a trainer upon signing up for my membership. The sales associate Isaiah was laid back and cool. I had an appointment with L A (the trainer) given at no ask. He was nice over text prior and on my first day doing the fitness assessment and workout. He went over pricing with me but I let him know I would think it over. All the pricing would be more apparently if I waited and didn’t sign up for additional sessions right then and there on the spot. His whole attitude changed. He talked to me like I owed him a favor when I let him know I wasn’t interested at the time. I’ve had two trainers before in the past and never had luck because of unreliability from them. He asked me what I was going to do to meet my goals and I told him. He then talked down to me and said I was going to do what he told me not to like I was illiterate. I probably would’ve consider doing a few more sessions had he not been so persistent. It was just a turn off afterwards and discouraging. Nobody should leave a gym feeling like that, especially a new member. Might just go to another location in Austin even though it’s more further from where I live than this location.

Cons: it has outdated water fountains, newer locations have fountains with a water dispenser for bottles. The AB WHEELS have been MISSING for over a month.Pros: This location is never packed, AC is at a comfortable temperature, water is nice and hot in the shower, clean gym, Not too many dudes walking around the locker with their weiners out.

You should come check this place,the stuff is good,keep clean keep safe,the trainer was very patient and profession!

This place is awesome!! I always look forward to going to LA Fitness!! I never signed up for a trainer though, I just do my own thing! No way do you want a contract! Other than that wonderful. I just pay 34 a month and can go to any LA Fitness I am near. I do have fee once a year for almost $60 taken though.

Pool is nice and clean, this place would have gotten a 5 star is they had a sauna, hot tub and a water fountain in the pool area.

Brand new LA Fitness. They have state-of-the-art equipment and offer 25 to 50 classes per week! CLEAN!!!

I love this location. The setup and openess is great!! Here is one of my concerns. I walk in and they didnt even check my temperature or anyone elses temp. This is concerning. I appreciate the sanitize bottles which is provide as option to use to clean before or after using equipment. It kinda defeats the purpose if you not checking temperature. I seen the other locations have been checking temperatures, so I dont understand why this location isnt being consistent with the process.

I highly recommend this LA Fitness location in RR. I have been using this location for over a year now. This location deserve an award for cleaningness, and very friendly staff. I forgot to wear mask one day and I was provided one by receptionist. Weights are always racked up and many choices of Elliptical machines, Stationary bike, Treadmills and much more..

Pricey! But it has great swim lessons that are organized by Round Rock recreation.

The gym and staff are nice. This is not about the location, equipment or staff. I am irritated because I wanted to cancel my gym membership because I am switching to CrossFit for a while. I have a LA Fitness membership because it’s 3 minutes from my house and a Golds membership because a lot of my friends go there. I decided I wanted to cancel both of my gym memberships while I tried CrossFit. There is a likelihood I will get another membership eventually. When I tried to cancel my membership with LA, they make you snail mail a cancellation form to California corporate. They refuse to do it in the gym. When I canceled Golds, they were did it immediately and were very polite about it. Long story short, when I do get another membership, it will be with Golds only because they didn’t make me mail in bs letter. Great move. Now you lost me for life and I can almost guarantee I would have come back because of the convenience.

DO NOT, DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES SIGN UP FOR A PERSONAL TRAINER!!!!The dude Andrew totally misrepresented what I was signing up for. Lead me to believe the personal training sessions would be a hour. THEYRE NOT! Only 25 minutes if even that and then the trainer disappears. He was telling me how involved he would be. Left the next day.The fee for a 25 minute training session twice a week runs at 360 dollars a month. They have me locked into a 6 month contract and they wont release me unless I pay 50% of the remaining balance.I wanted to opt out after 3 weeks when it dawned on me what a scam it was. I wouldnt get out of bed for this now even if it were free. It is like going to a fitness funeral (for 22 minutes).Please do not fall for this. Total Con Artists.The trainers seem depressed. They most likely treat them with the same level of disrespect as they have shown me. Its all rather sad.Anyone else suffering from the same experience please post. If we can save one person from falling for this Scam it will be worth it.I am reporting to the Better Business Bureau Monday.

I guess they dont care about your safety. They do temp checks cool, they have signs that require masks in gym but no one wears them really or enforces them. Its frustrating when youre following the rules and see everyone not doing the same. Come on LA Fitness I dont want to see the gyms close againDo your part. Nice place management seems very inexperienced!

The facility is nice. Worth the money. Really annoyed that they shortened the operating hours at the Round Rock location like right after I signed up. Went from being open till 10pm every day and 9pm on the weekends to 9pm weekdays and only 6pm on Sat-Sun.. every other location is open until 10pm, except the one I signed up for. Increase the hours again, and Ill increase my rating.

This place is a joke - I am being charged over 360 dollars a month for a personal trainer - that does not exist and that I cannot meet with. They started charging me again June 5 and again July 7 - they will not stop charging me, I dont have a personal trainer anymore - I could go get a new one and wear a mask the whole time which is asinine. DO NOT JOIN THIS GYM - you will be sorry

The club is really clean for a gym! Always seeing someone sweep something up or wiping machines down. Equipment is pretty new and in great condition. Lots of natural light. High ceilings. It’s a nice place to work out!

I love this LA Fitness, the gym is always clean and everyone there is dedicated to fitness. The team members there are super positive and always smile. Amiel was super helpful when explaining my options at the gym and he gave me the best value. I appreciated the time he took to show me the club. 10/10 service. In town for a week, visiting from Minnesota. Swung through the LA Fitness here for a quick workout. Very impressed! Clean equipment, sufficient amount of machines and free weights, nice layout, friendly staff. Will definitely be coming back here the rest of the week.

Ive been a member for a few months now, and the experience has been great. The staff are always available to talk to and ask questions, the gym is large with readily available equipment, and I think what makes the gym great are the people. Just the other day I showed up alone to do full body and I ended up teaming up with another member. It was great, and thats not the first time Ive ended up working out with someone at random. Great people, great place to shed some pounds and find out of shape people like me strutting with pride alongside some seriously fit people who encourage me and continue to let me feel like Im the best me every day! Highly recommend checking this place out.

I have been to several other LA fitness around the country, but this is the only one that doesnt have Sauna and the pool is always occupied by some swimschool.People just dont come to lift weight!!!!!!!I strongly request their management team to add Sauna.

They used to be an ok gym. It gets worse and worse every time that they change the trainers and management. The harassment is unstoppable. They cannot see any females working out that they come either hit on them or try to sale training section. They do not know how to respect If someone is working out with their headphones on. They will literally stare at you and wait until you get your headphones off to talk to you. Not to mention that the girls shower is disgusting, when equipments break it takes forever to be replaced and we just got informed that now they close at 9pm because there’s not enough people working out. As there were at least 10 people at the gym! Where’s the notice for the change? Why didn’t the speakers go on saying that the gym is about to close?! This gym is honestly becoming a joke!

This place doesnt enforce face coverings. 90% of people dont wear it while in the gym, and the governors order means nothing to them and to the management. If safety matters, everyone not wearing a face cover must be fined and even prosecuted... Texas hospitals are full already

I came to Texas on vacation from England and wanted a gym to work out in . I couldn’t have chosen a better gym it’s modern, the facilities are totally amazing putting out British gyms to shame. But more than anything the customer service is first class . The staff greet you with a smile on their face and a special mention for Amiel who is helpful, generous with his time and nothing I asked was to much trouble for him - a great asset to the company. So far so good. Im new here so my review might change. Its expensive to get started with one of the highest joining fees Ive seen ($175) plus first and last month ($80 for two adults). Child care is $10 more IF you pay the whole year in advance so thats another $120. They have a pool with lanes, showers, locker rooms, small lockers out front of you just need to secure keys and a wallet. They are talking about hot yoga and a jazzercise type thing was going on. I saw a set up for a spin class and an area for stretching. Tons of cardio machines, quite a bit of weights but still had to complete for the cables. The only thing I see as an issue right now is the hours. Child care doesnt start until 5 so I cant get in a few minutes early to beat the rush. They are also close at 9 or 10 depending on the day so no late night I cant sleep so Ill work out for a bit runs.The locker rooms are nice but you have to cut though to go to the bathroom and to the pool which leads to more traffic than I like when changing, my wife noted the same thing.At this point the high cost to join is my main issue with hours being second.

Decent gym facility wise. Always empty and always slow. Ideal for individual workouts. Trainers look miserable, then again I would be too at making $6 per 30 min session serviced. PTC’s need to stop lying about it taking a full year to get in shape that’s not actually true. The swimming pool keeps advertising a “British swim school” but doesn’t employ anyone actually from the United Kingdom to instruct swimming. Kinda racist

I have to say that all the negative stories I read about being hassled to cancel a membership proved to be false today. I asked to cancel, she said ok, and in 5 minutes had a printout, a cheery smile and instructions on how much time I had left and to have a good day. I greeted them with a smile and they left me with one. Easy.

I’m a Chiropractor at The Joint in the same strip center as this gym so it real convenient for me. It’s clean and the staff is great. My wife uses the personal training there and loves it.

I’ve been going to La Fitness Round Rock for over 4 months, the customer service and environment is very welcoming. They greet you every time you come in and there’s always a manager present. Amiel has helped me in my ways with signing up and gave me the best membership option I highly recommend signing up with this gym especially with Amiel!! 5 stars!

#RUDE Highly disrespectful employee named Ivan and Manager. I wouldnt join this fitness place even if they paid me. Save your money and go to Orange Therapy Fitness, they are better, friendlier and less expensive. Maybe Ivan and his manager should attend sensitivity training because they were extremely unnecessarily nonhelpful to a lady.

The sales team is beyond incompetent at this location. I was directed to a sales member expecting to get a tour of the location and discuss memberships. Instead, I was treated rudely by what she referred herself as the GM of the gym. At first I came in and the girl in the front told me i needed to speak to sales. I could see the sales staff on the back of the desk as they have a clear window. I saw a woman who was clearly more invested in her cell phone than her own job and after sharing looks back and forth she finally had the decency to approach me and ask me what I wanted. The whole time I felt as if I was bothering her trying to BUY A MEMBERSHIP FROM HER. She was rude, did not answer some of my questions and basically rushed the process so I left very disappointed. They offered me a free pass but I turned it down because of how unprofessional their GM is. I recently moved to Round Rock from San Angelo and this gym is 3 minutes from where I live. Thanks to their rudeness and unprofessionalism, I was able to find another gym where they actually have an interest in you. I cannot believe a general manager could even be at that level when they are nothing but incompetent and have no professional manners.

This location is newer and that within itself is an advantage!. The equipment is more presentable and the place is less crowded than others.. the staff is canceled and obsolete like other locations.. theyre just on there phones and knocking off (I guess thats to be expected with a younger staff). I feel its worth the extra 4 miles to get to this location versus the one I pass up on the way.. Im hopefull this chain (LA Fitness) decides to stay open 24 hours and offer towel service at all there loctions someday!.

Best gym I have ever been to. Shoutout to the director Sean for a great ethic and effort to create the atmosphere.The culture there is great and patrons are very happy to share space. Everyone watches out for one another so we dont leave stuff behind, sometimes you get a volunteer spotter, etc. No weird smells, clean lockers and locker room, and they promote a overall healthy clean gym.Santizer stations and wipes are provided throughout the facilty and patrons are encouraged to wipe down equipment after use. They also have staff cleaning constantly.The layout is great and makes total sense. I wish their freeweight area was just a little bigger, with a couple extra benches for bench press/incline press. They fill up quickly and tend to be hung up by groups at a time. There is a smaller person training space as well, different machines than the rest of the facility, and can be used by those who dont much like crowds when it is busy.I have been training here for 3 months now with now Masted Trainer Angel, and he is insanely skilled. In three months ive gone from overweight and zero muscle to in shape and muscle mass i never even reached in high school/college during cross country and track. The trainers take their clients goals very seriously. Wether you are just trying to be more active and loss a little weight or training to be a firefighter like i am, they can help you and make it fun to actually go to the gym.I was never a gym guy.Now im in there 3 to 4 days a week, and miss it if I cant go.I just wish it had more extended hours.I work 6am-6pm 12 hr shifts. On work days, by the time i get home or the time they open up in the morning, its too late for me to get in a workout.Im sure that will come when the membership fills up more!

The personal trainers are extremely pushy! Stay far away! Will be switching gyms. You guys need to learn how to be respectful.

Would not recommend this gym. Once agin a class was Canceled. Last few weeks they have taken a well liked teacher and put her in another gym although scheduled for this gym. That is just one problem I have with this gym. Not worth the money. Look wlsewhere!

This is a great gym with an awesome staff and state-of-the-art equipment! If youre not a fan of the machines or weights, they offer a variety of fitness classes to keep you satisfied. Jazzie Ds Power Circuit and Body Works classes are excellent for cardio and sculpting. If you want to take your fitness goals to the next level, this location has superb Personal Trainers. Master Trainer, Devante, has worked with me for two months and I have seen significant results that I would not have gotten on my own because I dont challenge myself the way he does. I used to dread going to the gym, now I cant stop and I look forward to it.

La Fitness has always been the same kind of business. Ever since I encountered my first one almost 2 decades ago, things have always been the same: theyre the upscale, too clean to look like a real gym, probably too expensive if you care about money type of establishment. So unless you have money to waste, I would choose any of the other gyms in the area over this one, especially since you cant really be upscale in the dump ghetto that is this section of Round Rock.The building itself has all the regular amenities a gym has. A basketball court. A swimming pool. Kids place (though their hours are horrendous, and it defeats the purpose of why you would need daycare in the first place).The place lacks two things: a sauna.And, more importantly, there is no variety of Fitness Apparatus. So, there are no :-Kettle bells-Slam balls-Ab straps-Ab wheels-Ankle straps-Hex barbells-Elastic bands-Medicine balls-TRX-Agility laddersThere should be no question when you come here that all these people are after is your money, thus, they dont actually care about you reaching your goals and the equipment and support you need to do that.

Gym is still practically new and in great condition. Current staff is pleasant and friendly. However this location has no sauna, no smoothie bar, and no hot tub, as well as lacks many weight machines that are found in other LAs in the area. The Personal Training area at this location is in an enclosed room holding a lot of equipment that makes LA worth the money vs a $20 membership at PF. So the kettle bells, battle ropes, TRX bands, Agility ladder, variety of medicine balls (only 3 for public use usually) are all not accessible unless you pay for their Personal Trainers. Other LAs have this equipment accessible to the general members, however not this location. So all the equipment is essentially like a cheap gym membership just twice as much. This location has no perks besides being new and nice locker rooms but again no sauna. Oh and it has the nice water fountains... but that’s about it. Disappointed with this gym since it’s brand new and lacks a lot of the key features that you sign up with LA for.

Worst customer experience ever ... all the reviews say that ... and it is true. At 105 degrees outside they made it impossible for my daughter visiting from Chicago to use the facility. First we had to drive back home to get her ID although the guest pass was emailed to her and was on her personal phone. Then when we came back she had to listen to their presentation. We told them she already listened to the presentation when she was visiting before. They said in that case she cannot have a second VIP pass which is not true because the previous one was issued more than 6 months ago and the LA fitness app did issue her pass. The only reason she went there was because it was TOO hot to run outside. I was very disappointed and canceled my membership...

Nice place, but kids overdo their work outs. People slam light-weight like they are in a strongman competition.
