Great service, been going for a long time, but their customer service was exceptional enough today to warrant a review. Went in for a standard suit cleaning, was notified it was done earlier than expected via text message. The suit went in with a missing pants button that I intended to sew myself after being washed. Without asking, they replaced the button and still kept to the normal turnaround time!

Did not get my cleaning back on time and the manager threatened to call the police when I complained. Call me a loser. I had to go out and buy a new suit for my interview.

I need to qualify this statement with the following: I have been a customer of Jack Brown Cleaners for over 5 years with minor issues that were quickly resolved. I have been spending roughly $30/week for the past 5 years. I had been so pleased that when they closed the Pfluggerville store, I moved my business to the next closest store in Round Rock. (There are many options available to me between my house in Manor and Round Rock but I believe loyalty goes a long way) Hindsight now tells me that it may have been more cost effective for me to change cleaners before the incident and I might still have my 5 destroyed Polos worth over $250.On my birthday, 26Oct16, I dropped off 9 shirts for laundering like I do every week. On 31Oct16, I went to pick them up and brought them home. When I went to put one on, I noticed that the sleeves had been stretched to the point that the elastic had been destroyed. This only happened on 5 of the 9 shirts. That afternoon to took the shirts back to the RR store and showed the young man behind the counter, he then told me that Roslyn would give me a call in the morning regarding the damaged shirts. True to form Roslyn called and what she said stunned me. We informed you years ago that we recommended these polos be dry cleaned because they would be damaged if not. So basically it is my fault that these shirts are damaged (my words not hers). WHAT??!! The only time I recall being told of possible damage to my shirts is I have 2 button up shirts that have plastic pocket zippers and they might get damaged by the heat of the press. I said I would accept that risk and never unzip them that way if they got damaged the pocket would be closed already. But that is the only time I was told anything about damage to my shirts. (Note: I like Roslyn and I have known her for years and I am confident that she is the messenger of this stance.) I never signed a waiver of any kind telling me my shirts could be destroyed. (I will attempt to attach photos showing damage)I am out 2 custom embroidered US Navy Shirts (happy Veterans Day, Huh?), one Aggie Polo, a Polo for a Program I worked on given to me as a award that cant be replaced, and a Cleveland Indians polo that I last wore when they went to the WS in 1997. Out of pocket over $225 for those that I can replace.I took the shirts to another cleaners and asked how this could have happened and the response was neglect. It is believed they were forced to the breaking point on the press. Since it only happened to 5 of the 9 shirts it is my belief the operator was either corrected or replaced after 5. Jack Brown has lost my future business and I am sorry that I have given them over $7000 since we started doing business.Everyone makes mistakes. It is how you correct them that sets you apart. I work Customer service on Multi-million dollar programs for the US Gov and never would I treat a loyal customer in this manner for a couple of hundred dollars. I recommend never doing business them. I asked Roslyn to have her supervisor give me a call so I could hear it from his mouth that they were not going to replace my shirts and it has been over 2 weeks with no contact and I have no reason to believe that she didn’t pass on the message. I guess I have received his answer. Buyer Beware

To: Paul Brown - PresidentI would like to share a unpleasant experience I encountered at your 1200 Gattis School road location. Someone, who identified herself as the store manager treated me as if i was a idiot and came short of calling me a liar. I am attending my grandmothers 90th birthday in Florence Alabama this Saturday June 28th, I dropped off a white 2 piece suit purchased 6months ago for this occasion and an off-white suit purchased a year ago with a slight makeup stain in the back of the coat. Both items were in a laundry bag, when I picked up the garments I noticed the stain was not removed, I showed the stain to the ladies I dropped the garment off with. I also noticed a small sized hole that was not in my clothing since I was looking for stains when I dropped off the item with the ladies. When I showed the young lady yesterday, Tuesday 24th, she was apologetic, polite and set the expectation that here manager will fix the problem or make restitution. I was upset but mistakes happen and she did explain the laundry was sent off to another company that cleaned the clothing. Her manager did not call in the specified time provided, when the store manager did call she had a lackadaisy attitude and pointed out she knew more about here job than I did. I did not say she did not, I felt challenged, belittled, and when I asked a question for better understanding she questioned me and my integrity with her statement how could there be a stain if it was in a laundry bag? That was an insult, I do not know and then she statedlaundry bags dont mean anything and I have been doing this job for xxx amount of years. Wow this was a slap in the face.I have been a Department Manager of a group at the Sears call center in Round Rock for 17years, I am familiar with customer service, what your associate displayed last night when I pick up my dry cleaning was good customer service skills with an upset customer. She professional, she set expectations and may have gone outside her authority with promise of restitution, but I was disappointed, I was promised a call from her manager within 30-45minutes, I waited several hours and decided again my expectations would not be met. Then I was greeted by this manager this morning, with a lackadaisy attitude, an explanation about moth damage in a 4 yr old house, and these suits in a laundry bag and I still did not get a better understanding of how this could have occurred since I was talked over and not provided an opportunity to be heard or understood. This mad me a little upset. The suits, the non call last night, the explanation and the questioning my integrity really got me to the point I had to reach out and contact upper management. This attitude and disregard for the customer, I know more about dry cleaning which is true, has me ready to post this to all media streams, I had a choice between Comet, Star-Brite and Jack Brown dry cleaners, I went with a familiar name.I have not needed to used a dry cleaner for 25yrs, with the experience I received, I DO NOT expect to use your service again if this is how your customers are treated.
