They worked around our busy schedule and even offered to pick up the car. They were faster with repairs than we could have ever expected. Thanks to them we have AC for the hot Texas summer. Robert has been fixing our familys ACs for years and just gave us working AC in my Pilot in time for the Texas summer. Replaced the compressor for a fair price, and within just a few days.

Just wow! They fixed my Yukon fast and cheaper than I expected. It had been at another shop for two weeks before I got feed up and took to AC Authority. I called and spoke with Sandy who told me to bring it right over, really? I got there and Joel took my keys and came back a few minutes later with a description of the problem and an estimate for the repair. It had a broken wire leading to the compresser. The last shop replaced the compresser and the control switches and still could not figure out why it still would not work. Joel had it fixed in about 20 minutes and charged me 67.50 for figuring it out and repairing. Last shop got me for over 1200 and did not fix it. The other shop had it for 2 weeks and Joel fixed it in less than an hour! I will use them in the future if I ever need other repairs. They have made a life long customer and I highly recommend them to anyone needing a good shop. Great customer service experience A+++++++++.

Regardless of what the issue may be, theyll get it figured out. Most of the shops I talked to wouldnt mess with these AC systems, but Robert and then took it on for the vehicles we have and got the job done. Robert, I appreciate the help and technical knowledge that you and your staff possess.

Im only giving one star because the staff was nice. I took my car to A C Authority to have my A/C checked. I was told I needed to replace the compressor and the A/C condenser, which in total would cost me $1554. Because of the outrageous amount, I took my car to another shop for a diagnostic. The shop informed me the compressor did not need to be replaced, just the relay part. In total, $169. A big difference from $1554. As a reviewer said, they seem honest, but will try to bait you. I do not recommend this place.

Got their doors locked on em for not paying rent, and didn’t let a single customer know. Cars left in the garage, appointments left open with ppl showing up to a locked door. Extremely unprofessional. Let’s hope this one stays closed and they don’t get the chance to open another business.

I showed up without an appointment, they checked out my car for free. I thought it needed a major repair. Robert was extremely knowledgeable as he knew a common a/cproblem with my make and model my mechanic couldnt figure out. Super inexpensive repair, I was back on the road in an hour or so. Still blowing ice cold air, good guys!

Robert has always been a helping hand for over 30 years for me. Back when I was a younger whipper snapper he would always share his knowledge with me. For that I’m very thankful. You just don’t find people willing to help people often. If you need AC work. Give him a call. He is also pretty capable of things he doesn’t lost. So dint hesitate to ask. Been there twice, first time work was good and second time neither work nor price was right. Ultimately very sketched out by these guys. They seem honest when you talk to them then they try to bait and switch on the price and charge you for labor not performed. Would not recommend. Not going back.

I really cannot praise these guys enough! The dealer had my car for three days trying to find a leak. One of the local tire shops had it another day and a half trying to locate the leak. Each shop charged me their checking fee of $150 at one and 199.00 at the dealer. I called AC Authority and the owner told me if my car is leaking, he will find it. I asked if I could bring it over and he said yes, but, I may have to wait as there were two or three people waiting then. When I arrived I was told there might be an hour or so wait. The lead mechanic, Paul, pulled my car in and within 10 minutes came in and took me to my car to show me the leak! Robert said he would email me an estimate in a little while so that I would not have to wait around any longer. I pulled out my credit card to pay for the service, and he said, checks are FREE, what? He sent the estimate as promised and fix my condenser yesterday for less than 500.00 bucks. My car is ice cold again! 3 year warranty too! GOD BLESS YOU!!!

Went there when car started making loud noise when i turned the ac on. The guy was nice and helped diagnose exactly what the problem was but while he waa in his office making up the quote for me i looked up the replacement job on youtube. He came back offering $250+ for parts and $187 for labor and said it would be a 2 hour job. I took the quote and left, i boufht the part on amazon for $66 with a $6 dollar 3 year warranty and replaced it myself in 10 minuets....

Went in to get info on my AC system. Was told the 134a conversion was already done & was low. After looking for the leak, the guy topped off the system, even after I told him I had no $$ till next week.Honest business. I have been driving my car around the Austin area since February without A/C. I just couldnt take it anymore, so I decided to bite the bullet and take it in to a mechanic with the hope it wouldt break my bank.From the first phone call to my appointment, it was all very easy and pleasant. There was no up front cost for them to look at it and he didnt charge for plugging the a/c back into working order. He even secured it so it didnt come undone again.Ive only taken this car to one other mechanic over the last 2 years who charged me $150 just to look at it each time... and EVERYTHING was charged out. It feels REALLY GOOD to find a business you can trust.I will definitely be taking my ol girl back there for all her maintenance needs. Im so glad I found you guys.Roni B.

I have finally found a trust worthy repair shop! I had taken my 2007 Ford F150 pickup truck to four different shops because it had a check engine light on and failed emissions testing. The first shop replaced the oxygen sensors and assured me that the problem was solved. I was driving to the inspection place when the light came back on. I went to another shop and they replaced the temperature sensor. Again I was promised the problem was solved. The light came right back on.The third shop replaced two fuel injectors and cleaned the valve body. Again the light came right back on. The fourth shop told me I needed to replace a throttle position switch? I think you probably know by now the light came back on.Each time I went back to the four shops they all wanted to charge me again to diagnose the light problem even though I had already paid them and they failed to fix it. Their diagnostic prices ranged from 95 to 125 dollars. I refused to pay again and left. I will never go back to any of those shops.A friend told me about Robert More at A/C Authority, and said they are a reputable shop and have always fixed his car the first go around.I called Robert for an appointment and he told me I could come in anytime, no appointment needed!When I got there I was really surprised and impressed with the professionalism of the staff. The shop was the cleanest I have seen in a long time, (hey, its an auto repair shop, not a dentists office).They have a large waiting room, big screen TV and free wifi.I asked Robert how much it was going to cost to have my trucks engine light code checked out and he told me he wouldnt charge me anything for the computer scan. Are you kidding me I said? I have already spent four hundred dollars having the other shops diagnose my truck, not to mention what I paid for parts and labor for the un-needed repairs.The service manger Paul pulled my truck into the shop and came back a few minutes later and told me the computer had an emissions code that showed some kind of leak. He said it was really a common problem with Fords and told me to replace the fuel cap. What? They called the parts place and had one delivered and installed on my truck within about 20 minutes.The whole thing took less than a half hour and cost me about 20 bucks for a fuel cap.That was just before summer and about 7 months ago. The truck passed emissins testing and the light has not come back on!Im sold on the guys at A/C Authority and will bring my cars to them from now on. They are by far the best shop I have ever been to. Happy happy joy joy!

Fixed my van up with a master switch for the ac for $300, worth it.

I called them to inquired my car Air Conditioner repair. The lady said that someone will get back to me. I waited till the end of the day but no one has gotten back to me. I guess they dont need anymore customer.
