I had a large tree project, quoted job with more than one company. Luckily I had the good fortune to have Redfern sales Rep (Fred S.) come take a look. What I enjoyed was his honest effort to find solution to tree removal to get everything done at cost we could afford. Every other service just threw numbers at me and pressed to close the sale. Thank you Fred.Once the project started the crew (Jorge & the guys), office staff (Emma) and owner (Ajsa) were all Awesome at keeping things on track!All the primary trees were handled and some extra work was completed. Our job was based on day rate for the amount of time likely to finish. They were great, the house is much safer. Still have more work to do and I will be calling Redfern Tree Service again when ready.

My experience with Redfern was seamless. The questions that I had and the qualms that I had regarding a tree removal service disappeared when I used Redfern. It was amazing to watch the climber (Luis), and the coordination of the tree removal. They cleaned up the yard beautifully and were very efficient and always on time. I would never use any other service.

I used this tree service for many years, but when I had a dangerous emergency situation they said they were too busy to help me. Additionally, when they did work for me previously, they were always sloppy and typically tore up my front yard. I will never use them again and I do not recommend them. I have since found a much better tree service.

I had nine large pines and one maple removed. Also trimmed back other tress that were touching the house. The price for removing these 10 large trees and trimming was less then any other tree service I checked. The crew was able to cut down all 10 trees and do the trimming in one day, but since it was getting dark they had had to come back the next day to remove the large logs and general clean up. On the second day they were here for about 2 hours and the clean-up was PRISTINE.The crew was very careful when dropping the branches and the trunk sections and it was fascinating to watch them work. Unfortunately there was some damage to a basketball hoop in the back yard and the company took care of the problem very quickly without any hassles. I highly recommend this group for both the price and professionalism of the crew and management..

We have used Redfern for many years. The very large oak that their crew removed yesterday was within 5 feet of our house, on a very small lot, and included numerous above ground lines for utilities stretched within 25 feet of the tree. Redfern is the only service we would trust with such a tedious job. I assumed that the project would take at least 2 days. A crew of 8 skilled workers arrived at 9am and the tree was completely gone by 6pm without incident. The team worked quickly and in a well coordinated effort. I have to say though - it was the energy and positive attitudes of the workers that was most impressive. Thanks to all of you!

Redfern Tree Service did a GREAT job for us! This is our second time using them. The first was a simple tree trimming, but their visit last week was far more challenging. Azurs team was professional, punctual, and respectful. They arrived with everything they needed. It was not an easy job. A massive limb had snapped and was in my neighbors yard while still attached to the tree. Luis, the team lead, was able to manage removal of the hanging limb, the damaged tree, and a second overgrown tree without any damage to our fences. They used plywood to protect my yard from their mini-tractor contraption that carried the debris and heavy pieces of trunk to the wood chipper. The price was REALLY good especially for the level of professionalism and experience. The next time I need any tree service I wont even bother with getting any other quotes. I called twice, they finally came out to evaluate trees, promised to send quote via email...that was end of Nov. I called twice to check on quote...last call for quote was 01/04/21...Still havent received quote. I was utilizing this company because they handled my neighbors trees. Not dependable from my perspective.

Great job! They removed two very tall pine trees and branches of other trees that were hanging over our roof. Clean-up and removal wasnt easy because of the terrain and other landscaping but they handled it well. Logs and branches were left on our curb overnight but were removed early the next day..

Redfern took down a very tall, top-heavy pine tree that was precariously leaning toward the house. They did a fantastic job, with no damage to the lawn or nearby shrubbery, and they carefully replaced everything they had to move back to its exact location.

Please do yourself a favor and look elsewhere for any tree service work! Redfern was a huge disappointment and was way overpriced!I made the mistake by hiring them to take down 8 trees on my property. I had to terminate the job after the first day and have another company finish it. Redfern showed zero respect for my property when they were taking down the trees and when operating their equipment. For example, a small area of my property was a bit damp which easily could have been avoided. But instead of avoiding the area or using protective boards when driving there, they were using it as a ‘playground’ with their bobcat and turned the area into a huge mud pit. I brought this up with the owner (Azur) who immediately (without even seeing any of the damages) refused to admit any wrongdoing and did not even offer to come out and look at the damages or to perform any repairs. I was so shocked by his attitude and he left me with no other option than to terminate the job and have another company take down the remaining trees.- Overpriced – they were 30% more expensive than some of their competitors (which were also were fully insured)- Poor communication – no upfront communication when the crew was going to show up- Horrible customer service – the owner refused to admit any wrongdoing and to do things right- Poor workmanship – the crew caused damages to my property and left debris and other trash behind

They are probably OK if you dont have any issues. However, the owner is not good at handling challenges. I have used a different company in the past and I will return to them for any future jobs.

Redfern was able to fit us into their busy schedule, despite all of the rain we had received. They were able to remove a large Maple with no damage to any property or fencing in the space.The stump grinding was delayed due to weather, but did a great job once they were able to safely remove the reaming stump on a hard to find dry day.We have been using Redfern for many years and will continue to use.

Had a 9-10 am appointment set up for today. Have not heard from them nor did anyone show up. Have called 3 times left message with no response.

My experience with this company was terrible. I called and set up an appointment to have a quote provided for some trees in my backyard with the secretary. She provided a confirmation through text and told me to expect a specialist to come out on the agreed day between 2 and 4. They would call when they were on the way. On the day of the appointment I realize that it’s 3 pm and I haven’t heard anything so I text the attendant who noted my appointment date and time to confirm that the appointment is still scheduled. She responds and tells me “I see here that you were on the schedule but I just asked the owner who is going out to do that estimate and he said we no longer serve Smyrna area he said it’s too far for us and it doesn’t pay off I’m sorry I had no idea until now”. Thanks Emma for the heads up on the day of it’s a shame you didn’t know the areas the company you work for services. Who cares about the fact that I’ve taken off work to accommodate for this appointment, my time doesn’t matter right? I’m happy I decided to reach out before wasting anymore of my time with these people. They clearly value customers or care about their time. Do yourself a favor and don’t waste your time or money with this company.

I have use Redfern Tree Seevice for a number of years to both prune trees and to remove trees. They are always on time, efficient and thoroughly clean up. What I especially like is their estimating process. Unlike other companies who come out and tell you “this job will cost $1000 but if you do it today, it will only cost $850”… Redfern simply says “this job will cost you $800 and I will send you a document that details the cost along with our certificates of insurance”. I have compared quotes with other companies time and again and RedFern gets my business because they have fair and reasonable prices, upfront quoting and they do a great job.

Saving is good, but if I have to pay a little more just to get good service, I definitely would. This is the reason why I prefer the service that they provide because they made sure that the tree I asked them to trim was safe and secure. I needed to have some trees trimmed, so I called this firm and I have to say, they exceeded my expectations. The tree was trimmed and it was also secured! There’s no way I would get rid of the tree now. They gave me an estimate of the price, but the actual price was slightly higher. We had used them several years ago and were very pleased and thought we would try them again. Totally different story. Scheduled them to come out to give us an estimate (we were not going to be home but were going to mark the trees we needed taken down) - they came out to do the estimate a day early so we had not marked the two trees yet. We never received an estimate of any kind....tried to get them to come back out and quote us on two trees....had to wait a couple of weeks. They were supposed to come out today - no one showed up. We figured that if it is this difficult to just get an estimate, we are going to go with someone else who wants our business, shows up when they are supposed to, will give us the quote we need, etc.

One of the best professional crew that were very careful throughout all the trees removal operations by making sure safety of their own crew members as well as making sure underlying ground and surroundings shrubs, fence, deck & building are protected from potential damages all the time and as well by laying plywood sheets on the ground so that heavy equipment’s movements will not damage underlying grass and ground. This is an unsolicited review for an exceptional company. My husband and I have been clients of Redfern Tree Service for twenty years! We recently needed their services to remove three enormous sweet gum trees that were leaning toward our home in the front and two trees leaning toward our home in the back. From work they’ve done for us in the past, I knew they’d be great, but they continue to amaze me.Azur, one of the owners, came to our home to discuss the tree removal and the pruning of at least fifteen other trees. Katrina (office manager) emailed us a professional contract detailing everything we agreed upon with the price of each tree. Best of all, on the day the work started, Azur showed up (like he said he would) and went over every detail that needed to be done with Juan, his crew foreman (Juan has the magic touch cutting down and pruning trees).Redfern doesn’t chop and drop. They CAREFULLY remove limbs one at a time and then lower them with a rope. They use state of the art equipment including a bucket lifter that lifts up as high as 90 feet! When they cut the tree trunk down in sections, it’s immediately picked up with a bobcat and taken to the street where it’s promptly placed in a truck. Nothing sat on our yard or made one indentation on the lawn. We have expensive plants in our pine beds below all our trees and we didn’t lose a single plant!When I went out back, I caught a glimpse of Juan up in his bucket above our rooftop taking extra time to blow debris out of our gutters! We used this tree service last year to take care of some branches that were too close to the house. They were professional, friendly, and prompt. They were a bit on the pricey side compared to others, but I would use them again.

I had a very pleasant experience with Redfern Tree Inc. Azur gave me a quote that was competitive, and once I proceeded, they got started it 3 days later. The crew were all very polite and extremely hard workers. We had 12 trees taken down. Most of them were nice sized hardwood trees, 3 of which were close to our house or nieghbors. It is hard to find a company that has pride in what they do. Azur and his company do take pride in what they do.

Red flag #1: I called on a Thursday and received a call back on the following Monday. I was told someone would be by the next day to estimate the job.Red flag #2: the lady on the phone told me word for word we are a big company so we are kind of expensiveRed flag #3: No one ever showed up or called to say they wouldnt be coming. Its been 2 weeks and there has still been no follow up by the company.Someone dropped the ball somewhere which is why they get 2 stars, if they cant schedule an estimate correctly Im not sure they can do the job correctly.

After receiving quotes from 3 different companies, I went with RedFern and Im happy with my decision. Azur and Ajsa were a pleasure to work with. Azur came onsite for my quote and was professional. He brought a copy of their insurance policy as proof of their coverage and numerous references. He was never once aggressive or pushy about trying to get me remove more trees than originally planned. Ajsa was very responsive in emailing and calling me with any follow up questions I had. On the day of the job, the team was courteous and careful for the most part. We did unfortunately lose a big limb on a magnolia tree during the process but they trimmed the area to remedy the situation. The front yard was cleaned up nicely after they completed their work. If there was a half option, I would give the company 4.5 stars.

I used Redfern Tree to remove a Japanese Maple and a Crabapple tree from my property. The Japanese Maple was planted to close to my house, and the roots were beginning to be a problem. The Crabapple tree was killing a portion of my lawn. So they had to be removed. While not the cheapest, Redfern Tree is very dependable; shows up on time, performs the task at hand, and cleans up all debris and carrys away the removed trees. I have also used Redfern at a previous home, removing several large pine trees. If you want a dependable and fairly priced tree removal company, you can not go wrong with Redfern.

Not impressed they just did a job on our little street and left a ton of mud on it. Plus now it stained my week old new driveway and all over our cars. Will see what Redfern does to rectify this.6/3/17 ~ after 2 calls nothing, no return call, no one came out to clean up.
