Ms. Sheena did a wonderful job on my nails for my traditional wedding. I told her what I was wearing, and she came up with this design. I absolutely love it! Im still getting compliments over them.

Absolutely phenomenal. Whether youre getting serviced or learning as a nail tech, Sheena truly provides impeccable service. Ive never been so satisfied with a class in the cosmetology world like I have with her. She is truly a gem. Im very meticulous and not at any point did she make me feel uncomfortable or like she was judgmental. She genuinely wants to help her clients and students. I could go on and on about how amazing she is! A great asset to the nail community in Maryland and a must-see for services also. I love her work and the atomosphere! Just a little feedback. A warning about wait time and chair time should be given. The owner puts a lot of time and effort into her work which makes this salon very different than your average walk-in mall nail salon. Other than the wait this is the only place that does my nails.

My appointment was at 6pm I arrive and 5:50 pm didnt get acknowledged until 6:30pm and serviced at 6:45. Left the shop after 9pm. Horrible nail job at Glam Institute In Rosedale, MD $102 and 24 hours later the gel polish peeled off. Nails were done on April 28th a Friday and she couldnt fox them until Thursday may 4th. I asked for a coral polish and she brought me gel polish charged extra with me knowing. Nickel and dime me for everything and then I had to pay someone else to fix this. Done by Sheena Smith the owner.

Sheena was very professional and down-to-earth I highly suggest that you call or you book with her online because she do not accept walk-ins she is a wonderful Nail Tech and I will be reaching out to her for maintenance on my set $115 well spent thank you

All of the nail techs are amazing! No matter who you go to you are in great hands. They are all very personable and make sure youre happy before you leave. My personal favorite is Kristen. We have great conversation and she gives amazing pedicures. The building is very cute, nice and quiet and a very nice atmosphere. Definitely never going anywhere else again!

I have gone to Sheena the owner of this nail service center for seven years and after a miscommunication of information I wrote a unfavorable review. Sheena is a wonderful artist and has a creative mind. Sheena happens to be an awesome listener and a feeler of people (customers). Most times I can sit at her station and without saying a word--she knows what to do. PEOPLE men and women enjoyed the visual of my nail art and I have never gotten an infection of any sort.I miss the personable assistant and special touches of a person taking appointments and the not given control over to a computer over money matters--but hey these are the times of technology. Ok. So I followed Sheena on IG because of the great work I saw on the page. At the time, she needed a hand model and mentioned in the post that it was free of charge. We booked a day which was for 10a. I had to be to work at 3 which I believed was plenty of time to have the service done and get to work on time. When I arrived, the nail tech didnt get there until around 11:30-12. This was a nail tech in training so I asked them to do the basic set that was free and Id pay for the designs. The designs came out to be $80. Yes I should have asked how much they would be prior to having them do it but Ive never in life paid 80 for designs. Well I was beyond blown away with the work so I didnt make a huge deal. Anyways. I ended up having to call out of work because of the amount of time it took to do my nails. I also noticed that people who had booked their appts were sitting for over an hour waiting to get their nails done. Well I disregarded that and thought maybe I happened to come on a bad day. The other day, I booked my appt online and opted to have an email sent to me with the confirmation day/time. It never came. So today I called to get confirmation of the appt and she said that she didnt have me on the schedule. Im like weird, but ok. Can I go ahead and book an appointment? Sheena tells me thats fine and asked whem could I come in. I asked when was her next available appointment. She tells me today at 6p. Im like cool. What info do you need from me?. So Sheena mentioned that I needed to put a deposit down to book the appointment. My response was ok. I need to go put money on my card, how much is the deposit She tells me she doesnt know. So I respond well how am I supposed to know how much to put on the card? She goes it depends on the services you want and idk what u want. i said I thought that thats what we were doing now Sheena says Your appointment may not be available when you call back at this point im confused. I believe the people who gave good reviews are her regular clients, people that she knows and or people that happened to go only once and went on a good day but other than that, the work is phenomenal. Just very unprofessional. If you dont mind waiting hours and hours and dealing with professionalism by all means check her out. But other than that, I cant! Good luck guys!!

Great experience for a first-timer when it comes to a nail salon! I was greeted with a warm greeting after going to another nail salon only to be turned away. So I went to Glam Institute and love love the atmosphere!!! My pedi and mani were great!! I will be referring all women I know who are frequent mani and pedi addicted to this wonderful establishment!!! I’m definitely heading back!!!

430 appointment ended after 830pm. My whole bday plans ruined because reseevations werent able to be kept. Nail bed is bruised and painful. Pinky nail was drilled down to a bloody point. Cuticles are cut up. Two days later, nails still hurt. Got the polygel set, Shawn did not build the nail as is possible to do and as requested since Ive done it on myself. The gel I used is a soak off but Shawn was admit that it wasnt and drilled it off while taking layers off my nail bed. Then she cut my natural nails super short and added tips to them. Gel was left all over my fingers and paint is bumpy. Then they charged my card $94.75 and provided no receipt all while deleting my appointment from Vagaro so it doesnt show. I requested an emailed or texted receipt and Shawn said itll be sent automatically 🙄. Nails arent all the same shape. They charge $20 for polish, $10 per shape.....never had this type of experience from a nail salon. They charge way too much. I wont ever go back to this place

First Id like to say that out of all the nail salons Ive visited in my years of living in Baltimore County, this shop is thee best! Sheena nailed me today and was worth every penny. Shes Artistic which is what I like. Ive learned that all things I may like may not always be what I need. Im from New Jersey and we are known for Duck square tips. She shaped me into coffin style Square for a more femenine look and to add length. I love it! I will be returning for more exciting surprises.I want to also shout out Sophia Celestine for the greatest pedi and massage Ive ever had. It took the stress away and made me very comfortable with her gentle touch. Great conversation and comfortable clean atmosphere. I AM SOOO SMITTEN!!! Sheena and all the ladies of Glam Institute Academy of Nail Technology are creative knowledgeable and fun! The atmosphere is relaxing clean and respectable! My nail care is as routine as waking up every day and Sheena has been my tech for years, its almost like when back in the day, getting a kitchen do (u know ladies), thats our herstory😀. Sheenas work was amazing then and even more so now, I literally saw the evolution take place! Listen dont just take my recommendation into consideration, book yourself and appt today and just relish in the attention u will receive from any and everybody who can appreciate real artistry and talent! I wish I would think about letting anyone else touch these nails...i know u betta dont!

I brought my sister in to get serviced for her wedding and the lady who did her toes said she couldnt do her nails because she was 10 minutes late....but mind you the lady wasnt there yet and my sister was let in the shop by the receptionist. The receptionist stated the lady wasnt there yet. It was awful the the lady that did my nails still hasnt returned my 35 dollars owed to me from services she didnt give my sister 😮 AWFUL PLACE PLEASE DONT WAIST YOUR 💰!!!!!!
