I stayed in a furnished suite for about 5 months. It was clean and comfortable. The complex was quiet and well maintained. I’d like to say thank you to management for being quick to respond when there was an issue. I received my security deposit a little over month after my departure. All in all it was a very good experience.

Wonderful place to stay! Have been staying here for almost a year. Incredible pricing, great service, great care, and the accommodations have been even better than expected. Great place in general. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Stayed here for a year. The prices are a bit high considering you dont get a real kitchen. Left due to noise and it was pretty easy to find cheaper and better apartment options. seems some of the tenants dont have jobs and therefore have the luxury of staying up all night and playing loud music. Besides that it could have been worse. The people who worked there were great for the most part.

BEWARE... DO NOT RENT FROM THIS PLACE! They do not refund the deposit! The employees are rude especially the current manager. The manager appeared to be high on something. The furniture is worn and dirty. There were bugs in the apartment. LET ME REPEAT, IF YOU WANT TO LOSE YOUR $400 DEPOSIT BE SURE TO RENT FROM THEM! Good Luck!

I stayed at Griffiss for 7 months. The apartment was in good condition upon arrival. I did like that it is located just outside main street of Rome and has alot of greenery surrounding the apt building. The Mohawk valley river trail is in jogging distance and is a nice trail. The nearby Air Force base is not active so you very rarely will hear a plane. Nikki in managment is helpful. Jay in maintenance is also helpful and always has a positive attitude. Overall positive experience.

Its a quiet place, but the rooms are small for two people. Dont get evicted. If you are evicted for ANY reason, you lose your security deposit. It doesnt matter if your rent is paid on time every month or not, you still dont get your security deposit back.

But we did not get our deposit returned. I have been in touch with the manager and have texts from her saying our deposit will be returned. It has been over a month and nothing. I have tried to reach out and now nothing. What ashame, I thought that place was nice and they were honest people. Boy, was we fooled..

Great Place! My son moved there, to do an internship for 1 year. We looked at many places (I am very particular), and found this one. It used to be part of the Griffiss Air Force Base. They have renovated it, looks fantastic, good people, on-site handyman. We got my son a furnished apartment, loves it! Secure doors, keyed entry. Professional people live here. Very close to everything you need in Rome, groceries, restaurants, fitness places, etc. Will not find a better place. He is in his 9th month. He likes it so much, he is considering coming back to Rome NY for another internship. Thanks Griffiss!

I stayed here for 3 months in 2015. Its pretty basic and understated. However, the rooms are very clean when you arrive, there is lots of space, and you will find extremely quiet surroundings. I was happy with my stay, and I would definitely recommend this place to others.

Do not rent from them unless your prepared to lose your deposit. I am filling a claim with NY state housing and taking legal action

DO NOT STAY HERE.. IT IS NOT SAFE... MY CAR WAS HIT by some ROGUE DRUG ADDICT...There is DRUG ACTIVITY all around the Property .. Its not SAFE AT ALL... ITS DARK AND COMPLETELY NASTY DIRTY....you WILL NEVER GET YOUR DEPOSIT BACK.. Ive been waiting 2 MONTHS and continue to get the run around.. DO NOT LET YOUR FAMILY OR KIDS going to MVCC STAY THERE....BEWARE>> NO GOOD..

Ive lived there for 4 years so very nice and secure building the apartments are spacious for single and couples they do not allow smoking in the building which is a plus and they do not allow pets the staff is very helpful youre kind of away from the Main Street so gives you a nice settings of be there security building cant say enough great place Ill stay there for a long long time

They were very slow refunding deposit and monies old after we left, but its not a bad place to stay.

It was a wonderful apartment complex to live in with very caring managers. However, you dont get much for your money and the prices have been steadily increasing the last few years; an unfinished 1 bedroom is now $150 more than it was 3 years ago, with less included.

Staying long term here, residents are very quiet in general, in good repair, only issue is no elevator, makes it a bit tough to move large furniture sometimes.

Very basic rooms. They are converted dorms from when the air force base was still operational. Water, heat, and electric is included... But all youll have for a kitchen will be a mini fridge and MAYBE a two burner hot plate.

Very quiet part of rome which is very nice and nice environment. Pool table, air hockey, computers and tvs in the main lobby that are all free to use. Love that everything is included in price except cable, but there is a small lobby on every floor with local channels on tvs.

I was supposed to stay from Sep all the way to end of the year but I had to move out at the second week because of the BED BUGS. I thought that maybe because of the furnitures that they have in the room are from 2nd hand or on the street. thats why there might be the chance the BED BUGS exist. Anyway, I called the maintainence guy and he came over to ask me, where have you been? you sure you havent contact something dirty during the time you stay? I meant that I am not trying to be rude, but seriously, I am a customer and how could you question me without finding out the bed bugs or without any proof? Sigh, finally, I moved out. So, my point is that they have old furnitures and they get those junk from anywhere. the pics you see from the website, those rooms are new furnished and they charge very high. so, be careful when you move in. just make sure that you ask them to clean the room 1st and make sure there is no BED BUGS.

They are doing ranovation now and a lot mess there. Service is really poor since no one in charge even ppl who work there are all part of the owners. Funitures are very old and smell wierd as well. location is pretty close to the LAB. kitchen is tiny and no stove installed. bathroom is old and I could see spriders sometimes. for short term, it might be ok if you do not hang out at home, otherwise, I would not come back for next year. The lady works at the front desk doesnt help anything. my remote control didnt work and she was like, I have no idea. I tried to ask her for helping me for the mailbox, she said that she is new here and she is trying to figure things out as well. good luck if ppl want to stay here.
