Very practical and reasonable prices for labor, Steve clearly communications the issues, diagnoses the problem, and helps you plan the best course of action.This is the kind of friendly, personable mechanic you heard about from your parents/grandparents, a rare breed in todays world.

Steve has worked on several of my cars and has always had very excellent service. He always gave my cars a thorough look over and a heads up if he sees anything that could be a problem down the road. I have always felt lucky to know how to contact the sharpest mechanic in Rome. When Ive had automotive problems in the past that no one else could figure out, I knew I could give him a call and he would know exactly what it was. There was a reason Steve was always the top mechanic at or ran the service department at several local dealerships and I knew it.So as you could guess when my power steering pump went out and I was in a pinch, I made a b-line to Smiths Auto Repair the next morning. I was amazed to get a call that evening saying my car was done. Totally saved me from begging rides to work for a few days.
