I want to thank everyone who put their reviews on this because I moved to Rome last May. I was not sure where to go for my car to get fix. This shop got the best reviews. I am also deaf and I was worried if I might experience some communication barriers but NO!!! This Shop is AMAZING. They made sure I got allmy communication accessible and they are so wonderful and really kind. I highly recommend everyone to come to this shop!

Trust! That is the key word for why I have been using Mike Ford Auto for more than 15 years. Price is important, but trust is even more important. With Mike, I do not have to sacrifice either. He personally is an awesome mechanic and he employs other great mechanics. You can trust Mike with your daughters car and your wallet.

My daughter goes to Berry and we live 4 hours away, so when her car had problems I was nervous that she would be taken to the cleaners by a mechanic. The early diagnosis was that she needed a new compressor for her air-conditioning, which is big money. I agreed to get it fixed, but once Mike did further diagnosis, he realized it was not the compressor. He could have done the work and charged us, but he did not and the fix was much much cheaper. It is good to know there are some mechanics you can trust and knowing my daughter has a local mechanic. Thanks Mike!

The owner is great. He goes the extra mile to make sure he can accommodate you to get you to and from his shop if you have no one else to help you. He is very trustworthy in getting your vehicle fixed with the best quality parts for the best price possible. I have used other shops in town that knowingly put a poorly rated part on my vehicle just to get the money...knowing it probably wouldnt last very long.

Mike is more than my mechanic, he has beome a trusted friend. I came to him too long ago to remember the exact year, but it was from a recommendation by my wifes co-worker. That was the best bit of advice I have recieved in years. To me the main ingredient I seek when searching for any vendor (mechanic, plumber, A/C man, etc) is trust. Being the cheapest isnt the determining factor. Do I trust them, means the most to me. Mike and his whole crew of guys and gals past that hurdle, for me, long ago. If you are looking for a trustworthy and knowledgeable mechanic in the Rome, GA area, Mike is my first recommendation.

Highly recommend! Take all the family vehicles here. They are super nice & always go above & beyond with customer service. May not be the cheapest in town, but U get what U pay for. We have never had a problem with any of the work done!

I was very satisfied with Mikes service. I was able to explain the problem to the mechanic that worked on my car (not just the people at the desk.) They were able to fix an electrical problem with my radio/SYNC system that was draining my battery. The mechanics are knowledgeable and listen to you. The prices are reasonable. Good people at front desk. Yes this matters for a good experience. Vechicle fixed up as needed. Price was average. I dont believe I was over charged as compared to other Shoppes around town here. Ill be back if I have to have more repairs for sure.

I lived in Rome for two years. Visited Mike Ford a number of times for oil changes and some bigger car problems. A great trustworthy local place for car repair and maintenance.What I appreciated the most was when Mike himself sat down with me to explain (in laymans terms) what was going on with my car.

My daughter heard a noise in her front brakes. I am working in the Middle East so she took her car to Mike Fords. They found the problem which did not call for a repair. Instead of taking advantage of a young lady they were honest. Hats off and appreciation to Mike Fords Auto.

Wouldnt recommend this place to anybody.I got a bumper to bumper used car inspection done by these guys. This took over 5 hours, but Im not complaining about that because I would rather it take longer than to be too quick and things get missed.They gave me a list of problems with the car, along with estimates of everything.They quoted me $347.63 for an oil change and a top up on antifreeze!!!!One problem that was listed on the estimate was transmission shudder. How would they fix this? By adding a transmission fluid additive. What automotive professional would fix a transmission problem by adding a $10 fluid additive instead of finding the root of the problem?I took my car to Mike Ford for an inspection because of the good reviews. I would never bring my car there to be fixed. I mean a $347.63 oil change is absolutely ridiculous.Not to mention that they drove my car for over 40 miles to see that there was indeed a shudder, like I had already told them there was, only to tell me the way they would fix it is to put the additive in. Outrageous.

Honest and affordable arent usually words you would associate with mechanics, but Mike Ford and his crew are just that. We drive 20 miles out of our way to take our cars to Mike Fords because theyre just that good. Most recently, we went in with a brake problem too tricky for shadetree mechanic work. In less than 24 hours, Mike and his crew not only fixed our problem, but came in under budget with a salvage yard part (proportioning valve). In our house, the phrase What would Mike Ford do? gets thrown around quite a bit. These guys are the best.

I was in Cedartown visiting family for thanksgiving and my wife had noticed a grinding sound when we parked the car after driving from Texas. I called the day before thanksgiving and asked if they could take a look. They said they were full but would take a look to make sure it was safe to drive back to Texas. I drove up to Rome and Mike took my car for a drive and put it on the lift to check the suspension. Everything was fine and there were 2 items that would need attention soon but would not be an issue for driving back. It was very busy there but everyone, including the customers were super nice. Mike is the kind of mechanic that tells you when something needs to be fixed or if it can wait another 10000 miles or so. This is one of the hardest things to find in an auto shop and is likely why they are so busy.

Im amazed at the honesty of this shop. Sadly, we often expect companies, especially in the auto business, to squeeze as much money as possible out of us, sometimes by over exaggerating the urgency of the problem. Not so with Mike Ford, they were honest and told me I could hold off on some repairs that a different place told me I needed right away. I will definitely be returning to this business in the future!

So many things wrong here. I was charged $700 for a part that I could have bought from Amazon for $150. The service was not what I asked for and did not take care of my problem. Also was told I needed a new drive belt,$200. Told them I recently replaced belt, they looked at belt again and said I did not need one. Was told originally the cost of service was $300. They started the repair and then called and said I also needed a valve cover that would cost an additional $700, as I said above, I checked and found I could have bought part for $150.To recap, paid over a thousand dollars for service I did not need, would recommend that you not use this company or at least get a second openion.

They were extremely helpful when my tensioner pulley started going bad. They didnt even charge me to tighten it down real quick. Ill definitely come back here again.
