I had a great experience today. Luckily they do walk-ins but the place had a lot of guests. They have great service. I liked my haircut. The hair stylist was quick and efficient. She also did give me a good feedback. They do take cards but prefer cash.

Ive been going for about 10 years. Love the ladies there. Its hard to find a cheap haircut in potomac, but theyre $15, theyre great and the straight razor shave and massage are just icing on the cake. I trust all the women there to do a great job. Only place I go.

Since moving to the North Potomac area I was going here to get my haircut. My haircut back in December I was charged about triple the normal price for a haircut which was about $58. So I called and tried to handle it in a civil manner and the owner kept insisting he would never do that and got loud a little over the phone.I suggested a free haircut after showing proof and he said sure. I went in yesterday and he was busy so another hairdresser helped me and when I went to pay I talked to him about it. I showed him and he kept making a scene with other customers around. He kept claiming he would never do anything like that and insisted I must of tipped more than I thought I did.I would never tip $30 for a $17 haircut. Then kept telling me I bought hair product which I didnt since I dont need anything that would cost $30.He kept making a scene and getting somewhat loud with me in front of other customers. He then decided to say itll come out of the hairdressers pay since I didnt go to him for a free haircut. When its on the owner since he pays the employees at the end of the day.Eventually he got so aggravated he just said whatever. Congratulations Mr.Owner you lost a customer, I rather drive to Silver Spring to get my haircut.Only redeeming factor is the hairdresser that did my haircut was really good. The unprofessionalism is the reason for my low rating.

I am new in town and this shop was close to my house. I didn’t have an appointment but the owner Dimitri said he could take me (even though other barbers in the shop seemed to be available). He finished up his customer and sat me down on the chair. My first clue that something was wrong was he didn’t wash his hands after the previous customer and there was a fish smell on his hands. The mask he was wearing was not covering his face but only his chin and he was trying to talk to me the whole time. I asked him why he wasn’t covering his face and he said “don’t worry I don’t have Covid.”The haircut was rushed and he seemed to be racing to other customers. My sides were uneven but I just wanted to finish up and get out of there. I won’t be back.

Everybody in the shop is very welcoming. They have got some really skilled workers there. Got a good haircut in a really cheap price.

Very good barbershop. Great service and added little values to make any wait time tolerable (pop corn, coffee, TV with sports...etc). Dimitri, the owner is not only great at what he does (with over 35 yrs experience, how could you not?), he is full of great stories of his beloved Greece and knows quite a bit of the area. Their hours are also better than most.

Very consistently good barber. I see mostly men getting cuts but women can get styled here too. Busy shop with six to eight stylists on staff at any given time. All are good and listen well. Most are good at offering suggestions. Service and quality are much better than any other under-$20 haircut mill in the area. Worth a visit even if its a little out of your way.

We are new to the area, and Im glad I found this place. This is a family owned business, and Georgia (owners granddaughter) was excellent! She is great at her trade, courteous, and kind. The prices are very affordable as well.

Great service. I love the way they trim the hair with a straight-edge blade. The warming shaving cream was a special experience. Went during the afternoon and was please with no wait. This shop is one of the best kept secrets in the Traville shopping center. $17 for a mens haircut.

Fantastic haircuts/hairstyling. Every barber/stylist is terrific. I have NEVER had a “bad” haircut. I do t like choosing a ‘favorite’ stylist so I simply go to whomever is next in line for a customer. I have never been disappointed I’ve been to many places and I could not recommend Travilah Barbershop more highly!

Ive been coming here regularly for about 10 years now, and theres a reason I come back. Haircuts are good, staff are friendly. If its your first time, and you like a social barber, ask for Dimitri. Hes exceptional!

This is a typical neighborhood barber shop. The staff is very polite and fairly competent. I find them a bit expensive and they have been raising their prices. With tips a hair cut is $18. For a barber thats a bit steep though they are in an upscale neighborhood, so I guess rent is probably high. All in all its an okay place

Blended very well, no awkward spots.+ I was serviced right as I walked in, they had about 7 people working on a Sunday+ Only $15 + tip.- None of the barbers seemed particularly talkative, though. I believe mine only spoke a little English.Overall, I will definitely be coming back for my next haircut.

Great for men. my brother loves their cheap hair cuts and I like waiting and watching him get a haircut. plus they have free popcorn so its like im watching a show.

I gave it three stars because my cut ended up being a good amount shorter than the picture I showed her and she also messed up my part line. I personally do not care much considering hair grows back but I feel as if most people would so I gave a review reflecting that.

Great barber shop with excellent service. Wait time on a busy day is 10-15 minutes but they can handle anything from a haircut to a beard trim (much needed for me). They also have free popcorn which whether an adult or a kid is excellent all around.$17 for a mens haircut.

I dropped by this barbershop one day after work since I no longer live near my preferred Barbershop. After a short wait I sat down in Wendys chair and braced for impact. My worries were soon put to rest as Wendy was extremely attentive to detail, spent time asking me how I like my hair, and made sure I did not leave her chair until I was satisfied. This may seem obvious to some, but my past experience with other stylists has not been this way. I will happily recommend Wendy and this barbershop to any and all looking for a great haircut at a reasonable price. Whats better is they accept credit cards!

Love this place. I was used to the high scale / cool places with trap music playing and the oldest barber there was younger than 30, so needless to say I was a little skeptical at first go.I was shocked. Haircuts were actually well done. I was pleasantly surprised that they were able.to do an undercut with a hard part, with a decent fade.Now, my son and I go almost every 2 weeks. Our wait is never over 10 minutes, and Id say that 80% of the time its an immediate door to chair time. Cuts are about $17. Highly recommend to at least give them a try.

Had my first visit to Traville Barber Shop today. It was Excellent. I had Wendy, who did a fantastic job a on my hair. Really took a lot of time to make sure it was just the way I wanted. Their prices are VERY reasonable and I highly recommend them

Very quick haircut, but the other reviews threw me way off. Was expecting a more unique experience. I paid $20 and got an ok haircut to get me by until I find a real barber. I would much rather pay an extra $20 and get the real deal barber experience. Also my hair looks nothing like how I wanted it, but itll do for now.

Lots of barbers and they are all adept at doing hair! Bunnida is my favorite. They had a price increase last year, but I think there prices are competitive.

They have a whole contingent of barbers waiting to cut hair. Ive always done walk-in and Ive always been seated after hanging my jacket. The name of each barber is above his or her mirror, a nice personal touch. At the end of the cut, besides a straight shave, you can also receive an electric hand massage on your shoulders.

Hit or Miss.When theyre on, they are ON (one of the best cuts Ive gotten in my life) but when they suck, they are the WORST.Last time I was in there I had to immediately go out and buy 4 new hats, because I knew I would need to wear a hat for the next couple of weeks. Well, its been three weeks and my hair still isnt long enough again to get my hair fixed. Im guessing maybe two more weeks? I walked in with 5 of hair, asked for a trim, and walked out with a 0.5 USMC high and tight. (I have a weird shape head...its why I like having hair.)All in all, this last haircut cost me over $100, after paying $20 for the bad haircut, and I got a great deal at Kohls around the corner where I got 4 hats for ~$80!I dont think Id ever go back. If you wanna risk your haircut, try them! You might love it, or you might become a hatter?

Ive been going here for years and love it. Standard haircut is finished with a hot foam straight razor shave along the edges. Its like going to a barber in the 40s, full service trim with all the amenities.

I called them up and set up an appointment. I made it very clear that I needed the haircut done before noon as I had an appointment then. They said yes. When I arrived, I was made to wait for 5 minutes, then 15, then 30. I think it’s horrible. The haircut is good but this isn’t the place for you if you are in a hurry.

Literally the worst haircut I’ve ever gotten. I asked for a fade and this lady just started shaving the sides of my head. I don’t think she actually knew what a fade was because I asked her to stop and said I wanted a fade. She said oh yeah I’m gonna go lower down to skin but she very clearly did not know what she was doing. Never going back

I have frequently come to Traville Barber Shop for many years . Always received a great hair cut . Only disappointment I notice is rude behavior from one regular stylist Sophia. She need to show more empathy to other and greet me with respect and courtesy even Im not her regular customer.

Went to Traville for the first time this week. Very close to work. Classic barber shop, great haircut and the right price.

My son got his hair cut from Jenny, who cut him (about 3-4 inches long) and deep enough to draw blood. I called the barber shop to speak with someone, however the boss was off that day and I would get a return call the next business day. The next day, I got a call from his daughter, she asked for a picture and let me know she will talk to her father and get me an answer for next steps. They tried making excuses like excess movement, or its normal to get cuts when clippers are used. I assured them that my son sat very still the whole cut, and that scratches were ok, but cuts are not, especially because they DO NOT sanitize clippers in between each client. She told me that she will make sure I walk away a happy customer. Ive followed up every single day since and havent heard back from them. Shame on them for not taking responsibility when they cut and drew enough blood for the scab to still be there a week later.

Decent barber, never wait more than 10 minutes. Usually its almost immediate to get a seat.
