Today was my first visit to Gallery Salon. It was a wonderful experience! I called this morning and they were able to book me and my daughter appointments for this afternoon. There was plenty of parking in the lot by the salon. We called on arrival, then waited in our car until our stylist was ready. Masking and safety measures were required throughout our visit, and every precaution was taken to keep us safe. The staff was wonderful with me and with my preschool-aged daughter. They made us feel welcome, they accommodated her, and they worked hard to get our cuts just right based on pictures we brought with us. We will be going back!

Love this place!! Went in and i had no clue what i wanted to do with my hair. I told the stylist I wanted something new and convenient as a new mom. I love my hair! It was a big change and i just love it.

I won’t be coming again here, so sorry. First and last time. I asked for a bob cut but I ended up with a different hai cut. The store is amazing the way it looks. I paid for the service they did on my hair but not got satisfied. Also I ended up with my skin painted.

I have been coming to Gallery Salon for the past 15 years and have always had a wonderful experience. Everyone is always so welcoming and kind and the service is top notch. Erika has been doing my hair since I was 4 and I always leave every appointment in love with the results. I also get my nails done by Halley at Gallery and can go up to 8 weeks with no lifting, chipping, or breaking with their gel manicure. Love this place so much!

Gallery Salon is the most special place in Rochester. I get my hair and my nails done here, they always have local artists work on the walls and out to buy, and completely transformed for Covid restrictions seamlessly. It also helps that everyone that works there is so kind and thoughtful.I also go married on Halloween and three of their awesome stylists came out to do hair for the wedding. These women did such a fantastic job with the hair and completed 15 women’s hair in record time! As the bride I never felt more beautiful than I did that day! This salon is so unique and special, a complete gem! Highly recommend for hair styling, nails, and wedding hairstyling ❤️

Ive had my hair done by Erica (the owner) for a special event and she helped me brainstorm and executed perfectly.Since then Ive returned to have multiple gel manicures with Dee. I have learned to build in some extra time for the appointments as they sometimes take longer than expected, but I can also clearly see that its because they care about customer satisfaction, comfort, and doing the right thing. Dee had done some glamorous nails for me, but I included the picture of the fun ones she did for me for a trip to Brazil for Carnival, including a yellow/green ombre on the thumb!

Ive been going to Erika at Gallery Salon for over 14 years, and its by far the best salon experience Ive ever had. My hair is difficult to manage, and all my life stylists at other salons have made me feel like I was putting them out because my hair texture. Erika has never made me feel bad for having to spend a little extra time with my hair and she knows how to make it look fantastic. She is hilarious, also, and I truly look forward to each visit. Everyone at Gallery is awesome, kind, and professional. My daughter goes there and I have sent several people there, especially people who might feel a little nervous about going to the salon due to the way other stylists have made them feel in the past. When I went in recently I appreciated all the precautions/measures they were taking to keep people safe.

I have gone to Gallery Salon since it’s inception. I always receive a reminder call. Every time I have gone in I have always been greeted with a smile and treated with kindness. The Salon is clean, they have wonderful products to choose from, everything I could possibly need. Since their re-opening during the pandemic, I was very impressed with the protocol the owner set in place. She has met all the safety measures and I feel extremely safe when I go in. Absolutely love this place! Never have had my nails done before in my entire life and this was a wonderful experience. I was a little nervous and didn’t know what to expect but immediately felt comfortable. Gallery Salon is very professional, clean, warm and welcoming. My nail technician D was amazing! I had a design that I really wanted and she was able to hand paint it on my nails, true artistry! Also the conversation was fabulous and when I was nervous about my nails being sanded because I hate the feeling she both calmed me down and distracted me by talking about fun things. Let’s just say I’ve now had my nails done more than once! Highly recommend!

They also did all the hair for my wedding and I received so many compliments! Each and every staff member there is AMAZING. I’ve been going to Gallery for a few years and have lived in Rochester for ten. It took me countless salons to find a salon that I felt truly comfortable with. The front desk staff are always welcoming and friendly, and Kathy is THE best stylist and human, hands down. She listens to me, has been able to color my Korean hair without making it look orange, and is so kind. I’m so thankful to everyone at Gallery for providing an environment where everyone is welcome.

I got my nails done every 10-15 days at Gallery by Halley for 3 years. The only reason I stopped was because I moved away from Rochester. I’ve been going to Gallery for over a year, working with Melissa for my hair and Bethany for my nails. Melissa quite literally saved my hair from the attack of the floof, and always listens to what I want and helps me get to what I am looking for. I have been back since the Covid precautions and felt very safe, it was easy to keep my mask on and they were great about filling me in on the protocols. I felt very comfortable, and had an excellent experience.Bethany is a star with nails. She helped me grow my nails, come up with some killer designs and is always such a fun person to hang with when getting them done. The gel that they use there doesn’t make my nails brittle and I’ve loved having them!Every front desk person I’ve interacted with there has been friendly, knowledgeable and so much fun to be around. I genuinely look forward to my appointments because it feels like checking in with a family.

I have been going to Gallery for 15 years and am always amazed by the talented staff and pleased with the results. Erika and her team are incredible; attentive, professional and truly care about their clients satisfaction and health. The stylists take time to ensure that they meet your expectations and more often than not they exceed! With COVID, precautions and PPE protocols are in place ensuring everyones safety. Looking forward to my next appointment!

I’ve been seeing Halley at Gallery for a little over three years. (Nailzzz.) The staff at Gallery are always a highlight of my week, even now during COVID-19.While I miss sitting alongside other clients and techs to chat and laugh with, as well as interacting with the guest services staff - I have been grateful for and impressed with the safety precautions that the salon has put in place.I feel safe in my decision to return to Gallery for nail services, with face masks, temperature monitoring, health screening forms, social distancing, plexiglass partitions, and frequent hand-sanitizing breaks.

Erika has been doing my hair for 20+ years. I have watched her cultivate not only her craft, but her business, staff and clientele. Her space is, and always has been, welcoming, diversified, professional and above all Gallery Salon puts their clients first. They are friendly, the atmosphere is always positive and open. Not only do they focus on the salon services, they are also heavily community involved and enormous supporters of local businesses and artists. I could go on and on about the positives of this place, but I would run out of room.COVID-19 has placed so many restrictions on businesses, but the salon industry has some of the toughest regulations. Their licenses are at stake and I know, personally, the amount of time, effort and resources Erika and the Gallery Salon staff put forth to open safely, for the staff and clients. As clients, and living in NY, we are aware of what the rules are, and we should be able to follow the minimal requirements asked of us, even though it is not ideal. Everyone is really doing everything they can to ensure a safe, and continued positive experience. KEEP UP YOUR FANTASTIC WORK!I would like to address a comment on a previous review regarding discrimination based on ethnicity. To anyone out there that has ever, or never, been to Gallery Salon let me assure you, they would NEVER discrimate against anyone for anything. This place could not be MORE welcoming to EVERYONE no matter who you are! It is one of the basic fundamentals of the business that Erika created years ago and continues today.The experience at Gallery Salon is top notch! Kudos to Erika and the staff for juking and jiving through all of this and keeping the same positive, uplifting, professional attitude they have always had!

On 7/3 I went to gallery salon for cut and highlights, I’ve been going there for more than 5 years. I was there for 3 long hours, scheduled my upcoming appointment with the front desk employee.Erica the owner and a additional employee were also at the front desk( no social distancing ) A week later I receive a TEXT from the hair tech stating that I took my mask down/ off a few times, touched products in the waiting area that had a sign” don’t touch” and threw a paper towel intentionally in my Tech station.Not only do it feel judged and discriminated. It’s my 1st time getting a cut with the mask on, hair kept getting in. My problem with this decision is that according to Erika, herself, her employee and clients made complaints about my mask. So for 3 hours no one approached me to remind me to keep on. So the salon was ok with what I was doing as long as I paid. Suggestions for business owner, if merchandise can’t be touch then remove it from the waiting area. Oh forgot to mention, my hair dresser borrowed a blow dryer from her co worker so that I can diffuse my own hair. Yeah but don’t touch products, double standards you think 🤔 I’mThis accusation is where I really understood that I was being singled out. I purposely threw a paper towel in the work station. Waow is it because I’m the only Latina client at the moment (never seen another Latina client in 5 years). My theory, the salon would rather get rid of the Latina that all the Caucasian were complaining about instead of jeopardizing the clientele.During my visit I saw another client take her mask off. 3 or more people gathering at the front desk, no social distancing, staff not changing their gloves for the entire 3 hours. But I’m not following COVID guidelines!!!!

Tiffany is one of the most talented, competent, and caring stylists around. She takes the time to have a thorough consultation and is able to help hair dreams come to life. You can see her passion through her work, not to mention that immense talent! She’s been doing my hair for years and I’ll never leave her!My most recent visit was during Phase 4 of COVID reopening. All staff followed COVID guidelines and it was as comfortable as it could be in our “new normal.”The owner, Erika, has truly gone above and beyond in her customer service as a businesswoman. I felt 100% prepared to go into the salon from the countless guidance and walkthroughs that were offered via their Facebook page. She always has been willing to answer client questions in a kind and thoughtful way.The staff at Gallery as well are nothing but kind. They remember myself and family between visits. You won’t regret going to Gallery!

Erika has been my stylist for decades- she keeps up with my crazy ideas and manages to keep up on trends while running a business. Watching the salon transition to an educational program has been inspiring.I also treat myself to Manis and Pedis whenever I can squeeze in the time, and its magical everytime.Erika supports small local businesses by selling their wares and showcasing art.With COVID restrictions, service is very different but I felt safe the entire time I was there. All protocols seemed to be met and achieved with minimal affect on the overall relaxing experience of going to the salon!
