We highly recommend staying at Viola Suites. We stayed in suite #3 and enjoyed all of the amenities of home. Very clean and comfortable. The landlords were great - having to deal with a hospital stay where the discharge date was unknown, Rebecca’s flexibility and compassion were much appreciated. My wife was able to enjoy the tranquility of the idyllic garden the night prior and after her hospital stay; our small dog and I certainly appreciated the setting for our stay. We will not hesitate to stay at Viola Suites during future Rochester visits, and would not hesitate to recommend a stay here - certainly beats our previous hotel stays!
We stayed a month at Viola suites while my wife underwent surgery at Mayo. It was a great choice. Rebecca and Michael we very helpful in every way. Everything was fully furnished and it was sparkling clean! Rebecca even furnished us with herbs/seasonings for our cooking! We highly recommend Viola Suites. It was a wonderful experience!
The Viola Suites was a life saver. Our new construction home was not ready and wed sold our home. I was happy to find a short term, reasonably priced, furnished, pet friendly rental but even happier once we arrived and settled in. We stayed for four weeks and Rebecka and Michael (new owners) couldnt have been nicer or more welcoming. They even bought a pet bed for our sheltie so she would be comfortable during her stay! The suites are fully equipped with everything we needed to cook, clean, and live as normal a life as possible while awaiting our new home. Its immaculate, comfortable and has a lovely big yard. Its close to Mayo Clinic, downtown, a supermarket and hiking at Quarry Hill. I highly recommend staying at Viola Suites!
Good landlords, nice quiet location with an easy route to the clinic. Was nice to have landlords next door to help with things. I would recommend to anyone staying long term.
My husband and I just stayed here for 5 nights. What a wonderful place! We stayed in the smallest apartment and it was very clean, comfortable, and well kept. It had everything we needed, plus little small extras that made it even nicer! After days at Mayo Clinic, it was nice to come back to such a quiet place and relax either in the jacuzzi tub in the bathroom or sit at the picnic tables in the wooded area behind the house. Judy checked in with us on a regular basis to see if we needed anything and was very nice. Last time I was at Mayo we stayed in a hotel, this worked out so much better for us!
As with our last stay, every possible need of ours, while staying in Rochester as A Mayo Clinic patient, was anticipated, and met with such graciousness and care while staying at Viola Suites! The heart and soul of this fine home away from home, Miss Judy, provides comfort and opportunities to continue healing, not only through the care she provides in creating clean, well manicured, and cozy home environments, but also through her joyful outlook on life, desire to assist in any way she can, and smile that lights up a room! After challenging days at the Clinic and Hospital, it is a pleasure to return to this warm, peaceful, and inviting abode with a heart.
My name is Greta and I am a Dr. from Norway.. I came to Mayo Clinic as a resident for one month with my family. The grounds are beautiful and so was Judy their General Manager. Our furnished apartment was cozy and clean, and stocked with everything we needed. I recommend this property to all residents and interns needing to stay in Minnesota.Thank you
Viola Suites was more than we expected. The property was nestled in wood surroundings and close to everything. We arrived for a six week medical stay and were greeted and given an introduction to the apartment and accessories. The management was experienced, knowledgeable and gave us directions on how to get around. It was freezing cold when we arrived and it was nice to have the warmth and comfort of a gas fireplace when we walked in. We found the apartment in good condition, clean and everything was well maintained. It was a long six weeks away from our home under difficult circumstances. I would like to give a special thanks to the owner and Judy for making our stay comfortable and worry free. Highly recommended.
While recovering from surgeries and treatments at Mayo Clinic, it was a great comfort being able to come back to Viola Suites each evening! The suites provide such a comfortable home away from home, and all of the needed amenities and extras that create a healing environment. The greatest joy and privilege of staying at Viola Suites, however, was the opportunity to meet Judy. She is the everything and backbone of the properties, doing everything she can with a warm, caring, and energetic heart for everyone at the total drop of a hat. She meets every need and then some, giving each guest the gift of focusing on healing alone. She is magnificent, and my family cannot thank her enough. This is the perfect spot in Rochester to stay where a beautiful/peaceful environment, care, and comfort come together. I highly recommend Viola Suites as the best kept secret in Rochester for those in need of healing! Thank-you, Judy, for everything!
Our stay in Rochester with Viola Suites is one that we are grateful for. I have been coming to the Mayo Clinic for the past four years, basically I fell out of remission. We have stayed in expensive hotels downtown and felt like we were in a different country. We stayed in two furnished housing properties and they were nothing like the peaceful tranquility offered at Viola Suites. The management is excellent. The respect and courtesy for others is unmatched. If you just need someone to talk with when youre down and away from your family and grandchildren you can count on them to be more than a rental agent. The apartment was relaxed homey and clean. I thank them for everything and I will never stay anywhere else.
Thank you Judy for the quite home away from home. We had everything that we could have possibly needed and we enjoyed our stay as much as we could under the circumstances. If we know someone coming to Rochester, we will be sure to tell them to contact the Abbey. Everything was perfect!
I stayed here for 5 weeks. The staff was amazing, willing to help get to appointments and the store when necessary. The units are great size and furnished well. It sits on beautiful land, and is close to the clinic. (Within 2 miles) I would Highly Recommend An Abbey At Viola Suites to anyone coming to Rochester for any reason!
I stayed at Viola Suites during a business trip for a month. The property was manicured and the apartment provided everything. If you need to be in Rochester look these people up, they are great.
I was really surprised when I saw the quality of these furnished apartments. Unlike any of the other places Rochester, Viola Suites provides a pleasant environment for extended stay housing.
Could not have been a better place to stay after transplant.
