I loved my cut and color. Very professional. One of the best highlights and cuts I have had. It was fun to be in a salon that has been in the family for 56 years and such a neat location. I highly recommend this salon.

The gentleman there got me in last minute for a trim, had a great personality and did a great job, couldn’t ask for a better experience in a salon you’ve never been in before

I always like to find a business that’s unique in its own way and total salon image didn’t disappoint. Joseph is the grandson of the original owner of this spot and as a result it has little things that go a long way (a hair vacuum post cut for example that takes care of the most annoying part of most haircuts). He is fantastic at cutting hair and is a pleasure to converse with. Ask him about the history of the place and the people who have come through and he will happily share. Overall a truly great experience! That being said, be prepared to pay a little more than for your average haircut. Don’t let that scare you though, you certainly get what you pay for when you roll into this spot for a fresh cut!

I received a cut tonight from Joseph, when he generously gave of his time to visit the Gift of Life Transplant House. He did a fantastic job, and it was such a blessing to find a skilled stylist, while Im away from home. Highly recommended!

These guys are awesome. I decided to do a last minute hair cut before an event I was speaking at. My usual person does not do beards, and trust me my beard was all over the place, and wanted to get it looking good . So went to a different barber who stated they specialized in beards, and they did not do a very good job. So for the sake of not going to short i just left, and called total image. They got me right in, and did a fantastic job. Joseph is an amazing barber and recommend them to anyone looking for a quality cut at a reasonable price.

I highly recommend this place for a mens haircut. Joseph was very meticulous and friendly, and even went so far as to vacuum the little hairs off the back of my neck! This is a family-run, multi-generational small business started by Josephs grandfather roughly 50 years ago. It was obvious that carrying out his grandfathers legacy is very important to him. I will most definitely return.

I made an appointment a few weeks back due to a recommendation from my husbands barber saying they do awesome at coloring hair... I told the lady I would probably need a color correction due to not having my hair done for so long and then an all over color. The day of my appointment i walked in and they had my name taken down wrong, I went back to sit in the chair and I wasnt even in the chair 2 minutes when Mary said there is no way she could do my hair. She took Joseph in the back to see if they could find a similar to what I wanted (copper red with darker roots) I overheard Joseph say she said all over correction, not this! Mary then came back and said she would have Joseph do my hair but they would have to lighten my whole head and go buy the color and it would cost me AT LEAST $200 and I would have to come back around 1:40 p.m., mind you my appointment was at 9:00 a.m. and I had to hire a babysitter. She then tried to make me an appointment with her daughters salon but they were booked too. I walked out to call the regular salon I go to and she goes what, youre not gonna leave mad are you? Youre coming back right!? I got into my normal salon two hours later and I got a hair cut, brows, color, and product for $160. Lesson learned not to go to a new one I guess. Staff was very rude and made me so uncomfortable.

Joseph and his lovely wife Hilary and their team! are amazing at what they do.. never a dull moment at this shop!! with bright smiles and laughter all around..head over and get pampered and have that fresh feeling from head to toe walking out!!.. and Men if your looking for a razor shave check out the newest member to the team Mike Lopez as he will lean you back on his old school Baber chair, set a hot citrus mint towel over your face, leather your face with a warm cream and massage your face! Get that old school experience!!STAY FRESH!!

FANTASTIC salon. Joseph does color like a magician. Both my fiance and i have left our overpriced Juute salon in Edina specifically to have him cut our hair going forward. It is worth the drive. Everyone was so friendly, I saw that even Barbara Bush had her hair cut there! There is a reason why this salon has lasted several decades...quality and great price and location!

I was there for my wedding. Had my hair done and it turned out great. I also opted to have my makeup done that day which was great. As a matter of fact I liked the service I recieved so much that day I decided to order some makeup they sold.I recieved my order and the wrong lipstick and gloss was sent. I let the company know and I was assured I would get the correct products sent to me. I live 3 hours away. Well needless to say it has been over 3 weeks and no makeup. I have sent 3 emails with no response. At this point I am not satisfied with the way this situation was handled. This makeup is not cheap and to not have the product in hand I am feeling ripped off.

I cannot comment on the quality of the actual hair cut. As I work at Mayo across the street, I walked in for a quick hair cut. The gentleman at the front desk di dnot even look up or say hello ask I asked for an appointment. He looked at the schedule book and then finally looked up and said they were busy all day and then went back to whatever he was doing. He did not offer another appointment date or anything else. I will not go back even though it is connected to the building I work in and very convenient.

Quick, and affordable bang trim! Got me in the same day, and on my lunch break, and my co-workers approve of the results!

Wonderful place to get a great and reasonably priced pedicure.

If only you catered to the black community too. Dont know the first thing about our hair but call yourself stylist...
