I was looking for a new barber in Rochester and decided to give The Elegant Gent a shot. I am very happy with my decision! Nick gave me an amazing haircut (mid skin fade) and he was a pleasure to talk with during the cut. When I found out the haircut was only $20, I was so surprised. With the professional quality and the attention to detail, I thought I was going to pay much more! Nick even recommended a nearby Golf Range to me, which I also will be giving 5 stars. Hoping my hair grows fast so I can come back soon for my next haircut!

Have been going to Elegant Gent for 30 years or more. Great cut everyone. Very welcoming, great conversation. The barbers even know what a Princeton is. Tony runs a great shop.

Nick did the best he could but I think he didnt have much experience with curly hair. It looked pretty good when I left because it was still wet but as it dried and my curls came back full force it looked very uneven in the front and was shorter than I wanted. Im sure he does a good job with straight hair but if you have curls probably best to go somewhere else.

I was rather impressed to say the least. The price was right when I looked online so that drew me in, but boy oh boy it really was a quality haircut! Nick looked to be about 16 years old (I kid, I kid) but he cuts hair like a consummate professional. Great conversation, quality hair cut, good location, all of the things I look for. I may have found my new spot. Ill certainly be back!

Been going for years. Doriel is fantastic. Attentive, experienced, funny. Went on FaceTime with me during Covid to show me how to give my son a haircut. Highly recommended!

Doriel always does an amazing job on my sons hair. He started going to Doriel at around 2 years old. Hes very flexible. The most recent time, My son was not having his haircut. Doriel went above and beyond and came in during his off shift so we could get his haircut when he was in a better mood and he would continue to have a good experience.All covid protocols are followed and the shop is being extremely safe

I’m generally wary of sharing reviews on barbers right after the cut, because I like to wait for the hair to grow to match the style, but this barber shop and under the care of Nick Spinelli, I don’t have to wait for the style to grow in, I don’t even have to wait for it to grow in it looks amazing immediately after it’s done, and the conversation was exquisite during the entire experience! I will gladly go there again, and recommend it to all my friends who are looking!

Bill Rich at Elegant Gent had his work cut out for him since it had been just over 7 months since my last haircut. And as with all my visits to Elegant Gent everyone is very friendly and professional. And during these COVID times they are using safe practices to try and keep clients healthy.

Doriel did an awesome job with my hair and everyone in the salon was taking the right precautions. I would absolutely get a haircut here again.

Two weeks later, Im still getting compliments on the haircut I received from Doriel (I need to update my boring profile picture so it looks as good as I do now). Great people, well kept place, very friendly-

Started going to this shop just after moving to the Rochester-area. They were welcoming on Day One and have always been accommodating for cuts as a walk-in (usually for me on a Saturday morning) or with a quick phone call to set up an appointment. All the barbers and stylists are good people and the atmosphere is friendly amongst the patrons as well. Highly recommend!

Doriel cut my hair after I was recommended to go to him, he did a great job cut it exactly how I wanted it for a great price.

Ask for Dorial. Best barber I’ve ever had and the price is very reasonable. I’ve tried several other barbers/chains and if you live even close to Brighton then this is the best option to get a haircut.
