These are great folks who skillfully provide haircuts for anyone who will pay. On my first trip here, the owner cut my hair and we had some great conversation. Yesterday, Cindy cut my hair and we also had good conversation. The wife liked the final product and, as the saying goes, happy wife, happy life.

Barbers on fourth honestly provided one of the highest value haircuts Ive ever received. Eric actually took heed to my naturally long head and gave me a cut that perfectly complimented my shape. Very few barbers are able to recognize the level of care that is necessary for people with my kind of hair and head shape. Would recommend to anyone that frequents the downtown area.

The barbers are great and super friendly. Whether you are a regular or first timer the team always says hello and goodbye. Really like the reservation system that was put in place. Enjoy supporting this small business.

Cutting hair is a two-part business - making my hair look awesome and carrying on a great conversation while doing so. Barbers on Fourth absolutely satisfies both of these needs. Ive been going to Mark for probably 4 years now and Im always impressed by the haircut he gives me and I enjoy the conversations we have. The only complaint I wouldve had before covid was the long wait time, but after the shutdown, they created an easy-to-use online appointment maker. Im very pleased with this barber shop.

The two barbers on a Saturday are always great company and very friendly and welcoming, and I hope to return for many more years. Absolutely first class.

If youre concerned about getting a haircut due to the covid-19 virus which is (at the time of writing this review) still a huge concern, then I encourage you not to let that stop you from visiting Barbers On Fourth. All haircuts are by appointment only and easily scheduled from their website. I was concerned myself, but after arriving my concerns went away. There were never more than a couple of people waiting (in very well spaced out chairs). Masks are required and stay on both the customer and the barber the entire time. The seats and equipment are visibly sanitized between each patron. They made a potentially stressful situation completely comfortable so give them a try if you need a cut!

I started coming here about 2 years ago when my cousin recommended it for me. It’s a great place and the barbers grow to become like family. Haven’t walked out with a bad haircut before and that’s what keeps me coming unlike other salons and shops. Great cuts, great value!!!

Walked in and was told 15 minutes tops. Proceeded to wait for over an hour and never was seated only to see a bunch of people who came in after me sit down for haircuts. No system in place for who is next. Good luck if you’re not a “regular”. Eventually had to leave to pick up my daughter from school without getting a haircut. Thanks guys...

Definitely will be going back, fortunately, when I stopped by for the first time, they were not busy so I had a nice conversation with my barber and was not rushed at all.I didnt have to wait at all, basically walked in directly to the chair and was out of there very satisfied with my cut.Definetly recommend you give them a try before any other place in the vicinity.

It is a traditional American experieince for men that has increasingly become hard to find.The barbers greet you with a smile and the ambience is perfect! Prices are more than reasonable. This may be the best barber shop I ever went too. It really reminds of the place my dad took me, when I was growing up. The prices are very reasonable, and the haircuts are great. They will even give you a shave! I have been going for about six months now and never got a bad cut. My last cut was by Mark, he is great! He listened to what I wanted and took the time to get it just right. This is not five minute chain haircut; these guys are the real deal.

Amazing place to go!. I moved to MI about three years ago. After spending a year shopping around for proper barbershops, being terrible disappointed in so many in my area, I found these guys. As any person who wants more than the buzz cut and go you would get at any chain place, this is the place to be. Attention to detail, the level of professionalism, this is why there is always a line. Great cut by Mark. After I gave a rough explanation of what I wanted (just a basic, mens not-too-short style with a left part), he detailed what he would do, and he really hit the mark after about 25 minutes of very precise and careful trimming, with an aftershave & brush/vac finish. If you dont like it when your barber shoots the breeze with you, then hes probably not your guy, but I found him entertaining and his finished product was great despite the seemingly distracting chatter.

My brother who was visiting from Texas who came to visit me wanted a haircut. I took him here on 12/5/2018!!! To think that we have kind people here and to think that MAYBE just MAYBE racism doesn’t exist everywhere I was WRONG!!! My brother just wanted a traditional haircut and the barber spoke to his client that he was cutting and said “ He needs to go back down south where he belongs!” And furthermore said he couldn’t do his haircut. ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING. It’s one thing to turn him down tactfully, but the comments weren’t necessary! I will be spreading the word via social media of this horrible incident! NOT OK!! I guess it’s a crime to be Hispanic...

The worst barbershop I’ve ever been to. The lady would just hold the scissor and the comb, then would start cutting your hair without any idea. She literally doesn’t know what she’s doing. One side of my head looks different than the other. And when I told her what was wrong, she made it even worse instead of fixing it. I know will put a hat on till my hair is grown again.Terrible!!
