Chase always gives mean cuts

I got a haircut and beard trim from Chase and I was very impressed with his attention to detail and professionalism. Also, he focused on me the entire time; didnt take calls, texts, or attend to other things, which is rare, but definitely appreciated. Ill definitely be going back.The only improvement I can suggest is the chair. It wasnt very comfortable as it had a low back yet was semi reclined, which caused me to hold my upper back taught and that got a little stiff after awhile. Also Chase is pretty tall and I sensed that he was having to bend a lot to reach me, and thats gotta hurt his back.Great cut and beard trim though, and a very nice guy!

Moved here to VA from NYC struggled to find a barber here that can give that quality cut and I have to say honestly Chase is the best barber around in VA. His fades are high quality, hes very professional and I love every cut from there. No longer Need to ever search for a barber this guy is quality 👌

Some lady came from a different location because there was a pretty big line. She said she would cut my hair so I said ok. I showed her a picture of what I wanted and she completely just bombed. It was uneven. I had to go back to get Chase to fix it. He did an awesome job I gave them 5 stars because of him. Hes pretty cool and he was very nice about fixing the mess. Id go back but only to see Chase.

I’ve heard so many people say great things about Chase - and now I know why. He has an attention to detail that few do, and my son had a blast playing with his son! Very clean, thorough, and professional. You get so much more than just a haircut. Absolutely lived up to the reputation!

Stopped in yesterday for the first time (and certainly not the last). Sat waiting for a while and really enjoyed the experience. Chase is a wonderful professional and takes great pride in his work. Having his puppy in the shop to play with and pass the time was awesome too!Once I got in the chair the experience only got better! I wanted my beard cut off completely because I couldn’t maintain it. He cut it off and cleaned me up with his skilled hands and finished with a straight razor!I could go on and on, but you get it. If you need a haircut and/or a shave this is the place you want to be!

This was my first visit, but wont be the last! Chase was great; I got exactly what I asked for and I experienced exceptional customer service! Also, and most important to me, Chase seemed very concerned with cleanliness and sanitation! I would definitely recommend this barber because of his friendly nature and his skill set!

Chase gave my 15 year old son a great haircut that he absolutely loved and he said he wants Chase to continue to cut his hair. Now that says something from a 15 year old! Thanks my son looks Great! Great place to come. I was hesitant to stray away from my tried and true barber, but because I am traveling, I had no choice. Pleased to say that I may have to make this my usual spot. Chase was able to get me in earlier than my scheduled time, which is always nice, and he made quick work, while being thorough, of getting my hair back to a better than presentable state. Haircut and a shave was only $25, so prices are great. Parking is weird but that’s what happens when you have a shop in a busy little town; also nothing shop owners can control.

Chase knows his stuff. Been pretty picky with my barbers since the Navy and living in nothing but military towns. Not a place that is quickly processing customers through in mass, Chase definitely takes his time to cut exactly how you’re wanting. Great haircut for a great price.

I rarely give bad reviews but I booked an appointment online with Chase and he didnt show up to the appointment. The ladies in the adjacent shop were very nice to me and called him to tell him he had a client waiting on him and I learned he taken the time off. I made my appointment online 3 hours before the appointment so I get it that he decided to take the time off if he had looked at his schedule before then.I wouldnt have had an issue if he had followed up with me to reschedule the appointment or at least apologize but I never heard anything from him. I had listed my email and my phone number when I made an appointment so its not like he didnt have it. I had heard good things about him and was excited for a haircut with him but it didnt work out.

I’ve gotten my haircut with chase twice now. He takes time to make sure he knows what you want and is clearly very skilled. Both cuts have come out great! As a lady with a short hair style, I felt very welcomed and comfortable getting my haircut there. Thanks!

Chase is the best barber I have found in living here over 30 years. He takes all time necessary to deliver a balanced and precise cut. He worked with my available hair to find the best style, which has remained easy to maintain and looks good between cuts. I pass the recently opened shop daily, and notice Chase always has guys lined up waiting. He is a good guy in addition to being a complete pro. I was new to Roanoke and looking for the right barber and Steve has stepped up as the best barber Ive ever had! On top of cleaning up my hair after waiting too long (like usual), hes a really cool dude. Couldnt recommend more!

I didnt find this shop to be friendly or worthy of my business.I first went in late one afternoon to see if I could get a clip, but neither staffer could see me then; walk-ins take that chance and thats cool.Without much enthusiasm they suggested I make an appointment online. So I did. Two days later, after getting email confirmation, I showed up for 1pm appt. At 5 till, my guy took a man with short, professional hair for a trim. It went on for 30 minutes into my time. Again, for the dudes really, really, really short hair.I left, saying my appointment time had passed and I couldnt wait any longer. I went elsewhere and got exactly what I wanted in a timely manner.Takeaway: appointments are merely suggestions; dont count on being seen when scheduled. Staff isnt overly friendly or dependable.The outward appearance of the shop is quaint, a throwback. Would be a great addition to our neighborhood if they were a worthy business to patronize.Cant suggest them for any salon needs. Which is too bad. They were convenient, but convenient means nothing if the shop fails in customer service.NOTE: Owner has asked me to give them another chance; that Chase was a better barber than the other person.Honey, where was Chase all the time I waited? Not there.The guy I was scheduled to have cut my hair never even showed up??? No, you got issues with your shop that you need to tend to. Poor communication and customer service . Called to make an an appointment, and was informed there is only online booking- proceeded to make an appointment at 7:30pm online. Waited for a confirmation email that was never received, called again to see if a walk in was possible since the email was never received. The employee hung up the phone without responding. Then, arrived at 6:45pm for the 7:30pm appointment scheduled online as directed, only to find the door locked- people were still in the building, but did not open the door. Customer service like this is unacceptable.

First time here, was looking for a good barber in the area and read google reviews and this seemed to be a top option. Chase took his time and gave a super detailed cut which is exactly what I was looking for and at a fair price. Did not rush to get me out of the chair like some other places. ~40 minute drive for me but totally worth it, definitely will be my go-to from now on. Also, Im terrible at describing what Im looking for but he knew exactly what I wanted.

Sat in the waiting room for 20 minutes while the barber walked outside with some guy who visited for 5 minutes and left. Barber came back and said we needed an appointment. Why couldnt he say something when we were sitting there for 20 minutes?Definitely a little sketchy. Wont be going back.

I would not recommend this place a few months ago I went in to get a haircut I have been there previously the first time was pretty good but then the second time I was cheated out of $25.There was a lady before me getting a haircut then it was my turn he then placed me in the barber seat and then he told me hed be right back. I watched him go outside across the street to where the store was. He got into his car and left me for an hour and 30 minutes I set in that barber chair wondering if I should have just left then after 25 minutes.I give this place a big thumbs down!!

I’m done with this place. I’m confused how there can be so many 5 star ratings and I’m the only one sharing my negative experiences. The owner’s son is the main barber, Chase, and he is rude and a poor businessman. The two times I’ve walked in, neither time was I greeted, and it’s a small intimate shop where you have to work to ignore someone walking in. On my first visit, the shop was empty except for Chase working on his decorations. No greeting; I wasn’t even sure if he worked there because he ignored me. Then he acted as if I was bothering him by asking for a haircut. I never should have returned after that first visit, but I live in the neighborhood so the location was convenient for me. My second, and last visit, he told me to have a seat and then he would be with me in just a minute. Then he grabbed his cigarettes and slowly made his way outside and to the store across the street. I got up and left; if a smoke break is more important than a paying customer, then fine. He does do a decent haircut, but he is very slow. Some people might call that taking his time; I call it inexperience. He spends more time worrying about what song is playing. I honestly can’t understand so many 5 star reviews; something seems askew. After walking out, a quick google search found me a great barber not far down the road who greeted me when I walked in and was happy to have the business.

I booked an appointment online for 4:30pm. Chase called me 25 minutes before the appointment to tell me that he was going to be 30 minutes late. I told Chase that I have a function later and that was not going to work. Chase offered no solutions. He simply said yeah Im going to be late. He did not offer to reschedule. Did not offer a discount, and his apology was minimal. Will not return.

Chase was absolutely fantastic. I came in 5 minutes before open without an appointment needing a haircut and beard trim badly (there was a lot of work todo). I slipped up and told him that I didnt live in the area and started to worry he might not put as much effort in the cut since Im not likely to be a regular customer. I was wrong. He spent 90 hard working minutes on the cut. By far the best cut Ive ever had. The final shock was he only charged me $35 ($25 for the hair $10 for the beard). I pay $100+ for something similar in San Francisco. Needless to say anytime Im back in town Im going to try to see Chase.

I made an appointment online for 10 am. I arrived at 9:50 and the shop wasn’t open. I called the number on the door at 10:00 (when google and their sign say they open) and the cell phone was turned off. I left a message. I left at 10:15 without a haircut and haven’t heard from them (10:30 now). It’s bad business to take online reservations, send a confirmation, and then just not show up. I called Corporate Image Barbershop downtown, they answered their phone and I’m on my way to actually get a haircut at 11...

Chase is very thorough, takes his time, and gives you the best cut he can. If youre trying to find that perfect barbershop you can always go to, this is it.

I made a 2 PM appointment with Chase and arrived on time despite getting a little lost. No one spoke to me when I walked in. I sat down and about 10 minutes later the person I think was Chase acknowledged me (not by name). 15 minutes later I was told that it would be a few more minutes. 10 more minutes passed and the person I think was Chase was continuing to work. It was then 2:35 PM and I got up to leave. The person I think was Chase called out as I opened the door and said Im done. Had I been a little quicker on the comeback I would have said So am I. Instead, I left quietly and 10 minutes later was in a barber chair on Grandin Road. Its a shame that a barber shop as charming as this on the outside is a little piece of hell on the inside. Two other thoughts...1) there was a bright lamp of some sort turned toward the customer seating area (it was like having the sun in your eyes) and 2) there two minors in the building while some of the raunchiest, vile rap music was playing.
