One style wonder!!! Melody has cut my hair three times since taking over. No matter what details I ask for or type of cut, it’s always a military buzz cut. It was $25 (due to Covid 19) for a quickie buzz cut that I didn’t ask for. I won’t be be back. Pay attention to your customers instead of trying to maximize short term profits.

Amazing service and Kelly was the best stylist Ive ever had! She not only made my hair look great but was also nice and affordable. And Im a picky person with getting my hair cut a certain way. Ask for Kelly and you wont be let down. Will go back from now on!

Great haircut $25

Quick and good cut but she charged me $10 to do a hard part. A hard part takes 30 seconds to do and last time I checked a hard part was a part of the haircut. Seems a little ridiculous

The older gentleman did a great job on my hair. Little on the expensive side but overall I was satisfied.

Wonderful place for a shave and a haircut. One of the few places where you can still get a great flat-top cut. They also have a really cute Yorkie that delights in entertaining you while you wait.

Best 3 barbers in roanoke are here and Kelly the previous manager from cost cutters is now there for anyone who needs to know where she went! Haircuts are $16 and half price for new clients! Come in and you will be so glad you did!

When it was owned by Ed, the quality was much higher. I have gotten 2 haircuts from the new owner, and the quality went down dramatically. She works so quickly that, when I get home, I have to spend 15 minutes fixing all the edges. She didnt listen to my instructions on what I wanted, and just did what she thought would look best. The price also increased from $13 to $16 for no apparent reason. I will not be going back.

Ed is now Melody but she carries on the tradition of a good haircut for a descent price. The only barber Ive found that still offers a straight razor shave! Seldom a long wait and easy parking.

Saw the signs for 1/2 for new customers, i asked if the 1/2 price was still in effect and she said yes for new customers it is and your not a new customer, Id never been in the place before in my life, kinda felt like I had to convince her of that. She was nice, hair cut was good, I got a hard part but when it came to pay she said it was $8 and $5 which made it $13, she charged me $5 just to give me a 15 second hard part, Ive never paid for a hard part any wear before, she said Ed the owner sets the prices and hes been charging that for 30 years, I find that hard to believe, wont be going back and i told her so.

This is no longer Eds as we all knew it for years. Ive been twice under the new barber / hair stylist. While she is very friendly and her resident dog very cute, I will not go back. On my first trip, I walked in and was the only one in the place. But she had to finish watching her YouTube or Facebook video before she even said hello or Ill be right with you. The trim itself was not bad, but a strange experience, especially when she went to trim my eyebrows without warning. The chair was not cleaned of the previous customer(s) hair. Since the trim was relatively okay, I decided to return one more time. I asked for a closer taper in the back and around the ears. When she was done, I might as well have had my bald head shaved versus just using clippers. Other acquaintances have shared similar experiences. The parking lot is empty; it used to be full when Ed and Mazz and crew were there. I hope she can learn from these posts, but I simply wont be going back. Will purchase my own clippers and guard and do my own again.

Have been there twice and both times the haircut was super quick, I had more detailed cuts at great clips, I had to fix missed hairs over the ears and edges. And price went from 16 to 20 because she said Im paying with a card. That is a 20% price increase, I know credit card fees are hight,,,but 20% ???hmmmm. Anyway, just felt ripped off. Not going back.
