I was super nervous about getting my year old beard trimmed after growing it out for so long. After alot of researching, I decided to give Beards and Shears a try. I was ecstatic with the results Megan Cline achieved with my beard. Also, the hair cut was top notch, with attention to details most places ignore. Im happy, my beard is happy, and most importantly my wife is happy. Definitely returning.

Amazing place to cut your hair and they really did an awesome job cutting it how it was back at home. I’m not from around here so it was nice to hear the tourist spots and things to do from the barber.

I retired last Mar. 2019. I have let my beard grow for 1 full yr. without trimming. Apprehensive about where to go for my first trim was major for me. After researching which barber in the valley to go to I chose Beards and Shears Barber. Not only was the beard trimming an absolute awesome job, the cleanliness, professionalism and customer service was exceptional. I’ve worked in public service for 35 + yrs and I expect good or great customer service and if I don’t get it I won’t tip as good, go back or recommend your service or product. Everything was perfect! I arrived and was instantly seated where I discussed my cut with Blaine who is an absolute doll. She quickly googled pictures to clarify my cut, and laughed with the other customers and I as she worked. I was in and out in twenty minutes with an excellently priced cut. I have an asymmetrical pixie with a fade.

Very nice three chair shop. I am new to the area and glad I found this place early on. If you have a beard this is where you want to go. If you dont have a beard this is where you want to go. The three ladies there are all extremely pleasant and experienced. You cant go wrong sitting in any chair. That is really something you dont see often! It has been rough trying to walk in last two times since they seem to be getting more appointments booked lately. So, just make an appointment and enjoy.

Been here a few times now. Today they were booked up, but worked me in for a quick cut between appointments. Very happy with my quick cut and that they were willing to accommodate me to work with my schedule. I dont see any reason to go anywhere else!

I walked in one day expecting a standard, run of the mill haircut, but wow, was I impressed. The atmosphere, the employees, the patriotic vibe, the professionalism; I felt at home. Ever since I first step foot in this place I felt welcome. Trying to find a place like this, when the barber I was used to going to is 8 hours away, made me feel at home. I have been going here since there was just 2 of them cutting hair. I have always had a great haircut and some whitty banter to pass the time.My schedule makes it hard to book ahead, so it started making it harder to get in as a walk in at times, which was disappointing, I tried to get them to give worse haircuts so they wouldnt be so busy, but instead they hired a 3rd person.Then they got even busier and moved into a bigger space.And they had the nerve to hire a fourth person to handle walk ins specifically.If you want to get the haircut you want every time this is not the place for you, if you like a random surprise Everytime you get your haircut by the same stylist, go somewhere else, this place is too consistent and predictable.

The girls here are awesome and down to earth. Love my haircut each time i come truly recommended them. Ive used all 3 ladys that work here and they all do a wonderful job.

They are very nice and welcoming, but the lady that cut my hair messed it up completely did not cut it like I told her and I kept telling her how I wanted it, I had to go to another barbershop to get it fixed pay twice. She did not give me a edge up like I asked and didnt do a proper fade. My hair is uneven on my head......Very upset dont go by the reviews of this place.

I always get a good cut and friendly attitude from the ladies at Beards & Shears. Ive been having them cut my hair and beard for the past 6 months after some lousy customer service at a 3 other local joints. Im balding and have thin hair to begin with, so I find keeping it pretty short works best, but I still want some style. While that request has resulted in problems elsewhere, Ive come out looking sharp after every B&S cut.

Great place to get a haircut and/or beard trim. Great atmosphere and they have complimentary drinks in the fridge. Its also not too expensive. I think I paid $30 for a haircut, beard trim, shampoo, and tip.

This is the best place in Roanoke to get a trim, excellent people and even better prices. This is the only barber shop for me!

Walked in with my 8 year old son to get two cuts and a beard trim. I was told they were all booked up for the day although there were three people working and one person waiting. I walked out to my truck to find a different barber and while I was looking I saw two people leave and no one go in. I went back in with my son and saw that there were three barbers there and only two customers. I asked if they would have time to cut only my sons hair and one of the barbers walked away from her customer and went to the barber who was not working and they started making a lot of rude gestures and I could not hear what they were saying. But the one barber went back to her customer and nobody ever responded to me. Left myself and my 8 year old son waiting for a response and never gave us a word in reply. My son finally asked why they never answered me and I simply answered that some people are just rude and they don’t deserve our business and we went somewhere else.

Only spent 10 minutes on my cut, which turned out very mediocre. Would recommend spending a little more and going somewhere else if possible. If they were busy and rushed it that wouldve been one thing, but I was the only one in the store so really no excuse.

I always see Blane to have my beard trimmed. Shes very friendly and I never have to wait very long. I recommend Beards and Shears

I was a walk in and went in for a faded comb over. When I got home to look at it I saw the fade was jagged and uneven on the sides. It looks more like something I would’ve done on my own at home. Okay environment, clean shop and the workers were alright. People who came in were all regulars who seemed to love the place and the workers, which is good. I wouldn’t recommend it myself though.

Small classy old school barber shop....hot towels and a straight razor face shave,l loved it, complimentary soda pop and old antique dressers for there station with really nice new old school looking barber chairs.prices where good diffently comparable to anyone in town. Ask if they do color and was told they only cut shave and wax, said its a chemical free shop ( which is fine by me ) but to wrap up my review I was 5 star happy I got exactly what I wanted in my hair cut and the straight razor shave was something I always wanted to try and loved it Thanks Angie

Walked in the other day to Beards and Shears and I had called ahead to see if I needed to book an appt. The girl said no and said come on by. I went by 25 minutes after my phone call and the girl said she was booked up and claimed she hadnt received any calls. I thought she was a little bit disrespectful too. She talked to me like I was stupid or something and she didnt even smile or say hello when I walked in. I had to say hello first. Supercuts got my business!

Today was the first time I have sat in a barbers chair in 20 some years. I have always used clippers and a guard on my head and been clean shaven or a short goatee. In October I decided to grow a full beard. The beard needed some tlc. I have been reading reviews for weeks and decided this was the place I should start. I was bit nervous, but 5 minutes in I knew I had found the right place! Ill see you next month!
