We had all (10) of the windows in our home replaced with beautiful triple pane windows from Mountainland Exteriors. I am amazed at how well the windows retain our heat/ cold and how quiet things are without the street noise coming in through the windows. Our installer, Stephen, did a beautiful job of installing the windows. I work from home and was amazed he could install all of my windows so quietly in a single day.My new windows look amazing!

Not sure how Randy got my previous review deleted but I’ll just keep reviewing until they get it deleted again. Do not do business with Mountainland Exteriors! If I could give them zero stars I would, it pains me that I have to even give them one star. The owner Randy’s son-in-law Jordan came to my home, said he noticed my roof looked in need of replacing and offered to do a bid. It was in fact an old roof and I was interested in hearing a bid so I allowed him to come in and take a look. He was nice enough, looked at the roof, came inside and sat down to discuss the bid. He told us the cost to remove the old roof and replace it would be around $10,000. We said we didn’t have that kind of money so no thanks. Jordan then proceeded to tell us how bad the shape of our roof really was and we really need to replace it. Fear tactics, you understand. We again said that we can not afford it. He then told us that they have a financing company and he could see if we qualify for financing that would require monthly payments instead of payment in full upfront. Our credit wasn’t great at the time and I told him as much but he insisted we try, “what’s the worst that could happen?” We gave him our information, he submitted our information to the financing company, and he told us we were approved for financing. We scheduled the work and they came out and replaced the roof. A few weeks later we get an aggressive call from Randy demanding payment in full. I was surprised, told him it was financed and said this must be some sort of mistake. He said there was no mistake, we never qualified for financing and if we didn’t pay $12,000 in full by the end of the week he would put a lien on our home. I told him that my bid said $10,000, not $12,000, as did my contract. He said that the roof was in worse shape that they realized and it had required more work. I told him that was ridiculous, I was never told about additional work and I wasn’t going to pay more than the contract even stipulated. I explained to him that his son-in-law Jordan had told me himself that it was financed and that I never would have agreed to the work had I been told that I was not approved. He basically called me a liar and again threatened to put a lien on my home if it wasn’t paid by the end of the week. You’ll notice from reading other reviews that he does this a lot. Tells people they are approved for financing, does the work, and then let’s them know they were never approved and demands payment. So don’t use this guy. I scrambled for days trying to find a bank who would loan me such a large sum in a personal loan. I was having no luck so I had my dad co-sign. I called Randy and told him I had the check. He came to my home, my husband made him sign a paper saying he was paid in full because I didn’t trust that he wouldn’t try to come after us for the other $2,000 that was never agreed on. Weeks later, after he was paid, i was surprised (maybe not so surprised since Randy is so completely dishonest) to find a letter in my mailbox stating that there was indeed a lien put on my home by Randy. When I called him to ask him why he put a lien on my home after he was paid he acted like it put on before payment was made but I knew he had done it after just to ruffle our feathers and cause us more inconvenience. I submitted a google review soon after this all happened and I got a Facebook message from someone I didn’t recognize. I opened it and it was Randy’s daughter confronting me for calling out her father and husband by name and telling me to take my review down. Yikes. Just avoid these people at all costs. You will regret doing business with them, I promise.

I agreed to a contract of two sliding doors as part of the condo association I live in which seemed like a good price. When I asked how long before installation, it was estimated at 6 weeks out. 2 months later I get a text asking for times install which we set up then no one showed so I contacted the installer and he said the doors weren’t there still.Around a month after that, I’m contacted asking about installing the doors again but my home is ready to be sold and I was anticipating getting the doors put in 6 weeks earlier to help show the home. Too late. The owner called threatening to go after the new home owner because he had a lien on it. The owner failed to take responsibility for his companies failure at installing in a timely manner. Things happen but 3 months later and you are coming to install. HORRIBLE COMPANY! Will never recommend or use again.

We had a really positive experience with Mountainland Exteriors. We had six windows replaced in our home. We couldn’t believe the difference in heat/cooling conservation the new windows provided. Also all six windows were installed in just one day! Randy is a really personable individual and worked with us very reasonably as we paid cash for our windows. Tom, the installer did a fantastic job and the windows looked beautiful. We would highly recommend this company - the combined warranty, price and quality are definitely unbeatable!

It is a pleasure to write a letter of recommendation for Randy Peck and his crew at Mountainland Exteriors. We purchased 15 windows of different sizes for our older home and are thrilled with the results. In addition to the quality insulation value the windows provide, we no longer hear traffic noise. That is a huge benefit since we live adjacent to a busy highway.Randys commitment to customer service and the professionalism of Tom (installer) are reasons alone to call Randy and request a quote. The windows were ordered and delivered on time.Tom is the unspoken hero for Mountainland Exteriors! Tom scheduled the installation appointment and worked non-stop on our home until the job was complete. No interruptions or excuses about other projects. Tom stayed on this job until it was complete. Tom removed all debris and left the home in better shape than he found it.To Randy, Tom, and the entire crew at Mountainland Exteriors - THANK YOU! It will be a pleasure to call for roofing and other exterior surfaces in the near future.

Beyond awful. We had our windows installed in mid August. The installers were fast, and friendly. However, one of the bathroom windows was broken. Literally installed broken with cardboard over it. We were assured that the window would be replaced in roughly 3 weeks time. Here we are in December, and the window is still not replaced. We have called several times, never getting anything resolved. 3 weeks ago we got a hold of Jordan, and an appointment was set for the window to be replaced. They told us December 6th. Not only was it not done, not one phone call to fill us in. After somewhere in the neighborhood of 8 phone calls, and 4+ months, we are nearly at a loss of what to do. Calling them no one ever takes ownership of the problem, and sees it thru. Tell us just enough to get us off the phone. Very disappointed.

We hired Mountainland Exteriors to replace our roof and our windows. Roof was done quickly and efficiently. A manufacturer issue caused a delay in the windows but Randy took ownership and resolved. The window installer, Tom, was awesome and pleasant to work with. Overall were very happy with Mountainland Exteriors on both projects.

I had my very old windows replaced in my home. The price was exceptionally low, so I was worried about the quality of the windows and the installation. I am so pleased with the windows that were installed. They are great windows, the exact ones I was promised. The installer was so good. He was polite and did an exceptional job installing the windows and cleaning up. I even had a wasp problem that he encountered and he still took care of the windows and in doing so blocked entry to the wasps. I would really recommend this company.

Completely untrustworthy. Do not believe a word Randy Peck says. Every expectation he set around scheduling was a bold faced lie. We signed in early November, but the windows werent installed until late January. He set completely unrealistic expectations around rebates. He quoted around a thousand when in reality it was a little over $200. As a professional window contractor such a wildly inaccurate statement is either deeply dishonest or just plain incompetence. His contract is predatory. There is a line that states that one must pay, even if they dont actually install your windows.Aside from that, his communication is terrible. I had to chase him repeatedly for any kind of update.

Ive put off reviewing this company because I offered a discount for a positive review. I just can’t bring myself to do it.Their practices are predatory to say the least.Bottom line, don’t let them rush you, get everything in writing, don’t believe what they claim you’re signing, don’t believe their quote, don’t believe their payment estimate, and DONT give them your credit card, as they’ll run it for whatever amount they please, and not what you actually agree on in writing, then claim they’ll give you a refund, but never get around to it.Heck, get a lawyer before you even hire these guys.I also recommend hiring literally anyone else.

Worst experience from the most dishonest people EVER!!! I hope you remember me you hurtful awful company!Listen if you do nothing else ever DO NOT DO ANY BUSINESS with Mountainland Exteriors! I had my roof replaced in Aug 2015 the way I got roped in was shady to say the least. The complaint on the BBB from another person confirms this is not a fluke they do a bait and switch and prey on people who have less than great credit. I had almost the same situation as the complaint on the BBB. I told them I could not pay for it and would need to qualify if I did not qualify then I would not be able to do the deal. I got the same call where Yes... You qualify and your good to go... Wrong, I got the call stating ok, were done I need payment! It was a shock and I was so scared to ruin my credit. I had to find another way to come up with payment. Yes, I paid them immediately. I feel so taken advantage of by this company and yes. I had many people in my neighborhood ask who did my roof and if they could have his number. I laughed and said NOT EVER. In fact. I have told as many people as possible this company is flat out awful! Consider yourself warned.UPDATE:The Response given from the owner is nonsense. Truly! Do your homework on this company it is not worth it I promise. After spending hours assisting another customer in a court case against this owner, I can reaffirm the terrible practices I experienced others also experienced. Enough said.

My aging parents were in desperate need of new windows, so the journey begun, I solicited quotes from several companies. My brother stumbled upon Mountainland Exteriors at Taylorsville days. Can I say how happy he did. Jordan was my 2nd to last estimate, he made me and my Mom feel so comfortable and addressed all our cares and concerns we went with them. Although slightly higher in price than a few quotes we are happy we chose them. Tom then came to install the windows he was so polite and professional made quick of his work and cleaned as he went from window to window. The final process of payment was made easy by Randy coming back out inspecting the fine job and picking up the check. We even had one of the competitors say we got a great deal and they were impressed with the windows. (this was when they stopped by to see if we were still looking for windows) Friendly people, great product and the windows now open and close. A heartfelt thank you for working around our schedule and doing an awesome job.

Horrible. I feel like this company is very unreliable and dishonest. In October 2018, I had a bid, they told me they would be our in 2 weeks to do the job. I paid a deposit because it seemed like a good idea. A month later, they still had not showed. So I called, and asked what happened. I was told by Randy that my contract had been misfiled. So I asked for a refund, because at that point I had decided to go with someone else. He told me that he would refund me the deposit. He never did. It has been 5 months. I have called repeatedly, and I keep getting the runaround. I am so frustrated. The next call will be from my lawyer. If you want to work with some honest and reliable, look elsewhere, you wont find it with this company.

Jordan was great in every way! But, so are most sales people.1.)Bottom line is, we had water in the house upon the first rain. We have a sun room which requires a transition from the installed roof to a lower existing roof. This was missed! First rain, our sun room was pouring water inside the house (for the first time, ever!). I had to go up on the roof and watch how the water was getting in(in the pouring rain, of course). I didn’t contact them about this because it was easy for me to fix. The roofing contractor could have easily checked, but didn’t.2.) Contractor slammed his ladder up against our gutter to access our roof for installation, breaking the vinyl gutter. This broken gutter was left, (clearly broken), once the job was done. Surprised it was left broken, by the guaranteed professionalism of the contractor, I called Jordan to notify him that it must be replaced....our roof was done June 15th and 2 days ago, October 27th, I broke down and fixed it myself.3.) There were other problems, but these were made good by Jordan covering for the contractors shortfalls. The entire roof looks good, but it took some doing from my side. I felt like I had to police the job, like a foreman, (but I wasn’t getting paid to be a foreman).4.)Pricing was better than competitor, but for the troubles, I would have spent thousands more to know all was done right.

Do not do business with this company. Their sales tactics are dishonest and predatory. Randy scammed my parents into redoing their roof under the guise that what they were signing was for him to do a quote on how much it would cost to redo the roof. A few weeks later before they had even made any kind of appointment to redo the roof my parents woke up to men ripping off their roof. Only later did my parents find out that he Randy had lied to them about what they signed, turns out he had them sign a full contract to do the roof when he told them it was just for a quote. Now Randy is trying to use the legal system to get more money from my parents after he had scammed them.

Great experience replacing our roof and gutters with Mountainland!! 2 main words that come to mind to describe them is efficient and professional. They took down 2 levels of shingles and replaced with a beautiful roof in only 2 days using a lot of men who worked very hard and efficiently together. My neighbors couldnt believe how fast and well they did because usually you have to put up with the noise and mess for at least a week to get a new roof done. Not so with Mountainland. Both the roof and gutters were done according to the original scheduling, no changes or delays. They were also very kind and patient in working with us with a payment glitch (our financing didnt come through as fast as we thought, it took an extra couple of weeks, but they just held off on the gutters until we were able to pay them then quickly got the gutters installed after we did). I thought this was going the extra mile because a lot of companies would give you a lot of grief over something like that but they were kind and patient. They also did an EXCELLENT job cleaning up after themselves.

Randy, the owner, came out to give the estimate and signed a contract to replace, not just repair, my leaky skylight. He ensured me that his people would do a great job. He assessed the problem that the skylight needed replacing from the base of the roof in its entirety. When his workers arrived, Jason, the guy in charge, said that the roof was quite brittle so they recommended just replacing the skylight dome itself and then seeing if this fixed the problem. He left instructions to call if it didnt fix the leak and that they would come back and replace it completely if that was the case. Of course, when it continued to leak, I contacted Jason, who was very rude and dismissive of me and never came back to fix the leak, after taking my money. Jason was very threatening and unprofessional - I have his text messages to prove it. He also invented a witness who he said was there to witness an imaginary conversation, despite his witness being outside on the roof with music playing when he and I were inside looking up at the skylight. Edit 9/12: Randy has since contacted me and was willing to find a solution to our problem, and was far more professional than his employee.

We had all of our front Windows replaced from this company about 18 months ago. The frame around the window has already faded from white to a yellow. The caulking they used has turned bright yellow and is peeling. Talked to the owner he said we could get them replaced under the warranty. Now I am not able to get ahold of anyone when I call or text. This has been going on for months now and I am absolutely fed up. I would never recommend this company to anyone! We are going to be replacing our back windows soon and will be going somewhere else.*Update*Mountainland still has not helped resolve this problem. We have even tried to get with the manufacture to get them replaced and nothing. I think all businesses involved are shady and do not hold up to thier word. Now we are stuck with bad windows! our two upstairs matching windows are not even the same style of window frame and still are an ugly offwhite/yellow. Worst costumer service and warranty issues I have ever had.
