I have been taking my vehicles to Tunex for about 5 years now. Even when they’re busy Steve and Dana make me feel welcome and will do everything possible to take care of my car and truck issues. Today the brakes needed to be replaced. I told Dana that it was ok if they kept the truck overnight. About two hours after I dropped off the truck I received a text that the truck was ready. I’ve never been disappointed with the repairs, service and care I’ve received. These guys are great!

I cant even thank Dana and his team enough. They were pleasant to work with and honored the warranty with absolutely no issues. They fixed the catalytic converter and saved us 1600.00. I am so grateful for their work!!!

I have gone to them 3 times now for repairs. We had some unexpected findings come up and they handled it very well. The mechanic did a great job fixing the challenging issues with my airbag. Before I took my vehicle to tunex I called and got other quotes and tunex was much cheaper than the other places I called. I will be back to them again for any future auto needs.

I got a flat tire and the tow truck took me here. They dont carry many types and didnt have any in my size. They put on my spare for no charge so I could go to a tire shop. Definitely above and beyond what they needed to do.

This was the first time since moving to Utah in the past 6 months that we have had work done on our car without anyone trying to sell us on anything. No additional “discovered” problems with our car, or “This is known to wear out and you should get it replaced,” or something else costing us an arm and a leg. They fixed exactly what was wrong with our car and said our vehicle looked great and if we have problems with anything else to come back. 1000% recommend and super friendly. The reviews are real this place takes care of you and doesn’t try to gouge your wallet.

Tunex has been great and treated me well. I really appreciate that they do not try to sell me services that I don’t need. Multiple times, they’ve told me I don’t need service yet, and when I have had them service my brakes, they did a good job at a fair price. I plan to keep coming back.

They were very professional and honest and upfront. My total was cheaper than what they initially quoted me, which was a great surprise, and they were open at explaining to me why it was. They were kind and did a great job on my car! It runs nice and smooth and I felt like I got a good deal and was treated with respect.

I have waited forever to meet a mechanic that feels like a friend! My Volvo XC90 had an engine light pop on right before the weekend. They not only got me in the very next day but did a thorough job working through the problem. He took the time to discuss the possible cause with me and taught me ways to keep my car in even better condition. I took my 1994 Chevy Blazer in to get the AC repaired. They let me know up front that it could be expensive is they couldn’t use some of the old parts because they were corroded or broken. They went out of their way to make sure they were gentle and didn’t break any parts and saved me over $600 on the repair. Honest and professional abs will be going back again for sure.

They took the time to avoid charging me with new parts by doing a simple check on my windshield. Was out of there in 15 minutes. Very professional and highly recommended.

First time in Tunex and had a great experience! They helped me and continued to update me on my car. Really appreciate how well they did and how warm their customer service was!Update: I’ve gone to Tunex two other times because my car died on the road. First time I needed to get my fuel pump changed. At first, they told me it was going to very EXPENSIVE. I was going to try and take my car somewhere else, but then they called and said they searched for a cheaper one and was able to fix it $600 less! I thought that was awesome and really appreciated them doing that for that.The second time I went in they told me my fuel pump was faulty and that they would replace it for free since it wasn’t my fault. I really loved and appreciated their willingness to help me out. Great set of people!

I called and asked for a quote on an oil change and a transmission fluid change. Steve who helped me seemed to have a good calming energy about him. The price ended up lower than the quote which I appreciated. The service was pretty quick and I was back on the road in a jiffy.

They always make sure I understand what they are doing, and even if my wife goes I don’t feel that they will try anything shady.

Check engine light was on for catalytic converter. Not a cheap repair traditionally. They got that and two other small things fixed for a reasonable price $1098. I know this may seem like a lot, but from my research it was fair and completed properly, and the same day. They also have a guarantee on parts and service in their waiting area that just makes you feel a little better too. I have gone to cheaper places, but always kind of wonder about the integrity of the job completed just due to how they carry themselves, if that makes sense. The service was great too. The gentlemen at the counter was polite, and efficient. I would go back.

I have taken different vehicles to tunex many times and have always been pretty happy with their service. I dont know that their prices are any better than anywhere else though. What made me decide to leave a five-star review today is that about a month ago they misdiagnosed what they thought was a transmission problem and sent me to a transmission specialty shop. The transmissions shop sent me back to tunex saying there was nothing wrong with my transmission. Tunex then corrected the small problem for free and didnt make me pay anything. So I was impressed by that. This is the first time they have ever misdiagnosed anything and I have brought cars there a lot. So its a rare problem that they fixed at no charge.

Friendly, professional service. They do quality work and communicate any problems without being pushy. I had not been there for a few years but came back even though its a little out of my way for the quality service they provide.

I had another garage tell me that there was a wiring problem that was going to be pricey to fix. I took it into this tunex they told me all that was wrong were two turn signal bulbs needed to be replaced and only charge me for that service. Given the horror stories you hear about garages trying to sell unneeded services, this was a pleasant experience.

I love this place! They don’t have huge line so I can do stuff on Saturdays if I need to without an appointment like on the spot registration renewal like I did today. Maybe it’s the location why they don’t have a huge line but it certainly isn’t the service and professionalism, which are both great!

Im always suspicious as a single woman who walks into a mechanic shop. I have been through the extra stuff that is suddenly wrong with my vehicle...taken advantage of. I was welcomed back into the shop and the mechanic showed me the problem. AWESOME 🙂, I need visuals. I then waited 2 hours, in the lobby, for it to get fixed and the office men were nice and made good conversation. A very good experience and I know I will be back again for my oil change and anything else that a car can dish out! Thanks

I get all of my service and repairs done here for the past few years. Steve and Dana are always friendly and good company, and they’re really straightforward and honest when it comes to what does or doesn’t need to be done. I’ve never had a problem with the quality of any of their work, and the pricing is pretty typical. This is a lot more than just an oil change place.

I wasn’t going to leave a review but since they specifically requested one after our last visit, I hope they really want the feedback.We’ve taken our cars here twice, one for a major mileage inspection/service, and the other for a routine inspection/oil change. Since most service work done is unnoticeable, you always hope the place is reputable and has done a good job. Our last experience has left me questioning the quality of their service and work.When we dropped the car off, we specifically asked them to fill the tires and they affirmed that that was part of their routine service. Well, when picked up the car after they had finished, the tire pressure lights were still on so we filled them ourselves. All tires were low and one was 10 psi off. I wondered if perhaps one has a leak but since filling them they have been fine.I’m hoping this was an isolated incident as I know everyone is human but it does make me question their reliability, especially since it was something we specifically requested. Apart from from this, both times we’ve been warmly greeted, both times their time estimate for completion was underestimated (it took them almost twice as long as they stated each time.) While everyone enjoys speedy service, I would prefer reliability over speed, in time quoted and in quality of service rendered.

Used Tunex for the first time and had a great experience! Quoted me at $390 for a job but when I came to pick my car up they told me the total was $190. Told me it didn’t take them as long as expected and only charged me for the time it took to complete the job. Loved their honesty and professionalism, not knowing much about cars I wouldn’t have known if it was a $390 job or a $190 job.I will definitely be going back to Tunex with any vehicle issues I encounter down the road. Staff was friendly and the service was fast.

They completed the repair on my vehicles master cylinder recently. There was a problem with the part soon after the repair, but they corrected it right away under warranty. Very happy with their service!

The service was amazing! Very warm and welcoming! They were very honest. I needed to get immissions done, however, I had the light of doom (check engine light) that would not allow it to pass. I was running errands that day and my truck had already expired tags thanks to covid from the month before. However, the guy there suggested I get a temporary registration, and then next Saturday, arrive early to get my truck in for diagnostics. I followed their advice and not only were they able to replace the sensors that needed work, but they also were able to do an oil change before the end of the day. My truck runs so much nicer and the doom light is gone! All in all, I only had to pay an additional $6 for the temporary registration, it was well worth it. Price was fair and service was amazing! I came here clear from Eagle Mountain because of their honesty, service and quick turn around. Thank you!

Needed brake repairs on a car we’re selling and they provided a number of options at various price points. They were not pushy in selling the whole shebang but provided info and let me make an informed decision to meet me needs at the time. They seemed very knowledgeable and had good pricing. They completed the work quickly and so far it seems to be a quality job. I went here based on other reviews and it seems they are consistent in providing a great customer experience. I will use them again.

We WOULD HAVE used their service had Steve, the apparent owner, not provided the WORST customer service ever. We bring a car in wait a good 15 min before even getting acknowledged (first sign we should have just left) get told it will be 25 or so min and watch as he helps another customer and says oh your car will only be about 15 min so Ill get you done before their car (ours). Who does that? We were their first and you think its ok to now make us wait 45 min? WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE. You sir are a terrible business owner and need to take a basic customer service class.

I have only had awesome experiences with Tunex of Riverton. I drive a 2001 Ford Ranger and she Tunex has kept her running in prime condition. The customer service is unbeatable. I recommend Tunex of Riverton to EVERYONE I know!

I went in to have new brakes and a tune up done on my Tahoe. As I was told by a mechanic that it needed to be done. Tunex checked my brakes and rotors and checked to see if I needed a tune up. They determined I didnt need anything done to my vehicle for at least another 25,000 miles. They gave me some advice to make the engine run smoother and sent me on my way free of charge. They were very professional and took their time explaining everything to me. I will be bringing all my vehicles to them in the future.

Customers that came in after, but told they would be serviced first; While I was standing there. Was not asked if this was OK. Not only was I waiting in line for some time that customers stacked up after me, my time was not treated as a equal valued customer. Poor business owner period.Reply: Lies, I was told it was an older car and would take 25-30 mins. Next customer in line then walks to the front desk, this is where you are 100% wrong. Quote, sense your car will be newer we can get you in first. Never asked if I was ok with that?? Sorry but that would upset anyone customer.

Very friendly staff and fair prices

I went in for an emissions test and on the spot renewal. They got me in and out in less than 30 minutes. That means a lot with how busy life can be.

Very nice people. Not to much of a wait time. I went to get the emmissions done because they were close to work. The place was clean and the people were all very friendly and knowledgeable. Price was fair. My only problem was another customer was allowed to sit in there talking on his phone without wearing a mask which was mandated. I thought he should have been asked to out one one.

3,000 dollars to get some engine work done. 50 miles down the road and it was worse! They now said I needed a new engine or crankshaft. Wish they would of told me that before excepting my payment. Should of at least givin my money back for terrible work. Their advise was just to sell it or trade it in. Most likely because they didnt want to tear into it again.

I did some frontend work on my truck that really messed up the alignment. I had installed a SPC adjustable upper control arm that required additional adjustment. The guys at Tunex did a great job with the alignment. I am glad I chose Tunex.

I usually always hate getting an oil change because most of my experiences have been really awful with other car shops, but this location specifically has always treated me with respect and has always done a good job. This was my first Tunex experience and my last. The person I assume was the manager got angry when we said we couldnt wait their hour wait time and wanted to leave the service bay. When I asked him to open the bay door so I could drive out, he got snarky and at first wouldnt open the door. He then proceeded to harass me as I drove out.Edit: reply to your comment; it wasnt unannounced your shop help guided me into your bay. Its not hard to drive in a straight line through the bay. And you had to stop for a few minutes to open a door? It literally takes 2 seconds to press a button.

If I could give this place for than 5 stars I would!!! They were so professional and nice! They didn’t take advantage of me because I was a girl and didn’t know anything about cars. In fact, they taught me how to check my oil filter and how to check my oil. They looked pretty busy, and in about 30-45 minutes, they changed my oil. Thank you Tunex!
