One of the BEST experiences I have ever had! J.D was the BEST customer service representative that I have ever encountered! His knowledge and efficiency is impeccable! My credit card was having issues and he let me leave a cash deposit when no other u haul would. I Definately would recommend this u haul and J.D.

Wow!!! I am so impressed!! I have driven u-haul trucks cross country for at least 25 years... I came in on Friday and made a reservation... No line... Covid approved as I do have cancer so I am very in tune to places that still require masks and social distancing.... But the diamond in the rough is the man that helped me make my reservation Andy, on Friday.. Good Friday may I say... This was the agent to rent my truck on Saturday and the same agent that I returned the truck to... Thank you Andy.. times have been difficult and you made something that has been so stressful, stress-free!! Thank you Andy!!

Did you know they have a whole FREE BOX section?!?!?!!! I have been in this facility a few times but each time theyve gone above & beyond for me. Today I walked in & was looking at boxes for a min or two, THEN a customer told me they were putting boxes in the free box area & asked if I would just like to have theirs? Um, YESSSSSS..... An employee by the name of Josh also offered to bring what was already in the free area! He was kind & helpful, & patient cuz we were loading boxes in the wind... I walked in & literally had 3 people helping within 2 minutes & 2 were customers!!! I recommend this location for the employee and the service but also for the neighborhood and the people that are kind 🙂💙 I grew up here. From 4-5th grade to high school graduation from RRHS, in the area by Southern and Unser. Its mostly good people & for that I love this area. This place is just a reflection of that, good & kind people that acted about helping. 💙💙💙
My mom needed a unit and she rented on here. She paid for the deposit and got her access card. Im not sure if there was a misunderstanding with the unit and when it would be ready to use. I went that same night to put stiff for her in the storage unit. There was s company lock on the door. It was after hours so I called the number on the door. I was expecting the person on the other end to say i could move in tomorrow, which would have been fine with us. But he said give me 30 minutes and I be right there. He was very nice and helpful. There was some other people that pulled up who obviously just rented a unit and the manager was very nice and helpful to them as well. I rented a truck back in January it was the same young man that helped me then. He was the only there first thing on a Saturday morning and he already had a line of people building up. He stayed calm and helped each one of us. He hooked up trailers check Ed trucks and got us a taken care of in a timely manner and never lost his cool.

We reserved our uhaul WEEKS ago and even though I told them a 20ft or 26ft uhaul trailer WEEKS ago I got a call the day before our move that they only had a 15 foot trailer available, we have a 3 bedroom house with a green room that absolutely wont fit in a uhaul. Will never give uhaul our business again.

In preparation of my move from Rio Rancho to Kansas City, I made several trips to this location for boxes, a couple vehicles for trash dumping, and had a hitch installed & rented a pull behind trailer. This staff, and especially the manager, are awesome! He personally helped me and answered many of my questions. I would highly recommend this location for any of your moving & storage needs.
If you want to put yourself at risk for covid do go here. Even when confronted the would not wear masks. Time frame today when capital hill has widespread outbreak and growing. If I did not pre pay I would have left. I have to be with my elderly father in a few days who is high risk if he gets covid. Their disrespect for others is disgusting and infuriating.

U-haul has been so patient as our moving plans changed several times but they were so accommodating.
Had a trailer scheduled for months to pick up at the location at Coors and I-40. A week before our trip, I get a text saying I had to pick it up and return it to the store in rio rancho. No one notified me of this change and I canceled my reservation. I was not going to drive 40 minutes to Rio rancho and 40 minutes back prior to an already long road trip.
Got a hitch installed. It looks good and the people were very professional.
The service was great and fast and very helpful.
I drove the U-haul a total of 11 miles and was charged a cleaning fee for mud that the front wheels spayed on truck because the truck does not have front mud flaps...everything else was spotless. Being that it rained recently and the store is connected to a dirt road and being that there are no front mud flaps, this store does a great job weaseling an extra $25 from you. Dont rent from them if roads are wet ...I should have listened to the reviews and gone somewhere else.

Not to be trusted. The manager and another employee admitted to me that they were not to be trusted. Not only does the manager fail to understand how business is done but also fails miserably at customer service. The manager knowingly stole money from me on mileage and gas. And admitted to doing so. But refused to rectify my bill. In fact she hid the itemization from the screen that I signed. Fortunately U-Haul corporate office does understand what theft is and what good business practices are and did reimburse me for the theft. Im forwarding the pictures and relevant information to the proper authorities.
Their RV storage “secured area” was broken into and several RVs vandalized two days before they notified police. They knew about it and did not inform customers. Their prices are higher than their competition because of their “security,” but they were grossly negligent in protecting the assets and n their care. Sabrina Montoya, their manager would prefer to lose customers than to offer a discount failing to compensate for the additional risk that her failure to protect her clients belongings has caused. I do not recommend this company.
Excellent customer service, great running rental trucks and reasonable prices, which i found to be cheaper than their competitors. Thank you Donovan for the excellent service. This location and staff deserves 10 gold stars.

I started an online reservation for a storage unit, but the drafted an incorrect rental agreement. I sent them an email, and waited 5 days, and no one got back to me. I called the location twice, on two separate occasions and no one answered the phone. I tried their live chat, and they never responded. Then I called customer service and got the rudest service agent. Finally, I called the Guardian Storage location on Abrazo and Unser, they gave me the first months rent free, and had me in and out in 15 minutes. Nicest lady working there too, named Lisa. I recommend going there, and not to this or any U-Haul storage.
Clean and appears to be safe storage
I called because I saw my final payment which I wasn’t happy about. They charged me an additional $25 dollars plus tax for a “cleaning” fee and honestly I think I was charged for extra mileage . When I called to discuss the issue of the cleaning fee, I let them know I went as far as taking photos of the inside of the cabin and the inside of the truck to prove it was clean when doing the self return. The manager to this location who I spoke with about the issue was supposedly the one who “swept” out “asphalt” and “debris” from the back of the truck which I only rented a 10ft and did two loads. She refused to refund me the cleaning fee which I know was unnecessary to begin with, she was unhelpful in the fact that she wasn’t going to do anything about it. She stated that everyone who doesn’t sweep the back of the truck (even though nothing is back there) gets charged a cleaning fee. Honestly something this small should be part of the job knowing people are out there breaking their backs to move a whole house spending loads of money for moving supplies already. The last thing anyone wants to deal with after a long day of sweating/moving is the U-Haul place having a problem “sweeping” dust out from the back. I would understand if there was a ton of trash or if there were a ton of items that had dirt/mud/grass, etc. however nothing of that sort I moved. Don’t even bother renting from this location. Terrible customer service. Oh and a heads up, if you do decide to rent from this place (which you shouldn’t) it is now required to have a secondary contact where they will call them waiting for an answer or their name to be said in the voicemail before they can list them. I sat there while they called 4 people trying to list a secondary contact. Just don’t even bother. Save the time and money and go somewhere else.

They have no clue what so ever what they are doing. They had to change are reservation because they didnt have it ready, made my wife and I start from scratch, delaying us from getting to our duty station. Most unprofessional and disgusting experience Ive had in my life. A guy with bicycle gloves keeps switching computers. The heavy short hair guy is putting the zip code into the security code place and doesnt know what hes doing. Makes uhaul look like a trash company. Uhaul can take its Rio Rancho locations and do you know what with it.

I called this location on 2/8/16 at 11:20am. I needed to rent a trailer from here to California. The lady that answered was really rude and blunt. Like I was bothering her. So I called the U-Haul at 1463 Rio Rancho NM 87124. They are really friendly and helpful. I will never call Veranda Dr. location again and will tell friends and family as well.

Terrible service, made a reservation for a truck and it took 30 minutes in line just to pick it up despite being there earlier than my reserved time. Plus no apology or explanation for the delay. After 2 cross country moves, this is the worst uhaul we’ve ever been to
In October I had a very unexpected move from Rio Rancho NM to Peoria, AZ. I moved all my personal items into 2 uhaul containers and towed them from and two the Uhaul center in Rio Rancho NM on 10/22/2018 with our truck. I had thought to have them shipped to Glendale Arizona due to logistics though since I did not have a permanent home decided to keep them stored at the Rio Rancho facility to save money and figure a long term plan.On January 1st I found our residence in Peoria, and on January 2nd called Uhaul and verified that we could come on the weekend to pick up and access the Uhaul Containers to coordinate all of our stuff to Arizona for our new home. I was told it was not an issue I was given the hours and arranged to call ½ prior to arrival to ensure a easy transition.I called again on 1/3 to ensure we were good to go. I had arranged for authorized pick up with my Husband who was just going to be in the Rio Rancho area just for this reason and over the weekend only. I needed to make sure we were all set. I was again assured there would be no issues.I called Friday night 1/4/2019 to see if we could head over to the location and was told unfortunately my PODs could not be found or record of my order. This is when everything went downhill. I was not expecting this and did not have my paper work readily available. The gentleman told me not to worry if we could come on Saturday he would look into it.That evening I found my paper work and promptly called on Saturday. With the order number they were able to locate our history but had no record of the containers being on site. We communicated all day and advised of the urgent matter. He said he had to wait for someone on Sunday to come and go thru all the containers but not to count on it due to the forklift not working properly but Sunday they would have more propane and hopefully be able to assist us. This would be our last day of availability on the matter. That evening I contacted uhaul on fb and called in my concerns. They said they would have someone follow up with me asap but could be up to 3days.I called uhual on Sunday and was told there was no one available to research the matter or run the forklift I would have to wait. I explained my situation and the urgency as this was the only weekend I have a way to get my stuff. He told me he had no options since they still had no record of my things.On Monday 1/7 I got a call from the warehouse manager for the location asking if I was ready to ship my container. I was completely appalled. I need my stuff. She told me that nothing she could do at this point let go ahead and order the shipment so I could get them sooner. I explained that I did not have the money for shipment. She said to put a credit card on file that would create the shipment regardless if it would go thru. Then to work it out and get it resolved before pick up.Then I still had no response from a manager from FB or corporate or the local office I called her back on 1/11 to find out the what to do. I was informed she would reach out and see. I got a call back from her and she advised me she got approval for $50 off for failure to deliver.I want to say she tried her best throughout and mean no ill will to her. But I am appalled at what has happened. I cannot afford nor was planning on spending $880 for the shipment of my containers. I did everything on my part to ensure I got my stuff. I am not sitting here in a home with no beds, winter clothes, kitchen everything I own besides the initial suitcases I packed for me and my family are in there! And now I cant even try to just coordinate an option to not ship now that they are shippedwith payment waiting based on the recommendation of your representative, and no resolution from UhaulAnd the lack of response from Uhaul is very frustrating.Jacque Walker

The only thing youll be hauling at this uhaul is your own a$# right out the door the moment you have the misfortune of meeting the shrewd, angsty, un-accommodating, poor imitation of a manager that runs this place. There is little doubt in my mind that if she was to look up customer service in the dictionary today it would be her first encounter with the concept. I can only imagine one has to put a serious amount of energy and effort into being such an antithesis of helpful and friendly. Seriously, CHILL OUT, youll live longer. And there wont be a rippling wake of negativity trailing you wherever you go.You might be thinking to yourself... self maybe this fella just caught her on a bad day. Sadly you are mistaken. I (along with other colleagues) have had many run ins with her. All of a similarly unsavory nature. So bad in fact that it caused us to have to move our business elsewhere after attempting to make compromises and appease her completely illogical vendetta towards our completely reasonable needs for slightly abnormal accommodations. I also know of two other people who have had business with this uhaul with no ties to me who have had similarly terrible experiences. No, Im afraid awful service is the rule with her, not the exception.Heed my words, or if you are braver than I, feel free to go in and behold this ornery beast for yourself. If nothing else it will make for a memorable story for you to pass down to posterity. The tale of that time many moons ago, when you did battle against the cantankerous cave dweller of the Southern BLVD Uhaul!
Worst customer service. Did not confirm rental days needed until after agreement was printed. Then found four different charges. Still trying to resolve. Never rent from here.
