I lived at The Mark for 10 years and Staff was very helpful and kind. Maintenance always kept the yards and landfill clean. The lawn was done every 2-3 days. You didnt mind paying your rent because you could see where your money was being put into the complex (painting, clubhouse). As more people moved in with children, maintenance never complained about picking up trash or having to help someone at the apartment complex. All Staff seemed sincere and eager to make life easier for you at The Mark Apartments. It is also very spacious! If I ever move back to Mississippi I will go to The Mark before going to any other complex. I loved my home!

OLDER PROPERTY...PLUS: Attentive Staff/Management. Awesome Accessible Environment.MINUS: #1. There is a SERIOUS RENOVATION needed over the entire property. #2. There is a SERIOUS RE-EVALUATION needed in vetting the Type of Residents (Application Process Overhaul). #3. Though there are pet receptacles available, the Pet Policy needs to be re-evaluated (Residents DO NOT pick up after their pets). #4. Though Excessive Garbage Dumping, the Maintenance/Groundskeeper is OUTSTANDING. #5. Due to the negative activity bred by outside environmental activity and the type of residents in apartment community (i.e., Bugs, Parking Lot Trash, Automobile Graves), there is a property care decline. THIS PLACE HAS THE POTENTIAL TO BE SO MUCH MORE IF THE PROPERTY MANAGEMENT OWNERS WOULD INVEST IN A COMPLETE OVERHAUL; $1000.00+/month should guarantee better facilities conducive to TODAY. Fyi. all Rent Money isnt Good Money if it disrupts peace, progress and safety! THANKFUL FOR THE MANAGER (SJ)...she is the only reason I stayed for as long as I did; a Good, Attentive Person with her hands severely tied! She has the capabilities to turn THE MARK around!

The ladies at the front office are always nice and friendly and made you feel welcomed. Before moving in the only problem I had was that the toilet seats and sinks were rusted out but as soon as I called about it. The maintenance man was over there right away to fix it. An honest mistake and he was nice and friendly. So I know my stay here is going to be great.

The maintenance guy Patrick done an awesome job fixing our A/C. He took his time and fixed it properly. He did not half fix the problem, he removed 3 air filters and they was nasty. It shows things was not getting fixed until he came. I just wanted to say thanks Patrick for all your hard work on our apartment. All so Robert I just wanted to say thanks for all your hard work by keeping the grounds clean. And being so kind and polite by helping when we are in need. Please prIse these to gentlemen because they really deserve it.

I submitted a list of things that needed taking care of and the maintenance crew did a remarkable job completing all of my needs.

The outside of the Apartment Homes are amazing! However, the upkeep of the inside does not match the rent charged. See pictures attached below. The Apartment manager was aware of these conditions but did nothing.

My parents and brother lived here for 6 months. However, my brother passed away unexpectedly and suddenly at the hospital after suffering a stroke. It was too painful for my parents to stay at the home they lived with my brother so they decided to move. The management office has been so helpful and empathetic during my familys time of loss. We are forever grateful for their timely service and management throughout the entire process. These are good people running this property and we cant praise them enough for reminding us humanity still exists in our community. God bless yall!

The office staff was very nice and helpful with the move in. The apartments are nice and spacious. My only complaint is my upstairs neighbor who has a dog and is very noisy. I really feel a dog that size should be in a downstairs unit. I’ve actually contemplated breaking my lease due to the noise. Otherwise I like the apartment and location.

Rent was too high ...for that amount of rent there shouldnt have been a wait time for maintenance other then that is was a quiet place close to everything.. there was always a water leak so water was always had to be turn off but other then that everything was good great people in the office the guys that work in maintenance was cool and very helpful ...

Great service all the time

Everything is okay, but nothing overwhelmingly wonderful. I had to have maintenance come fix a couple things upon my move in and there is water and mud all surrounding my patio which is messy and unsightly. The distance from the parking lot to my unit made moving in a pain, but otherwise everything is okay. Maintenance was quick to come whenever I called.

Just moved in and I really like it. The office staff has been truly wonderful. Mrs. Yannet has a way of making you feel all warm and fuzzy inside. She is just delightful (not exaggerating just stop by and see for yourself). I will update in about a month.

Good place I been living here almost a year now and maintenance is kind of slow and they keep uping the rent for no reason honestly for the price that were paying here apartments should look a little nicer on the insides and there is a pet rent each month thats crazy high but its quiet and within walking distance of Kroger an other stores. the office staff is nice and helpful the pool is awesome and the gym is cool too now that the AC is fixed really the only neg I have to say is the rent amount keeps changing going up

Apartments nice, air just wasn’t working when I moved in and minor things but other than that it’s nice I love itUpdate 7/27/19 I love my apartment so far they did come out and put in a window unit until they fix the issue . The issue is now fixed thank God and Brittany called and check daily seemed like to make sure the issue has been resolved. It is so peaceful and quite here. I absolutely love coming home from work

We lived here for 9 months. Overall this place was a good experience as 4* indicate. Some pros and cons:Pros: Good staffs, slow maintenance but OK, care about the residentsCons: Upstairs neighbors making too much noise at night, some young folks returning after parties talking loud at night.

I gave a 3 star because our heat situation isnt resolved yet. However, Maintenance came right away to check it out. We must have a new thermostat and it must be ordered. Mr. Eddie showed us how to use emergency heat if we get cold. I do love our staff, and they are so sweet to us! Ill come back with a 5 star when we are resolved!

Nice large apartment but old. Cabinets not in great shape, different bulbs in same fixture and one for outside not working. Slider to patio hard to close and all windows are very dirty. Location is perfect everything is close and nice size patio.

Ive been leaving at the Mark for almost two years now. Things kinda started off really rough. We had more issues than I care to count. However, things have finally ironed themselves out. I enjoy the friendly atmosphere with the office staff. One of the down falls leaving at the Mark Apartments is the increase in rent every time we resign our lease agreement which is usually every 6 months. Now sure I can understand the increase in rent if the company had updated appliances and cabinets but everything is outdated EVERYTHING!!! Just being honest! They pretty much keep the landscaping looking good.

I just move here and so far it’s a great place to call home. I only had problems with my ac unit and trying to get a cycling fan put in my front. But it’s quiet here staff are nice

So far its a great place I just moved in and they fixed everything that was messed up and they are very nice in the office and very helpfulUpdate I been here a few months now and I noticed a lot of people sneaking in to the pool at night that dont live here and the security guard that supposed to monitor has not been seen around I havent seen 1 time. With the amount of rent being paid this place should be in great shapeMostly everything is great just rent really high and no bills include they should have at least one bill included or at least have wifi Ill most likely try to find cheaper place when my lease is up

Love it, the apartment is spacious, the patio is huge, bedrooms are nice and cozy.

Apartments are dated. The staff is nice but when a smoker moved into the apartment above me they said there was nothing that could be done for me. They suggested some spray I could use to tone down the smell of cigarettes. The spray did help but second hand smoke causes cancer and the spray is not going to fix that. These apartments are four to a unit. It would be easy to make them smoking/non-smoking.The garbage bin is often full and the people here just throw the trash on the ground around it.I would suggest if you are a person who does not smoke and does not like to look at garbage bags look elsewhere for your next home.

As a guy, I’m pretty easy to please but could see a female having problems with tears in the linoleum kitchen floors. Also see a roach or two occasionally despite keeping a clean apartment. (This was much worse when I first moved in but has improved tremendously.) Overall, management has appeared to improve.

After reading several bad reviews I still gave The Mark a chance. WRONG CHOICE! Maintenance & community are AWFUL! They literally wont fix anything and take WEEKS to get around to one maintenance request. The office staff lies to you and tells you it will get fixed then give you the run around. My air hasnt been working properly for 3 months now causing my bill to be close to $200. Tried to swim & they said the pool is closed from September until April so its only open 4 months out the year when Im paying for a pool! Plus these walls are PAPER THIN. Im upstairs and can hear my neighbors down stairs breathe. There have been car break ins and the residents werent informed. I happened to see it on the news! Kids are running everywhere and it looks like they accept HUD housing. Loud music is played where Im located through the weekend & NOTHING has been done. I hate it here in this section 8 housing project and cant wait until my lease is up! WORST APARTMENTS OF MY LIFE!!! DO NOT MOVE HERE!

I am enjoying my new apartment, it is nice and very quiet.

These apartment sucks the manger has a rude attitude, poor maintenance, and nothing freaking works. I called for 5 days straight about my A/C and they still didnt get the job done when they first came. I mean they look great on the outside but the inside of them need a thing or two done to them i hate it here i cant wait until my lease is up.

On moving in day the carpets were wet due to just being cleaned although we couldve moved in a day sooner according to staff, the apartment was not ready for us to move in although staff said it was. Stains show back up after a week or so due to poor cleaning before moving in, the appliances are awful, maintenance man stated that he has to hand wash dishes and then load them in dishwasher himself (he lives on site). Everything stays feeling grungy no matter how much you clean, especially the floors. If your air conditioning goes out, expect it to be out for AT LEAST 3 weeks and being told repeatedly its fixed when its not. Property manager wont get back with you, webe been calling and leaving messages for her to call back since JULY (its now almost October) and still nothing. The water is turned off on a regular basis for repairs, sometimes without notice. Maintence leaves a mess after coming in your apartment, and most of the time you wont be notified theyre entering your apartment either. People double park and theres nothing they can do. I highly do NOT recommend even thinking about living here. Awful experience.

Do not move here!! The apartment is not worth the amount of money charged. They have roaches and walls are very very thin. You pay a deposit but when you move out, you do not get your full deposit amount in return....A complete total rip off! I was so glad when I moved from here....

Nice apartment but maintenance and management must be stalked to get anything completed. Unless of course its your rent, then they are johnny on the spot collecting that!

Office staff very very Un professional had to talk about my financial business with a house keeper sitting next to me in the office . decided not to rent at that point . checked out the reviews but thought I would give them the benefit of a doubt . should have stuck with my first thought
