Like the many other reviews on here my girlfriends car was towed yesterday with no warning and no signage posted anywhere on the street. When we went to pick it up, I was told I could not stand inside the building with her because I was not there to pick up my own car and the limited space inside was for customers only. Although there was only one other person in line, the lady at the front still demanded I wait outside. They said there was a picture taken near her car of a sign stating there was street cleaning and cars were not allowed to park there, yet they were unable to provide any proof of this picture. The business is a scam. Somehow they are allowed to just have random street cleaning and force people to pay money. Should be 0 stars!!

This place will get you for every penny. Youre told different things every time you call, all so they can get more of your money. DO NOT USE. Youd be better off leaving your car on the side of the road. Wish I could give zero stars.

After reading all the horrible reviews i was surprised when my car was towed by them and when I went to retrieve it they were very pleasant and helpful. The price i got on the phone was the price i payed and the whole transaction was very quick and smooth!

My car went missing last Tuesday, There was a sign for street cleaning that said Thursday, but I called anyway. They said they didn’t have my car. I filed a police report, and called again. Still didn’t have my car. Called for the next 3 days just to make sure. Still nothing so I show up just to REALLY make sure and still, they don’t have it. It’s reported stolen so I deal with it and all the stress that comes with it. 6 days later and guess who calls to let me know my car is in their lot. This terrible company. It’s been in there the entire time. So if your car goes missing, ask to check their lot yourself because chances are they have it.

This morning at 8:15 Sieberts tow truck driver in truck # 30 passed me on the right shoulder of Powhite parkway in very light traffic, going WAY over the speed limit and almost clipped the front of my truck. I would no one to ever use a company that hires drivers that probably cause as many accidents as they tow cars from.

Car was totalled after being hit on the street while parked overnight. 5 stars for Seiberts for being kind and easy to deal with when I needed to see my car and remove my belongings while it was at their impound.

Ihe customer service was good. Thats the only good i can say.

Stole an entire street of cars without warning, if you call to see if they stole your car they are rude immediately on the phone because they know they can do whatever they want because they have the police under their thumb

They towed my car two days in a row with no warning for street cleaning. Their “business” is the moral equivalent of the mafia. I can’t blame the workers there but the owners can rot.

Picked up stolen vehicle from this company and they left all the windows down in their lot during a storm. Absolutely awful service and fees charged considering we were victims of a crime. Embarrassing and shameful.

Hell is described as a raging inferno of flames and eternal damnation but I think anyone with that limited a view of Satan’s lair just hasn’t had their car towed by Seiberts … yet.

Kinda hard to say something positive about an establishment that charges you to do something you didnt ask them to do in the first place. However, if you take into account the employees are just doing their job and theyre actually quite considerate under the circumstances it just might change your view.

I do not know how this trash place is still open. Extremely unprofessional. They damage cars and act as if they are not to blame. Very shady business.

Theyre a scam. No signs for street cleaning and they illegally towed me and a lot of my neighbors vehicles. When I pointed it out to them, they said i have to take it up with the city.Also took hours counting my money.

There was no no parking sign but we were towed anyways. Ours plus 4 other vehicles were removed and caution tape put up. Sieberts is a Predatory towing service.

Experience wasnt good my husband was in an accident police had it towed to Seiberts and I get a paper saying I owe them and a lien being on my car that was totaled due to the fault of the other driver so NO Im not a tall Happy with this towing Co.

Its crazy how you can be charged for something you didnt ask them to do. Car was stolen from me and then towed for investigation then when it was released I owed a balance or 266 for something I didnt want them to do.

Like many others here, my car was illegally towed by Seiberts. They did not call me to inform they towed my car. I finally figured it out, and I called them. They did not tell me about the $45/day storage charge. They did not take a photo of the car before towing (i.e., no evidence that should have been towed).What a scam.

They damaged my car during the tow but they did fix the issue with no problem.

Customer service worked with me to resolve my concerns in a timely manner

They were saviors. Came out at about 4 am to pick my car up and get it to the shop. It was the third time this month, and helped me unlock it. As far as I know, they only charged me for a tow. Great guy and glad he was able to come out.

Write down whoever you talk to if you call there because they will give you one price on the phone and then get there and if they can put you different price

Got caught up in the street cleaning purge, but that’s on the city and their short notices.No damage to the vehicle, quick service, good security, big time frame to pick up the whip.

I would highly advise for everyone to stay away from working with this towing company. I own an apartment complex and we allowed them to tow anyone unlawfully parking in our lot, which they did. However, they damaged the cars in the process. After finding this out, we legally cancelled our contract. Stay away from working with this terrible business.

This place is horrible!! The customer service is terrible! The people at the desk are rude and discourteous. My car was towed here and they make it as hard as possible for you to get your vehicle in a reasonable time just to extort for more storage fees. Crystal was the worst!!! Plain rude and disrespectful!

So.... We are in the middle of a pandemic. Many people are working from home and arent driving often. You mean to tell me yall can schedule a random street cleaning, not tell anyone about it, and tow peoples vehicles from their apartment complexes? What a FINESS!! unreal.

I’ve had to pick my car up here a couple times. Very nice service, quick, professional. Not a scratch on the vehicles. Sad I get my vehicles towed but it’s not Seiberts fault, just their job.

I know that naturally, towing companies dont get the change to be well-liked; the situations that require a towing company are always high-stress. That being said, they could at least be kind - if not just simply professional. Our car was towed this morning related to street cleaning. In trying to get more information, I was placed on hold multiple times by someone who would only huff and puff at me. By the time I got to their lot to settle the matter in person, I had been on hold for an hour and a half! Upon presenting this information to them, they shared that they didnt know how that was possible because usually their machine just hangs up. What? So their business practice is to place people on hold and have the machine hang-up on them? There was no apology, sympathy, or even simple kindness. The young-rude-woman at the front desk wouldnt let me speak to a manager or share her name. If you have the option, Ive had MUCH better experience with other towing companies in the area who actually treat people like people.

The customer service representative was disgustingly rude and dismissive when asked about whether or not I could come retrieve my property from their impound lot. Awful experience. Also works with RPD pigs.

Staff was nice, about only good thing I can say. Are well known in Richmond for towing for street cleaning on the wrong day or towing when no signs have been posted. $105 for towing it 4 miles and having it sit in the lot for 3 hours. If Trump had been smart he woulda had tow companies to scam people instead of a college. OH yea they also never reported towing it to the police so they thought it was stolen.

Called them twice in one week and they showed up just as fast as I called..no scratches or marks left on my car and excellent customer service. Will be using them from now on no question

I was told over the phone 1 price then I drove 7 hours to pick up my vehicle and the charged me way more then what they told me over the phone and the lady even checked with the manager for the price that was given over the phone which she approved... If I could give 0 stars I would have.

I guarantee they towed just for fun of it- I never park my car within the street cleaning signs area. This place is absolutely criminal. I always park my car on the same small street, one of the very few spots to park near place in downtown Richmond. 200 dollars that I can barely afford- absolutely criminal.

Love the place. Who else would give you the pleasure of thinking that your car was stolen..... OH WAIT!!! It was!!! No signs were posted on the street for cleaning (took pics to prove it). Had to drive and pick up my wife who works downtown (from Glen Allen) to Southside just to pay $105 to get our car back. We took it to court and won. Got our money back. Be prepared take lots of pics. of signs of when towing is enforced ( if there is any) and bring everything you got receipts, citation....everything.

I truly believe they have family members writing excellent reviews for them. My son was in car accident. They towed the vehicle because the city of Richmond will not allow you to use your own tow service. Which proves to me kick backs but I digress. If they tow your vehicle let them have it. Most time their fees are more then the vehicle is worth. I get people have to make a living but you dont have to steal from folk and have bad business practices to do so. Best way to avoid this place is to pray you dont get towed or just dont park in the city. This is a cash cow for this place to steal from hard working people.

Very short, non informative about why my car was towed, and hung up on me! Knowing people are unexpectedly paying hundreds of dollars to get their vehicle back, you would think that they would be a little more understanding.

UPDATE: 12/19/19I called Seiberts to ask them about a refund, I explained my situation. The woman on the phone told me that I would need to make a claim in smalls claims court. I said OK, but... in response and the woman said Dont interrupt me and continue to explain that it was a court issue.I thought it was very rude the way she spoke to me. She continued to speak to me in such a mean way. Rude is not the correct word, she was simply very angry on the phone.I explained to her that I have a few questions since I have never been towed and I wanted to have everything clear before court (i.e. does the government or the towing company take pictures of the parked car before towing.) She barked back at me I already explained that to you. and continued to interrupt me, I couldnt get a work in edge wise or finish a complete thought with her.Finally I said I am not trying to ruin your day, I just want to ask a few questions so I have everything straight for court. Because she sounded so incredibly defensive, I wanted it to be clear I was just looking for clarification, and how I can move forward (I had already given up on a refund). She continued to belittle me, speak over me, and she said I already told you this. Im putting you on hold with no explanation. I went to finish a chore and she still was not back, I had already expected that she had no intention of coming back to my call, but I gave her the benefit of the doubt and thought maybe she went to go get someone else I could speak to. No such luck. I called back and was immediately put back on the line with the same woman who gave no explanation as to why I was put on hold so abruptly. The 2nd conversation went as terribly as the first. I have never in my life had anyone speak to me the way she did. She was even worse the 2nd time and spoke so loudly and quickly that I could not say a single word. I told her I had a question and she said (yet again) I already answered your questions! I said I have a different question I have been trying to ask, but you keep talking over me. She told me to go to city hall. I said I wish you were not being so rude to me. she said Thank you. and we ended the conversation.12/18/19My car was towed for street cleaning- that is what they told me. However, there was NO sign posted about a tow warning or the street cleaning. I had to pay for an uber to pay for my car back. While I was waiting in line, I spoke with 2 other women who were there to get their car back. They said there was no sign where they parked either, and that they were in the same area I where our cars were towed. Seiberts towed my car, which was legally parked, and made me pay to get it back. I cant take the day off work to dispute in court, which would end up losing me money for missing work.

Could not give a lower review. Absolute scum. They post street cleaning signs way too late and are no help when you are trying to track down your vehicle. They frequently just hang up on you. It’s a nerve racking situation to walk to where you parked your car and have it not be there. I called seiberts, gave my license plate, she said My car wasn’t there and to call back later, I ask if she could check my plate again and spelled it out, she said she already checked and HUNG UP. I decided to take an Uber there anyway, I talked to the lady at the front desk and my car was actually there TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE.

My vehicle had a broken wheel bearing. They actually dragged my vehicle to their yard. Mind you I had already called Roadside assistance and they were in route. They bragged to my roadside assistance tow driver how they dragged it to their lot at Seiberts. They damaged the front bumper completely. When I finally found where my vehicle was. I went to Seiberts and they DENIED having my truck. When I could CLEARLY see it on the back lot. Then they handed me a bill of $130.

This not a towing company. They are pirates and thieves. The employees are sub par failures of human beings. I would never work for a company that legally steals from others, and refuses to return the property they stole. The employees are also rude, unhelpful, and the tow drivers are too busy stealing more vehicles to be available to allow cars they illegally stole out of a locked lot. Please be like me. Please sue them. I will also be contacting all available authorities, including the Attorney General, chief of police, city manager about their predatory practices, and their apparent priorities of stealing over customer service. Once they have your car, they want to keep it, so they can sell it at auction. This company should be shut down. Shame on you Richmond, for conspiring against your citizens in this manner. Told me I had been towed for a parking violation, couldnt (or wouldnt) tell me what the violation was. Had no problem telling me how much it would cost to get my car out, however. This is just legalized thievery.

Have you unpleasant experience of having to retrieve my car which was towed from the front of my house due to street cleaning. If if only they could have knocked on the door I would have saved105.00. I retrieved it in less than 15 minutes. Just wished they could have been a little more understanding and at least reduce the fee since they only had the car for total 20 minutes.

My rental car was illegally towed in front of my home. I had it less than 10 hours. When I show up to pick up the car the bumper is ripped off (obviously tow damage) They give me a papers to fill out and show the damage. I return back to office and they inform me that this damage has been documented and it was present prior to towing. (They don’t offer me a copy of the report I just filled out.)The manager Dawn was insistent that the “officer on duty noted the damage and there is no possibility of them damaging the vehicle. After being persistent she admitted that the “officer” was a meter maid.This company is the city’s main tow and corruption afillitate. False signage or no signage for leaf collection means confusion and more tows.The tow driver loads as many vehicles as they can with both flatbed and dolly behind. The driver needs a sign off so the maids frantically run around and confirm the vehicle status after loading.Ive witnessed this last over the past decade, but now understand it now that it has happened to me.Never come across a manager with such a blatant attitude of deception. It’s time to get the local media outlets involved.This relationship with Seiberts and the city is disgusting and some straight up country cousin theft.

Twice now, this company has towed my car for supposed Street cleaning despite being parked no where near any signage. So annoying

I parked on street during morning of leaf collection. The lady at the front desk is trained in conflict resolution. She reduced my fine from 7 days of overnight fees to 6, so 270 instead of 310. They drive you to your car to collect what you need. After paying, the lady, regina said, if you show up to a court hearing 99.9% of people say they get their money back.

My car was towed in an area for street cleaning where no signs were posted. Went to court and won. However, when I called and emailed them scanned documents of the court order and the receipt, they refused to refund me and said I need to come into their location to get a refund. I live 90 minutes away, and not going to take 3 hours out of my day to drive there. Its unnecessary, and the only reason they do it is to prevent people from getting their refunds. As a result, ill be suing them instead. The city should be contracting with a different towing company, not these crooks. I hope the people who read these reviews lobby city council and others in the city government. This company is not serving the people and the city in good faith. Their contract should be stripped.

This place is such a money grabbing scam. They are in business with the city of Richmond to tow vehicles that are in spots that aren’t aware they will be towed. THEY KNOW THEY ARE AT FAULT BUT THEY DO IT ANYWAY. They claim that the city of Richmond has police officers call them at every towing spot and have them come get a vehicle that needs to be towed. If it is street cleaning day, there will be no signs posted UNTIL THEY COME TO CLEAN. They then tow you, clean the street, and then take down the no parking signs.Real fair guys. Get a real profession you bunch of snakes.

This company towed my truck 24 hours before the street cleaning sign required my vehicle to be off of the road. The receptionist at this place was very polite and professional though.

Seiberts was in possession of a car that I had stolen from me, and recovered by the police. They were absolutely no help in recovering it, due to the fact that a clerical error resulted in a police report not being taken on my account. They refused to help or even give suggestions, and when asking the receptionist over the phone what I could potentially do in my situation, she instead reiterated the five word sentence shed been repeating since picking up the phone, and it inevitably took a trip to police headquarters to get everything sorted out. This place, and the majority of its staff, are awful.

Illegally towed my car. Wrote on my car window with a paint that wont come off even after car wash. When I called they were extremely rude and would not take my call or answer my call. They told me to use a razor blade to remove the paint. Richmond needs to find a better company to complete their towing surfaces. Scumbags. And would give 0 stars ig possible.

Can you please stop hoarding all the Bird Scooters? Better yet, how about you stop knocking on my door all hours of the day/night and asking my neighbors about the scooters I charge inside.You crossed all sorts of boundaries and the police have been made well aware. Its funny... I actually read positive comments in this company? My brother is homeless in Richmond. They towed his car 30 days ago (I just found out) and the bill is over $1500. The car is only worth maybe $300. They said for $200 he could sign the title over to them and they would sell it at auction. Sooo.. he has to pay them to give them the title and they keep the money from the auction... AND... he is still liable for the towing fees?What a company

They steal your vehicle from the side of the road and charge you to get it back. Its legal extortion. It doesnt matter if there are no signs saying not to park somewhere, theyll rob you anyway and damage your car. Be careful parking anywhere in Richmond.

Apparently this is the company Richmond hires to tow cars that are in the way of street cleaning. The sign was put up 24hours ago and since I dont drive to work and my car had been parked there for 4 days, it got towed. I was parked 10 feet from my own apartment.

On top of being a tow lot (bad, criminal), this is just an unpleasant place to be. The employees are prone to ignoring you until they feel like helping you spend $100 on your own car, and half the time I was directed to the wrong lot. When youre the official towing company of the police, you can do what you want I guess.

The staff was not helpful. If you have a car towed here and it’s in your parents name and not yours, good luck getting the car back. It took an hour and a half to prove the car was mine. Then we walk out to the parking lot, and I find out I paid 205 dollars for them to pop my front tire. Now waiting on AAA to come fix my tire. Thank god for AAA

Stop picking up the Bird scooters. This is the scummiest towing company in all of Richmond. I recently had my car towed for the insane cost of $340. When inquiring about why I received an administration fee for over $50, the lady at the front desk literally walked away from me. Ive been impounded by this aggressive company that is in bed with Richmond government. So recently, an electric scooter company called Bird was dropping their scooters all over the city for people to ride, and people were loving it, and were getting cheap transportation all over town. Within a day Seiberts starts using the locator app you would use for riding the electric scooters, to impound them ALL. Now there are no scooters anywhere in the city; while other cities are bustling with the cheap, fun alternative transportation method. Thanks Richmond, thanks Seibert, you really are heartless.

I called to ask a question and the ladies at there was super rude to me first I spoke to savannah and she was helping me but then I had to call back to ask another question but the lady kasha answer and told me she wasnt dealing with this today and got smart with me so mind you I was just calling because I needed savannah name cause I forgot to get it the first time and then when savannah got back on the phone she was being rude to me just horrible customer service and the thing is ... I was just calling for my job -_-... NEED NEW EMPLOYEES

Seiberts Towing company is a dishonest and sloppy operation which does not deserve to be in business. If it werent for the mutually beneficial parasitic relationship with local law, I imagine these guys would have to close their doors. My 19 yr old was towed without cause, not a single supportive sign in the area; we went to court over it a month later. This company damaged the undercarriage of my daughters car, by pulling off the underpan away. Instead of properly fixing the damage, the nasty woman running the downstairs office attempted to blame this condition on my daughter for driving the car off that way. My daughter did not fully realize she had a problem until she was further down the road, and noticed a loud dragging sound. She called her Dad, a man with Parkinsons for 11 years, who drove all the way from Charlottesville to Richmond. He had to crawl under the car on the ground, to fix it; not an easy task for him. If Seiberts was a decent company, they would have fully fixed the damage they caused before releasing it back to my teenage daughter. When I told Seiberts I wanted to file a damage complaint, they told me it was past a month, so I no longer could file a complaint. Not only that, but the whole process of getting our money back took at leasst 45 minutes, beginning with a gal who said shed be right with us, but chose to chat with her co-worker instead, and rummaged through her personal coupons folder, admiring it and still ignoring us. This lack of work ethic disgusts me. No less, these people put us through tremendous inconvenience,costing us hours of our time and $$$, and yet show not a single ounce of courtesty nor remorse. In fact, a man who worked in this office walked by and laughed at me. I addressed him directly, telling him I am a business owner, and this kind of treatment is no laughing matter. I hope someone closes this company down soon; they do not deserve to be in business. SHAME ON SEIBERTS TOWING!!

I wish I could give negative star. They towed my boyfriend Mother’s car, the car was not on his name he called the insurance company, gave them his mother social number, the address on the car insurance matches the one on his license and they still didn’t give him the car. I was telling my boyfriend how ridiculous the whole thing was, one lady was leaving she told her coworker: “ girl call me if I need come back to help you beat some ass”. The place is a fraud organization period.

Horrible experience this morning. i jus called after recieving a letter stating they had my scooter. They waited 3 weeks to inform me and want to charge me $600 plus for a scooter on their lot. Their customer service person informed me she does not care about this. Truly a predatory company.

Best tow company in Richmond - Except for Wrecker Boy Towing

This company does not even try to act like it cares. I arrived to the towing lot at 4:30 (30 minutes before they closed), and they took 40 minutes trying to retrieve my registration out of my car. Then when they got back, it was closing time, and they would not let me access my car to retrieve my belongings. Worst customer service Ive ever dealt with.

Got my vehicle back quick and clean after parking illegally during street cleaning. Theyre just people doing their job.
