I went through them for a pod, they gave me their subsidiary zippy. Notification of keeping my pod here was done but they still shipped elsewhere, a month in advance with no destination address. I have called both companies after being charged $3000 for moving, storage and protection. My belongings are in a state I dont live in and not moving too. DONT USE ZIPPY OR PACKRAT.
Used to work here three months ago. Very friendly staff. The camaraderie was the best I’ve ever experienced in a professional work environment.
Worst experience. It takes at least 20-30 minutes to get any sort of customer service rep on the phone and they’re literally the most useless people on earth. I’m not sure exactly what they’re there for. My stuff is already two days late and I don’t have the capacity and time to unload my container over the next couple of weeks! This is extremely unacceptable and I’m going to dispute every credit card charge on my bill from this company. And they’re using an old employee to drive up the rating. How pathetic.
I moved from 1 state to another. I am a planner and wanted to make sure I book everything in advance so that everything goes smooth during our move. I even followed up a week before and literally a day before my container gets delivered and customer service said everything is as scheduled. Come delivery day, on my new apartment, no one showed up. I called 3 times that morning and no one got back to me that day. This was a Friday and they dont work on weekends so I was screwed. Forgot to mentioned I got 2 toddlers with me so we had to scramble and buy things just for us to get through for a few days. I followed up again that following Monday and they said my container was still on the originating state and that their carrier backed out last minute so they had to find another one. My container was delivered a week after the original scheduled date. They refunded me $500 and that is why I am giving a 2 star instead of 1 star review. Either way the damage was done, the stress was there and experiencing the inconvenience I wanted to avoid in the first place. Hopefully I was an isolated case but I would consider other moving companies and pay that few hundred dollars more for the convenience and assurance.
Absolutely poor place to deliver to, I arrived early to find that normal hours were 8 oclock, ok no problem. Then at 8: I find out the manager probably not be in till closer to 9: . This was told to me by an employee saying sorry Ive got to go do a delivery.Had a second stop to do 7 hours away, I wasnt able to deliver till next dayThank you for your professionalismCorrection doesnt arrive till 9:30
I asked for a quote, received one and booked, with understanding I could cancel with no penalty. The next day I cancelled by speaking with a person who assured me I would not be charged. A few weeks later, a container arrived, without prior notification, and I told the driver I had cancelled. He said that they thought I had, but sent a container in case. The next day, my credit card was charged $500. I have spent over five hours, in one day, trying to resolve situation. I have been on hold, had my call dropped, spoken with people who transferred to others who never appeared. I have left voice mails and sent emails and have had zero responses. I would not recommend this company and strongly urge people to avoid them as much as you would avoid COVID-19.
Superb customer service!
Delivers on time every time.
Worst experience EVER!!! We are MOVING and they were to be here at 2pm TODAY. We called they LAUGHED at us!!! It is now almost 8 pm movers here WAITING to load this pack rat unit. Worst Experience EVER. Do not ever use this service. You are forewarned.
Busy place.
We had moved out of town and decided to have Pack Rat store the pod for us at their Richmond facility. I was quoted $1300 to have the pod moved 102 miles. So we decided to rent a moving truck for $300 one weekend and empty the pod ourselves. Upon arrival we discovered the facility was closed on the weekends. We pleaded with the customer service people to find someone who could pull the pod to no avail. So we ended up finding a moving company who emptied and delivered the contents for $550.All in all it was a rough experience and customer service was less than sympathetic. I would recommend just having a mover take care of it.
Sold off property on accident and did nothing to make it right.
