Just recently underwent a small surgery to remove a cyst on my head with Dr. King- not only was she professional and quick as always, but she has incredible nurses working with her too. I would like to give a special shout out and giant thank you to Destiny, who sat with me and helped me out when I had a bit of a fainting spell afterwards.. Obviously a successful procedure is always what we hope for, but we forget to think about the nurses who make it an overall comfortable experience for us. Thank you SO much Destiny!!

I moved to Richmond last year and started seeing Dr. Gross. I had my second appointment with her today, third at the practice and will not be going back for a few reasons:1) Appointment was at 10:40 and wasnt seen until 11:10, so over a 30 minute wait to be seen (and I arrived at 10:25). No apology or recognition from the doctor or staff that they were behind schedule.2) The appointment itself lasted all of 6 minutes with the doctor and felt incredibly rushed. There was no time for me to ask questions - like when would I expect to hear biopsy results, etc. Things we had discussed in a previous visit were not remembered, it felt like they were trying to push prescriptions as solutions, and that they didnt care about anything other then finishing the appointment quickly. I felt invisible to them and that I was solely another patient for them to get through and bill.In summary, I would rather drive the ~2 hours to Arlington to be seen by my former dermatologist then go back.

The administrative side is really starting to grate on my nerves. They frequently change appointment times last minute, and they once even cancelled my appointment without any notification. You’d think a simple email or even a call would’ve sufficed. Thankfully, that was a virtual appointment, so it wasn’t a big time loss for me. Then, after rescheduling due to their fault for not giving me a heads up after cancelling, they even got the new appointment time wrong somehow. Unbelievable.

Customer service is a joke. Called every day for 6 weeks and was on hold for a minimum of one hour each time. I selected the prompt to be called back each time and no one has ever called back. Just trying to pay a bill. Would gladly pay online but there isnt a website on the bill. Its 2021.... give me an online payment option.

Dr. King and her nurse were extremely patient and kind during my visit. I was very nervous, but they were both so gentle and understanding with me. They made something that could have been much more scary, so simple and pain free for me. I appreciate them treating me with so much care. Would highly recommend them!

I have seen Dr. King three times — to diagnose a benign tumor and remove such, and then to remove a very large skin tag in a not-so-great place on my body, all the while being accurate in her determination, so very professional and kind and quick. She’s a beautiful (on the inside and out) woman who knows her stuff. I’m honored to have the opportunity to type a review for Dr. King and the fellow employees who work at this establishment. They’re top-notch all the way. :)

I have been seeing Dr. Gross for several years and I am always greeted with a warm smile. She is quick and efficient. She listens to anything that I may wish to discuss and I always receive a satisfactory answer. I have never had to wait more than 15 minutes to see her.

Dr Melissa King is thorough, compassionate and proactive with your skin concerns. I am thankful for her professional guidance and insight! Her staff is very knowledgeable, as well, and always happy to see you. Great team!

The BIGGEST ripoff! Before you go, be ready to dip into your savings account because they will prescribe you medication that will cost over $700 and wont even have a discussion beforehand to see if thats in your best interest. It was a waste of time and a copay. Even the pharmacist was confused as to why they wouldnt prepare me for the amount of money it was gonna cost! If youre coming for an acne prescription, I would suggest trying other avenues. Wish I could have known this before, so sharing it with you all so you can be prepare to be robbed blind!

I cannot say enough good things about this place. I’ve been struggling with acne my whole life and all it took was one visit with Dr. Peck to transform my skin. She was attentive, empathetic (as I mentioned to her that my skin was affecting my self-esteem), and quick to offer a solution that was perfect for what my skin needed. Thanks to Dr. Peck, I feel the most confident I’ve ever felt in my bare skin! My only regret is not doing my research earlier to find Richmond Dermatology! I will be a forever patient - thank you!

Everyone was very efficient and prompt. They were quite busy with patients, but everyone was called in order and no one was left waiting. Dr King was great as usual, and answered all my questions. The nurse was equally professional. All COVID protocols were strictly followed, too.

I love Dr. Peck and Richmond Dermatology & Laser. They’re quick, the office is always clean also. Everyone is friendly and respectful. Dr. Peck is one of the best doctors I’ve ever had. When no one knew what type of psoriasis I had, Dr. Peck knew within seconds of my first visit!

I wouldn’t recommend any other place to anyone. Richmond Dermatology’s high reviews are well deserved. The staff is pleasant and welcoming and the facility is beautiful. Even if your appt is far out, it’s well worth the wait. I usually like to stick to one physician when I go to doctor appts but here, I would feel comfortable seeing any of the Doctors, especially Dr. Gross and Dr. King. The aesthetics side is just as wonderful. Maggie is a skin care goddess and Sara is a magician with injectables. I wouldn’t go anywhere else!

I was late however Dr was able to see me. The check-in process was easy & organized. My wait time was minimal & I thought Dr Kitces was very thorough during his examination.

Nice practice. Dr. G answered all questions. Two suggestions though: It would have been nice to fill out forms online at home. Nobody suggested it when the appointment was made. I was feeling exposed because it was a mole check visit and someone came in during the exam without a knock, or introduction. It would have been better had Dr. G told me that someone would be joining us. Thank you.

Dr. Gross is a very thorough and competent doctor. She explains what she is doing and I never feel like she is rushing to the next patient. My entire family sees her now.

Terrible experience here. There was some confusion about my bill as I was leaving. The girl at the checkout desk got her supervisor, who told me due to the confusion, they offered to bill me at the 20% self pay discount which is usually only applied when you pay immediately after your appointment. But due to the mix up they would send me a bill with the discount. I then get the bill a week later in the full amount (no discount). I call and was able to speak to the same woman. She said her supervisor denied the discount, even after she told me she offered it to me. This place might have good doctors but Ill never find out because there is no way I will ever patronize a place that conducts business this way.

Dr. Terhune is incredibly kind, efficient, and listens to hear what your real concerns are, all while assessing any problems and figuring out the best solution. She explains her thoughts to you and listens to your ideas and concerns without judgment. I’ve never had to wait more than 15 minutes for my appointment. She works quickly and efficiently but thoroughly. Her nurses are also kind and helpful whenever I have questions.

This practice is well run and very organized to minimize patients’ waiting time. Nurses make you comfortable and Dr. Gross is a wonderful and caring doctor. I never felt rushed during my examination.

This place has forever changed my life! I suffered from severe cystic acne for a couple of years and nothing I bought at the stores helped. I wasted so much money on products that only made my skin worse! I never wanted to see a dermatologist because I thought it would be too expensive, but I am pretty sure I spent more money at Sephora and amazon trying to find a product that worked than my prescription topicals that was prescribed. I am so glad that I finally decided to seek professional help. I see Dr. Gross at Richmond Dermatology, she is the most sweetest and knowledgeable doctor I have ever seen. I have also seen Christina OBrien, NP at this office and she is also great! Between my treatment plan and a series of aesthetic treatments done by Maggie and Devan, my skin has improved so much and I couldnt be happier with the results! Thanks to Dr. Gross, Christina, Devan & Maggie, My self confidence has boosted up drastically and I can now leave my house without pounds of make up on! I was impressed. I didn’t wait for a long time to be called. The doctor and staff were professional and friendly. They took time to address my problem, and to provide me with the right solution.

Dr. Gross has always been thorough but difficult to get an appointment. I understand that being good means that a physicians availability can be limited but she should have concern about ensuring that her patients are ok after doing a procedure. She removed a mole that had abnormal cells from my back. 8 days later, it was red and oozing. I spoke with her Medical Assistant who suspected it might be infected. I offered to send a photo to confirm so that in this COVID world I would not need to come into the office. She said they didnt accept photos but could set up a telehealth call with me. That was good news! When the scheduler called, they informed me that the first telehealth call available would be 3 weeks later. When I told her I had an infection, she said Im sorry but there is nothing else available. Really? In a COVID world, everybody is doing telehealth and it is more efficient, allowing physicians, PAs, NPs to see more patients - especially when there is a complication with the procedure. I will fiind another dermatology group that cares about their patients after they perform procedures and is focused on reinventing their care to meet the needs of their patients.

Dr. Peck is wonderful! So professional, thorough, and attentive while still being so warm, kind, and efficient. She has a great team and took care of all of my needs on the first visit! I’m so happy to have established care here.

I saw Dr. Cresce for my first dermatology appointment today and she was really kind, thorough and knowledgeable. She gave me insight into treatment options and I felt heard and satisfied with my experience when I left.

There is usually a wait for Dr Eileen Kitces however she is more than worth the wait! I have been seeing her for over 30 years her care and knowledge of my rare autoimmune skin disease changed my life!

Dr. Cresce was so so great. I had been looking for a dermatologist for a while and the office was able to get me in for an appointment so quickly. When I arrived for my appointment, the staff was friendly and efficient. Dr. Cresce showed true professionalism and was very easy to talk with and answered all of my questions. Definitely would go back and recommend her to anyone!

This place is a waste of time. I came last year and had Margaret Terhune because of a rash. She was rude and did not seem to care about taking care of the problem. Prescribed a cream and was gone. Decided to try Richmond Dermatology one more time and saw Melissa King last week. She was even worse. I was telling her about the problem and a he looked at it. She said I could get it removed and live with a scar for the rest of my life or just learn to live with the problem. I was asking her about a couple other spots and she was walking out the door while talking to me. That was unreal! I could not even get 5 minutes to talk to the doctor and the only advice I got was to live with it. She told some other lady to prescribe a cream that I didn’t even need! I asked her why she did it and got no response.This place is a joke. The doctors are rude and don’t give you the time of day. Avoid them and find other doctors.

Have skin cancer. Quick turnaround on biopsy and diagnosis. Quick action on procedures.Courteous staff. Pretty close on making appointment time.Very comfortable with Dr. Melissa King and staff.

Today I saw Christina O’Brien, the NP at Richmond Dermatology. I cannot overstate how compassionate and kind she was when dealing with my pretty severe poison ivy. I’ve been seeing Dr. Gross for cosmetic and medical procedures at Richmond Derm for years, and I can say with confidence that compassionate care is a priority at this practice. I always feel heard, and respected at a patient; all my questions are answered and my anxiety vanished. LOVE LOVE LOVE Richmond Dermatology!!!

Great experience. They took me in on time and were all very nice and helpful. Dr. Peck was on time, did a thorough diagnosis, treated my issue quickly, and I was out of there faster than expected.

Just had a fraxel laser 😬. Scary right?!? Not so fast. Maggie explained the entire procedure, gave me breaks as I needed, and answered my litany of questions. Let’s see how it ends up. I have been going to Maggie and Sarah for years. Covid impeded visits a bit, but I am entering back into their care as of today. Highly recommend

Dr. Eileen Kitces of Richmond Dermatology is absolutely wonderful!! I had previously seen several doctors regarding a brown spot on my face who suggested and performed multiple treatments using lasers and chemical peels over the course of about 3 years. As the spot kept coming back, I finally decided to drive an hour away to Richmond, VA to see Dr. Kitces who I used to see as a kid/teen. As soon as she looked at the spot, she was suspicious that it could be “something”. After getting a biopsy of a very small sample of the spot, the results came back as inconclusive. She refused to adopt the “let’s wait and see” attitude I’d received from my previous doctors. She had me come back immediately, took a larger sample and sent it to a different lab. Pathology results - Melanoma!! She personally called me to break the news. What was so reassuring and calming was the fact that prior to giving me the results, she had already consulted with surgeons and had a plan in place for my surgery to remove the cancer as well as the subsequent plastic surgery for the repair/reconstruction of my face. I will be forever grateful to Dr. Kitces for recognizing and confirming a wretched cancer that was missed by 2 other physicians. She and her staff took so much of my stress and anxiety away during a scary time. She has continued to be wonderful during all of my follow ups required since the surgeries. Her staff and facilities are also extremely professional while also being very personable. I’m happy to report I’m cancer-free and would recommend Dr. Kitces anyone for anything related to skin issues. If you have any questionable spots, get it checked out!!! I have referred many members of my family and friends to Richmond Dermatology and I’ll never go anywhere else!! Thank you Dr. Kitces, you are the best!!! Highly Recommend! A+++

Cars going through a car wash got more attention than I did. My appointment was with Dr. Peck and lasted less than 10 minutes- I was very put off by being rushed. I give this facility two stars because at least the reception was courteous enough.

I went in for what I thought was a general check up appointment along with a concern about a mole. King said my appointment was made only for the mole and refused to look over me. I explained that that I am high risk (re covid) because I have lived with diabetes my entire life and cannot be visiting doctors’ offices any more than absolutely necessary. In fact, I have an appointment later today with my endocrinologist and it is telemedicine. Covid is killing people with diabetes.I’ve had a general look-over from a dermatologist and know it only takes about 2 minutes. She did not care that I am at high risk for covid and insisted that I make another appointment and come back at a later date. This shows me that a patient’s health and concerns are low priority. I can only suppose the higher priority is to book more appoints for more profit.

I have been a patient at Richmond Dermatology for over twenty years. The organization of checking in and checking out of the office is impressive. The staff is wonderful and I adore Dr Terhune! Keep up the good work!!

I appreciate Dr Kitces for his knowledge and follow through. He was highly recommended by my GP many years ago. No regrets what so ever.I love his nurse. She is very efficient, friendly and has a great sense of humor.You can’t go wrong with this group of doctors.

I have heard great things from friends about this practice because of Dr Gross, but I would stay away from Dr King and Emily Hogan. Both may as well have a conveyer belt to put their patients on so they can stick a generic diagnosis sticker on you as you roll by. I have never been treated so poorly in all of my doctors visits. I received three biopsies with both of them and neither of them even put the bandaid on correctly. Once I got home I had to re-clean the wound because they had stuck the adhesive right on the biopsy site. Also double charged me for both visits as a self pay patient. Money mongers who don’t care about people. Wish I would’ve waited to see Dr Gross instead, there’s a reason she’s booked out and others are not.

The precautions against Covid19 were extensive but not intrusive. All personnel were knowledgeable and courteous.Dr. King is caring and professional. She really takes an interest in her patients. I wouldnt go to anyone else.
