Horrible service! Took days of calling to get any update, a huge headache. Do not recommend!!!
Ruined one of my rugs, discoloration likely from dirty chemicals. and they’ve made no attempt to make it right.
DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE! I was quoted a price and then made to pay a different higher amount when my rugs were done. Also they asked if I had other rugs if I did they were running a 30% off holiday special that would be applied. When they got my rugs they said that didn’t apply to my service and they tried to sell all these other services and down played the service that they originally said would cover everything. They are just salesman that will say anything to get your rugs in there trucks and then screw you over and charge you more.
They have had my rug for 3 months and counting. Still waiting for a response form the Manager. Poor customer service.
Run away from this company. They have claimed my rug was “lost” more times than I can count to avoid having to compensate or fix damage they caused. They will not compensate me for the ”missing” rug and Joe Hadeed told me to claim it through my insurance, though UPS tracking confirms that he has the rug. He accused me of being rude and calling him a liar (I didn’t, but if the shoe fits, Joe) but he is the one doing all the yelling. There are ethical rug cleaners around. Hadeed is not. After over a year, I do not have my rug back.
Run Forest Run! Can’t deliver on most basic services because so worried about upselling you to other services. Never deliver on time—have used them twice and both times, major screw up. Had rugs repaired and edges ripped within a month. Will honor repair if you pay—again. Was privy to an exchange between Joe Hadeed and another customer. Shocked they are still in business. Rudeness and tone was so bad I had to leave the room. Like I said run away, far away!
We had a light colored oriental rug in the dining room, between the spills and the cats it was a wreck. Hadeed fixed it up, got it cleaned, fixed the edges...looks great again. We have it in the master bedroom now. They are coming for the front hall and living room rugs next week. Im sure they will look just wonderful when they bring those back.
Posting a review after my second experience with Hadeed-Mercer after reading many negative reviews. Back in 2013 I had a wood/silk rug cleaned with them. In this case the gentlemen picked up and dropped off the rug, very polite and professional. The turnaround on the rug was reasonable and estimated up front so no surprise there (~10 days), additionally price was reasonable and as estimated. I just had another rug cleaned with them which I dropped off with them 1/3/16 and it was returned today, again very polite and professional delivery team (which they sent a picture of the main delivery guy via email so I knew who was coming to my door). Quality of the cleaning in both cases was great and I have been very pleased with their service, prices, and prompt turnaround times.
I hope your rug cleaning is as wonderful has Emily Morgans personality.Theres very few customer service experiences that make me smile from the time it begins until it ends.I hope you appreciate her attitude and personality.Bill Sweeney
Paid 700 dollars for cleaning two carpets of which they still have a strong odor. This was also during their “clean 2, get the 3rd cleaned for free”. The guys at the warehouse were friendly at least but said I could bring the 3rd carpet in later. NOPE. Gave me the “can you give me the name of the guy who said this nonsense”. I strongly do not recommend their services.
I used this company 3 years ago and they did a nice job. However, this last time I feel like I was taken advantage of. They quoted me on the job for three rugs (it was 3 for the cost of 2) and then the cost was about $100 more at the end. And, I dont think they actually cleaned one of the rugs. The stains were still there and it didnt look any different from when they took it. We will not be using Hadeed anymore for our rug cleaning needs. I am not sure if they have changed ownership, but we would not recommend them to any of our friends.
2 weeks and $250 later my 8x10 rug looks no different than when they picked it up... the customer service solution was that they’ll pick it up and clean it again for only another $105+! On top of that, it took multiple phone calls to them to get delivery scheduled and I was concerned I wouldn’t have it back in time for Thanksgiving! Would not recommend this service AT ALL!
Worst company I ever Experienced the owner name joe talks like a female he does crack I know this ....his eyes are always red they are ripping off guys by telling them buy all this extra stuff and it doesn’t get done I went by the other day dropped off.a rug that’s was 8*10 I spent $700 on just for.a regular cleaning i have a relative that works there he says the manager Constantly lies LORA Was her name she looks out for certain employees on hours and etc .Also you all the people that are coming in you all the customers house have multiple felonies watch them!! And not one bit of background check they have employees that try to sell customers items on the side for money because they barely make payroll They have unresponsible people with power. Joe Hadeed (Owner) I called about my rug being worst and he started cussing,Yelling,Screaming at me unprofessional and said we can go to court and he runs the business I recommend this business be looked at or SHUT DOWN !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
In February of 2017 we had a valuable Mashad carpet cleaned by Hadeed - Mercer. There was a hole in one corner that needed repair and the fringe on one end needed reinforcing. We called one day and the carpet was picked up two days later. It was returned within the week. The carpet looked, felt, and smelled very clean. We had to search to find the repair and even then, we had to look on the other side! An excellent repair!Three days later a large glass of red wine was spilled on our wool BEIGE (yikes!) dining room carpet! It happened on a Saturday night so we called early on Monday. We thought surely the lapse in time had made the stain worse. They picked it up the day we called and it was returned a week later. We were thrilled to find the stain gone! Who would have thought! We felt the cost of cleaning the entire run and removing the large stain very fairly priced. Less than 10% of replacing the carpet. The gentlemen who pick up and deliver are knowledgeable, prompt and extremely polite. All-in-all, we are delighted to recommend this company to anyone. Even your most valuable carpets are safe with them.
By phone I was quoted a reasonable price & a 7-10 day turn-around time. When the rug was picked up, I was surprised to be required to pay a $150 deposit. After two weeks I was called from another location (Fredericksburg?) where the cleaning had taken place and asked if I wanted to spend $2,000 on repairs to the binding and the fringe. When I refused that, I was told that I would be called when my rug was ready to be delivered. After at least another two weeks, I gave up waiting and called the Richmond office and was told it would be delivered to me by the end of the week. Two weeks later while I was out of town, I received a call saying it was ready for delivery. In all, it was TWO MONTHS after pick-up that my carpet was finally returned to me.My oriental carpet looks clean and the delivery people were very nice, but I dont recommend this company to anyone who dislikes inadequate and misleading information, or anyone who would miss having their rug.
Classic bait and switch. I received a quote over the phone and was given a 20% discount to get me to sign. Upon pick up of the 2 rugs, they talked my wife into signing up for the soak and neutralize treatment and in the true spirit of shady salesmen, didnt tell her what the total would be (only that its $1.19 per sqft). So the quote of $320 to clean 2 8x10 rugs ended up costing me $588 - I could have bought new rugs for that much.Ultimately its our fault for not seeing through this companys underhanded business practices, but it wont happen again as I will never do business with these people again. Who really wants to do business with a company where you constantly have to be on your guard to keep them from taking advantage of you?!?
Would NOT recommend them to anyone nor would ever use them again! OnlyGave 1 star because it wouldnt let me submit with zero! Horrible service and quility of work. Dog hair was still in all our rugs and the amount of dirt that came out of them was ridiculous-even after a personal vacuum. For taking 2 months to clean our rugs would expect much better outcome especially for the price you pay for professional rug cleaning. Poor communication and operations throughout the process and even lied to us saying that they had called stating our rugs were ready! They never called and our rugs were not ready! The only positive experience was the delivery men. They were very nice and I feel bad for them having to be the face of your business and deal with unhappy customers when they take no part in the cleaning process!
Those 5 star reviews are written by Hadeed - for sure. Look at the headings with their services listed. We took 4 oriental rugs to Hadeed to be cleaned and 3 were delivered to our house. They said that they had delivered all 4 and would not reimburse us for the cleaning fee or the worth of the rug. I had a hard time picturing someone stealing one rug...Two years later I received a call from Hadeed asking if they could deliver my rug. They didnt even know that they had had this rug for two years - they thought it was just a regular ol delivery. This part is my fault because I NEVER should have used them again: I took a rug in that had red wine stains. This was done the same day - thinking that the sooner it went in the better. The manager called me three weeks later and asked me what Id like done with the rug! Do I want the binding fixed? I said, you havent tried to clean it yet?! She says Ive had a death in the family, sorry I wasnt taking care of your rug. I called their headquarters in Northern Virginia but got nowhere. I sent my husband to pick it up and it was covered in a heavy cakey dirt. We threw it out. Ive never written a review in my life. Please do not go here - just throw your rug out and then go give the mean lady a wade of money.
Never used them, never will. One of their vans was on Powhite, proceeded to cut me off, and then dumped an entire Wawa cup out of the window right onto my windshield as I passed them. If this is how they drive, I can guarantee nobody should want to pay them to be in their home.
The pricing for Hadeed has gotten out of hand, it is cheaper now to just throw your carpet away and buy a new one then to have it cleaned by Hadeed (Mercer was not like this). Hadeed charged me $269.00 to have a 7x9 pottery barn wool rug cleaned that cost me $400. They are never up front with their pricing when they take the deposit, will be the last time I use them.
My carpet was beautifully cleaned; the service was professional and very courteous
The people were nice to me.
Lost my rug and it was lopsided when retuned after 2 months....only charged 1/2 price but rug will never be the same....never use again!!!
Received a letter in the mail today stating they have been trying to contact me since October 2016 to deliver a rug and charging me 108 dollars a month for a total of 540 dollars for storage of the rug and please call for delivery ASAP.They delivered the rug in OCTOBER and it was damaged with a huge burn mark. I am standing on the rug as I type this. So we paid for a rug to be cleaned and repaired. They delivered the rug cleaned but more damaged then they received it. Then they send a bill 5 months later with 108 monthly storage of said rug.I should have called them and offered to accept delivery. Sketchy company use at your own risk.
This is the worst company ever. I have never posted a review for any company prior. But the customer service I received was just beyond appalling. I was given misinformation. The girl Christina who answers the phones and makes apts for the company is not trained or qualified in my opinion to talk to customers. She gave incomplete information and was not only rude, she hung up the phone after yelling, when i dared question her about my concern. On repeated requests the owner (Mr.Hadeed) was not reachable and never returned our call. This company due to their extremely poor customer service and disrespect for clients should be reported to Better Business Bureau. My recommendation to all reading through this is to NEVER use them.
Couldnt be happier with my rug cleaning. All 3 rugs were cleaned and delivered by ver polite young gentleman. The puppy mess was gone and my carpetslooke great.
Very bad experience with this company - would not recommend them!Brought them my living room carpet to be cleaned and fringes repaired on two corners. I received a call stating that the backing of the rug disintegrated during cleaning due to age and needed to be replaced for an additional charge. I agreed to this repair based on their expert opinion. Once the work was done I went to their Richmond facility to look at the rug and found it in totally unacceptable condition. I refused acceptance of the rug and have been in dispute with this company for almost a year. To add insult to injury, they recently started charging me a $88 monthly late fee! The resolution they offered was that they would work on the rug for an additional charge - they refuse to take any responsibility for the damage.
Since I had never used a rug cleaning service before Hadeed-Mercer Rug Cleaning, Im not sure how it compares to other rug cleaners. It may be completely comparable. If so, Im not sure how valuable the service is.I recently sent 4 small rugs (three 5x8 and one runner) to Hadeed-Mercer to have them thoroughly cleaned as they are all 9 year old wool rugs that have only ever been cleaned with a rental steam cleaner. Initially, I was very excited to spend the money and know my rugs would be cleaner than ever when they came back. The pick-up/drop-off service is wonderful! I wasnt going to be at home during any of the available windows, so the rugs waited on the porch for pick-up and were dropped off there per my request. It was extremely luxurious to have the rugs picked-up rather than to have to take them somewhere myself. The rugs were gone for a couple of weeks. This was not a problem for us as we were on vacation, but others should be aware that the service did not involve a speedy turnaround. All the employees I dealt with were very friendly and orderly. Notifications came as necessary, and the process was made extremely clear. The cleanings were done during an advertised sale period. Of course, the sale was offered to gain the customers attention for upselling other services that cost much more than the rugs replacement costs, but there was no pressure to purchase these extra services.Eventually, the rugs arrived back home (after I sent an inquiring email), and we opened the first one. Immediately, I noticed the back of the rug looked quite dirty. We unrolled it and noticed the surface of the rug had fuzz and pet hair and even some kind of wood chips on it. As we dont even have a pet, I was quite disappointed know someone elses dirt had been spread to our rugs. We flipped the rugs over to vacuum the backing. How upsetting to see grit all over the floor when we were finished! The company claimed the grit is actually just the rug backing breaking down. Im ok with that explanation, but Im not ok with the fact that they apparently never turned our rugs upside-down during the cleaning process. In summary, it will save you a lot of money to rent a steam cleaner and clean your rugs yourself. I was under the false impression that paying several hundred dollars for professional cleaning of 4 small area rugs would gain us rugs that were cleaner than we could clean them ourselves. In truth, our normal process of sunning, shampooing, and then vacuuming the rugs upside down gets the rug much cleaner and only costs about $25 including shampoo. Plus, the rug never leaves the house or acquires someone elses hair and lint.
We will see. I havent got my rug back.
Beware, I requested a quote to have an 8 x 10 rug cleaned and deodorized and received a quote of @152 and I paid $100 up front. When my rug was returned I was told that I owed not $52 but an additional $162 since was rug was wool. No was called me to make me aware of this and I will not be using this company again.
Pathetic! Tried to contact this company and have yet to receive a return call after 3 days. Do yourself a favor and look to a company that is in business to clean rugs. Hadeed Mercer is a sham.
Great work at a reasonable price.
Charged $125 more than quoted. Did not do a good job. Stay away!
I was completely satisfied
Chock full o nuts
