Really cool barbers and you dont have to wait long because of appointments. I am very picky and do not allow just anyone to cut my hair. Harold was VERY good, and my lineup is on point.

I started coming to VIP cuts over a year ago when I moved back to Richmond. From then until now, Jason has been giving me great cuts. After other barbers pushed my hairline back, Jason used enhancements to bring it to the natural line. After a few weeks my line grew back to its natural place and enhancements were no longer needed. Most barber shops keep you waiting, sometimes for hours. The team at VIP cuts are complete professionals. Not only do they accept appointments, but they actually stay on schedule. Never once has Jason had me waiting past my appointment time. I’m able to get a quick cut between meetings and get back to work downtown. Laid back but still professional and the cuts are affordable.

Never have i ever had an amazing haircut before where the stylist took such attention to detail. This place cant be described unless you visit for yourself! First came in, the atmosphere was inviting and calm. the second you sit down, they take time to listen to your ridicules demands and still find out what you meant. Even past my awkward attempt at describing what style i wanted, the barber gave me her own twist which made the whole hair cut experience amazing. Vip cuts are the best barbershop in the city. I have been all over Richmond looking for a barber that could actually cut female hair without looking hard. Or breaking my neck out. I love dope cuts and Lavar was by far the best. I got so many compliments. All the barbers are professional and very good at their craft. If you are looking for the best definitely stop here you will not regret it.

Here’s my honest review, I came in on a Saturday around 5:30 really needing a haircut I’ve never been to this shop before but I figured I would take a chance because it’s close to my girlfriends house and they were nice people the lady who cut my hair “O” was a nice lady we talked about the normal things in a barber shop and it was nice. But when it was time to look at my hair which I failed to notice when I was in the chair I was astounded by how it looked, one side of my hair line was longer than the other, I asked to have my beard shaped up (which Was an extra $5) and the underside shaped as well but that was not done when I left back to my girlfriends apartment I showed her and we both went back to see if there was anything that could be done with this haircut but no one was there when we came back which was like 10 mins after the cut. So I ended up paying 25 dollars plus a 5 dollar tip for one of the worst haircuts I’ve had in a while. So I ended up calling my friend who cuts hair and he showed me how uneven my hair was and other issues. He redid my cut and it came out really great. Moral of the story is I will not be receiving anymore cuts from “O” anymore but they are really nice people

I dont require much in a haircut, mainly just a shortening, but the barber gave me exactly what I asked for. The man before me had a far more specific request and got exactly what he wanted, too. A tad pricey though...
