My son is about to turn 5 yrs old in 2 weeks. Today he got his first hair cut ever. The staff here was very chill, no negative or judging vibe. They managed to squeeze my son in on a Friday within a short window. Sam the Barber cut my sons hair in a Mohawk style with a very well blended fade. My son seemed very comfortable with him throughout the entire process. Its going to take some time getting used to the new look. No more big curly fro. His mom loves it. My sons got himself his first primary barber.

I had to the opportunity to observe and experience Barber Mike’s work…. And he takes his cuts serious in great way! Mikes is definitely the best place in Richmond to get a cleanup! Ive been all over this country and had my hair cut in over 30 states, and hands down, Sam is one of the nicest, most professional, and by far the most talented barber to ever cut my hair!!! Ive walked in before and they gave great service, hence the 3 stars (wouldve been 5 per last visit).Due to my prior experience, I called to make an appointment as directed by the website. Was told I had to download an app, make an account, and put in my card info etc. I understand it must be for cancellation reasons, but that is not convenient at all. Why can it not be as easy as calling, make an appointment, come in, done? Im sorry but that is too many steps for a simple haircut appointment.

I came in at the last min as they were about to close & it was a young lady & a gentleman. I asked if he could cut my sons hair for graduation tomorrow . He took us with no problem ! He took his time with my sons hair cut & even made us feel comfortable with conversation. Mike did an excellent job trimming my beard. Ive been to a few other people with mixed results but this was far and away the best trim Ive had. You can tell he cares about what he does and his work shows. Dont hesitate to go spend money with him, you wont regret it!

If you are Black Do not I repeat Do Not go to this Barbershop !! I went to the Light-skin dude Garland just for a shapeup, he left my my mustache and goal-tee uneven and I asked him to go back and line it up and he couldn’t even fix it, he also made my hairline uneven. Charged me $40+ for a shapeup and had the nerve to give me his Card.

I had the wave hair unit installed and it turned out perfect! Mike is very knowledgeable about the process for installing a man hair unit. If your hair is thinning, I highly suggest you check him out!

I have been very Covid-cautious so that I can continue to be in close contact with members of my family who are not yet vaccinated yet. I hadnt cut my hair since September, and my hair grows fast. I was tired of having long hair, but Im also highly selective on who I want to cut my hair. I chose Mikes shop based on the photos - seemed like my style. (In case it matters to anyone - Im a white guy with thick, curly hair when its as long as it was).Initially I reached out to Mike about his mobile service. However that ended up not being the right price-point for me (though it seems reasonable for that service - just not what I was looking for). He came up with a different solution that I was comfortable with. This was my first time visiting this shop, and already it was off to a good start. He was responsive to all forms of communication, he was understanding and non-judgmental on the phone, and he came up with a solution.Then on the day of, I arrived at the shop, had the first cut of the day, and felt very comfortable. Mike had a mask on the whole time and never once mentioned me being a nuisance in scheduling, which I feel like I was. He was conversational, friendly, and I felt like he was happy to have me.As he cut away, I could tell how much attention he was giving my hair. He clearly cares about his craft and making me look good. Since my hair was so long, he had to shape it entirely. I was a bit nervous that it was going to be a little rough and that I was going to need to wait until my next cut to be really happy with it. I was wrong, This was an awesome cut. I walked out feeling like a million bucks, yet the cut itself was very reasonably priced. Especially for the quality. Ive received high praise on the cut from everyone I know whos seen it. Its not just a oh you got a haircut. Rather, I receive wow - thats a really great cut! and they go on and on....Thank you, Mike. I just relocated to Richmond by way of Atlanta. I was extremely hesitant about letting someone cut my locs for the first time into an undercut. Mike was patient, vibrant, detailed and meticulous. He consulted with what I was looking for in regards to a haircut and he did not disappoint by any means. Just had my second visit to Mikes shop yesterday and was extremely excited with the cut and trim yet again that I got from Tray. I high recommend Tray for anything you want. I didnt have to explain every step of the way, just gave him the idea of what i wanted and let the artist work. Atmosphere is always great her and whether it is the staff or follow customers the conversations are always a good time. If you are looking for a new hang out spot where you can get a great shape up, I would say Mike Blendz Barbershop is where you want to go.

I took both of my boys today and mike and tray are great barber they did a wonderful job with my boys hair cut especially Tray my 5 year old he had so much patient with him. Just left there and am IN LOVE with the style Deeja crafted! Ive already referred her to a co-worker who plans to schedule an appointment. I tend to only get my hair cut once a year, so Im incredibly uncertain (every time) about what I want. I sort of pushed my hair into position and from that, Deeja was able to determine what I wanted and executed it beautifully! Everyone there is super relaxed and professional, the shop is nice/bright/well maintained, and I definitely look forward to going back to maintain my new style!

Moved out her to Richmond around the end of December. Back home had a great guy that did my hair. He always gave me a great cut..Mike BLEW HIM OUT OF THE WATER!! Before going to see Mike I tried out a few other barbers around the city. Never got a good cut.. Then I went to Mike Blendz Barbershop. I will NEVER go anywhere else now.. I keep a short cut with a bald fade. Mike nailed it the 1st time. Not a sloppy line at all.. Perfect fade.. Razor work on my hair and my beard was on point.. You get the full treatment there... Incredible cut, razor finishes, beard grooming/treatment and my favorite the HOT TOWEL TREATMENT. By far and away Mike and his staff are the place you want to go if you need a perfect cut. It has been a long time coming finding a barber I like. For a long time I had a guy who I loved going to and he did me right, but I moved and attempted to find someone else. I thought I had found the right guy to cut my hair until somethings went down and I moved on. I found Mike randomly online and by far Mike has been the best person to ever cut my hair, ever! No one has ever cut my hair as good as Mike did. I have never had anyone work on my head with such detail. Not only was the haircut the best, bet I tell you this guy is a legit down to earth dude. Hes a bit more expensive but so is anything worth having. Want a mediocre cut theres plenty of barbers in the city that can accommodate. Hit him up when youre ready to upgrade.
