I was downtown today searching to get my hair Braid.I went to a shop, where I was turned away. Jeremiah saw me frustrated, while offering help he went above and beyond. Call a friend which came to braid my hair and she did amazing job. Its a great thing to know good people still exist. He was very professional and I was impress on how shop was clean. Great staff, just want to say thanks again!!!!

I was visiting Richmond and wanted a decent cut. I found this place, not only was it nice inside the barbers were super cool. My cut didn’t take long and it was done right, you need a cut definitely go here.

I got a haircut here and they are very friendly barbers. Jeremiah is really nice and he gave me a great haircut. A little expensive though, however, it’s worth it.

Been going to Lavar for over 10 years. Always a good experience. Since Covid, they have been taking appointments, which is good for busy people. Also a good location right off Broad st in VCU area.

I needed an emergency haircut for my 9 year old and I was able to call about 15 minutes ahead and get him in with no problem. The shop was very clean and the music wasnt too loud. Brian was very patient and did a wonderful job on my sons hair. He didnt mind us being picky about a few things and got us in and out quickly. My son has a Mohawk and Brian was able to edge it up and round it without taking any of his height off. All in all, a WONDERFUL experience :-) :-)

Ive been in VA for almost 3 years and have not been satisfied with other barbers, but I can honestly say I finally found a barber I approve of. He took his time...he went over my lines to make sure they were sharp and perfect. Lavar has found a new client in me. Thanks again!

Walked in, waited for like an hour, and then the barber told me she was closing after she was done with her client, this was at around 4:50, still an hour before they supposedly close up.Only went there because all the barber shops nearby have closed. but youre better with anyone else.

Lavar has the best consistent hair cuts!! Always available, walk in always welcome. Finally found a barber that knows how to work with DREADS. Trim dreads, retwist, fade and line up! 3 years of searching has come to an end, he’s in the heart of richmond. Great and affordable for student and all.
