One of the more underrated 24s in the area. I spend most of my time downstairs where the turf, sleds, and half racks are. If those 4 half racks are used, upstairs still has 2 super old squat racks. Its an older facility, but has everything I need. While not open 24 hours, the gym opening at 5 am every day helps me avoid the weekend morning crowds.

Ive been to many 24 hour fitness locations over the past 10 or so years. I would rate this 3.5 stars if I could. Its not a bad location but much of the interior and equipment is pretty dated. Hopefully 24 Hour comes back strong, I know it got hit pretty hard during COVID and had to close many locations.

Visited to check out the gym since we just moved to the area. The website advertised 3 days free, but we were only going to try out one day since we are leaving out of town. When we arrived, the front desk stated they no longer do trial passes but she called another employee. An older white male, who I’m assuming was the manager came out with a negative approach from the start. My husband provided a military ID since we just moved from VA. They requested TX ID’s, but with COVID, our appointments aren’t until August 2021. I said that I could show proof of our appointments, he said no. We said that we just registered our vehicle and have TX license plates and registration, he said that doesn’t prove anything. He asked for proof of address, I told him I purchased a house for my mom and that I can show him proof of that, he then said “no” since that’s now my mom’s house. He then made a statement accusing of us wanting to get a free trial yet we can’t show proof. We thanked them and left. This whole thing was uncalled for. We will never affiliate ourselves with 24 Hour Fitness again due to this interaction. Military families move a lot and to have this negative experience really rubbed us the wrong way. Not sure if regional is aware that this manager is turning away potential customers, but this is definitely something to look into. We offered three different methods of verification that we just moved to the area, yet they were all rejected and we were looked down upon.A simple “I’m sorry, we no longer offer trials” could’ve been accepted, however, he gave us the runaround and left a bad impression. First impressions are key to a successful business and maintaining a reputable brand.

I have had great experiences at 24 hour fitness in the following locations: Rockwall, Richardson (Coit and Campbell), Plano and various locations in Houston. I live less than 15 minutes away from this particular location. Although, I have always chosen to workout at other locations due to the poor quality of equipment in this location. I previously tried this place a few times and poor experiences were the absolute result. This was all before Covid 19 took place. After Covid 19 took place, somehow this place managed to stay open despite other gyms remaining closed. This whole review is about the unprofessional management at this location. I understand the importance and taking precautions due to Covid 19, but there is a certain way to handle people too when it comes to customers. The reason I chose to terminate my membership with 24 after 12 years is because of Chris, the general manager, who basically stated you can wear a mask or leave! Lets be honest; everyone removes their mask for a short period sometimes. I see their staff members do it all the time when I was at their location. If Chris would have handled the situation in a more professional and courteous manner, I may still be a member of 24. However, when someone is that rude I as customer have so many better options. Other staff members are very friendly at this location. Maybe Chris could take a lesson from them.

This gym has had a 1 hour workout window since they filed for bankruptcy. This whole time I’ve been planning my schedule to fit around this workout time.Upon coming into the gym today at 8am they have moved the workout time to 90 minutes with a starting time at 7. Which means I’ll only have 30 minutes to workout and then they’re going kick me out to clean for 30 minutes. Not only that but there was no notice sent out that they’re changing this. The only heads up was a red sign on their door. Extremely inconsiderate

Been a member for over 2 years (hopefully not too much longer). Towel service is gone, but my monthly rate has only gone up. Take a close look at the weight/cardio machines. A large number of them are broken. (and have been for some time. Maintenance does not seem to be a priority to the manager.) You could not even guess when the last time the floor was cleaned. Free weights for the upstairs barbells are scattered every day I come in, its a total mess. The gym members have no common decency to rerack their weights after they finish their excersise. Half the TVs are broken/never working. Its cnn/foxnews politics on the TVs that are working... there are a few roof leaks, so watch out after it rains. Staff is unprofessional. (Probably underpaid.) The trainers are the only redeeming quality. But if you ask me it cost way too much for a personal trainer. Find a friend that knows what theyre doing. This gym has a dedicated squat/deadlift station downstairs next to their turf/crossfit area. Its really nice equipment. Its my favorite thing about the gym. Only problem is, the place is a madhouse between 4-7pm. Good luck following a workout program when you have a cross fitter hogging the squat rack for 2 hours.

Ive given this place a lot of chances, since its location makes it very convenient for me. But I have to say that Im not going back anymore.Although it is fairly large and has a decent selection of weights, machines, and treadmills, the locker room is abysmal. Terrible. In fact, the worst I have ever seen. Yes, it is filthy. But in addition to that, there is no adequate ventilation. So it becomes extremely hot and humid in the summer. This makes showing after a workout and returning to work sweat-free almost impossible.Yet the issue that has forced me to choose another location or gym is the water. At least four times in the past year there has either been no hot water or no water at all. The staff is particularly incompetent when it comes to communicating such issues to patrons. So I have been stuck without being able to shower on numerous occasions. I simply cant go back with the knowledge that this will inevitably happen again.

I work out here regularly. The hours on the weekends are okay, but not 24hrs (not a problem for me thus far). Its under new management now, or so Ive heard, lots of new faces at the front. My biggest issue is the condition of pretty much everything. When its busy (especially on weekends or during popular class times) the towels pile up to overflowing levels in the locker room. Tuesdays and Thursdays are very popular/busy days. The equipment upstairs badly needs to be cleaned and repaired. Some of the ellipticals and stair masters are absolutely disgusting with caked on grime. Im there to sweat and this gym is the closest to my house, so I try to ignore it. I know some of the cleaning issues is from rude members(towels on floor), but there are check mark times announced over the PA for cleaning that doesnt seem to happen.

This gym has good days and bad days, where sometimes the staff is diligent, everything is clean, they pick up towels and clean the floors. Other days, the floors are dirty and there are no towels, but the bins are full of wet ones. I blame a lot of the messy problems on the people who come and drop things on the floor and expect someone else to clean up after them. They walk through wet areas by the pool with street shoes since there are no rules about going through to the locker rooms via the hallway. Some people think spitting is permitted when they exit the steam room because there are gutters around the pool, and no one tells them how disgusting this is and no signs prohibit it. As for working equipment, there always seems to be equipment available and since I see people working out, I can only assume that the equipment works. The classes that Ive attended have had pretty good instructors. Several of the aqua classes are full because they are so popular, although sometimes the pool chemicals are off or the water is chilly.I cant compare it to any other club because I havent gone to them. All I can say is that the club personnel have always been very friendly but the club cleanliness conditions would be better if they were more consistent in their monitoring efforts and if club members would be more considerate of others.

I was soooo wrong. Well hell... but, Hey no biggie, I’ll survive. When I went to set up my free pass I waited 4ever for someone at front desk. No one showed. I walked to the lockers, back out to my car, and back inside and still no one showed up.Trainer finally popped up and said to just go work out. Ok cool. Whatever. Short staffed and busy, I assumed. It happens.Quite a few machines were on the fritz.Sucked but manageable..Worked out... got the blood pumping...went to sauna..I couldn’t believe it, but BUGS and by bugs, I mean ROACHES were literally crawling across the floor in the dry sauna.Icky but hey I’m a fast runner so ok...ThE showers were the final strike. No hooks to hang your stuff on, which totally sucked, bc 1)since this was my first visit and I didn’t know they didn’t provide towels at this location, 2) i did NOT bring my OWN towels, and 3) I am not totally comfortable flashing the goods to a bunch of strange ladies I don’t know... trust me they would not have appreciated it either 😂😂 But oh well, I’ll figure it out. No exaggeration, but I had an upset stomach for a couple hours after I left this place. 🤮🤮Disgusting doesn’t begin to describe that torturous, eye watering stench. It was so revolting, so nauseating.... I couldn’t believe how literally sickly it smelled.there was slimy green booger colored gunk in the drain on the floor, all over the cracks of the wall and on top of and underneath the soap dispenser, on the wall ridges, and the stalls smelled absolutely atrocious. I tried to hold my breathe as often as possible because the smell was THAT bad. Fastest shower of my LIfe!If I hadn’t soaked my clothes in sweat from working out, and I wasn’t about to head to work, I would have said to HELL with THAT shower experience and saved myself the stomachache..., but that was a no- go. I really needed that shower.Every. Single. Stall. Smelled. Like a dead decaying moldy glass of milk and dead animals that had been rotting for days in the hot sun and then thrown in the sewer to marinate. This location really made me rethink if I want a membership here 😭I won’t be going back to this location. Even if they offered me a free membership.. NOT WORTH IT.

Some days I jump 5 units before I find one that doesn’t slip, randomly stop or give an error before it starts.Front desk crew says nothing can be done because corporate does not want to invest any money in the 15 year old equipment. This is pretty much what I was told when I inquired.I liked that they have a turf to work on. Sauna, pool area and restrooms are clean when I went in.Use to have good customer service, aside from the ridiculous response I received when I inquired about the broken treadmills. Now I am talked to or treated rudely by some reps just because I bring up the broken machines.I am assuming the regional director for this gym is the same as the other gyms around Addison and Dallas as I have heard very similar responses from staff in other locations. Most out of state 24 hr fitness locations are maintained much better so I am still holding on to the membership.

Towels have been available 90% of the time, Ive used the locker room twice and it wasnt bad, havent tried the classes so I cant have an opinion there. I workout here every morning, and have been a member for about 9 months. The only bright spot I can think of for this gym is that the staff is very personable and welcoming. Other than the staff this place is a dump straight out of the 80s. We are currently on our 4th straight day of no hot water with temps in the mid teens outside. If any peice of equipment breaks you should be ready for it to take at least 3 months to be fixed (lets hope this isnt the case for the water heater). Yes this gym offers towel service, but to be quite honest I wish they would save the money and reinvest it into updating the gym. All this and the average membership is $40 a month, oh and dont forget the annual fee of $60...... beginning to feel ripped off at this point. I used to work out at this long time ago and its really going down the drain (I now go to the Murphy one). The place isnt trashy, but its grimy, the locker rooms and bathrooms are filthy, the trainers are kind of rude, the music they now play is annoying (they used to play a lot of Modest Mouse and Foo Fighters, now they just play too much EDM and Justin Bieber although I just listen to my own music on my phone), equipment is really old, its still hasnt been converted to a super sport unlike other sport gyms converting to super sport, I hardly see that many youngsters as most of them are 60 year old Asians (not trying to be racist), and its really stupid how they close at night on Fridays and weekends (Its called 24 Hour Fitness for a reason) and I usually work out at nights than during the daytime. However, I usually just work out for about 1-2 hours just doing basic weight lifting workouts so I am able to overlook some of these cons which is why I am little more generous to give it 3 stars than 2 stars which I believe would deserve. But they really got to do a lot of improving with the place and they should never close unless if its a certain holiday, its 24 Hour Fitness! Although working out there for years brings back memories, I would never come back her again unless they actually try to renovate the place, let alone making it a super-sport.

Functional fitness area downstairs has a lot to offer. Pullup rig, four racks for squat/etc., soft plyoboxes, tire for flipping, sleds. Always can get an efficient training in here, though it can be crowded at certain times of the day ( normal gym inconvenience).

Staff not really friendly, towels not always available, pool too cold, equipment needs cleaning more often. Clean looking generally speaking with lots of equipment. Basically the patrons are Asian and elderly. Theyve had lots of plumbing probs but I think fixed now.

Horrible customer service. I had joined this gym and entered into a fixed contract only for the summer and paid that fixed cost. After only a month they had charged me an extra $40 and will not reimburse me even after I had paid for the next 3 months of membership. Not to mention, I had spoken with the manager who said they would get back to me asap, and that never happened. All of this aside, the equipment is old and low in weight inventory, the gym and its locker rooms are almost always dirty, and one day while I was benching I was interrupted with what seemed to be water leaking from the roof tiles. Only thing I loved about this gym was the new turf facility. Overall, worst experience in my years of gym memberships. Do yourself a favor and look into another gym in the area!

I really like this location, and it is my main location, but the hours are ridiculous. They need to extend their hours on the days they have reduced hours. Theres no reason I should have to go to a different location because my 24 Hour fitness is already closed for the day.

If youre looking for a senior citizens high school reunion, then this is the place for you! But seriously, if you are looking for a place to actually work out: then you might as well go to the location off of Coit & Campbell. Theres always someone getting jealous & trying to fight you if youre dominating gains in your own zone. I even had the trainers scared when I used to work out here....they got a nice spa though lol.

There is so much that I would like to say.Cons1.) Head the warnings the locker room especially the womens. If you look in the shower you will find that it smells strongly of bleach. Second that some of the showers are under construction. Lastly that there is mold.2.) The pool. I actually got sick because on the one day that I went it was raining, and it was dripping into the pool.3.) THEY ARE NOT 24 HOURS. You think I am kidding we werent told that they closed early when we signed up. On the first Monday we went they said that they were closing. I thought I miss heard so I went down to ask and they said that they were closing at 8. When I went to another location ( the one on royal ) and asked what time they closed they looked at me like I was the most stupidest person. I dont blame them because THERE SIGN SAYS 24 HOURS FITNESS. Once I told them they thought I was joking and even taking bets amongst others. Alot lost.4.) It is very old, in this day in age they need to take those hours that they are close and focus on rebranding that location.Positive1.) The playroom for the kids. Its so awesome. My child can run around and have so much fun there. He loves it and it has a playground inside. There is so much for them to do.3.) The staff. They are really nice and almost always have towels.

Customer service is horrible. They treat the customers like they are paying us to be there. Last I checked, I pay them for horrible customer service. Speak when a customer is entering or leaving the gym...act like you care. The one on Coit and Campbell has much better customer service.
