They cleaned my laptop keyboard! Specifically underneath the laptop keyboard; there was a great deal of debris caught after years of usage and the techs managed to clean the entire board like new. I don’t have any more issues pressing any of the keys now!!!My Best Buy warranty was useless for my PC. The geek squad was completely incompetent and didn’t even think cleaning was possible.This is the only place I trust with my electronics. They’re on the pricey side, but still worth it.

I truly dont like posting negative reviews, but my experience here was just simply not pleasant. I took in my computer because I spilled water on it overnight and did not even notice until way later. I have had this computer for 10 years, so as you can imagine I take great care of it.I was told I had to pay a diagnostic fee (which is fine - understandable) of almost $90. Which I gladly did. My macbook air started running a little slow a while back, so although I did want to fix it, part of me already thought about investing money in a new computer anyways. So if it turned out to be too expensive then I would not proceed with repairs.After a few days I got a call that they were done with the diagnostic and that there indeed was water repair and that it needed to have some repairs done. The individual that called me told me it was going to be in the range of 500-600 (I dont remember the range exactly but it was enough to make me sit down). What repairs did it need? Well he told me they needed to replace the logic board and some pieces that connected to my display because it was shot due to me reconnecting it (by the time I noticed it had gotten wet-- it was too late I had already reconnected to the charger). I told him that I was going to take some time to think about it because that simply was more than I was expecting to pay.He called me back after I didnt (I didnt even take a day to think about it) and asked again. I told him I would not repair and just pick it up and he became extremely pushy. I also did some side research on what it would cost at another location. At other locations they were going to charge less, even reimbursing the diagnostic fee if I chose to repair. He then proceeded to tell me he was going to talk to the manager and she could help me better. He was kind of struggling to answer my questions.The manager then called me and told me more about the repairs it needed. She stated that it was not necessary to replace the whole board and that instead they could replace a few pieces and solder. She told me that if she did that it would be $378.This is particularly what I did not like during all of my conversations with them (we had plenty): they were EXTREMELY pushy for me to repair my computer. Stating multiple times that they had already spent a lot of time doing work on my computer and that they just needed my approval. Which is completely inappropriate.When I went to pick it up, the same individual that had the initial conversations with me handed me my computer and charged me. They had asked for my password to log in and make sure it worked, which I provided at the beginning, but they couldnt get in. They asked me to go in and input it to make sure that it worked. I did but it would not work, which happens sometimes. When I tried to go through the process of resetting it (through my apple id) it could not connect to the apple server id. When I tried explaining to the individual what I was doing and what was happening, he was extremely pushy and talked to me like I had no idea what I was doing (even though he was the one that had no idea what I was talking about), he even tried to teach me how, but it was just not going to work (i know how apple works). I told him that we could just hard reset everything since I had already saved everything. He told me they would charge me extra for that and would insist on saving my files.Naturally, I told him I would figure it out and left the store with my laptop locked. This was an extremely frustrating experiencing. I went home and had no issue fixing it myself (didnt even have to hard reset just had to do a little research). He also jokingly told me next time dont plug your computer back in when theres water damage and by that time I was so frustrated I wanted to walk right out of the store.WORST PART: laptop now has multiple scratches on my screen. It has a huge one. When I dropped it off, it did not have a single one (as I mentioned this is my baby). In short I WOULD NOT recommend this location for laptop repairs.

This company is VERY shady. They took in my daughters computer which had a moisture issue.They told her that there would be $108.00 diagnosis fee, which she agreed to and paid. She was contacted by a male technician numerous times and quoted her various potential charges ranging from approximately $600.00. She told them NOT to fix the computer and asked us (her parents) to go pick it up due to the fact that this man made her feel uncomfortable. We agreed. We went to the store and they did not do what she had asked, and against her wishes, FIXED the computer without her permission. When pressed about fixing the computer without her permission, they finally ADMITTED THIS DISHONESTY and only said sorry. They then gave us varying and confusing charges and would not release the computer to us (kept the metal bottom separate) until we paid their high fee. They literally held us hostage to this computer and would not release it until they got the result they wanted.This company is DISHONEST and acts in a criminal way knowing that clients would eventually have to pay to get their computer back disregarding the instruction NOT to fix it. I would avoid them at all costs and go to a reputable, national firm that cares about values and that treats clients honestly.

I gave many opportunities for iFixGeek to earn a better rating and they continually disappointed me.The months it took to replace the keyboard on my laptop, the difficulty in contacting the store, the sporadic contact and updates, being told to come out and pick up the laptop then arriving only to see the store closed and then having to wait weeks longer to pick up my laptop, the lack of an itemized receipt, and ultimately the price being much higher than discussed with no compensation or even an apology for the trouble means Im must unfortunately give a 1-star review.This place used to have a great reputation (thats why I went here instead of many closer locations) but it appears to have fallen off dramatically. I would advise everyone to check the most recent reviews to be certain iFixGeek has corrected their course before trusting them with your business.

I took my laptop in to get my lcd screen replaced, and when given the price range he quoted me for $379-$479. I agreed to thinking it would total to that, but when I went to pay for it the total came out to be $520, which is already pretty ridiculous! They also claimed that they ran a free diagnosis(originally saying it was $80) and said my battery needed to be replaced within the next month or two. I have had my computer back for about a week and the screen blinks and glitches with use, and my battery doesnt last like it did before I brought it in which seem like a weird coincidence.

Ive used this place before with success. HOWEVER...I took my cromebook in after update that locked me out. Took it in handed it over with pretty simple instructions. Im locked out. Can you help? They started with trying the password. I guess I understand they just wanted to make sure. I asked them if you can get into it great I would appreciate that BUT The real issue was that I needed was the data from the hard drive. Gave them the $65 someone was supposed to contact me later that afternoon worst case scenario tomorrow by noon. Well that time came and went I even waited for the next day. I could not get anyone on the phone when I called even calling the next day Left voicemails every time with no response. I drove 20 miles to the location I dropped it off sign on the door says open hours were given open yet there was no one. When I did finally get a call back a good 24 hours later was to let me know they were unable to get into the computer. Mind you My instructions were I need the data. When I arrived to pick it up the computer looked untouched and I was told they were unable to get access in the computer. I just took my computer and left. Unhappy with the results I took it elsewhere and they had no issues at all I got my data saved the day. I called this company again I wanted to know details what did you do I let them give me the rundown. Let them know that I was able to easily get my data off the computer via someone else. I asked that they refund my $65 for which they did nothing to the computer. I was then told he would run it by the store manager and call me back. Well they did not call actually Ive still not heard from them. I guess Im not surprised. Dont worry Ill never use their services again!! And I hope this review will save you some time possibly a little money.

I took in my computer last week. They told me that they could have a response for me within 2-3 hours. It has been a week now. I have been calling and they keep telling me they dont know that was wrong. They charged me a diagnostic charge for $72 upfront. Ive called them several times and they keep telling me that they will have an answer for me by the end of the day, with NO CALL BACK. Now they wont even answer my calls anymore. All that i asked of them is to let me know ASAP if they can fix or not so that I can make alternate arrangement.

My daughter payed 50 dollars to get a diagnostic of her laptop. Her laptop screen turned in was black and it wouldn’t turn on. For the diagnostic they recognized 2 problems and have done nothing to fix it FOR THREE WEEKS ! Going on now 4 WEEKS ! Once they found the cost to fix the laptop alone it CAME AROUND $500+ !! Oh wait did I forget to mention they added a 50% for one of the parts 😐, how considerate since they haven’t updated her on the additional fix that they failed to tell her that they couldn’t find... she is a college student during this covid period and without a laptop she is having to face failing her classes ! I should’ve never let her go in alone.This shop is sick and would rather argue with you on their reasons to excuse themselves for their lack of accountability and will scam you for your money.

I broke the hinge on my Dell Inspiron 15″ or at least that what i thought was the case until Kay opened my laptop right in front of me to show me that the hinge was actually ok and it was my top case that has been broken. Only one technician operates the shop and serves customers at the same time. After a month of delaying my laptop repair because of a claimed unavailability of a spare fan in the market, I pulled my laptop from the shop and found the spare fan in Amazon..It was delivered two days after I ordered it, and I installed it myself one day later. The laptop has been working perfectly since then.

This place attempted to charge me $69.99 for changing my iphone battery. Claimed that it come from the printed chart. With calm I asked if I could look at the chart and they hid it in a hurry. it was so obvious that they were trying to scam me. I needed a battery for my 2010 MacBook. Apple Stores do not carry parts for older computers. After some research and making a few calls to several repair places, I was most impressed with Raj. He didn’t have the battery in stock and offered to order for next day installation. I drove in 2 hours to the Richardson location, was immediately greeted and work began. Total time I was there, less than 1 hour. Replacing the battery didn’t take very long, but Raj kept watching to make sure there were no other issues with my computer to save me from a long drive back to the store. They are extremely knowledgeable, courteous and very reasonably priced. I would highly recommend this store.

This place is amazing!!!! Mywife and I came here to fix a customized circuit board and found this gem of a place on google (since we’re from out of town). The owner and ALL staff were so attentive and responsive to our urgent needs. We ended up needing to wait for a part to arrive from a nearby colleague, and the entire store welcomed us into their family. We were here during lunch time, and they invited us to eat their home cooked meal with them (umm... yum!). I can say for a fact, coming to this place and trusting their services to such an important fix, it was the best decision we’ve ever made. The staff are all incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and welcoming. What an amazing experience- thank you!!!

This place is a scam. Do yourself a favor and go one street over to the phone repair shop on Sherman. I called them before going, they said it would be $79. When I got there, they told me $89. I called them on it, so the price went back to $79. When I got home with my phone, I noticed lines through the screen and my screen wasn’t recognizing touch. This wasn’t an issue before I brought it to them. I planned on bringing it in the next day, but my screen cracked without being dropped or even touched before I could make it in- which voided their bogus warranty. I’m so thankful someone told me about the phone repair shop a block away from them that fixed my screen for the same price in 20 minutes, and threw in a tempered glass protector for free!! Save yourself the hassle and money, and get it done right the first time.

I really like this shop. Brought my friends iPhone 6s Plus there for screen repair. I had a much nicer experience than going to the Apple Store this one time for my own phone. At the Apple Store I had to wait for 5 days for an appointment and wait 5 hours in that noisy Apple Store, it was awful. iPhone Repair Richardson fixed my phone in like 30 minutes and they were friendly, informative and local! I know some people think going to Apple is the best choice but not having to set foot in the Apple Store was worth way more than the $21 dollar price difference. Heck I would have paid more!
