You must still wait outside. It is like Fort Knox. The wait is usually pretty long. Ive tried to come here a couple of times. Looks like one barber only is there every time. Wont try again.
Good old school style barber. I got good service for a reasonable price.
Very good haircut. The wife approves
Tried to walk in. Not allowed which is understandable. Signed up on list outside. Waited 40 minutes. No courtesy call indicating wait time. Still have not been contacted after an hour. Might as well just say it is only by appointment and not run the risk of alienating potential customers.
Reasonable prices and great staff. In a nice location and is the traditional barber from back in the day
Quick in and out and the guys were busy and it was very clean. Took my grandson here. Almost all were wearing masks and we felt safe!
This WAS my new choice for a barber. Been twice this year once right before Covid shut down and the last during the recent reopening phase. Both times I was quite pleased. So I tried for my 3rd visit twice in the last week. Apparently their hours changed which was only made known by reading a paper sign taped to their entrance door. (8a-4p...I arrived at 4:30p) I even called before leaving my house in Dallas and out going message didn’t have shortened hours. Nor did they make any effort to update their website or Google Maps business info of course. So I tried to return today (Saturday) aware of their new hours and even mindful of their regular shorter Saturday hours. I arrived at 2:30p, door locked with not even a sign this time. Called because you really can’t see inside through the door. Went to voicemail with again no updated out going message as to new hours. I stood outside for about 15 mins and no one came. That’s twice now I’ve driven from Dallas to get a haircut with no mind at keeping their customers informed or updated to their I’m assuming Covid hours. I will be finding a new place to get my hair cut.
Great haircut, good experience, outstanding staff. I would recommend it to anyone. Thanks for the great haircut!
I was back in town visiting family and needed a cut so I decided to give Huey’s a shot. Stopped by and had the best haircut I’ve had in many years. Got all the lines right, clippers were super sharp and used a straight razor where the ear meets the head as well as the neck. Waited about 10 minutes and she kept apologizing because she said she never likes anyone to have to wait. I’ll come here every time I’m back in town.
I went and there was only 1 barber present. He was just wrapping up another client and I was quick to get in the seat next. Cool atmosphere and decor. I sat down and explained exactly what I was looking for, as I have been getting the exact same haircut for 3+ years with a beard trim and line up. Well, needless to say what I ended up with was nothing I explained to the gentleman cutting my hair. If you have a beard, atleast when he goes to trim it he only uses a clipper and won’t line it up. Clearly he didn’t listen, and I knew when he said we were done 15 min after he started, there was no trying to get it fixed. If you are looking for a little off the top or a flat top, this is prob your spot. If your looking for a good skin fade, hard part, and solid beard trim and lineup, stay away!!! I went to a diff barbershop the next day and they did a phenomenal job at fixing what the barber at Huey’s couldn’t do or chose not to do.
Very good shop my husband goes here because they do a good job and always treat you like family
I walked in today and got a haircut, no waiting in line, because I was the only customer there initially, it was around 2 pm or so on a Wednesday. John cut my hair, he did a great job. Its a real nice barber shop in my opinion. I prefer to get my hair cut by real barbers, in a real barber shop, so Ill pick a spot like Hueys every time if I can, rather than go to a Great Clips, or some other similar spot. Ill definitely go back to Hueys when its time to get trimmed up again.
Gave me the best haircut Ive had in years! This place has an old school vibe that reminds me of the barbershop my dad took me to when I was a kid. If you are looking for a great hair cut under $20 look no further. This shop has been open since 1966 and some of the stylists have been cutting hair at this location for more than 50 years. They also do a great straight razor shave. Hueys has recently remodeled and now accepts credit cards.
Hueys Barber Shop is the best place in Richardson to get a regular hair cut. Ive been going there since 1985 and its been in business since the early 60s. Larry has been cutting my flat top since 85, but Glen does a great job as well. Huey no longer owns the shop and theyve upgraded the interior, but its still the quintessential old style barber shop you can take your kids to as well.
Visiting the area from out of town and needed a haircut. Friends recommended Hueys. Stopped by in the afternoon and the proprietor who has been cutting hair there for MANY years gave me a great haircut. Highly recommended.
A great staple in Richardson good old fashioned barber but also does the new stuff very professional. My Dad and Husband have been coming here since 1972
Larry is the best barber ever, hands down!
Got a haircut from John and it was great. Then I got a haircut from a lady and it seemed rushed and she smelled like cigarettes. Also she had hair from another person on her chair when she seated me. I will either set an appointment with John or try another place next time.
Fantastic cut and one of the the only old-time barbers left in the metroplex. Huey is skillful and understands exactly what you want in a cut. Hes owned the shop since the late 60s and his experience shows. Great conversation, great cut (and straight razor shave). I wont be visiting a chain cut shop ever again.Remember to bring cash or check as they dont accept card.
A great place to get a hair cut. Old style barber shop. Reasonable rates. Check it out.
Larry gives one of the worst haircuts Ive ever had. Clippers with a comb only. Uneven, choppy, and no neck shave.Pamela is great. Sad her employees dont do a decent job.
GREAT place for a flattop with that down home barber shop feel with a modern twist! Fun for all ages and cuts!
The people are nice and very good at conversations really relaxed and feel refreshing
Been coming here for a couple years. Never a long wait, if any. Decent price. Always walk out happy.
A perfect cut every time
Always a great hair cut... Larry is old school in the best sort of way!
Clearly i can say huey only knows how to cut hair of a particular race he bluntly told me je doesnt know how to cut my hair. Waste of a trip for someone that charge 19 you think he would learn
Short wait. Good service. Nice cut. Priced well.
After looking everywhere to get a flat top, including those mainstream so-called “barber shops ‘ (floyd’s and lucky’s) where they advertise “old school “ cuts, and when I asked for a flat top they said they didn’t know how to do one . I finally found Huey’s and Larry is the man to get that horshoe flat top. And he does it with skill and pride .
Great friendly place for a good ole haircut
No frills no baloney, Haircut 19, Shave 25. If you want a barber might as well go.
This is a BARBERSHOP. Enjoy a straight razor shave on the sideburns and neck to finish your haircut.
Would not let me in without a mask.
It is the best place ever to get a haircut
Nice service. No waiting at line
