John is the best barber in North Dallas. He managed to squeeze me in today. Even though they were swamped...he still was patient and gave me the full shave of my face and head the cue ball gets as a haircut. Took the time to professionally style my goate and mustache something that takes me a solid half hour to do myself at home. Ok, I must say that I really was hoping for a good review of this location. I have been to this location (3) three times and each time I had specific request. The services state they offer several types of professional haircuts, but they do not. They may offer but they do not know what the difference is. I wear my hear long due to certain conditions that are less noticeable with longer hair. The first time I went there I ask for just a trim, I walked out with a boys haircut..... The second time I went there I informed the attendant that I have cowlicks on front and back and not to cut the hair short and do not touch my side burns; I again walked out with a tapered short hair cut and short side burns, they just dont listen. The last time I went, I informed the attendant that I wanted to trim the hair and not to cut it short, a layered haircut and if she touched my sideburns-she would not get paid, well she did not touch my sideburns but again, I walked out with a boys haircut. I was hoping for so much but I again was disappointed.

Used to come here all the time. Actually pretty good cuts. But I just stopped in for a quick cleanup before a big meeting tomorrow, and even though there were 3 employees surfing on their phone, the hostess said I’d have to wait 90 minutes before the next availability. So headed somewhere else.

Good Haricuts with friendly staff, the place has a rock metal vibe to it.They are mostly appointments only so prefer to call them ahead during busy hours. If you have a preference for a hairdresser then look up online on their site for their work schedule and make a appointment with them.

My hair was cut too short and my hair is so choppy and it doesn’t blend at all… the guy took it too literal when i said near my eyebrows.. istill wanted my bangs to flair out on the side, but it’s all too short to even keep a wave. i’m a trans man and i’m already scared enough to get a haircut somewhere new after moving from alabama. at first when i got it cut i thought i liked it, but after a few days i have had the worst self esteem after looking over it more. it’s just very choppy and honestly has made me look more like alfafa than the reference photos i showed.

I took my kids for a haircut. A 5 year old girl and a 3 year old boy. They charged me $30 for her and $26 for him. My hair cut was $30 (which is normal, I’m an adult). And they have the nerve to make comments when I didn’t leave a good tip. Are you kidding me? Never coming back to that place. Also, the girl who cut the hair to my son didn’t have patience at all. He is a kid of course he will move a lot.

John has been keeping my boys sharp for quite some time. He can fulfill any request and does an amazing job!

At first it was just an ordinary level of bad, but when I went back to get it fixed, the manager who did the fix did what you can see in the pictures. What even is this? Just to be clear, these pictures arent before and after. This is how the two sides of my head look right now. I have a job interview in a few days.

Ruben did an AMAZING job!I came in for the first time with a messy mop of a curly bob and he transformed my hair into a clean, cut pixie with room to style. I love my edgy new cut. I still look professional for work yet modern and edgy. This is the first time I have ever met Ruben, but he was super nice, listened to what I had to say and gave me a perfect haircut!

Can get your haircut if you have an appointment. Its the only Floyds Ive ever been to where they turned away walk-ins.The vibe at this particular Floyds also seems off, but I think youd only notice that if youve been to others.

I’ve been coming here for years now, and I always walk away with a great cut. Before I started coming here, I would expect to get around 2-3 bad cuts a year but this place and it’s stylists are consistently great. I’m bad at describing the haircut I want, so I usually just say “make it look like it did 3-4 months ago” and they somehow nail it every time. Call ahead and they’ll even set you up at a specific time if you’re worried about waiting too long. This is a no-brainer 5 star review that I wish I’d thought to leave years ago because this shop deserves it! Hope it helps!

I brought in 4 kids right at closing and was treated exceptionally well. I never felt rushed and my boys were treated with care and compassion. This place is awesome for adults but its not out of the question to get youth cuts done here.

I was so nervous to cut my hair short, and not only did Colleen calm my nerves with her super cool attitude and demeanor, she did an absolutely amazing on my hair! Super talented young lady! I would recommend her to anyone! I cant wait to go back for my color! Collene is definitely my go to hair stylist from now on! Also, the atmosphere is my kinda place! Ive been going to Floyds for years...I mean, like over 10 years.This last cut I got was from Ruben and I must say, he is AWESOME!! Such a great listener and you can trust without a doubt he will give you his best!!

My brother went in a couple weeks ago to get his haircut and when he got home, he noticed a huge bald spot on the back of his head. The hairdresser, Mariella did not mention the mistake at all. We believe that she mightve done it on purpose due to the fact that my brother mentioned he works in a hospital even though he was wearing a face mask during the haircut. He was a regular and loved this barbershop. Not professional, and will not be returning.

Great Customer Service and cannot go wrong with any stylist. Their procedure during Covid are well practiced as well.

I called last week and scheduled an appointment with Sara and it was confirmed over the phone that it was with sara at a specific time and a women’s haircut, the woman over the phone even asked me how long my hair was and i told her it was enough to fade, but for some reason i get there for my appointment and somebody else other than sara walks up to me to service me for a hair color and sara had a client already. Fortunately sara worked everything out with professionalism but there was an unnecessary wait time and if sara weren’t there or wasn’t able to take me at all after i specifically scheduled an appointment with her, this review rating would be 0 and i would no longer continue business here. The service Sara provided and her presence was the saving grace of my continuous business.

I was in a bind for a last minute haircut on a Sunday afternoon at 5:15PM. We had an event we needed to get to and I couldnt go to my usual barbershop to get my nephew a haircut. I remembered Floyds when I drove by it so I googled them and said they were open so we went. I saw some mixed reviews and in particular I read one about Niki recently so I was skeptical but I had limited options at the time. When I got there I was greeted within 5 minutes and booked a cut. We waited another 10 minutes then a stylist greeted us right away. It turned out to be Niki so I was admittedly hesitant at first. So I told her what we were looking for a bald tapered fade, she made a couple recommendations to make it look better, we agreed and then she went to work. I waited and a few minutes later she came back and asked me to take a look at what was done so far and if it was ok. Turns out, it was better than ok, it looked awesome. I was very impressed and happy. I dont know what the other reviewers experiences were but ours was fantastic. Niki was awesome. She listened to our needs and worked with us the whole time. My nephew and our entire family were praising the cut afterwards. Its the best cut hes had. I would definitely recommend Niki and Floyds to anyone needing a haircut. Only thing I would I like to see differently or actually hear differently is for the music to be not so loud next time. Atmosphere was great and music was great as well but just a bit loud. Kid friendly and very cool interior.

Gomez cut my hair and is now my official barber . I go in every two weeks. Im extremely particular and he was patient enough to listen to exactly what I wanted then execute. He was cool with me checking on it mid cut and made sure I was happy with absolutely everything before we finished. Hes consistent, actually cares about your hair, and great with communication. If something wasnt perfect on the previous cut he listens to my feedback and gets it right. Best barber Ive ever had. I highly recommend him.

I can’t style it because it’s too short and I can’t show it because it’s so so ugly.. I have to wear a beanie all the time because I look like a 12 year old boy

I switched to this place from Great Clips and oh what an upgrade it was. The staff here is great and know what theyre doing and care about doing a good job. Like the Floyd 99 website. They make it very easy to choose and book an appointment. I lucked out choosing Jannell M. I found her to be a real pro and she did an amazing job feathering in color. Looks very natural, hello rich brown, goodbye strands of gray. Very happy with the entire experience and highly recommend her.

I love all of the Floyd’s Barbershop. As a woman with short hair, it can be difficult for me to find affordable options for getting a cut. Other, larger franchise walk-in places always end up making me look like a boy.Floyd’s is up on current trends and know how to take care of their clients. I would give them 5 Stars, but it’s difficult to get in. The nature of my job and family life makes a walk-in place a necessity. I always have to call ahead to see if anyone is avail to cut women’s hair (even though mine is extremely short). Sometimes they don’t. Everyone there is trained on women’s hair, but they don’t like doing it for one reason or another. That is BS.Another downfall is that every time I find someone I really like, they end up leaving due to high turn-over.All of that being said, I love Floyd’s and will continue to go there. I have never come away not liking my hair. They do good work and they are very affordable.

Very consistent no matter where I go. The Murphy location is my home stop and I’m always happy with the service. You’re advised to make an appointment on the weekends.

My Husband and I both get our haircuts here. The prices are very reasonable. Our preferred stylist is Charlotte. She is awesome, she can do an awesome fade for my husband, but can also do natural highlights and a really good womens cut. We are both very particular about our hair and Charlotte really takes the time to listen to what kind of look you are try to achieve and make it happen. The only complaint I really have is the front end staff which is the reason for 4/5 stars. The receptionist is extremely rude and definitely has her nose way too far in the air for a customer service based job. The manager is kind of rude as well, he let me make an appointment on a day they do not normally do colors. Mind you I am booking an appointment with the intention of paying and tipping my stylist and he was very arrogant acting like he was doing me the biggest favor in the world by letting me get a color midday Sunday. (Dead time) but hey, overall this place is pretty cool. They have a great set up, and most all of the stylists Ive seen do a wonderful job. Definitely make an appointment with Charlotte if you get a chance!

I nervously entered this place with high expectations of a perfect Angled Bob. It was my first time here and i wished it went well. I was attended by a sweet lady named Collin and she just had to bear my nervous banter at the same time went smoothly over my hair and gave me an amazing look! Couldnt ask for more. She also chipped in some quick tips for my terribly dry hair. I loved the place and the vibe. Totally recommended.

This place is always awesome. Ive never had less than a great haircut. Ive been to the frisco, euless and Richardson locations, and theyre all great. The staff is great, laid back, and theyre not trying to rush you out of the chair to get the next customer like a lot of the bigger chain places. They take your time and do it right, every time. Sure Ive gotten a good haircut at other places, but Ive never regretted going to Floyds. Its my favorite barber shop!

My boyfriend got a haircut here it was pretty awful. The Hairdresser Niki is the one who cut his hair. I had a picture for her to go off of and I stated several times that I wanted it alittle longer then the picture. She told told me that it wouldn’t stand up if the hair was too long. I understand this I have been in the salon industry almost my whole life but making it a bit longer is not gonna be an issue. I sat down and waited for his hair cut to be done. If at any point she needed the picture again I would gladly show her but she did not. She also kept him turned away from the mirror most of the hair cut. Once he got up from the chair and the cut was finished I could tell that he was not happy neither was I! His hair is cut almost the same length all they way around. It’s so short all it does is stand straight up. Almost looks like a flat top cut l. He is self conscious already and this bad hair cut has destroyed what confidence he had. Iv been coming to Floyd’s for about 2 years iv always had a good experience. I will say thank you to Jacob B who offered to take a look and fix it. There is not fixing something when it cut too short you can’t add hair back. My boyfriend was too embarrassed to come back in which I believe he has a right to be.I was refunded the full amount and I Thank You. We will not be back to this Floyd’s. I would make sure your hair stylist knows exactly what you want if you go here and make it EXTREMELY CLEAR. Because apparently keep it a bit long mean chop it off.

I cant really speak to the other stylists here, but my recent appointment with Jacob was wonderful. My old stylist recently stopped cutting hair and I have had some difficulty in finding someone that could interpret what I was looking for without a lot of leading and argument ( I cant believe how many stylists will straight up ignore or disagree with what you tell them you want) but Jacob was so sweet and understanding. I basically said, I dont know how to describe exactly what I want because my old stylist just knew but I just need it to be low maintenance, cute, and good for job interviews because I was looking for work. He took it from there I and I could have cried afterward because it was exactly what I needed. I also enjoyed the hot towel and warm lather razor trim on my neck. Definitely looking forward to going back here.

DO NOT SEE OLIVIA WHO WORKS HERE. I’ve been going here for over two years. It’s always 50/50 on if you’re going to get a decent haircut or not. I just left this location this afternoon and I took pictures of how they left my “low taper”. The lady who cut my hair said at the end “well.... I really can’t do a zero” so I asked for the “one” and she said “sure”. So she took her time and did this to my hair. Please see these photos, I now have to drive to another “barber”shop to get this fixed. Also, this is a $25.00 haircut (before tip). I’ve never heard of a “barber” shop that couldn’t do taper fades much less do this to my hair. I work in a professional line of business and don’t need this kind of haircut to represent my company. It is absolutely embarrassing. I will gladly take my business else where. This is the LAST chance I gave them to impress me.

Just moved back to Texas and as anyone who travels knows there are a few essentials to making a big move. Doctor, dentist, and barber all rank up at the top. I gave them a call, they were able to schedule an appointment within 30 minutes, walked in, zero wait time and was immediately introduced to Brandi who was absolutely AMAZING. All smiles, super friendly and spot on with the cut. Music was a little loud but I really do love the atmosphere. Definitely found my go-to barbershop.

This is the third shop I have followed Jacob B. to over a number of years. I really like his cuts and understand he is very knowledgeable with color, etc. Also he is very pleasant and always enjoyable to speak with. The location is the second Floyds I have visited and find it more friendly than the previous one I went to, also the general atmosphere is more relaxed. Usually a sign the folks working there are happy.

Nancy is awesome!! She is a colorist who’s done my hair several times. She bleaches my roots and dyes my hair pastel pink. She also trims it and remembers how I like it done. She helps me find the best products to fit my sensitive skin and works with me to get the right shade of pink. She’s wonderful!

Floyds Barbershop deserves a great amount of credit for being able to maintain the same amount of dependability, friendliness and professionalism even during the covid-19 outbreak.Today I was reminded why its probably going to be the only barbershop I use for the rest of my days.

Danielas hair cuts are high quality especially fades. She fixed up my hair after having a terrible experience at another barbershop that same day. I have been going to this Floyds location for about 3 years now. I go to the same guy every time, every 2 weeks. Justin is the man on this journey with me. I do competitive bearding as a hobby. This store has been on the entire journey with me from day one, when i started growing it. The staff is absolutely super friendly and a cool vibe every time i go in. In United states I had my first hair cut here. This is the best and outstanding. There after i have moved to Chicago and never got the hair cut like here. My 4 years old kid had a very nice hair cut here and she enjoyed. They are very professional and will understood your requirements.

Excellent staff. Seems to be high turnover of stylist, but the stylist there alway are professional, do excellent work, and are just all around cool peeps. Music is a bit too loud, but its good music, so its okay. Waiting area chairs could be a bit more comfy, but you usually dont wait long. What keeps it from being a 5 star is the the parking situation. Very difficult to navigate the lot and street parking is no easy feat either.

Loved the atmosphere. Selena cut my hair and she did an awesome job. Within an hour of getting to work after my haircut I received comments nonstop. Im incredibly happy with cut and service she gave. She was friendly and Soo personable. She asked questions and gave great conversation, and the silent moments didnt feel awkward like it can with lots of people. I have found my new stylist!
