I go to college here in Dallas but I’m from Houston so I’ve been hesitant to look for barbers in the area because you never know if you’re gonna get a good haircut until it’s too late. I think coming into Grand Master Cutz was one of the best choices I could’ve made for local barbers. Hell, I think he cuts better than my guys back in Houston, but shh don’t tell them that.

I think this place used to be called Joc Ds Cutz, but now they are under new management. It’s a good place to get a hair cut. If you have a little bit of time, you’ll get to hear some fun discussions and talks. It’s best if you are not in a rush and happy to sit around and chill. It’s also affordable.

I was very impress. They were professional, the place was clean, the art work on the wall was impressive. I was there with my son & grandson.The barbers were gentlemen and I wish them much success. I highly recommend them.God bless

Booked an appt with Mr. Cornett on a Sunday in April to get a haircut only to walk in and find out he doesnt take appointments that day. He seems like a very chill and skilled barber, and I wanted to experience a haircut from him. I did not want to use one of his other barbers which he directed me to cause they are not marketed on the website and was unsure of their skill level. In hindsight, I probably should have called to confirm the appointment(I was really busy that day) but if this was the case he shouldve called me and let me know that before the appointment I booked because a phone number is required and bookings were showing as available for that day. He instead chose to cut the persons hair who walked in a few seconds before I did even though I arrived 10 minutes early for my appointment(walked in 5 minutes before). In my opinion an appointment should always take precedence over a walk in. This is why barbers prefer appointments to avoid time conflicts and reduce wait times. I did not take this personally, but I dont agree with the way the situation was handled and dont plan on returning here for another haircut. My suggestions for the business is to correct the booking feature on your website or give people advanced notice before booking. Also market more information/material for the other barbers that are working on site.

This barbershop has has been my go-to barber shop for the two years. Never had a bad haircut and always walk out feeling good about my haircut.

The haircuts are usually pretty good but the customer service is horrible. I took my sons here for over a year but Im over the horrible customer service and am looking for a new spot now. I was completely humiliated as no one wanted to take responsibility to cut my sons hair after we waited for 2 hours! My 4 year old and I sat there waiting TWO HOURS only to hear that they all were done for the day. That is not how you do business. I am extremely disappointed in this barbershop. Being a single mother dealing with taking my sons in for haircuts around my busy work schedule alone is stressful enough without dealing with an ordeal like this. Let me mention that this isnt quite the first time, as a similar incident happened here several months ago with me. Im 100% done with this place and will not recommend them to anyone going forward.

New to the area and found this shop nearby my Airbnb. Friendly barber shop, upon walking in I was greeted and offered some water. I believe it was Trevor who gave me a cut, last chair towards the back. He took his time and did a great job with the fade. I would recommend checking out this shop if you are in the area and in need of a cut. They take walk ins and it’s was $20 before tip for my skin low fade. Like I said, my man took his time and I didn’t feel he rushed the cut in any way. Much appreciated.

Visiting the area from out of town and needed a haircut. Friends recommended Grand Master Cutz Barber Shop. Stopped by in the afternoon and the proprietor who has been cutting hair there for many years gave me a great haircut. Highly recommended.

Trevor did me right, first time in a chair in literally years and I walked in on a Friday without no problem. I immediately noticed how clean his cut was on another person. My fade is on point and blended perfectly, he’s masterful with the scissors, and shape up is sharp. Go see Trevor but all them dudes can cut accordingly from what I seen.

We had been looking for a barbershop for good quality cut for months now for my 15 year old. Ive been going here for about a year and I love it. My barber is Richard and I highly recommend him. He listens to me and cuts my hair exactly how I ask him to. Also, being a woman, I want someone who knows how to cut a females hair without making the cut too masculine. Richard has consistently cut my hair to perfection.

Went to get a cut on Saturday around 3:30, walkin asked if I could get a cut got the eye contact of confirmation. After sitting for 35 minutes no one wanted to cut my hair. I was very disappointed and embarrassed, when leaving a barber asked what are you looking to get i said a cut. What kind of question is that ? I will not be visiting that place again.

Grand Master Cutz has been around a longtime and with good reason. They give excellent services at great prices. The barbers pay great attention to detail in a clean and friendly environment. Not matter how you come in you will leave happy and satisfied.

The first time i went here it was great! This time, however, (second time) it wasnt as much. Firstly, the barber i wanted had 2 guys to chop up in front of me so i waited. I literally waited for three hours for the barber to get done with the two guys. even though he (the barber) was pleasant and friendly, he spent a good amount of time talking to other people rather than focusing on finishing the haircuts in a timely manner. Luckily, had a little extra time to sit and wait, however it was too long of a wait, nonetheless.Secondly, after all that time waiting, the barber didnt cut my hair like he did last time: the first time was great, this time, however, i was not satisfied. Additionally, it should be noted that it was the same haircut both times. Ive decided that I will not be returning here.

I started going to see Richard about two months ago. He knows how to do a great fade and the conversation is always great. I suggest going on Sunday mornings when its walk in only. He does a top notch job.

Ive been coming here for over 8 years and every time I get the same experience. The barbers here are all cool and get to know theyre customers which makes it a great environment.. The barber I go too is Richard he always finds the time to fit me in no matter what time I walk in and when it gets slammed he cuts at a great speed so everyone gets their chance to get a great hair cut. I would recommend this Barbershop to anyone and its very kid friendly which makes it great for me and my son!

This place is very good. When I got my hair cut here, they were very nice. The cut itself wasnt exactly what I wanted, but he touched it up to make it a little better. They could tell I wasnt too happy with the service and refused to let me pay.As a heads-up, the people that run the shop are black, and take black customers the majority of the time, so for white-people hair, you PROBABLY stand a better chance somewhere else. Still, I was very happy with the service here and would recommend it, regardless.

Just found THE barber (Shi-yah) for hubby!!! We’ve tried so many barbers but it’s always been so difficult because of his thick Asian hair. Shi-yah definitely deserves to be called a grandmaster because it really shows in his work! He is also super friendly and we had a great time there!

We have recently moved to the neighborhood. My dad its visiting from out of town and he had been needing a haircut. We decided to give it a try due to the reviews.We experienced a very welcoming environment. Everyone was very nice and he was very happy with his haircut.

Wish I could give zero starsDont be fooled by the number if reviews here.Firstly, the person that did my hair was friendly and paid attention to what my need way - which if why I left a 20% tip. Apart from that, the job was way below satisfactoryI just moved to TX from Chicago and I did quite some research about picking my barber/stylist. I clearly messed it up.- what he did wasnt even remotely close to what I had asked for despite showing multiple reference pics which he very confidently claimed to have understood.- very non-barber way of using the clipper/electronic razor. He lost me at this point- uneven and bumpy hair- I had to force myself to leave the place when he said he was done because I realized way earlier that if I asked him to correct something, he would only further mess it up- if you are looking for a style that is to do with a millimeter length hair, then this is the place for you cuz in my opinion thats one style anyone can do without messing upI had to immediately schedule an appointment at an other place to get the mess cleared but they could only do so much about it cuz of how badly it was done.I regret having gone here especially days before a very important event that I have to attend.They are reasonably priced compared to my regular $50+ - $150+ saloons/barber shops.I am forced to fly down to Chicago in a couple of days to see if my regular guy can do anything about it before my big event this weekend

After ruining my sons hair by trying to cut it myself I discovered this shop online. It was a hair emergency. We just moved to Richardson 5 days ago so this experience was an important one. They were all friendly and professional but most of all they were helpful. My son has ADHD and ODD so he can be difficult and full of anxiety but they talked to him and he actually sat for the haircut without crying out or having anxiety. He said, Those guys were cool like DJAys and I like that they talked to me, I wasnt scared at all. They will never know how wonderful it was for me. He really is home and this will be our barbershop.

Took my son here for his first real cut, have been doing it at the Kid Cut type of places that dont really know how to clean up the edges. The guys where very friendly and patient even though he gets a bit nervous and fidgety when getting his hair cut. His hair looked great at the end.
