I got there after 5 pm. My tire was slowly losing air after I hit a bad pot hole. It would have been completely flat by morning if I hadnt gotten it fixed. The service could have been friendlier, which is why this is a four star review instead of five, but they were very cheap and efficient. Fixed my tire in less than an hour. I was a walk in. Also, the fact that the auto shop is open until 7 was a lifesaver. Most auto shops close at 5 or 6. The fact that they were open late saved me from having to leave my tire to go flat overnight and then have to pay for an expensive tow. Say what you will about Wal-Mart, but I am super grateful to them tonight

I have gone to walmart for oil changes for years. I came to Rexburg and I have had my oil changed once there with a less than average experience. This last time, I dropped my car off to Kari, who had the worst customer service Ive ever encountered. She was rude and short and kept walking away from me without answering my questions. There was only one other customer there and it took them 20 minutes to call and say they didnt have the right filter for my car. When I came back, my car had a huge scratch in the front. The manager, Jen was very nice about it, came out to look at my car, and said I would receive a call within 24 hours. Its been two weeks and I am not even going to bother following up or going back. The customer service is horrible and thats the last time Im going there for auto care.

I have no problem with Walmart and will continue to shop at their store every week. But not at the Auto Center. Bought a battery there 13 months ago and started having problems with it 4 or 5 months ago -- had to jump the vehicle often to get it started. Three battery tests (including one in Walmarts shop) indicated some problems with one cell in the battery. Took it to a dealerships shop, and they were unable to run tests on power draw because of the faulty battery. Took the battery back to Walmart, and he insisted the battery was good, while going on a rant about how dealer shops always trash the quality of WM products. He wouldnt replace the under-warranty battery, so we had to buy a new one (not from him!). Guess what? Runs perfectly now -- it was the battery all along. So be careful -- you do get what you pay for, and after this Im not all that trusting in the level of expertise of their technicians.

My son stopped in to the auto department to get an oil change and when the mechanic went out to look under the hood he didnt close the hood all the way and then told my son that they were unable to help him at that time. But left out the part that the hood was still open. So as my son was driving down the road of course it blew up and cracked his whole windshield. He immediately returned and told them what had happened. The manager said because the car was never in thee shop they arent responsible for it. Even though the macanic was the last one to touch it.

Horrible service. Got there early in the morning, and was one of the only cars in the lot. Waited nearly 20 minutes at the counter just for the guy to rudely stand there in front of me without asking me what I needed. I was there for an oil change. He seemed so put off and told me it’d be an hour to two hours for he could even touch my car.I asked him when a better time to come would be, and he said...’’Uh.... 7AM. Tomorrow.’’ Seriously? Nothing for the rest of the day? Geez. If you’re short staffed, hire more employees! I’ll be going somewhere else from now on.

This place is a prime example of why the gene pool needs a life guard. I went there for two tires (215/70/15) and they refused to sell them to me because it is not the stock size for my truck (205/75/15). I just wish there were more brain cells then employees at this place.

They never have enough service employees. Went in at 7:45am and wait would be an hour and a half because they had two tire jobs and only two employees working. There are three bays, why isn’t there three employees. Not the first time they have been short staffed.

I went in to get my oil changed before leaving for a wedding in Washington and the normal wait time is a half hour which is to be expected. The employee told me that if I came back by 9:25 (in a half hour) that they would see me immediately. So I did that and the employee told me that I had to wait another half hour all because he had not signed me up when I was there initially. He then tried to make me feel like it was my fault because I had walked out, but he didnt say anything about me having to sign up the first time, he just said that I could be seen at 9:25. As you can imagine that was really frustrating as I was in a rush to leave town for this wedding. I called Grease Monkey and they got me in immediately, 5 stars to Grease Monkey!

One of my tires budged after just a few months. The manager was able to help me exchange a new one under manufacturer defect. He was really good at explainingng things to me and helping me do what was best for my situation.

We were told it would be an hour and a half for our oil change because they had a bit of a line up in head of us. No problem, we had shopping to do anyways. We returned nearly 3 hours later, and had to wait nearly 20 minutes as there was no one around (except in the bay and that door stated clearly that it was locked and to please not enter) and no bell or anything to notify anyone we were there. Once someone finallay showed up we were informed that they hadnt even started. The guy then proceeded to tell us we were very next in line and as soon as they finished with the pickup in the bay they would start ours. As he was telling us this, the mechanic brought the keys in for that pickup asks whats next and the guy handed him a set of keys that were not ours. Very unimpressed with how we were treated and needless to say didnt end up getting the oil change and wont from them. A courtesy call explaining they were behind would made a world of difference.

When I went in to get a service done on my car, they informed me they couldn’t perform that service. I was confused because on their website it said they did, which I then told them. They then checked their service board and said “Oh ya, we do have that service.”

I bought a battery and had them install it. The engine idled rough and cutting out afterwards. They didnt realize that Toyotas from 2002-2012 have to be re-learned . In the YouTube video, after the engine is warm, turn the car off. Then turn on and off the ignition 2x slowly. Do not restart the car, just turn the ignition on and off 2x. After this put the Emergency brake on, start the car, and place it in drive for a few minutes allowing the idle to reset. Again see it on You Tube it works.

I came into the auto center, because I had 2 tires that were off of the car & just needed to be switched over onto some different rims. I stood around for a half hour trying to get helped, while there were 2 employees standing around doing nothing.

The automotive workers are generally friendly, just remember they are not mechanics. This means they would not be very useful if you need your car checked out before a long trip because they don’t have the knowledge to inspect for worn belts, hoses, or brakes. On my recent visit I ended up having a slightly rounded lug nut, and since lug nuts are not sold in store, they did not have the option of hammering on a socket, removing the nut, and replacing it with a new one from the parts store. I was sent away without the balance and rotation that I had paid for with the tires about 5 months earlier.

Had a flat, called ahead and they said to come right in. So we did. Stood in the auto center and was passed 5 times by 2 different employees. Not one said “how can I help?” Then I get told they have to shut down the shop because of “sewage”. Sewage? In the auto shop? Sure. Overall, service was HORRIBLE!!

Worst customer service ever. We bought 45000 mile tires 1 year ago and because I rotated them myself, they will not honor the road hazard after they have only gone 20000 miles. Avoid!!
