Love this gym. My personal trainer Webster Jones is awesome!! You can tell he does this for all the right reasons. Place is super clean and they got all the equipment. Definitely recommend.
This is my go-to club. Always feels clean, friendly staff, and a lot of equipment. Love the recently added turf area with boxes and tires, which will only get better as more is added. The renovated locker room is a big improvement too.
Do NOT opt into personal training services unless you are ok with being in a binding contract. I was completely unaware that there was no way to get out of this contract. $440 down the drain for services I never was able to use do to moving across the country. I made this VERY CLEAR to the person who signed me up. I was advised by BYRON that I could call and cancel this over the phone. Mara the operations manager was completely on board stating this is not the first fraudulent report from this location when I called back in may 2021. I have been fighting for two months for a refund of continued charges. It is now August and her tone and conversation has switched. This is by far the poorest professionalism I’ve come across. Being hustled into a binding contract and no one has to answer for it? My word against theirs, who ever said the customer is always right lied. By the way I never asked for every payment to be refunded; Had they refunded something and acted as if they actually cared would have been nice.
Nice place I work out in pool an jacuzzi passing a lot through the years but the landing needs to fix there hole in the pool I cut my foot on an the jacuzzi so I been going to the Covington LA fitness I think the landing can do more cleaning in the bathrooms an showers one time u went to shower an had tons of mosquitoes but over all the gym people are pretty cool
The hot tub isn’t working for a long time. Don’t know why they don’t fix it. The equipments on the floor are very old and some are broken. Staff not helpful.Recommend 24hrs. Fitness, better equipment, better and friendly staff.
I looked at the map. It is open at 5 in the morning, but now I am waiting for half an hour and it is still closed. We all working and we do not have extra time to waste.
They need to keep their workout equipment in better condition. I havent been to the gym in a year due to the pandemic. My 1st time back, I want to start light and hit the machines. The machines looks like no one has done any maintenance in 5 years. Look at the photo I am posting. Paft of the dues we all pay is for maintenance and upkeep of the equipment. I expect better. Is management asleep?
I was a member at many different gyms including 24, golds, lifetime but considering the low membership fee, LA offers the most. Its clean with good equipments, pool, hot tub, basketball court, child care etc. Honestly I think the fee seems a bit low for what they offer. not enough group classes now but before the pandemic, there were many. I miss Sat Cindys step class and Sunnys zumba. That zumba instructor was on fire with high energy and awesome music and moves. Hope more Sat and eve classes will be added soon
Good gym with all the equipment, but if you’re an hour long or more workout type this is not the place. They walk around and tell everyone to leave after 45 min.. all week I was able to work out for an hour or more till today when a bald headed dude told me to get out.
I go here to strictly play basketball, and maybe some cardio. Workout equipment seems too close together.
The Tukwilla staff is very nice. Club is clean and feels safe. I go mornings, fewer people.
Beautiful facility. Very well equipped.
Due to COVID I’ve invested in my own gym equipment and decided to cancel the LA Fitness membership, at least temporarily until things return to more normal. Alas, their cancellation process left me with a permanent bad experience with LA Fitness.Around Oct 2020 I mailed in my request to cancel my gym membership and I have a family account. I was told by the front desk person over the phone at the time I could mail in the cancellation request using a form on their website if I choose not to stop by the gym in-person. Also, there will be a final month charge in Nov. I thought, okay that’s fair. Dec came around I noticed they stopped charging which was confirmation to me the account has been cancelled. But, Jan 2021 was when things started to go off road. There were unusual charges, small amounts like 4.40 and 5.49 in addition to the normal monthly dues which had been halved by this time because of COVID. So, I disputed the charges with my CC company on the Feb charges. All of a sudden I started getting calls from their call center stating I have not pay my monthly dues. Also, my cancellation was only on my primary account but not the family account and the rep insisted I pay for the family account. So I did and requested them to cancel the family account as well.Things were quiet for a month but in Apr I started getting calls again from their call center. This time I was told that my membership is active and that I owed them payments for Mar and Apr. By this time their reputation to handle cancellation as a backend corporate process is about zero in opinion. So I stopped by the landing location and to my surprise was told by Mara the newly minted operations manager (just started Mon of last week) that my primary account is opened but the family account was closed. She claimed this was a miscommunication between myself and the rep from call center. We went back and forth on the charges but she could not explain why there is a balance due on the account. Nonetheless she closed the primary account as I’ve requested and told me to just ignore the balance. When I asked who can I talk to that can explain this, she said her supervisor which was out on a break. Mind you I’ve waited half an hour earlier for Mara to return from her break and I’m not about to wait for another hour for her supervisor. So I decided to follow up another day which she promised to call me back the next morning. The next day I waited and the morning went by but no call from Mara. I called her back and to my surprise she claimed to not recall our conversation yesterday. But when I pressed her on her promise to consult with her supervisor, she then said her supervisor insisted the balance has to be paid. I was not about to have this game played on me and so I went again to the gym. This time David the district manager was there. We went back and forth again on all the charges dated since Jan 2021 for both my primary and family accounts. In the end, he explained the balance was an annual fee and Mar due and he would waive the Apr amount. So, I paid and got a zero balance cancellation email. I walked away thinking this is the sort of company I will never do business with again.
Bad costumer service, the front desk people told me I HAD to come to the start a membership and I only had one questions and they wouldn’t answer me unless I came. They just gave me a one sentence answered and seemed annoyed and weren’t very helpful. Honestly their job isn’t that hard and one of the guys didn’t even have his mask on
Earlier when WA was in more restricted phase they had to limit folks to 45min, so they could somewhat resume operations. Now that some restrictions are lifted it’s been more open.Despite covid, this has been one of my fav locations. Has everything you need equipment wise, plus a pool, hoops, & cardio machines on the second floor. Cardio on 2 is great cause it’s closer to the vents & keeps the musty-ness from circulating down below. Gym is kept clean, including locker rooms. Showers relatively clean...for a gym.I haven’t had to interact much with the staff, but the few times I did they were helpful (up front). I agree customer service/interaction may not work for some people, but I usually get along with most personalities. You have your typical gym personalities, but it’s definitely not as bad as other gyms I’ve been too. Everyone here seems to be pretty chill.Only thing I’d ask, but this goes for most gyms, is 1. the folks working the floor telling people to get off their phones if they’re just hogging a machine 2. Remind people to keep their masks up as much as they can. They were policing masks earlier on, but I’m starting to see more face underwear being half worn. It takes one person to spread it to someone in the gym then we’ll be shut out again! I’m just starting to enjoy being back. Also gym location is great with all the restaurants/shops nearby.
Regular 2-story LA fitness. The problem is this place smells like straight bleach. Like someone poured a whole bottle on the carpet. Im thinking its from the pool.
Nice gym! Cleaning is subpar. Machines are pretty gross around the bases.
Good clean facilities, but wifi worse than planet fitness...
Best gym in town! Incredibly clean, has all the equipment you need! I have never had to wait for equipment to complete my workout. The classes look incredibly hard - would love to try one!
Great gym, definitely more serious people than the other gyms around. Newly renovated and equipment is good.
The Gym is so clean and nice. Staff are friendly such as Alex.
Great gym and well maintained. The staff in the morning hate their jobs 😂 you cant get them to smile even if you paid them!! But the gym is great, all equipment is cleaned and working and plenty of space to exercise.
Really clean, following all Covid guidelines, very helpful and friendly staff!
Even though the gym does not fit everyones standards, I love it. Best one around for sure.
Janitorial needed clean trash inside of the locker and replace broken lockers door.
LA Fitness Fitness was excellent! Great customer service.
At least 50 unmasked adults, including staff. Delta variant, anyone?
Good price and services. Friendly staff.
Polite and happy staff
I couldnt Sign up on my LAfitness app and that was the only way to schedule my workout. I couldnt do it over the phone so i called my LA fitness Fairwood but first they didnt answer, i called them again so they answered but hang up on me and i called for the 3rd time but no answer again. I called Landing Local and Azul was able to help me out right away, in no time my app started working fine. I couldnt thank her enough over the phone so Im writing this review. Thank you Azul. You deserve more than 100 stars.
Managers are very friendly and professional and equipment is always clean
Clean gym, plenty of machines and free weights, staff is friendly and always plenty of cleaning supplies on hand
Closed for months due to Covid. Cancel my family’s membership once we hear they are going to be at 25%capacity and dangers of Covid with a new baby. They proceed to charge us anyways. Typical shady gym tactics.
Awesome place
It was nice going back, so this place is scam, when i signed up i took a family plan where they said i can have a pool lap with my kids, thats not true. The manager at this landing outlet said my kids have to be 17yrs, those are nolonger . Watch out if you gave direct access to ya bank you will notice some wierd fees from la fitness, which a not explained. The app is fake it doesnt allow you to make reservations and drive to the club allthey say is the club doesnt need a reservation but the pool needs one. No notice about this change. After 3 years of membership I have called it quits.
Locker rooms needs a bit of a make over but over all. I love this gym. My happy place.
Went in with my wife, and I wanted to join a different gym, but the new manager really sold me on them. He is awesome and obviously is passionate about LA fitness. The facility was recently upgraded, and is very nice.
Decent gym with dumbbells and free weight benches. Has 4 flat benches, 2 inclines, 1 decline, 1 seated, 2 squat racks and only 1 power rack. Locker room and bathroom are often not cleaned. However, the workout area was partially renovated about a year ago. This location also has free WiFi unlike some other branches.
The gym is great. Clean and all exercise equipment in good working conditions. Maintenance to entrance and water fountain have signs stating work orders have been placed since joining the gym the first of the month. Great friendly and knowledgeable staff. Some of the patrons of the gym are not following the rules of no phones out in the mens locker room. The staff ensures they are trying to resolve these issues. Unknown about the women locker room status.
Its a gym with enough machines for the time I go and the amount of people are there. I have never talked with the instructors or the staff so I can not comment on the customer service, but the bathrooms are mostly clean and the locker rooms are ok. It does have a very locker room smell but hey it is what it is. I enjoy the amount of free weights that it has compared to other purple Gyms I have been to. Although the purple gym is a lot more laid back and relaxed. But if you are going in to push yourself its not a bad place to go
Some locations need more equipment, and space
I like the way the gym is set up. Big place. I like the yoga classes too. The employees are nice.Im usually not too talkative with my headphones in but they always greet me with a smile.
I’ve been a member at this gym for over a year now the branch in ballard/Seattle is antiquated with many old equipments which is fine but shower areas are not that clean and always running out of hot water. I took at least 5 cold showers in the last 7 visits during day time.
Great place to go work out, and sciatic therapy, I really like it
It’s a chain gym so my expectations were pretty low. That being said, they just barely fell short of my expectations for them. You get what you pay for so don’t expect customer service, towel service, and please do carry your backpack around (re: locker break ins).Like everyone said, they largely go because it’s a convenient location. The other pros are......no that’s it. Gets the job done though I guess.
I usually go to this one or the one closer to SeaTac. This gym is a little more ghetto. But for a beat up gym, this one has a load of older plate machines that a majority of these newer gyms lack. For that reason, I love this one. Much better than the one near Kelsey Creek shopping center.
Pretty clean facility, the locker room is pretty beat up but still secure. They have never changed my monthly dues, which made me a loyal customer! Parking can be challenging during peak hours. Many of the machines are sized for large men which sucks. They have plenty of machines and you almost never have to wait for the one you want to use.
The showers at this location are disgusting, there are flies in every single stall. The locker rooms arent super well maintained either. The exercise equipment is fine, no complaints there.
Great people working out in hundreds of different styles. There are more options than imaginable. Great instructors and classes. I could care less about the staff. As long as they maintain the equipment and keep it as clean as possible. Its what you make of it
I love this place. My thing is I like step class and within 10 miles I have 5 gyms I can choose from. I have my routine and I can always check online for class schedules since they post changes and I know when my class is cancelled or if there is a sub.
Will never get another membership at any L.A. Fitness again. This gym is always packed with people, I even tried going right when they open but it’s still packed at that time. The evening is even worse. The staff is always on their phones at the front desk and are not welcoming at all. A staff member called me a few months ago to get a new card number from me and I told him I wanted to cancel my account. He said he could cancel my account over the phone and I questioned that because usually you have to go in and sign a paper to cancel. He reassured me and said they will no longer bill me every month. The next month, I got billed. I called again and asked to speak with the manager and the lady said the manager was on a break and would call me back. Hours went by and I never got a call. I am very frustrated with my experience, hopefully the next gym I go to has professional employees and a clean environment.
I workout here several times each week. 2 times with one of their Trainers, Maria! She has been a tremendous help to me in my recovery from Acute Myeloid Leukemia. I have been working with her for over 2 /12 years and my rapid progress continues!Facilities are clean and well maintained. Great.place to train!
Great environment and energy. Love all of the updated equipment as well.
Horrible experience with cancellation policy. If you want to cancel make sure you do it ahead of time otherwise they will charge you at the beginning for first and last month and then at the end youll pay for that last month too. If youre not able to come one more month after cancellation they will not make you a refund, and make sure if youre trying to cancel online you read carefully, dont be fooled! This is second time when I get to cancel for different reasons and now I know for sure Ill never register again. Dont waste your money, find a better place!
Rates Went Up.
For the life of me I cant figure out why the place cant be cleaned while the gym is closed. The cleaning crew is admitted upon opening so the customers are greeted with trash in the locker room and on the workout floor from the night before. Earlier weekend hours would be a real plus. Not all negative however. Nice people, good workout community.
Great gym and helpful staff! Can be sort of crowded depending on the time of day but otherwise no issues!
Spacious. More group classes. Very good facility. Ample parking.
Your stuff isnt safe here. I have seen 2 peoples lockers broken into over the last month today they broke into my locker I had a really good lock on it. They got my wallet with all my credit cards and went to Safeway on 3rd tried to make very large cash purchases. Watch your stuff. Dont bring valuables here
There is no reason to not allow a single person to use the racquetball courts
Ive personally never had a problem with any of the staff there. The facility can be a bit crowded at times and I can freely admit that the front desk could be more personable with better customer service. A welcome to LA fitness or hello couldnt hurt. I would recommend Chris if anyone wants a trainer. Hes very friendly and been there for a while. He knows his stuff. Other than that, the facility is a bit older so the machines are also old. The classes are pretty good and I love the sauna after a long work day. Overall its not too shabby.
Love this club and location but am frustrated how often pool is closed due Safe Splash swim lesson kids poop in pool (pool must close for 24 hours). For a club where I cannot bring my kids, it seems odd that money generating lessons close the facility I come to use.... When lessons are happening, paying members lose a swim lane to the lessons.... :-( Send Safe Splash somewhere else.
This facility is a fabulous place to visit for health and exercise purposes.Has great equipment for ALL areas of the body and is always sanitized and clean. Love working out there!!!
Great
Great location ... Fight Club and the staff was incredibly motivating ....super friendly... and just a great work out all the way around . The grand opening event was a huge success ...Thank you Renton Chamber of Commerce for being involved ...Thank you LA Fitness for having Omni Fight Club ... Staff was awesome ....
Ive been a member at the one at The Landing for 4 or 5 years and it has everything I need. I come in after work each day, do the exercise Im there to do and go on my way. They have a pool, hot tub, sauna, basketball court, classes and about any type of free weight or machine you could want. If a machine I want to use is occupied I use a different one and then come back to the first one when it becomes available. I dont really go there for a social life just for exercise and it is perfect for that. Plus its close to where I live and only costs about a dollar a day. I think its great.
If the Hunger Games was a gym, this would be it. There are weights everywhere, not even one sign about putting them away. If you want a dumbbell 30 lbs or less, you’re gonna have to go on a hunt around the gym for it. No one wipes anything down, so get ready to sit in some sweat! Or get your steps in by walking to the complete other side of the gym to get a paper towel from a dispenser off the wall and squirt something from a hand soap dispenser on it. The real con of no one wiping anything down is how bad it smells. The entire free weight area reeks like a sweaty butt. I’m here for summer and used to a gym filled with a few hundred sweaty college students—that’s how you know this is really bad. No one is very nice, so get ready to witness some yelling if someone tries to work in with a man using two sets of cables and 3 pairs of dumbbells! If you want to use a barbell-you probably won’t be able to. Oh and if you join-MAKE SURE to ask what the passcode is to get into the area with the toilets. The only upside—they have great yoga teachers! But this is Seattle, that’s not hard to find. If you want to lift, don’t try to do it here.
I love that this gym offers all of the equipment I like, except that I can barely ever use them since its so PACKED. I get that its a popular gym but sometimes its just too many people. I think that the equipment could use better cleaning too..
This is a great place for me as a senior I get to go to Silver Sneakers and the staff is just fantastic the exercise is Tuesday Thursday thats almost a full house and Im really worked or at least 55 minutes. Hell think you could beat it.
People use multiple machines at once, not a lot of friendly people working out and the employees dont assist/facilitate the gym to improve customer experience.
As someone who has worked at gyms, and been a member of many, LA fitness is a great example of get what you pay forThis gym in particular has many flaws, including but not limited to the dirty equipment and facilities, the locker room with very outdated, not even placebo security lockers, filthy sauna and bathrooms. In all honesty its better than planet fitness, but not by much.So for about $35 a month it could be worse, just dont expect world class amenities.
I have a membership with them and its a great place to work out plus a pool
Good gym with solid amenities but the prices are just too much.
Decent all around. Biggest complain is the closing crew does not pickup anything. I arrive at opening and dumbbells are all over the place and weights are still on barbells. I think they should change their policy for their closing staff to pickup and put away the weights.
I signed up 3 months ago and I am satisfied so far. its a bit crowded but only in the rush hour when everybody is back from work.. otherwise it pretty good and youll have your space.
Good gym, standard amenities with clean facilities. Took a star off for the behavior of the seniors swim instructor who is hostile and territorial in the pool. Half the pool is reserved for four ladies swimming in place and Lord help you if you stray into her zone...Edit: 7 months later. Still upset at the lack of discipline and unprofessionalism of the staff here. removing another star.
This company charged me three times without giving me a service or a response.👎👎
Ridiculously hard to cancel, rude customer service at my location and at headquarters when I tried to call them. They keep charging long after youve cancelled your membership. The only thing I liked was my trainer- she was amazing. The only reason why they have members left is because they wont let you cancel. Its hell to do.
A lot of the equipment needs to be updated. Lots of old stair masters, chin dip assist are very old, some stuff is broken altogether. I just feel since they are in the landing they should have higher quality machines.Plus it is much too busy at 4-7 to use anything without awkwardly waiting on other peoples machines.I like the one on petrovisky more.
The review done by Ranee Apple and Murat Bayir are pretty much on the button for this LA Fitness location (715 North Landing Way). The only reason I give it 2 stars instead of 1 is because of Andrew Barber (sales rep), he did a good job considering the facility. I did end up joining another LA Fitness location since it was updated but occasionally visit this one when Im in the area for work.
With more new and updated equipment for cardio workouts this renton location has stepped up. Would be 5 stars but one of the aerobic bike instructors, well she has a nasty habit of turning up the music so loud and leaving door open and makes it quite distracting and hard to work out when she is there
This is one of the cleanest and efficient La Fitness I have been in. The employees really seem to care about your experience. A big shout out to Andrew. He always makes sure everything is very clean and cares about your experience!!
Newly renovated location in Landing. Cycling instructor Tracy class is pretty good on Wednesdays.
You get charged a sign up fee and a second fee. One is 175$ and the other is $60 something and the membership is 30$ a month on top of that. So over priced. Its always too busy. The worst of it is the free weight area. They only have two flat benches meant for free weight users (theres another one for benching) and its so weird because planet fitness has benches that can adjust to be flat or sitting up but most of this gyms benches cant go flat. So there becomes a turf war over the only two available benches that can go completely flat. And people get MEAN about it. Ive been yelled at over it by another customer. And yes. Ive asked to work in. 90% of the time its a no-go 😡 people not only wont share but will camp out at there bench even when they are doing work outs that dont involve it just because they dont want to lose it. This poor girl today was using a machine that had a type of flat bench attached to it. I cant belive I payed this much to fight and beg for 20min on a flat bench.
Good fitness center with pool and hot tub. It has programs for children but no family restrooms. Locker rooms are gender specific and the bathrooms are in the locker rooms.
Great place to get a workout. Love the remodel they did at The Landing in Renton!!
I was visiting from out of state today and couldnt run outside due to rain. So my sister- in-law suggested LA Fitness in Renton just down the road. I was there for two hours and the staff was so nice, TONS of treadmills, great and clean facility, and the smoothie bar and staff were very helpful and made me a great local tea- based smoothie too! Yummy!
Great prices! And big selection.
Great place to workout. Lots of machines an free weights
Good gym recently remodeled go between 10 and 2 so you miss the Boeing crowds between shifts
Good equipment with adequate numbers. Facilities like gym, locker, pool and erobics areas nice. Am disappointed that 2 racketball courts are being removed for some other purpose. (What?) That is going to make the racketball courts difficult to schedule for everyone.
Ouch
Everything perfect only weekends the open 8am later
Public Relations: 1/10They messed up my membership, cancelled it, and refused to let me get a new one. They kept replying with their auto reply and refused to read my notes and accept fault.Great way to treat your customers. I thought you treated me bad when I was a personal trainer for you, but I was clearly wrong.
This is another location where all the machines are upstairs without an elevator and the staff does not ask those capable members to exit the disabled machines. Very unfriendly compared to other locations and although the steam room is always hot and working, the showers are rarely clean... like disgusting hair everywhere and the hot water skips out and the machines are mostly old.
I went there with my 3 day free pass and everything was good until I spoke with a lady with an accent there, she was so rude and almost didnt even let me use my pass just because I leave back to school in a month. I was very aware that there is a month membership I could buy but I told her I wanted to see if I liked the place, which good thing I did because just like these other reviews, these sales reps are horrible and rude, her sales tactics are horrible. My dad was going to sign up at this gym but Im going to make sure and tell him not to, I usually work out about an hour but only stayed 20 min because I was angry about how that lady talked to me..... avoid this place people!! They only care about the money they make!
I did like the yoga class. The staff were impolite and lazy. They s also stole my expensive $50 hair clip. i wonder how they got hired. The asian girl at the front desk was better tho.
