This is your sign to seek a second opinion. I did & it saved me thousands of dollars.I took my vehicle to Renton because it is in a convenient location, they have friendly service, and offer rental cars. Recently, my Subaru WRX (122,000 miles) was brought in for a routine oil change and a leak was found. I was quoted for work that needs immediate attention including, $3,800 to replace the head gasket, $1,200 for timing belt replacement, $700 for all new brakes, and $400 for ball joint replacement. In fair condition I was also quoted to flush my power steering, and more. A grand total of $8,600 to fix everything they had found.This didnt seem right as just 6-months ago I had my car serviced and put $3,000 for work that was recommended and in fair condition at that time. This included power steering flush service, valve cover gasket replacement, spark plug replacements and more. I work from home and dont drive my car often. So, I took it for a second opinion to my uncle who owns a shop up North, who usually works on my car.Based off of Subarus inspection, my uncle was prepared to charge me thousands for the parts and his time for these fixes but at a much lower rates than Subarus. However, upon his inspection my mechanic could not justify replacing the head gasket, as they identified the leak was coming from the transmission output seal and the mechanic redid the valve cover gasket to seal the leak. Also, they confirmed the ball joints do not need replacing and the brakes are at 75%. Additionally, they reminded me my timing belt was replaced 17,000 miles ago and had many more miles left on it.I am in disbelief Subaru quoted me for thousands of dollars for work that was not needed.

Amazing service center. I have been taking my 12 imprezza here since I bought it. Service loaners are.available and the have an extremely knowledgeable and trustworthy staff.Kim has been my service advisor for the entire time and has never steered me wrong. Sorry for the pun, it was right there...I have never had any issues with repairs from their shop and will continue to take my car there for its remaining years.

Thanks to the great service I get at Walker’s (Parts and Service), I’ve been able to get the most out of the golden years of my 2006 Subaru. I’ve entrusted them with my vehicle for the past few years, and am very satisfied with their level of quality and care for customers.Most maintenance/repair with Walker’s have been a breeze. The in/out process is pretty streamlined, and they offer loaners when the repair will take time (*need to plan the loaners in advance). I appreciate the text updates on the progress too.However, my vehicle is aged, and there have been times when a repair takes longer than expected, or doesn’t go as expected. Most recently, there was an issue with reassembly after a major repair that required my vehicle to go right back to the shop. But Walker’s did everything they could to make the process as painless as possible, as they corrected their mistake. My vehicle is running smoothly now, and I was impressed by their fast action when I reported the issue. Thanks again, Alex/Justin, and service crew!

I brought my car in for service on 5/21/21 (R/O 6303013) to get new spark plugs, a coolant flush and the bottom radiator clamp replaced. They misquoted me of the plug service but honored the original estimate. The car was supposed to be done saturday according to Justin.He texted me late saturday saying the car wouldn’t be ready till mid day Monday. I needed my car first thing Monday morning. day I asked him to prioritize the plugs and skip the coolant as I would have a different shop do it. He contacted me later that evening and said everything got done and it would be ready first thing Monday. I went to pick up the car Monday at start of business, Justin wasn’t there and the person told me everything was good to go.I looked at the invoice and they charged me for the coolant flush and new clamp so i paid it. I checked the car before I left and the original clamp was still on there and the coolant bottle was nearly empty which was how it was when i dropped it off. The service person insisted it was all done but later found that the clamp was on order - despite the tech having noted in the paperwork that the clamp was installed. It wasn’t.In order for the clamp to be replaced the coolant needs to be drained - so i maintain that the flush was never done. The service guy said they would refund the cost but it would be a mailed check. It is 6/9/21 and i have still not received the check. I called the service manager Bill Jones last week and I have a voicemail from him stating that the check never went out but he just signed it and it would be here in 3 days. I called today to find out they STILL HAVE NOT MAILED THE CHECK because they got a “new office manager.”Edit: I finally received the check on 6/14/21. A full 21 days after the refund was requested.The gross incompetence at walker’s renton Subaru is astonishing. It is truly unbelievable that whoever owns this business allows the service department to be run like this. This type of predatory behavior is why I hate car dealerships. If I didn’t know what I was looking for they would have gotten away with charging me for work they never performed.I will never do business with them again and plan to follow up with a complaint to the attorney general.I hope whoever reads this will think twice before bringing your car to them. Consider using All Wheel Drive Auto instead.

Making the recall appointment was fast and easy, even when I had to change it a few times. They got me a loaner for the 2 days, so that was great. On pickup, they lost my keys for 20m or so, which wasnt the end of the world, just a bit unprofessional. Still, for a dealer, its fine.

If I could do no stars I would. Where do I begin? I had an amazing experience with the Renton sales department so I encourage you to purchase your car there but NEVER have it serviced here. I purchased an optional security upgrade when I financed my new 2020 WRX through the dealership. This is where my troubles started. Shortly after having the security upgrade installed by the Renton Subaru Service center one of my doors had all electronics stopped working. I took it to my more local Yakima Subaru Service center who took one look and was convinced I had taken it in for aftermarket work on the speakers as the method of installation used was not something an authorized Subaru service center would do and voided my warranty (mind you the car was 3 weeks old). They used cheap Scotch Locks instead of soldering the wires like professionals. I then worked with the Renton service manager Justin who said he’d personally meet me and discuss options to resolve this if I brought the car in that afternoon. I drove 2 hours and Justin had already left for the day despite me arriving within 10 minutes of our arraigned time to meet. I was then assisted by Brad who was so full of BS I wondered if he had just wondered in from one of the used car lots near by. He explained that due to the location they were not able to do things right and the only option they could provide was to remove the system altogether and refund me (despite the Yakima service center saying it could easily be done the right way but they would have to charge me there since it was a dealer option from Renton). All in all, I got a refund and the sketchy wiring removed and reverted to stock but take my experience as a warning to never trust this service center. They are more than okay with taking a cheap and easy route and voiding your warranty. I have also noticed my electronics working better in the car since removal.

Never trust their estimates of service time.I have been here three times. Every time I was told when I booked my appointment that I would be able to wait while the service was done, and that it would only take 2 hours. Yet when I arrived, they assumed that I would have someone picking me up and be leaving the car for several days. On the first two occasions they were able to do the work, but it took twice as long as originally stated. On the third occasion, they said that they would need to keep the car for a week, despite admitting the procedure only takes a few hours. On all of these occasions, they called and emailed me the day before stating that I would be able to wait while service was done and drive home that day (see picture). I had to take time off of work to bring the car in, only to be told I had been lied to repeatedly about the time required to service it.This is not an isolated incident. Read the other comments here. Trevor B also complains of being told a few hours, driving in and then being told 3 days, Lauren was supposed to wait one day, but had to wait a week. ken baker even gives four stars, but notes how slow the service was.I have no issues with the quality of service, the issue is with the consistent bait and switch of promising quick service up to the point you bring the car in (literally calling and emailing the day before saying it would be done that day), and then revealing that the procedure would take much longer one you have already taken time off and driven in.

Ive had positive experiences getting in and out of this center within reasonable time limits, which I appreciate. Their front facing staff seem courteous enough, which is also a plus.However, terrible pricing practices at this dealership. While they tout being competitive, and even indicate they match, their prices far exceed that of most dealerships/shops in the area. They will also only honor price matches up to certain limit, even at competing Subaru dealerships. $100 for some bulb replacements that cost $30 and take 10 minutes to replace? Air filters that cost $25 yet they charge $50 for what amounts to less than a 2 minute install? A lot of this is going to their labor rate, which is a joke IMO.I would not recommend; go to Puyallup or literally any other surrounding Subaru where prices are reasonable and coupons are provided and matched appropriately; for the SAME ridiculous service.

I dont want those guys work on my car again, my last service in August 2020 to get my wrx air bag recall done, instead they do the inspection of the car go through everything and poke a hole in my rack and pinion make it leak, try to make business for $1800 Repair, my wrx was find no leak before I take to Renton Walker Subaru, this dealer service dept, is no honest cheating, peoples dont go there to let them RIP off bad dealers.

I had pretty good experience with them for standard warranty covered stuff in the past, but my last visit will keep me from returning. My daughter wasnt feeling well, I came in for a low beam headlight replacement. Although the headlights are ridiculously difficult to access, I have done this job many times and it takes me less than 5 minutes per bulb. Was told it would take 90 minutes... or I could schedule another time... which I would have to wait for something like 90 minutes. I should have bought the light myself and done my own replacement because of the difficulty in having it done there. I probably wont be coming back even though the bulbs go out every 4-6 months and they are covered under warranty. It is sad that is the situation. My daughter ended up throwing up in the waiting area but I guess its better there than in my car. When I got home and went to replace the fog lights that were out, I found a screwdriver that a tech left in my wheel-well. Next time, it would be cool if someone left a wallet, ham sandwich, or at least a fancier tool. People there were plenty friendly, but I wont be back and I cant recommend anyone take their car there.

As far as dealership service centers go, I think this one is pretty good. I dont feel like anyone is trying to give me the run around. I had an issue that, according to my online research, was commonly very difficult to diagnose. I read a lot of stories about people having to take their car back to the dealer 10 times. I had taken my car to a place closer to my house and they said they fixed it, but sure enough the check engine light came back. Then I came back to here because its where I bought the car, and they fixed it same day, 100%. No check engine light since.

TL;DR: Communication and customer service was poor/rude. Was lied to about services done, and told its my fault. No apology or ownership of mistakes made when pointed out.I requested an oil change(tire rotation included), driver side fog light replacement, and an airbag recall. The tires werent rotated even though I was told that they were(I have a nick in my front passenger tire, that tire is still on my front passenger wheel). When I called and asked why my tires werent rotated they continually told me over and over that they were. Finally after going back and forth a few times they looked it up and said the tires didnt need to be rotated because my tread wear was good. Just look up my service notes and tell me that in the first place, dont keep lying about rotating my tires. Also my fog light wasnt replaced(I asked 2 people 3 or 4 times, both over the phone and in person while looking over my car). I was told it was replaced 2 or 3 times. I wasnt charged for the fog light, they just completely missed it, but told me it was replaced. When I asked what happened, they told me it was my fault for not bringing it to their attention. I have email confirmation that I requested this service. It was my first time there, was hoping to build a relationship, but they showed me they lack the communication skills necessary to be trusted. Instead of taking ownership of minor mishaps and apologizing, they push blame back on the customer. How I can trust their recommendations and work done?

Bought my car from Walker Renton Subaru (that experience alone was awesome from beginning to end) and brought it in for its first service. I arrived 30 minutes early, not even expecting to be seen right away...I was met by a gentleman named Christopher D. This young man got me in not only 30 minutes early but also way under the time frame he said they would be finished! He even took out the time to place my Subaru badges on my car for me :). I also received a complete report of my service by email. So far...my experience with Walker Renton Subaru has been a pleasure. I appreciate Christopher going out of his way to go above and beyond his service.

Every time I brought my car here to be serviced Brad Hallock would act like the sky is falling over the smallest details. Oh youre back ends making noise thats extremely difficult to identify give me a blank check and leave your car here for a week, type of attitude.I paid for a diagnostic they called me and told me my car was ready to be picked up. when I picked it up all they had was guesses and hunches and did not identify or diagnose a single thing but yet wanted to be paid.These people identify as Master technicians but could not diagnose a faulty ground.Taking my car here to this location will be my last option.

The service department is appalling, they erased my performance map that I paid $500 for out, then I called them 14 times. I was put on hold for an hour 3 or 4 times. I would never take any of my vehicles there I just brought it in for some recall stuff and now my car keeps setting the cat code due to them erasing my dyno tune. They denied doing it. Unbelievable!

This was my second oil change at Walker’s. The first one, I was able to schedule an oil change on line. Showed up on time and said I had an appointment for an oil change. Nothing was said to me at the time that they don’t take appointments for oil changes. After an hour of waiting I ask a different service person and I was told they don’t gave appointments for oil changes. I ask was I able to make one? She was nice enough to apologize and said my next oil change will be free.Friday I went to get my second oil change on my car. Everything was going very smooth. I was sitting right next to service desk when I saw on me of the mechanic ms come and whisper something but I did hear #19 so I knew they were talking about my car. I had a feeling something was up and expected someone to come over and say something. Service guy did not and went back looking at his put. 10 minutes later he said my car was ready. He did all the paperwork and said it was good to go. I then confronted him and ask what the service guy said about my car. Oh it’s nothing, drain plug was cross threaded. I asked if he was ever going to tell me, he said it’s no big deal happens all the time. I said it has never happened to me. He said because you probably where never told. On a side not a customer previous to me was told his plug was cross threaded.When I was walking out the mechanic stopped me and told me the filter was cross threaded and had a hard time getting it off and spilt oil on my engine. He said they pressure washed it but when you start it it will steam. I went back inside and ask why the service guy lied about what happened. He never once apologized, corrected his statement or took care of the sit. I then started my car and saw the smoke come from the engine. At the same time the inside of my car had a toxic smell of oil. I immediately shut off my engine to go find a manager. I told Kim the story and got a loaner car. I can’t believe they where expecting me to drive away like that. This is the last time I will get a service her. It is more convenient but will go back to Ballard will I purchased my car.

Update: owner states someone tried reaching out to me about this issue. No email has been recieved in junk or spam folders either.Had an appointment, called the day before to see if they had any availability that day and told me best option without a few hour wait was to stick to my appointment. They called later that day and confirmed service appointment. I drive 45 minutes the next day to my service appointment and get told they have no availability and my car would be with them for 3 days for a 30k service. Horrible service and no consideration when people are driving long distances, should of called me to reschedule instead of having me show up to a scheduled and confirmed appointment and turned away. Lost my business.

The low level of care the service center had for my case was astounding. After leaving my vehicle at the dealership on a Saturday morning, it took a week of me calling every other day to figure out what the status of my car was. Was I offered a loaner car for the extensive amount of time I had to wait? No. I am not sure about you, but I need my vehicle to get around.The service I received was substandard at best. And the amount of communication from the dealership was poor. A brand new car has a defect, and they refused to honor a warranty. Sorry but I wont be coming back here, and I recommend people to stay away.

I bought a new Ascent and took it in to have the rock chip sealant and remote start installed. I dropped it off Tuesday and was supposed to pick it up Wednesday evening. They called and said that I couldnt pick it up until Thursday now because the remote start wouldnt come in until then. I called Thursday afternoon because I hadnt heard anything and come to find out I needed a new tore because it got a nail on the way to get the sealant done. Luckily they were able to still do it that day because the tire had come in. I went to pick up my car and it took them forever to find the paperwork and my car. Then once they found it they handed me they keys and I asked them where the remote start FOB was. About 25 minutes goes by and they tell me they cant find it and they will call the rock chip place and call me the next day. I was probably there a total of almost an hour just to pick up my car. Well I called them back today because I hadnt heard anything yet and spoke to the manager and apparently the rock chip place doesnt have them either. So now they have to order new FOBs and I have to bring my car back down there and wait for an hour while they program the new ones which will have to wait until next weekend now because I cant leave work early again. Im very disappointed with the service and it seems very disorganized as far as everything goes. Oh and for some reason my floor mats were all thrown in the back for some reason and not put back, its not a huge thing but it would have been nice if they could have at least put them all back. Not really looking forward to having any future service done by them.UPDATE SINCE LAST WEEK: So the new FOBs came in and I brought my car down to what was just supposed to be simply programming them since everything was already installed. Well come to find out my remote start was never even installed!! Now Im stuck with a loaner car again until Tuesday because they have to order in the whole installation system which was supposedly the whole reason why it took 2 days to pick up my car originally because they were waiting for it to come in. They said they will bring my car to me this time and see what else they can do but it better be something pretty amazing at this point because I am so done.

Helped a friend out by giving him a ride here to pick up his car that was getting serviced. They called to say it was ready, but when we showed up 3 hours later they hadnt even checked a leaky wheel that was specified and it was completely flat. Had to wait 45 minutes for that, and then turned on the car to find yet another specified problem hadnt even been looked at. Had to wait even longer and pay more for that fix. Overall really bad experience. If they missed stuff that was specifically identified in the maintanece request, then I have little confidence that they even do all the other check ups properly. Do not recommend coming here.Edit: after waiting 2 hours, the tire went flat again. Took the car back and it took them 30 minutes to diagnose that they have to replace it, taking another 30 minutes. Horrible service.

Beware this dealership. This is a predatory business. They will damage your car more than they fix it. Had to get a catalytic converter changed on a car I had just gotten from there. I start driving home and the engine coolant was drained.They will suggest expensive repairs that dont work.Buying a car from them has caused me misery, thousands in repairs, and days of my life given over to frustration.

Excellent service. I went there fixing my low tire pressure light lit up frequently. The service representative jumped into it and found that it might be my own fault on not gauging the pressure regularly and filled the pressure right. He did a good job explaining the situation to me and fix the issue. Nothing charged to me. I felt guilty on bringing some stupid issue to the service center but I was a very happy guy getting the car back with 100% satisfaction on their services.

Terrible service. Bought a brand new 2018 forester in May. A floor mat was defective and it didn’t have the right books in the car. I tried multiple times over the months to get new parts and still no call back from them. Took the car into get a new windshield (after waiting months for the OEM windshield to be in stock), they still didn’t call when the work was complete. They do have the right numbers since they called to confirm my appointment. Every time I’ve gone in I waited 5-15 mins just to be helped. I’ll find somewhere else to have my car serviced. I wish I didn’t have to deal with them for warranty stuff.

I’m not sure if today was an off day for them but none the less I’ve been trying to get through via telephone from 8am until 5pm to schedule my FIRST oil change for my 2018 outback (which was purchased from here).The transfer number gives me a unable to connect and when I hit 0 and spoke to the receptions to explain my issue she was extremely rude. She asked me what i needed and I said I would like to schedule an oil change for my outback. She then said “I’ll leave them a message to call you back bye.”If this is the service I’ll get via telephone I’ll have to pass on what it’s like in person. Will take my business else where.

Had my 2016 Impreza serviced here for a recall. Took about an hour. Then they told me my brakes were at the minimum allowable amount and needed to be changed ASAP. Took my car to my local Midas shop Ive been going to for years and they told me my brakes did not need to be changed. Terrible customer service and tactics.

Best service from my Service Advisor Kyle Wyatt and the crew! I was looking to get a set of snow tires for winter and Kyle came through with finding me a full set with an awesome deal. Got my Crosstrek back in time to take it up to Snoqualmie the next day and the Blizzaks definitely made me feel more secure and confident during the drive up.

Ive taken my car here four times for oil changes. The two reasons I go here is that 1. they give you a free rental, and 2. They wash your car. They arent the cheapest but for those two reasons I continue to go. I have had my car washed and vacuumed well once, the exterior barely washed once, and twice now the car has not been cleaned at all. I am now coming up on a major service milestone and am wondering if I should be looking elsewhere for maintenance.

This place sucks. We bring in a 2015 Subaru outback for tire service. They said would be done in 1.5 hr with car wash. After 1.5 hr, I went ask them if the car fixed yet, they told me that not done at all. They took 1.5 hr to find out that there are 2 nails in one tire and 1 nail in another one. The tire that have two nails they wouldnt be able to fix it, and they said I may need a new set of tires, and they r getting through an estimate for me. After another half hr, they told me that they will be able to fix both of tire… but they were running out of paddle, and need another 1 to get it fixed… I said to them, wow, it took 3 hr to fixed a nail? They said we did it for free. What?! All other dealerships do the same thing with a much shorter time. So frustrated. Never come again.

Dropped off our brand new (purchased 3 weeks ago from Walker Subaru) Impreza for an install of a small add-on the vehicle was missing as scheduled at 7:30am. Were told there were no loaners available, not even at 9 months pregnant due any day. Watched 2 people after us get loaners who hadnt been able to reserve one either. It is now 3pm and our car should have been ready at noon they said, 1pm at the latest, so we made sure to be here for 1pm. Had to ask for an update and have had no apology for the delay. Absolutely horrified at the customer service and unprofessional handling of this. We should have purchased at Carter Subaru, dont make the mistake we did for a slightly lower vehicle price. We will not continue doing service at the dealer after this experience.

Tl;dr This is the worst service center I have ever been to. Nothing to do with prices or being annoyed with unexpected issues. Purely the customer service.Scheduled a service online specifying I needed a 30k maintenance, one of my tires had a slow leak, and my ABS dash light had been turning on randomly. Dropped it off at 7am (8:30am appointment) and mentioned all the issues/requests again.Received a call at 2pm saying my car was finished. I asked about the tire and was told they didnt look for a leak but they didnt notice any issues during their safety inspection (nails, etc. in the tire). They told me to bring it back in if I noticed the issue later.Arrived at 4:30pm to pick up my car and they noticed the tire was flat when driving it out to me (they found a screw in the tire...). They offered to patch it for free real quick so that was cool. I waited over an hour (not very quick but oh well) and then they told me the ABS lights turned on randomly and asked if I had ever seen that happen before. I reiterated that yes I had seen that happen and I had mentioned it in my service request. Was told it was a switch issue and theyd need another half hour or so to fix it.Finally at 6:15pm I receive my car! Yay! But alas, a minute into my drive the tire pressure light turned back on and I pulled over to discover my tire is flat. Immediately I drove back for them to look at it. At 7pm I was told I had to get the tire replaced. Car was ready to go at 7:30pm (3 hours after I arrived to pick it up from its 8:30am appointment, and every issue I had to wait for them to fix I had asked them to look at in my service request).So overall horrible experience. I want to point out that my bad experience had nothing to do with having to get my light switch or tire replaced. Thats life. This service centers organization was horrible. I brought the car in early and told them the specific issues I was having. I asked again about the issues when they called to tell me the car was done. They ignored my comments and wasted my time. I will never come here again.EDIT: The service manager contacted me to discuss my experience. He was super apologetic and said he was appalled by they way we did business with you. I had a good discussion with him about what likely went wrong. He offered to comp my tire to help the situation which was nice, and said theyre going to work to correct the issue that lead to my experience. I added a star to my review because I thought it was nice they contacted me and the manager seemed to take my experience seriously.

I recently changed from Toyota to Subaru. After getting my Subie, I went first time to Walkers for oil change the experience has been kind of ...mixed. Very apparent difference between Toyota and Subaru - At Toyota you do not need appointment - and I learnt this after going there and waiting for 20 minutes before someone attended me. Yes, even for a 30 minute oil change job you need appointment. Ok. I accept, my mistake, I did not book appointment. Got the next appointment 4 days later which was working day for me and I could not do without a loaner vehicle, so I asked for a loaner, and no, they did not have loaner. In fact they were out of loaners for the whole week, and earliest I could get was on Saturday. Fair enough. Since it was Saturday, I did not need loaner and opted to sit there thinking it will be done in half an hour. Nope. Took about 2 hours before I got the car back with half hearted attempt at car wash. No worries, I told myself. Next time I needed a break job done, which was obviously a bigger job than oil change, and as I guessed they were out of loaner for a week again and had to wait till weekend for the appointment + loaner. Eventually I got the break job done, went to pick up the car only to be told that they forgot to wash my car. So I waited in the lobby after making the payment thinking they are washing the car. About 15 minutes later the rep came and said your car is ready and handed over the keys. I went out only to see that the car had not been washed! Confused, I asked what happened to car wash? The answer- there were 3 cars in the queue and since I was already there, they did not want me to wait.Thankfully, the break job seems fine. I hope the car does well and I do not have to go through painful appointment process and wait and lack of attention to customers. After getting this car, I have truly started appreciating Toyota (and their service department) who probably sell 30 times more cars than Subaru and yet manage to serve the customers fabulously.

Negative stars.... Went to get a warren tee repair due to lights. They acknowledged they were dim but since they were not out would not do the job. one hour and long talk with Subaru USA and they were going to do a good will gesture and replaced the lights..... I had hoped they changed 10 years ago I came in to get a block heater installed. They failed to fill the antifreeze back up. When I called they said do it yourself. Being slow I later came in to have the headlights adjusted, they assured me they had a machine to do it.... I watched them point it to the wall and fiddle, they got it wrong. so skip them, if you find a good subaru mechanic send me a note Im looking, need a head gasket replaced and Im sure not going here.

I called your place of business, to enquire about a xv crosstrek. The person who answered the phone said give me your number and I will call you back. Shouldnt you as a salesperson know what you have in stock? I said just put me on hold I will wait. 15 min later I hung up. I had another salesperson call me a few hours later. He said that phone call was recorded and he was sorry. Wondered if he could help. I told him what I wanted he gave me his name. I said I would be in on Saturday. I came in, was greeted and the door. I asked for the salesman. The guy who greeted me said uh hang on. Comes back and says we dont have anyone by that name. I walked out with my wife. Walked around the ENTIRE lot looked at about 15 different vehicles. NOT 1 salesman or woman came out to ask if we needed help. This has been the WORSED experience EVER....Sorry to say this. But I will buy from someone else who actually cares about there customers..

Brought my WRX in for a weird check engine light when I first bought it couple years ago. They reflashed the ECU but it kept popping up. They said theyd give me a call if Subaru released a new flash for it but I never got the call. Thank god the CEL disappeared after clearing it 4-5 times. Brought my car in again recently for a front suspension noise diagnosis. They spent an hour and charged me $120 for the diagnosis. The entire hour was spent checking the obvious stuff: your car has rear sway bar installed, aftermarket endlinks, the ENTIRE subframe (which was 8 bolts that i removed earlier to check for the noise) has been dropped... Entire time they made it sound like I abuse my car. They finally gave me an estimate of ~$800 to replace the top strut mounts. I declined and later found out my top strut mount bolts were loose. It took 30 seconds to tighten and the noise went away. Guess they were so eager to charge me $800 they forgot to tighten them.Also I topped off my windshield fluid the previous day. It was nice of them to notice my full fluid reservoir was low and topped it off for free. Seriously it is very unsettling that your mechanics who cant tell if the washer fluid is low or not are allowed to work on cars.They gave me a free car wash though so I gave one star. A friend had good experience with them where they replaced his out of warranty head gasket for only $500 so it might be a hit and miss.
